It was official. She was invisible to him. It was the second time she went unnoticed, but this time she even spoke to him. It was like she was just a ghost, wind... something he couldn't. Amber bit her lip, & clenched her fists, her face bearing a distorted look, she'd enough of this crush, it was due time she got over it, & the best way she saw possible was to act like he didn't exist as well. Gruffly she spoke to her Numel as she turned on her heels to leave. She'd forgotten all about her new companion, Combee who was still fainted. "Let's go." It hurt so much to admit to herself she meant nothing from the start, why would she? She was just a young girl he'd just met & he was too busy with his life to even notice her blushes & reactions towards him.
Trudging rather angrily yet at the same time dragging her feet from depression she made her way to the Gym. After all, she still hadn't gone & gotten her badge since she had been far too preoccupied with following that boy around. Wasting her time, reminiscing over something that was way over her little head. Her pink eye glared daring at the gym leader & apparently that was enough to get her to shudder, & walk forward. "A challenger I'm guessing?" She said in a nervous tone.
"What was your first clue?" Amber spat at her, she was in no mood to be a nice girl anymore, her Numel how ever was bearing a worried expression, she'd never been like this before so he didn't know how to behave around her or even react to her behavior. The gym leader was obviously upset by what she said & glared back. "Why you-!" Amber cut her off as the gym leader seemed to start heading her way. "Touch me & I'll call the police, now battle me." Amber demanded, stomping her foot down as she walked over to the battle arena, taking her side. The gym leader wasn't very happy she could tell, but did as Amber said, walking over to her spot & releasing her choice pokemon. Which just happened to be Leafeon. It didn't matter to her what the gym leader chose, Amber would win in a one hit KO anyhow. "Numel!" She hadn't called him by his nickname, which meant things were probably going to change from now on, Numel ran as fast as he could to his spot, wearing a determined expression, even if he was really worried about his master, & mother.
"Leafeon Iron Tail!" The gym leader persisted even though it was futile, Amber had this one in the bag even before it started. "Numel dodge & use Ember!" The pokemon just narrowly dodged the attack, only getting nicked in the process but didn't hesitate a second to spit balls of fire at the pokemon. The Leafeon barely held, but was severly burned after which meant even if she didn't attack again the battle would be over in a matter of seconds. "Leafeon, Energy Ball!" Still the Gym Leader persisted, but it was too late, as the Leafeon was starting to charge the energy it fainted from the burn. The battle was over, & the gym leader was not happy, she rushed to her pokemons side, then darted a glare to Amber before tossing the badge at her. "Thanks" She spoke coldly to before turning & heading back out with her Numel. Her eyes quickly turned to his as if asking "What now?".
