Jake said "i am Jake" then leaped to the ground in the shadows so that she could not see him then he said "i do not want to harm you" he stayed at the same position he was in then he said "nice to meet you Artemis" looking up at her

. . .So his name was Jake. I turned my head back around still looking for him when he stepped from the shadows below. "I dont want to hurt you" "nice to meet you artemis" he said. "I dont want to hurt you either" I trembled. "im not looking for a fight, just somewhere to hide" When I picked up on yelling close by. My stepfather. My bright yellow eyes flew up in fright knowing that discovery was eminent....

Jake continued looking up at her and said "i have a place you can stay if you are hiding" then after he said that he heard a yelling from a distance then he leaped up onto the tree next to her "can you fly?" i sence trouble comming he thought then he looked at her to see how she looked

She had to think about THAT for a moment. who knew what kind of crap the experiments had screwed around with. But alas no, the only thing i didnt get being mixed with bird genes was wings. "no I cant" I said. I slowly over looked him. there was the slightest bump under the back of his jacket. "can you?" I asked stunned. but there wasn't time for him to answer when the rustle of shrubbery came close by. . . .

Jake took his jacket off then he tossed it just under the tree brench ontop of him then it disappeared his wings spead out through the trees then he stood up on the tree "do you know who is coming?" then leaped holding onto her making sure that she would not hit anything but leaves so that they could hide in the thick bushes of the tree where no one could see him and her, then let her go on a branch so that she could sit on it.

I ducked feeling the feathers of his wings brush the top of my head and gasped at the suddeness of being grabbed and thrown so much higher in the tree. "yes, i do know him. its my. . .stepfather" I sighed knowing that I probably should have lied about that. "Im NOT going back though" I almost snarled. I peered down using my nightvision to see my own personal hell in a white lab coat almost 40 ft below me. "you said you had a place to hide?" I asked.

Jake said "yes, i am going to see what he is here for" befor she said anything he leaped to the tree behind them making sure that he is not seen by the man in the lab coat then he leaped down from that tree in to the shadows "who are you? and what are you doing here?" he asked hidding his wings behind him he moved forwerd so all he could see is his eyes

"n-no!" Were the words i formed in my mouth after it was too late. With dread I watched Jake conceal himself below. He asked my stepfather who he was and what he was here for. My mind was going through all the diffrent ways this could end badly. "just turn around and keep going" I muttered to myself. but I couldnt do it. I saw Jakes wings and no doubt it was the exact kind of thing that would end up with him in one of my stepfathers cages. Chained up like I was. So all I could do was watch.
"Artemis?!" he yelled. flipping around to face the direction Jakes voice came from but stoped when he realized it wasn't MY yellow eyes. He cleared his throat and said "My name is Darius Shade. Have you by any chance seen anything...out of the ordinary around these woods?" He said with a certain smugness. And I clenched my teeth.

Hmmm...im bored...i thought lazily. Water was dripping down my back and i was wringing out my hair, as I'd just gotten out the shower. Maybe I should pay my little friends a visit. Jake and...what was his name? Oh, yeah. Roxas. Roxas Dain. Its funny, Jake never mentioned his last name...Oh well, neither did i. I quickly got dressed in some new clothes I had bought yesterday. It was a simple tube top and jean shorts and some ballet flats. I didnt have any stuff to pack so i left the money for the hotel and food on the table next to the door and soundlessly exited the hotel. I walked quickly and stealthily and thought about just what exactly i was going to say.

Jake said "yes, everything" he then looked into his eyes and said "i think its best you leave" with a fearce look in his eyes "or you might maybe....DIE" then jake fell back into the shadow and appeared behind him, but still in the shadows

Roxas Dain

Roxas has been up all night makeing his rooms the way he needed them to be. their were circles everywere on the walls and ceiling of his bed room, each one diffrent than the next. each circle had some words under it that discribed what it did and the materials (if any) was needed. so far Roxas had manage to carefuly copy down 23 of them, "eight more left, then im done copying down my notes" Roxas said to him self and grabed another piece of chalk to finish up.

I wanted to crack up at Darius expression. He warily stepped back at retreated into the bushes from where he entered. I was thankful. But when I turned around to leave and because I didnt want to cause Jake (because really I didnt know him) anymore trouble. I leaped from tree to tree to leave.

I stopped. I could hear an exchanging of words...didnt seem exactly friendly, and surprisingly it was Jake. Being all heroic-y. I rolled my eyes I had probably had enough heroisism for the rest of my life. But with super speed I materialized next to Jake looking at the odd guy. He was human...hmmmmm...he didnt seem particularly yummy so i decided to help Jake. "Yeah, you probably should leave." I sent out a mental vibe to Jake. Its ok, im here to help this time.

Roxas Dain

Roxas was finaly finished his last alchemy circle notes, but he could not rest now. Roxas droped his now paper thin chalk and got another new one and began to draw on the wall that seperated his two rooms. Carefully he made sure every thing was perfect, Roxas steped back and amired his 6 ft diameter circle he has drew on the wall. Roxas moved the hair out of his eyes and said quietly to him self "i hope Jake doesnt mind the mess".

I stood there, watching the odd man retreat. Then i looked where the girl had been a second ago, but there was nothing ther. Somewhere in the back of her mind she knew she wasnt far away but she wasnt worried. She knew she would come back. And if she didnt i would go out looking for her.
