Leon pulled her down next to him, he was weak, he slowly passed out next to her into a deep sleep.
Tale almost let out a little yelp of surprise when Leon pulled her down. Soon though, Tale hugged Leon tight, and felt his brething become shallow as he fell asleep. She looked about from her vantage point, a little afraid to shut her eyes, as if the blindness she'd lived with would return.

Kaine held Saya, a tad worried. She'd been screaming in her sleep. He asked, concerned, "Saya... Are you alright?"

In his sleep he felt Tale holding him, she was on his mind all the time.
She looked up at him. "No... not this time," she replied, trembling. "I-I heard a voice call my name and then... everything went black. I don't know what's wrong with me, but what I do know is that there is something or someone after me. I'm scared." Saya held onto Kaine tight, her eyes closed, shutting the world out, only to leave Kaine's voice, breath, and touch in her mind, along with the thoughts repeating in her head.

[[OMG! I forgot all about her cat, Rein... er... I mean her partner Brian!! I need to bring him back in the story! Okay... I'll try..]]

Brian awoke in Saya's room. He had been asleep for 2 weeks; the longest slumber he has ever been in. He scratched his messy, black hair and stood up, his eyes shifting toward the window. "I wonder if they came back..." he wondered as he peered out the window. Previously, he heard Saya screaming, which woke him up. "Well, guess I gotta go find out," Brian grinned and jumped out the window. As soon as his feet met the floor, he went from human to cat. That was one of his most common formations to turn into, other than human. He then went off to search for Saya and Leon.
Tale gently nuzzled Leon, feeling her cares as they slipped away.

Kaine felt his heartbeat grow faster, and he reached down to hold Saya tight. When she mentioned someone after her, his first thought was to protect her, his second scared him. He remembered how strangely calm that little girl had been when he and Tale had left. Her fit had stopped so suddenly.
Saya could feel Kaine embrace her gently. His heart was pounding so softly but so loud. It made her worry and ask, "Kaine, are you okay?" It was then something rustled in a tree. Saya's eyes opened and saw there was a person there. That person jumped out toward them, for that was probably the one after Saya.

Brian ran around the corner when he heard their voices; Saya's was especially loud. He came just to catch that one person. With out speaking, Brian transformed into his human form and jumped out to stop it in it's tracks. They landed on the other side of Saya and Kaine, both frightened and relieved.

Saya felt breathless, but she screamed, "BRIAN!! No... please don't hurt Brian... I'll do anything." Saya kept pleading, and finally, she told Kaine, "Kaine, please let me go. If it's me the person wants, then I it shall have. I don't want you guys to get hurt.. not ever."
Kaine looked at Saya intently for what felt like a long while. In actuality it was only a few seconds. He looked to Brian, and could tell something from the way he stood so protectively. It was true to him that they shared a common interest. Kaine turned back his gaze to Saya, and said, "Listen, you don't have to go. I don't think that will really solve anything." He helped Saya to her feet and got up himself. Finally, after a moment of staring, Kaine recognized something about the person who seemed ready to attack him and Saya. 'That grin...' he thought, 'It's her... I know it.' In the shadowy aura that surrounded the intruder, a little girl's giggle could be heard.

Leon awoke hours later, his blindess still there. He could feel Tale next to him and smiled, she wasnt going t leave him again.
Tale's eyes fluttered open, and she found that she'd dozed off into a light nap. She looked at Leon, who's eyes indicated that he was awake, and still... Blind. Tale said softly, "Well good morning sleepy. Feeling any better?"
Saya looked to Kaine, and then the girl. "No..." Saya yelped. "It's... the girl isn't it?" she asked him. "I thought she went home!"
Kaine, all in one motion, got up, swooping Saya up in his arms, and ran, pushing her yet being careful not to hurt her back into his window, shutting it behind her. Turning back to the little girl, he said, "Get out of here. I know that you've come back."

The little girl laughed again, and replied, "But why would I do that? I know you have my sister here. And I want her back. I was thinking of staying until you came to me, actually... But now I know I'm glad I came. You have a witch here, too."

Kaine interrupted, "Leave. You can't have her or Tale!! I'm not going to let you take either of them, kid." His voice was rough and rage could be easily detected in his tone.

The little girl, again with that smirk of hers, responded, "Kid? You know my name isn't that. Call me Alice. But I'm not planning on taking that witch you've become so fond of, Kaine."

Eaten by suspicion, Kaine asked automatically, "Then what do you want with her?"

Accompanied by a giggle, she showed a crooked, sinister grin, and told him, "They're just oh so delicious, those magical folk."
Saya was surprised by Kaine's sudden movement. She then noticed he was being protective. Oh, Kaine. I never knew you loved me this much. But when he rushed her into the building and shut the window, Saya panicked. "No!" Saya yelled, banging on the window. "Kaine! You'll get hurt! KAINE!"She looked to Kaine and the little girl, which had that little gleam in her eye that scared her. "Please be okay," she whispered and put her hand to the glass, using that one spell to let Kaine hear her. It was a devistating sight to Saya, one she hasn't seen in a long while. Her wand lit up brightly; the use of magic making Saya weak.

Brian held his arm. "Ah," he yelped in pain, closing his right eye. But as he moved closer to Alice, he noticed something as she said Tale was her "sister." His eyes became wide and he grabbed Alice's should to turn her around. "Alice?" he asked. "Is that really you?" Brian somehow remembered this name from back home. He remembered a young she-shapeshifter he had taken care of. Was this possibly her?
Kaine twitched, hearing Saya. He nodded in acknowledgement, and nearly yelled to stop Brian when he went so close to Alice. He was stopped though, when she responded to him,

"Ah, Mister Brian. It's been too long, really." Though she spoke sweetly, there was an undertone in Alice's voice that reached the ears in a sinister fashion, as if stinging on each syllable.
Saya smiled and collasped. "I'm glad," she replied. "Be careful."

Brian frowned. "It has," he replied. "But tell me why you're here and why you are attacking these people. I need an answer, now." He hugged Alice and pushed her back, holding onto both of her shoulders. "Why now?"
Alice said, "They agreed to stay with me, and learn what I had to teach. I warned them, but they still left. People like that need to be punished~" Her voice was oddly bright for something like this.
