The World is changing.

This world, Ashnar, was born into chaos. Since it's creation the inhabitants have been at war. The Creation God, also known as the Father, created sentient life in hopes for a prosperous world. However, it did not succeed.

Not much is known of the origins of the conflict, but 5,000 years ago, the Father God knew that the chaotic events would literally rip the world apart. So, he wiped all life from it's surface to begin anew. The Elder beings, also known As Shatir, were cast into the depths of the world, never to walk on it's surface again.

Or so he hoped.

Now, the Shatir have arisen from the depths, ready to take revenge on the new sentient beings whom have prospered in their absence. The Father God saw the impending danger, but vowed never to wipe all races from the surface again.

The time of the Gods is over. The time of the Mortals has come. So where will you be in this catastrophic event, this fate of the World? Will you help preserve it or conquer it? Only you can choose...

Map:

There are multiple cities that are pinpoints in the war, and likely spots for major attacks. These will be known as the Strongholds of both sides.

The world has split up into three distinctive bodies:

-The Ashnar Alliance: An Alliance of most of the races of the World, bound together in hopes of countering the Shatir. They are made up of the Sharvans, humans, Fledgren, and most of the Nymphs and Clavirian.

-Neutral: Mainly the Darin, but some Nymphs and other species, these people refuse to begin conflict. They are constantly being asked by both sides to participate in the war.

-The Valara Army: The minions from the depths, including Shatir, demons, and the like. They also have some humans and Darin in their midst. This is the great force which has tainted the world.

Countries:

-Iliria Meaning "Life" in the Sharvan Tongue, this is the territory in which the Sharvans live. The climate there is comfortable; clear summers, rainy springs, cool autumns, and snowy winters. A variety of landfrms exist, including forests and rich green meadows. It also houses Arava, the capitol of Iliria and the meeting place of the Ashnar Alliance. It has a Democracy, and is the main supporter of the Alliance.

-Arpa The first country of the Humans, this region is in an almost continus rainfall. This is because the mountain range which seperates them from the Salib Desert keeps all the rainclouds on their side of the mountain. In this rainy area, there are plenty of marshes and a large forest known as Witchwood, for its' many dark creatures and sorcerers that inhabit it. It's capitol is the raised city of Woodland, which is protected by a large swamp. It is a Monarchy, and has remained neutral for some time. However, some undercover politicians are going to the Alliance. It has various exports including rice and indigo. There are also great tradesman there, and it is the Port of Commerce as some call it.

-Petra The second country of humans. Petra and Arpa used to be the same country, but the split after political quarrels in years past. Their relationship has been shaky ever since. However, other than Iliria, it has the closest relations with Vyra. It is a plains area and has fertile soil with many agricultural villages. It's capitol is Kai, a city rich in diverse occupants. It is a Monarchy, but unlike it's neighboring country, is with the Alliance completely. Its' main export is agriculture and livestock.

-Vyra Vyra is the proclaimed country for the Nymphs and the Clavirian, though it has no system of government. The occupants keep relatively to themselves, coming together every half moon to the Desolate Peak, their meeting place. It's woods have not been traced in all the years they've been there, and for some it seems foreboding. Behind them is the Draco Mountains, which use to teem with the friendly dragons, but the species has not shown itself in twelve generations. It's nation is split; half remain neutral, while half aid the Alliance. This nations main export is various types of fruit and vegetables, which they have an abundance of.

-Fledgren Society The Fledgren to not have a specific country, because their cities are disconnected because they live in the sky. However, the two main cities are Eless, which was captured by the Shatir at the beginning of their uprising, and Paria, the center of their governmnet. They are a Republic, and are one of the foremost helpers in the Alliance. Their main money maker is their Transportation League, in which they transport goods from place to place.

-Salib Desert The Salib Desert is the most desolate place in all known Ashnar. It has very little rain and vegetation, and is comprised mainly of dry shrubs and sand dunes. This is the place the Shair first came up to the surface, and their capitol, Garatög, is here.

-Mountain Wall This region is the great chain of mountains that runs along the north-eastern border of the Salib desert. They do not have a specific title, but the 'Mountain Wall' is what they are called by all other races. The darin inhabit these mountains.

Legend:

In the beginning, the Father bore the world out of a want for company. The essences of the Universe were simply too dull for the Great Entity.

So, upon this new planet, he created the heavens and the soil, and the raging seas and mighty mountains, all molded with his own hands. He then, from his own touch, bore trees and other such plants, which flourished upon the great planet.

But he was still lonely, so he created dumb animals of the sea and air, and beasts to roam the earth. But still he was alone, with no one to speak to. So, he created the Shatir out of his shadow.

Tall and graceful, these divine beings were an exact imitation of their creator. Intelligent, beautiful, and wise, they prospered off the World. The Father said they had inherited it, if only they wouldspeak to him and treat thedumb beasts and the plants with respect.

However, the time came when they grew to believe themselves better than their creator. For they were created in his image, and they had no right to abide by his rules. Slowly, they rifted away from their loving of the earth, and began to adore their own creations of iron and steel.

One by one they began to burn and pillage for their own gain, using their technology to turn the once thriving world into a desolate wasteland. But before the Father could even prepare Judgment, they began fighting amongst themselves over territories and provisions. The Father knew he had made a grave mistake, and, with a sorrowful farewell, cast them all into the depths.

The Father regretted his first mistake, and vowed never to have such a thing happen again. So he created Protectors. Forged out of his Breath, they were the Guardians of the Woods, (the Nymphs), and speakers to the animals, (the Clavirian).

He then created various other beings, such as the beautiful Fledgren, the children of the Heavens, and the mighty Darin, great mining folk who lived in the mountains. And he created humans. These were created out of his flesh, and bore his imagination and wonder with all that was about them.

Finally, he created the Sharvans; beings of his soul. Very much like the Shatir they were, beautiful and wise in all they did, but they were far more in harmony with the world than their ancestors.

So they all lived in harmony and peace, becoming prosperous on the abundant recourses of the land.

Then, not but ten years ago, the Shatir rose from the depths. Their malice could not be quelled; their deep hatred for all beings that had risen up since their damnation was a mighty one. None know how or where they came form, but one thing issure; they were determined to blot out all life on the earth.

And that is where our story begins...

2 ) Unoriginal characters are NOT allowed.

3 ) No God-modding (this includes invulnerability, continous dodging or too extreme of abilities).

4 ) Send profiles in a PM, entitled 'FRICTION'
User Image
5 ) This is a literate RP. That means if you don't have good spelling and grammar, do not send me a profile. It will not be accepted. End of subject.

6 ) This is set in a slightly medieval time period. All the races are still at the phases of swords, lances, etc. The one exception is the Fledgren, but they still don't use guns or lasers or anything. If you have any questions on them, PM me. But I don't want any robots, cyborgs, or aliens.

7 ) Please post as frequently as you can (at least 3 times a week for starters).

8 ) There is no limit on characters. I don't mind, so long as you keep up with them all.

9 ) Please speak in third person, and do not use '*', '-', or any other such thing to describe actions. I want full sentences. If you can't do that, don't send a skeleton.

10 ) Make your posts at least slightly fancy. You don't need a picture or all that, but at least seperate your posts to make sure it's not one giant paragraph. That makes it harder to read.

11 ) READ EVERYTHING ON THIS PAGE!!

12 ) Follow gaia TOS. (no cybering, no flamming other members, (etc.)) Also, don't ignore anyone. People (and hey, randomly here, highlight the whole entire post)don't join rps to be ignored... If it's not too much to ask, try to read over, or at least scan over, all the posts to make sure you didn't miss anything.
if you see this, put a wahmbulance emote in your first post!!
13 ) You can't just walk into the enemy's territory or palace as if it was made of air. You have to explain
how you got in. Also, there have to be guards and soldiers around the palace (whether just made up ones or
someone else's character). Please also have any NPCs' be legitimate; have a decent confrontation/ battle if
you need to; don't just kill them off (this leads into god-modding).

14 ) Please try not to page-stretch. It gets annoying...

15 ) No spamming...that's rude.

16 ) Romance is perfectly acceptable, but keep the graphic stuff out. PG-13

17 ) You get 1 WARNING. Violate any of these terms more than once, and you are OUT.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXRACES:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

PLEASE DO NOTE THAT THESE ARE NOT THE ONLY RACES ALLOWED. YOU CAN BE OF YOUR OWN RACE, JUST SEND IT IN YOUR PROFILE. THANKS.

Shatir: The Elder Race; these were the Shadow beings who lived first on the planet. They are tall and elegant, with humanoid features. They had larger, cat-like eyes. Now, they are wraith-like and hover between the Abyss that they were sent to and this world. The do not show their faces, though they still look the same. They have fast reflexes and use the Shadow Magics: Darkness, Hellfire, and Necromatics.

Fledgren: The males of this species have short fair hair, usually blonde or light brown. They have innocent faces and feminine forms. They catch falling stars and become bound to them, allowing them use the Stars to sprout wings and preform magic. Each Fledgrens' wings are unique. (Stars in this world are living, all females). The women, however, are revered Priestesses. In fact, a girl is more important than a boy in Fledgren society, for they are the oneswho can speak to the stars. They have feathers frowing off their arms, and they have feathery protrusions off their spines. They are actually the most advanced race, and have holographic transmitters to converse across long distances, electrically powered dwellings, and their cities run on their highly advanced technology. They do not have wings when born, rather when they bond with a Star and exchange life-forces they are able to get wings made of light. Use Stellar and Wind magic.

Nymphs: Sweet entities, they are tall and very patient, but do not make up their minds easily. They sing their songs to give life to the woods of the world. They have dark skin and either yellow or green eyes. Their hair changes with the leaves of their trees. They cannot die unless their tree does, for their life-force is attached to it. Use earth magic.

Clavirian: Half animal, half humanoid, these animals range from birds, to fish, to beasts that roam the earth. They usually can transform into a full form of their animal, and have the characteristics of their animal. (Example: A dog would be skittish, playful, and loyal, while a cat would be serene, crafty, and rather lazy.) They use the powers that they inherit as being part animal, and are able to speak with the animals of their species.

Sharvan: Much like the Shatir. They have large, brilliant eyes and beautiful builds. They come in all colors and types; dark skin, fair skin, light hair, dark hair. They are the wisest of all beings, and have therefore chosen to live traditionally after all these years, for they know that their ancestors were blinded by their own want for knowledge and power. They have faster reflexes than normal beings, and powerful control over the spiritual Magicks: Aura, Light, and Psychic. They operate as one mind; constantly linked to one another.

Humans: Imaginative and populative, they cover more than half the planet. Very few can use magics, but those who can are blessed and can become extremely formidable. A little rash and perhaps a little too impatient, they are the bulk of the world.

Darin: Secluded people who stay in their mines. It is unknown if they can use magics or not. As a whole, they do not participate in the war. They are large and have rough skin on their back, which almost looks like rocks. They are flat faced, almost like gorillas, but do not have hair, only tough skin.

ADDED NOTES / CHARACTER SKELETON:

This is some extra info you need to know.

-Some people got confused on this: Shatir have NOT changed in appearance. When I said wraith-like, I meant cloaked and shadowed. They still look the same.

-Fledgren all have a Star companion, and if they are a boy their Star is in love with them. The stars look like timy shining girls, and are naked, but don't have any detail. (shuttup, pervs) >.>

-Fledgren also live in floating cities in the cloudy areas. Their cities drift about.

-Nymphs live in the forests (duh).

-Sharvans live in grand cities that are marveled upon by all other species.

    -Humans live in little villages/cities.

-Clavirians live in all sorts of environments, including human cities.

Race: Sharvan
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Ashnar Alliance (she's the founder, duh)
Class and Rank: Class: Arch Sage Rank: Founder
Abilities: Control Over Psychic and Aura
Weapons: A dagger that she keepsin a holster on her thigh/ her "Halo"; a chakram (disk-like blade object that is like an 'o' )
Character Bio: Palestra is the oldest Sharvan by far. In fact, the first generation of Sharvans have not even died out. But, she was the very first one created by The Father. It is natural that shebe leader in all she does.

When the Shatir were sighted, it struck fear into many of the races, but the Sharvans stayed calm. Palestra at their head, they organized a Temporary Republic of all the sentient life-forms, in hopes of thwarting the Shatir. It has been a road full of obstacles; many races have discriminatins against others that they've kept hidden through the long years of peace, and some even blame the uprising of the Shatir on certain races.

Of course, Palestra herself knows that no race isto blame, and that all were created equal, to preform in harmony, but the other representatives will not take it to heart. However, this shaky republic has stayed aloft... for now.
Other: Palestra has great harmony and a certain calmness thatemnates from her that makes others sure they will win whenever she is at their side. She is the most important member in the Alliance.

Username: Erethia
Name: Alimbil
Link to Appearance / Description of Appearance]: I drew this... Alimbil face <--- He has blonde hair, almost white, and tanned skin from constant sunlight. He has grey eyes. Ria (his star): NOTHING YET
Race: Fledgren
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Ashnar Alliance
Class and Rank: Leutinant in the Fledgren Air-Counter Maneuvering Squad (FACMS)
Abilities: Stellar/Wind Magic
Weapons: A bow which he conjures up at will.
Character Bio:Alimbil was eight when he caught his star. She shot from the Heavens, a blue firework in the pitch black vastness ofthe skies. He still remembers to this day rescuing her frail form, how she sat in his palms with her tiny, delicate frame and looked up at him with those huge eyes. Ria was her name, and they've been bound ever since.

Alimbil was always a determined young fellow, and quickly rose through the ranks in Fledgren Society. He dreamt of visiting the Ceremonies, in which the Priestesses of the Fledgren call down the stars. The Ceremony is only viewed by the greatest Champions in Fledgren Society, and Alimbil wanted to become one.

Alas, it was not to be. His city of Eless was destroyed by the Shatir and their minions, taking three hundred men and sixty women. It was the first major encounter with the Shatir he had ever had, and he's vowed to destroy them ever since.

Other:He is rather blunt and straight to the point, and a bit feminine looking. Has problems dealing with love affairs. Ria, on the other hand, is nastily impish to all but him. She, of course, is in love with Alimbil and is not afraid to admit it.

Username: Toxias
Name: Guinevere Fortuna
Appearance: Gwen
Race: Human (mostly)
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Neutral at the moment- Arpa
Class and Rank: Class: Former Assassin Rank: Queen
Abilities: Guinevere has the ability to stop any and all magic within a thirty feet radius around her. It is a passive ability that can be turned off without effort, and on with little effort. Its range can be extended and targets can be chosen, but this requires actual energy. Guinevere can also communicate with animals, and usually persuade them to do her bidding. Guinevere’s knife work is exceptional. Guinevere is very persuasive and convincing when she wants to be.
Weapons: Two long daggers
Character Bio: Guinevere was born into nobility, not royalty. For the most part she was the 'calm child', and early in her life she was pegged as the future diplomat. However, she often got the other noble children in trouble. She herself had a knack for keeping the blame away from her though. She wasn’t particularly loved nor hated by her playmates. They were just…wary around her.

Guinevere did not discover her powers until her teenage years, during which she had run off from the castle and joined a group of specifically female assassins in a bout of rebellion. It was then that Guinevere learned she was not wholly human, but an actual descendant of the Sharvan, and by this blood she was granted her abilities.

It was in the clan of assassins that Guinevere developed a taste for power and her skill with the dagger. These assassins became Guinevere’s sisters, as Guinevere was an only child and she had always longed for siblings. However, Guinevere was the daughter of a pretty important noble, and although the assassins had shown superior skill as they evaded the palace guard, the numbers of the palace begin to show and the assassins were caught and killed while Guinevere was dragged home.

Guinevere was locked up for the longest time and her hot teenager temperament eventually cooled as she learned the arts of being a lady. However, in the shadows of the night, Guinevere would sometimes practice her knife work, which has never dulled since.

By now, Guinevere had noticed the princess. The Princess was a…fluffy sort of person, not quite fit to rule a kingdom. Guinevere could tell that the kingdom of Arpa would not be strong under the princess’s hand. So when the king died, Guinevere immediately set out and assassinated the princess without much thought. Because Guinevere’s family was the closest relatives to the royal family, Guinevere was next in line for the throne, which was exactly as she had intended. Still, no one suspected Guinevere.

At first it took Guinevere a little time to adjust to her new role, but she adapted quickly. It was under her rule that the kingdom of Arpa grew strong and mighty. It is the largest human kingdom right now. The allegiance of this kingdom to either the Valara army or the Ashnar alliance could tilt the scale drastically. Guinevere has her kingdom in a dangerous position that might reap the rewards of a risky gamble later.

Guinevere knows this. By no means is she a cruel and evil ruler, she just believes that the ends justifies the means. Over all her subjects have no idea she isn’t pure human, and they love and fear her at the same time.
Other: Guinevere has a daughter named Isabella. She’s quite the rebel, but she usually does as her mom says. Those close to Guinevere may call her Gwen, and sometimes visiting dignitaries may refer to her as Lady Gwen, lest their tongues trip over the many syllables of the queen’s full name.

Username: RikoSeryuji
Name: Dawn Skyler
Link to Appearance / Description of Appearance]: Dawn is not very tall, standing only 5'4''. Her slender build hides her impressive strength. She has bright, blue eyes and long, blonde hair that she only ties back when she considers an opponent worthy enough to warrant her full attention. She usually wears average, loose-fitting clothes that allow her a full range of movement. She refuses to wear skirts.
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Ashnar Alliance
Class and Rank: : Class: Matrial Artist Rank: Soldier
Abilities: An energy within all members of the Skyler family, called the Eternal Flame, resides within her. It manifests itself in two abilities. First, she has an innate healing ability. While she cannot recover from a fatal blow, any not fatal wounds heal much quicker than normal. For example, a compound fracture can heal in 2-3 days. Secondly, she is able to manifest her internal energy into her hands and feet to enhance her attacks. The ki-like energy takes the property of flames, but cannot harm Dawn and cannot spread or be put out by water or a lack of oxygen.
Weapons: Punches, kicks, elbows, knees, and the occasional headbutt
Character Bio: Growing up as the daughter of a powerful leader of a human village, one would expect Dawn to have an easy life, but life was no such thing for her. From birth, her father saw her as nothing but a tool to improve his own status. She also believed that her father hated her, since her mother had died in childbirth. He would not hesitate to strike her if she so much as spoke back to him, and her innate healing abilities hid all signs of her father's abuse. Nobody would believe her complaints about her father, since he seemed such a just ruler and there was never any evidence, giving Dawn a reputation as a liar. It became apparent to her that she was in a bind which she had no way out and not a friend in the world.

It was around the age of ten that Dawn found out that she was arranged to marry a man. He was a perverted man older than her father, who's two previous wives had 'mysteriously' gone missing once he was bored with them. She brought her concern up with her father, who only smacked her, telling her that she was his property and he'd give her away to whoever he pleased. Arranged marriages were not uncommon in her village, so trying to skip out on it would only lower the village's perception of her even further. But Dawn no longer cared what a group of people who cared nothing for her thought. In the middle of the night, she ran away from the village, preferring to try to survive alone in the wilderness than staying in that hell.

It was almost a week later and Dawn found herself dying of starvation when she came across a large structure in a clearing in the trees. She had no idea what this building was, but she hoped that they could offer some help. With her past experiences, though, she mostly expected to be turned away. However, as she banged weakly on the door of the massive structure, she found that the person who answered was nothing like the other people she had met in her life. Without her saying a word, the kind, old man saw that she was hungry and offered her food and shelter, not expecting anything in return. At first, Dawn was skeptical. 'Nobody ever did anything for nothing, every action must be taken in self-benefit'...that was a lesson she had learned from her father. This man's kind words and attitude had to belie his true intent, but Dawn wasn't at a point where she could refuse his kindness either.

"We are servants of the Father God. It is in this monastery that we hone our body, mind, and hearts to better serve His will. I can see that you have led a difficult life, child. If you have no place to go, you can stay here and learn our ways. If you do not wish to stay here, you may return whenever your travels make you weary. We will not force our ways upon you, nor turn you away."

Dawn couldn't believe what she was hearing. It had to be some kind of trick. They couldn't really want nothing in return for what they had done. Dawn knew better than that, so once she had rested and eaten her fill, she left for the wilderness once again. But it was not long until she found herself tired and hungry again, and started heading back to the monastery.

This had to be their trick. They fed you and gave you a place to sleep because they knew you couldn't survive out there on your own and would have to come back. But when she returned, the monk that she spoke to before not only fed her again, but showed her where to find edible plants and gave her a weapon to use to hunt. The next morning, when she left the monastery, she found that she could now travel as far as she wanted and find her own food. But it continued to puzzle her; why would they do this for her? It got so bad that she returned to the monastery.

"Why have you done so much for me!? You can't be doing this for nothing! What do you hope to gain!? What do you want from me!?"

"We want only to bring peace to your heart, child. Even without knowing your story, we can see the wounds it has sustained. And when we bring peace to you, we are each given peace in return. That is the way that our Father meant for all of his creations to live; in harmony with eachother and the world around us."

Dawn was finally starting to get it. She decided to stay at the monastery where she learned lessons about the creation of the world and the god who created it, as well as lessons in the martial arts. However, many of the wounds in Dawns heard have yet to heal, which can show in her sometimes abrasive personality.

Other: Dawn typically does whatever she can to help people, but she is also very competitive and argumentative

Abilities: Isabelle can speak to animals and ask them to do her bidding like her mother can. She also has spastic random telekinetic control. However, her most prominent powers are the powers to see auras, sense danger, and feel/see emotions. Her senses are also increased greatly, and she can stop mind readers from accessing her mind.
Weapons: A small knife and her fists
Character Bio:Isabelle was born when her mother was only twenty, inside the castle with a great mage-healer. It was a smooth delivery and Isabelle’s black eyes had soon been curious with everything in sight. Her mother, Guinevere, loved her, almost as much as she loved her husband, a Clarivian noble that would help perhaps someday tighten relations between Arpa and the Clarivians.
However, it was not to be. Isabelle was only three when her father died in a brief battle with the subjects of the Shatir. No one knew that the Shatir were rising at the time. It was one of the few “test” raids the Shatir had sent up to assess the might of the new races. Guinevere was crushed, and she loved her daughter all the more, who was beginning to feel quite smothered, even as a young child.
Later on as the old king died, Guinevere assassinated the Princess, taking her place as the new queen. Isabelle herself felt no change in her lifestyle partly because she was still young and partly because she had already been living a very royal high-class life.
Guinevere raised Isabelle alone and taught her many things, except how to fight. It wasn’t a forbidden subject, but Guinevere never got to doing it. As Isabelle grew up, the sense that she was being too contained and shut up began to irritate her and she took to wandering around a lot, especially around animals.

Now Isabelle has a lot more free rein because her mother is always occupied with something. She likes living as a royal, although she’s not a person that would take advantage of that. Unlike her mother, she dresses rather plainly. She’s a sort of rebel now, since her mother was so protective in her earlier life.

Name: Echo Shin.
Link to Appearance / Description of Appearance]: Echo Shin
Race: Clavirian.
Gender: Female.
Allegiance: Ashnar.
Class and Rank: Spy / Seeker (finds out information about the rival's tactics or plans of action).
Abilities: Incredible speed and aim.
Weapons: Carries a small silver dagger just in case.
Character Bio: Born into the highest ranks of Clavirian's, Echo was always well-known by all half human, half animals, and even feared by some. When she turned twelve, her way of thinking and approaching things became opposite of what her parents wanted. Her parents being two highly ranked Clavirians, helped keep their race under control- forced most of the time. But Echo didn't like the way that they kept their share of people "in line". So she did what most wolves would do to gain leadership of a pack. She killed them both during a winter night. From that night on, Echo thought that the Clavirians would thank her, and even worship her. But they were angered by her sudden motivations, most wanted to kill her for ending the lives of a lord and lady, but instead she was merely banished for years. Echo understood the consequences of her actions, and went along with the punishment- thankful she was not killed. At the age of 21 she returned to her homeland, and was re-accepted into the society. Though she has been accepted, it has been kept a secret from most Clavirians other than the elders. She is to be under a low profile- fitting her job as a spy perfectly.
Other: Wolf form

Username: Daliinn
Name: Faris Arpegius
Link to Appearance / Description of Appearance]: Faris Arpegius
Race:Human
Gender:Male
Allegiance: Ashnar
Class and Rank: Nobleman
Abilities:None
Weapons:Cloak and Rapier; Golem
Character Bio:Faris is the second son of an aristocratic family who have heavy politcal influence and wealth. His parents are funding much of the human front in the war. Faris's older brother is an esteemed general and soldier. His younger brother was killed in combat. Unlike his brothers, Faris is more of a coward than a chivalrous fighter like his brothers. However, he is in charge of weapons technologies for the human army, and he and his family are capitalizing greatly off of the war.

The Arpegius family has gained great notoriety for their selfishness and avante-garde attitude. Faris is certainly no exception. He is rude and arrogant to just about everything. If it were not for his uncanny intelligence and inventions, he would likely be ostracized from society, as if he needed any more help doing that. Faris is also notorious for his effeminate nature. He is often more concerned with his looks and wardrobe than the problems of the world. The amount of time he spends engineering in his workshop appears in his extremely pale complexion and flawless features.

Completely unphased by the death of his younger brother, Faris uses his family's influence to push for more pointless battle, as he sees it as an opportunity to further his research in the arms industry, which is largely influenced by Fledgren and Darin technology. His latest prototype is a mechanical golem at least two stories tall. As it is just a prototype, Daliinn is the only one who has access to it. However, he is currently working on a line of more humanoid golems to act as infantry in the front line. Faris and his family are from Petra, but Faris’s base of operations is said to be located somewhere along the mountain wall. Though he is officially sided with Ashnar, it is only because they were the highest buyer.

Username:Erethia
Name:Eoghan [Eh-O-Ahn]
Link to Appearance / Description of Appearance]: NOTHING
Race:Shatir
Gender:Male
Allegiance:Valara Army
Class and Rank: Class: Ethereal Enforcer Rank: Advisor
Abilities: Control of ghosts and spectres, though he only has three, and the ability to possess and corrupt a person; suck out someones soul.
Weapons:A needle point blade which is invisible. None know it's true measurement.
Character Bio:
It is a whispered past among only the highest in command, though it has, over time, leaked down to the lower ranks. A past of blood, of pain, and eternal suffering.

He seemed to come intgo being abruptly, as if he was born as he is now. The first record of him was his first slaughter. In a small town out of the borders of Ashnar, he signed up for an arena match. It was only an amateur swordsman, but it was the beginning of his terrible deeds.

No ne even saw the poor swordsman get hit. The match began, and he was down. Eoghan had not moved.

It happened again in the next match, and even more. The crowd was too astonished to speak as one after another, the were gone. There were no external marks of weaponry. It was unlike anything they had ever seen.

By the end of the summer, Eoghan had gone through the championships and won ever single match in mere seconds. He left the land without a word, his name forever embedded in their minds.

He travelled to Ashnar aboard a lone ship with black sails. When he reached the land, his bretheren, the Shatir, had already risen up from the depths. He then joined without a word, and is now one of the most prestigious Shatir in all of Ashnar. However, he does not want to be leader; for he knows it is the Advisor whom really makes all the decisions, except the Leader gets blamed if things go wrong. The less you are known, the better. (He floats above the ground; like I said, he looks just like a bunch of robes with a head, and his feet are not visible either. He has three prominent warrior ghosts that must do his bidding: Ashir, the Archer of the Heavens, Samura, Mage of the Moon, and Calro, the great Champion Swordsman of Ashnar.

Other:Eoghan does not speak; rather, his ghost followers are his voice.
Samura: The eldest ghost in the company, Samura was a powerful half-Clavirian half-human mage in her day. She was a champion mage, and a beautiful one at that. These talents made her slightly over-confident, which got her killed in the first place.

She uses Lunar Magic; an ancient technique that has long since been forgotten. She has long white hair and a tattoo of a crescent moon upon her forhead, which pulsates light.

Ashir: A Fledgren from centuries past, his name has gone into Fledgren lore. During the Era of the Gods; Ashir was one of the top Archers in all of Fledgren society. The Father said that if he could fire a bow with one hand behind his back and make a bulls-eye, than he would grant him a gift. Naturally, the humble but ecstatic little Archer jumped to the proposed dare.

He did it. By tying his left arm to his back and holding his bow in his right, he got a bulls-eye by using his teet to pull back the string. In exchange for his winnig, the Father granted his Star partner, Eless (which a city was named after many years later), a shining constellation to stay in, and gave Ashir the Heavens' Laurels, which sprout wings whenever the wearer wants them. Eoghan killed him exactly a decade later in an Arena match.

Ashir has the typical Fledgren pointy ears and feathery red-brown hair. He has kind grey eyes and a sprinkling of freckles. He has very little control over winds, as he never practiced in his lifetime.

Calor: The most trusted of Eoghan's ghosts, Calor is the ancient Sharvan Military Leader. He fought in the great wars which drove back the Western Giant folk and made peace along the Borders of Uru-thór and Manera.

Calor has black hair and green eyes, and is still in his battle armor. He wields both a lance and a Sword, the sword bearing the name Oblivion and the lance named Chrono. He has a vast array of magical abilities over space and time.

Username: Ren-kun 16
Name: Redorah (pronounced: Red-OR-ah)
Link to Appearance / Description of Appearance: Hood off Hood on
Race: Unknown, though many believe she is one of the ancient Dragons.
Gender:Female
Allegiance: Valara Army
Class and Rank: Class: Dark Sage (witch) Rank: General / Slave Trader
Abilities: Manifestations of shadows and darkness.
Weapons:A jagged blade like the one shown in her image.
Character Bio: Redorah was born long before men had sprouted out of their hiding to dominate the world. However, even for her very long time on Ashnar, her name has never once touched the pages of history. She is known only in whispers by those who dare take up residence on the outskirts of her residence, Witchwood.

It is said that she adores slaves, and for what purposes she uses them for, none can say. But if you ever see a shining purple light or a laugh that strikes fear into year heart like an ice dagger, beware. She's coming for you.

----

Redorah would've most likely remained neutral in the war; tucked away in her quiet bogs deep inside Witchwood, the rest of the world seemed far away and not pertaining to her way of life. Of course the Shatir interested her, but...

Her reasons of joining are not clear, even now, but she left her home in quite a hurry not three summers prior. Some say it is because they promised her ample slaves; others say it is her thirst for power.

Whatever the reason, she excelled and quickly rose to the status of General in the Valara Army. Many fear her seductive gaze, as she will likely torture you without a second thought if she finds you doing something that she beklieves is 'incorrect behavior'.

Other: She is very seductive, and for a witch, strikingly beautiful.

Abilities: Able to control the undead- whether they be mortal, or not.

Character Bio: Born into a wealthy family, Gene gave up her will and was one of the owners to the title of a sinner. Committing all seven sins; not to mention she sold her soul to the devil. Upon doing this, and becomming one of his pets, he granted her the ability of hell. To summon undead souls, whether they are from hell or heaven. Deadly and sinful, Gene is one troop not to be under-estimated.
Other: Very quick with her heavy sword.

Name: Saer

Race: Human
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Valara Army
Class and Rank: Vanguard (able to wield swords/ axes deftly)
Abilities: Enhanced senses and reflexes
Weapons: Large Greatsword (named 'Greywind') and a broadsword
Character Bio: Saer has possibly one of the strangest pasts to ever be recorded in history. One day he was not in existance, and the next, he was, just like that. His first memories on earth were of being stark naked in a bed. He was in a small cottage in the center of Witchwood; in fact, one of the most dangerous cottages in the whole wood. For this was the home of Redorah, the greatest and most powerful sorceress to ever taint the land with her dark arts. But she fed him and clothed him and told him of the world. He elarned to not like the place very much; the way she described the people, they were better dead than living. But he loved creation; the world around him caught his eye, and he spent many days marveling at it.

Finally, after about six weeks, Redorah asked him if he would like to stay and become her servant. He agreed immediately; after all, there was no one else in the world he knew. She immediately began training him in all the fighting arts, and he excelled in many. When at last he was complete with his training, she adorned him with armor that she claimed she had infused blessed magic into, so that he would become more powerful then he already was. And it was so; when he placed the armor on his torso and clasped the steel gauntlets and boots, he could feel strength coursing through him. Redorah then told him that he was already blessed with senses much keener than an ordinary humans, and that this armor gave him a swifty and stronger body.

And thus, he stayed with her, doing all that she bid, no questions asked. When they left and trveled to Salib, he followed without hesitation, quite happy to accompany her. And that's where are story begins...
Other: Though he does at times wonder where he came from, who he was, and other such questions, he doesn't really bother with them.

Username: RikoSeryuji
Name: Tessa
Link to Appearance / Description of Appearance]: Tessa
Race: Artificial Half-Dragon/Human
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Currently none
Class and Rank: Class: Soul Blade Bezerker / Rank: Wanderer
Abilities: Like the Skyler family, she has the power of the energy called the eternal flame, though the energy has been tainted and experimented with by dark magic. She retains a slight regenerative ability, though nowhere as powerful as Dawn or Nimbus. Her main ability is the power to feed off of the souls of the dead and utilize them as a kind of energy to increase her own strength and attack enemies.
Weapons: A massive blade called a Zankantou. It's weight is too much for an average human to be able to lift, but it was created from the souls Tessa had consumed and is a part of her. When she weilds it, it has no weight. The blade can also be split into two seperate swords, though Tessa prefers the power of a two-handed weapon.
Character Bio: With the appearance of the Shatir, many of the shadier elements in Ashnar began to emerge to join forces with them. One who had such hopes was a dark wizard by the name of Andronious Wvendelmier. He believed that there were none who could stand to his dark magic, but he was put in his place by the much more powerful Witch of Witchwood, Redorah. When she obtained the position of General in the Valara army, Wvendelmier swore to best her, to join the Shatir and become a much more prominent asset than she could ever be.

The Wizard knew his magic was nowhere near as powerful as what Redorah could muster, but he believed himself to be much more clever and intelligent than the Witch. If he could not best her himself, then he would need a servant that could. He needed someone under his complete control that could stand up to any obstacle that could get in his way. That was when he began his plan to create what would be his greatest asset.

Wvendelmier had come across the leader of a village in Petra once, a man named Skyler. This man had some kind of uncanny ability inside him, one that the Wizard thought would prove very useful if he could duplicate it. Skyler was to strong for him to face himself, but his daughter shared the same blood, and was a much easier target. Sneaking into the Skyler manor, he made his way to the at the time four year old girl's room. A quick spell caused her to fall into a deep sleep, never even leaving her aware of his presence. He collected what he needed, some strands of hair and some of her blood, and left as quickly as he came, leaving no trace of his intrusion.

Returning to his tower, the Wizard used all of his knowledge of the dark arts to create a human, infusing what he had collected into his creation. It took nearly a full year of constant work, but eventually, a young girl was created, one he named Tessa.

Tessa proved to have the potential to be powerful, but there were setbacks. Not only would the girl be nowhere near as powerful as he was, let alone Redorah, she, for some reason, was a kind, gentle soul who refused to harm others. Something had to be done about this, so he used his magic to slay and steal the souls of fiersome creatures of Ashnar, fusing them with Tessa's own soul. The process increased her power, but Tessa's own soul seemed to constantly win the struggle for dominance. Though she would lose all of her memories, she would retain her peaceful personality and refuse to fight.

He thought his plan a failure until he had come to the Draco mountains. There, he encountered the undead soul of a dragon that was harvesting the souls of others to increase its own power. Seeing this as an opportunity, Wvendelmier tricked some powerful heroes into dealing with the undead beast, hiding in wait to collect the beast's soul when they were able to slay it. His plan worked, and he obtained the dragon soul and brought it back to his tower and fused this new one with Tessa. The soul of a much more powerful being would not only increase his creation's power beyond what he could imagine but it would also be able to claim dominance over the soul of the annoyingly non-violent Tessa. The dragon's more agressive personality would suit her much better.

As he fused the souls, the undead soul of the dragon seemed to devour Tessa's soul, but then it changed into something different. This new soul was empty, needing to draw in from others in order to sustain itself. Wvendelmier, instead of becoming his creation's controller, became its first victim. Tessa easily destroyed him and fed on his soul, becoming slightly stronger as she did. Now Tessa, hungry for more souls, set out into Ashnar with no purpose other than to destroy and consume...
Other: Tessa is NOT mindless, she is actually very inteligent. Her age is technically 15, though she appears to be the same age as Dawn. And the good soul still exists within her, so though she is evil, she has the potential for good.

Class and Rank: Class: Necromancer Rank: General
Abilities: A powerful necromancer.
Weapons: Vitus wields only a single, soul-bound dagger. He isn't one for close combat, nor is he skilled at it.
Character Bio: The term "wraith-like" describes none truer than Vitus. He is more dead than alive. His power over all things dead comes from his lack of his soul, which is imbued upon his dagger. With his recent freedom from the Abyss, Vitus feels like he has a second chance--If he can regain his soul. This outlook has him secretly and inwardly torn and he has begun to doubt the Shatir and look more and more towards the Father....

Name: Roethke
Link to Appearance / Description of Appearance]: Roethke
Race:Shatir
Gender:Male
Allegiance: Valara Army
Class and Rank: Class: Warrior, Rank: Soldier
Abilities:Besides his expertise in basic melee combat, Roethke also specializes in some dark magics. Particularly, he is able to manipulate the earth and alter landscapes to his benefit. This technique also attributes to his strategic thinking and trap setting, making him an ideal candidate for one on one battles. Though his powers are unique, they can hardly make up for his natural agility and combative thinking.
Weapons: Two-handed mallet
Character Bio:Roethke was born long after the Shatir had been banished to the lower surface. Thus, he had only legends of how their people were persecuted to go on. Like many of his peers, he grew up practicing combat and the dark arts as the Shatir planned their invasion. However, unlike many of his peers, especially his elders, Roethke is not exactly evil natured. He is passionate about his country and his people and fights for justice and chivalry, nothing more. It is Roethke’s opinion that after the war all the living nations should be able to live in harmony with the Shatir. But for now, he will play his part as the warrior he has trained to be in order to reclaim what rightfully belongs to the Shatir.

Currently, Roethke is trying to be recognized by higher ranking officers as a strategist. However, his youth and his tender side sometimes hold him back.
Other:Roethke often wears his hood down rather than up. The rest of his attire is the same.

Ledaeha stared boredly out at the world she had claimed as hers. The balcony was high enough off of the ground that she herself was hard to see, but the fact that many knew she lived in that castle was enough for them to stay away. In her hand she clutched a bottle, a wine of sorts was inside and she had been drinking heavily. With a chuckle she dropped the bottle, watching it as it zoomed towards the ground smashing into tiny pieces. The boredom set in again until she felt a familiar hand at her hip. It was Netharitus, one of the corpses she had reanimated a long time ago. If it wasn't for the fact he was dead he may have been attractive. She listened as he whispered in her ear and a smile spread across her black painted lips. "So it has been done." With that she pulled a dagger from her wrist, sliced open her arm just enough to bleed and allowed the reanimated man to drink heavily from her. He was not a vampire, far from that. It was her blood that kept him alive, and her blood that bent him to her will. When he was finished his sunken blue eyes stared at her awaiting order. "Find Eoghan." She instructed, turning from the dead man to look out over the balcony.

With that the man that stood around seven feet tall nodded and turned from her, pulling his cloak hood up, a cowl covering his face. He wandered the halls of the castle looking for Eoghan where he normally would find him, finally he waited somewhere out of the way until the man would show up. A sigh escaped his lips and he watched the servants as they worked.

Palestra stode gracefully through the alabaster hallways that entertwined their ways through the great city of Arava. It had been a fortnight since the lastshe had rested, the foreboding tormoil, like a restless, boiling storm in her head, keeping her awake at night. Terrible things had happened in such a short time; first, there were reports of shadowy figures burning and pillaging the neighboring country, Arpa, in the night. Next the Massacre at Vyra, a felling of forty innocent tree spirits before the figures were driven off. Andrecently the surprise attack on the Fledgren city of Eless, leaving none alive, and the proclomation sent by means of magic that the Shatir had returned.

Her mind was connected with all the other Sharvans as usually, and she was flipping through their thought patterns, weaving her way across the intricate twines. She listened to segments of their ideas and relayed her own, all while striding leisurely towards the great marble doors which stood at the far end of the hall.

She finally reached them, and felt the wavelengths of all those inside. They were shouting to each other loudly; she cuold hear that through the thick doors, but their auras were screaming with hatred.

She burst through the doors, and all became silent. She walked briskly to a chair at the far end of the room, eyeing each of the occupants intently. They consisted of a short, portly mad with a brown beard and a monocle. His clothing was swelling with each of his massive breaths as he tried to calm himself, the buttons round his belly straining to keep the stomach within their confinement. His name, was Bartor, and he was one of the representatives for Arpa.

Across from Bartor was a well-built man with a dark beard. In fact, his face was nearly consumed by it, except for beady little eyes that shown out from beneath a heavy brow. What could be seen of his cheeks were still red from an angry shout, and he stared at Bartor, his eyes full of anger. His name, she remembered, was Thomas, from Petra.

Beside him was a tall, lanky fellow, whom Palestra automatically assumed was a Nymph by the color of his hair and the darkness of his skin. He was still looking between the two representatives from Petra and Arpa fearfully, as if he expected them to go at each others' throats. Which, they probably had been a moment earlier. Standing beside the nymph was a Clavirian, part wolverine by the looks of him, with his fists still on the table, his face contorted with anger.

Palestra sat down and turned to them, and they to her. In a cool, calm voice, she asked them, "Representatives of Vyra, Arpa, and Petra, what are your woes, and inputs for the coming attacks?"

Immediately the whole room was full of the clamor of voices The Clavirian banged his fist on the table, half snarling, half speaking, "We did not open the Gateway for the Shatir to be loosed upon this earth! If it were any race, it would be the humans from Arpa!"

At this, Bartor sprung up, his chair toppling back, as he screamed, his face turning purple, "You biased pig! Have you no brain? Why would we open the Gateway; the Shatir attacked us foremost! You have been blinded by the Petrans; it was they who have opened the Gateway! Your thickheaded way of thinking has made you allies with this fool-!"

"Do not call us thickheaded, human!" The Clavirian spat the last word contempously. There was a roar as everyone began arguing, Palestra trying to calm them unaffectively.

Finally, they died down enough for her to say:

"Representatives; you have been chosen because diplomatics are your speciality. Now is not the time for idle banters on who opened the Gateway and allowed the Shatir to once more prowl the Earth. You have but one objective; to conquer our advisaries. And the only way to do this is to work together. Now, I want you all to tell me your distresses and ideas for the upcoming battles. Starting with Representative Thomas, please."

"All I seek is the unision of all beings, to conquer our foes, and live in an age of peace!"

Without Emotions, without feelings,

Eoghan drifted through dull grey corridors, his many cloaks billowing about him. As the lesser demons and ghouls went about their work, they parted uneasily before his ominous form. He did not pay any attention to them; those that were in fear were easily bent to his will. They whispered fearful tales as he passed, but he payed little attention. He knew all of the soldiers by heart (if he even had one), and knew just about everything he could about each.

In the distance, he saw out of the corner of his eye, Netharitus sitting casually, or as casually as a living corpse could, against a wall. His sunken blue eyes searched for something, and Eoghan assumed it was himself. Floating over to him, he stopped before him, and stood, if you can call it standing when a being has no visible legs, staring at the corpse of a man.

After a few moments, a grey-white foggy substance flowed out from underneath the hem of his robes. It billowed forth, writhing and frothing, as if it was alive. It slowly began to solidify, making limbs and feet, until at last, their stood before them, a beautiful ethereal form of a woman. She had ghostly white hair which was tied in various different places, her faded Magi robes looking dusty. All her colors seemed to be faded, as if they were only partially real. The crescent moon on her forehead pulsated light.

Her name was Samura, the Mage of the Moon. Her ghostly eyes peered to Eoghan, and then she nodded as if she had heard something. Turning back to Netharitus, she asked him in a melodious voice, "Does your master, Lady Ledaeha, wish to confide in Lord Eoghan?"

I will say it now, I will not die for you...

The sun glinted off the clouds, shining it back onto the figure that swooped in and out. He was hiding from something, from something that had struck such fear into him that he had worried he may never fly again. But he ws now, flying for his life. White cumulus masses covered his field of vision as he swooped in and out of their moist internal structures. The misty fog clung to his face and hair as he shot out of one cloud to another.

A massive cloud moved aside, and suddenly it was in view again, the sounds along with it. A beautiful city, full of bronze spires and silver buildings, was evidently under siege. Great masses of smoke billowed from it's exterior, and one could here the thud...thud of the canons as they fired at their foes. The figure stopped abruptly in midair, his glowing blue wings flapping lightly as he stared in horror.

Screams emnated from within the city, and strange calls and growls were mingled with them, forming hideous sounds. The tallest spire exploded with such shock that it rained down upon the city below, rubble and debris cascading off it's edges and down below.

What he now gazed upon was once the proud and flourishing city of Eless. The city, which was formed of five large floating pieces of ground connected by strong cables, was now in complete disarray. One set of cables split off as another explosion rocked the city.

He had to get out of here, now. There was no use in trying to save anyone; they were outnumbered ten to five. It would be suicide. A figure appeared beside him; a tiny, bright blue girl. Her wide, fearful eyes stared into his as she exclaimed, "Alimbil, we have to leave! Now!"

Alimbil nodded, still horrorstruck. The little fairy-like creature beside him shook his shoulder, which hardly did anything (she was so dainty). She stopped and rolled her eyes, plopping down on his shoulder and crossing her arms. Boy, sometimes he was just so dim! He could be noticed by those monsters at any moment.

Then she saw them. Black shapes against the white clouds, soaring upward in unision, black smoke-like trails billowing out behind them. Frantically, the fairy creature screamed, "Alimbil, fly!"

Alimbil snapped out of his dazed state just in time. He turned to his star Ria, and nodded. Angling his body so he was in a dive motion, he spread his wings and shot to the right, curving behind a cloud. A blast of dark energy shot into the empty space he once occupied. He could hear their catcalls as they soared after him. Shadow Demons, they were, and of the same that destroyed his city.

He curved round a cloud, putting in between himself and his pursuers. He could hear them as the followed his path. Closing his eyes, he felt a slight tingling sensation as a silver bow appeared in his hands. He held his other hand aloft, turning to the his star and saying: "Ria, now."

She nodded, and the strange swirling antannae that cascaded from her head began to billow out. A sudden burst of bright blue light shot up in Alimbils' outstretched hand. It elognated until it was roughly the look alike of an arrow, but with a blue firework-like tip. he brought the 'arrow' into the string of his bow, and notched it back.

As soon as the Shadow Demons whipped around the cloud, Alimbil let loose the arrow. As it was released, it broke into three tiny shining coments, which arched outward and sped toward the oncoming foes. They all then focused towards each other, colliding into the same demon at the same time.

There was a shockwave of shining blue light as the 'arrows' parts reacted to one anothers' touch. There were several screams as three of the demons fell, their carcasses smoking. Such was basic Stellar magic; the use of stellar powers in a bow released the Stars' magic.

Turning, he sped away, as the other cursing demons shot after him, cursing and screaming, sending dark bolts all around him.

"Wish?" Netharitus asked with a raised brow. "My Lady wishes nothing. She demands it." He looked to Eoghan himself, eyes nearly glowing under the hood. "The portals have opened. It is my understanding that she wished to travel above, but heed my words." He said lowering his voice once a few servants had started to look. "The master is drinking, and her judgement may be a little obscured." He straightened himself to his full height, closing his eyes for a moment then looking back at him. "If you'll excuse me, there are a few books I need to find." With that he turned on his heel and wandered down the hall, long blue cloak trailing behind him.

The man was an odd sort, dead, but still retaining many of his memories and surprisingly enough a personality. He, like the rest of Ledaeha's creations was fortunate in that manner. He had his own quarters like the rest and that was where he spent the majority of his time, unless summoned by the lady. his room was as drab as the rest of the castle and the book he found was not easily missed in the cleanliness of his quarters. He sat down, thumbing through pages mindful of what may transpire that eternal evening.

The lady had turned from the balcony and sat down with a plop. She was informal when not in front of her people, and those few moments were nearly sacred to her. She cracked open another bottle and drank deeply, why not drink? This was a cause for celebration! The world above would finally be felt again, dirt that was welcoming would be under her feet, and anyone that would dare ruin her hapiness would be killed, or worse. Carelessly she tossed the bottle behind her, hearing the satisfying crunch as it smashed against the grounds below. Chaos was music to her ears, the chorus was the screams of pain fromt hose being tortured and the end of the whole symphony may have well been on the way. She stood on stable legs, black hair tickling the small of her back as it blew about in the gentle wind. Her eyes usually grey gleemed a bright purple in the night, and that haunting smile pulled at her lips again. "They will fall." She mused to herself.
