Kaine, all in one motion, got up, swooping Saya up in his arms, and ran, pushing her yet being careful not to hurt her back into his window, shutting it behind her. Turning back to the little girl, he said, "Get out of here. I know that you've come back."
The little girl laughed again, and replied, "But why would I do that? I know you have my sister here. And I want her back. I was thinking of staying until you came to me, actually... But now I know I'm glad I came. You have a witch here, too."
Kaine interrupted, "Leave. You can't have her or Tale!! I'm not going to let you take either of them, kid." His voice was rough and rage could be easily detected in his tone.
The little girl, again with that smirk of hers, responded, "Kid? You know my name isn't that. Call me Alice. But I'm not planning on taking that witch you've become so fond of, Kaine."
Eaten by suspicion, Kaine asked automatically, "Then what do you want with her?"
Accompanied by a giggle, she showed a crooked, sinister grin, and told him, "They're just oh so delicious, those magical folk."
