It was early, and the maid with her bed hair stuffed away into her white cap yawned. Her first day on the job, just hired the day before. The other maid that she was taking place of (due to her husband becoming very ill) was here just yesterday with the new girl to tell her all the chores she needed to do. The first order of business was the "wake-up call." Every day, 6 in the morning to be exact, it was her duty to wake up the royals and their servants. So many things to do in this castle! Watch the teenage daughters of the royals, give breakfast lunch and dinner to them, clean the bedrooms, mop the kitchen, dust the library, and so much that it would possibly last her the whole day! She recalled the old maid's face when she saw her very own wide eyed faced, and the old woman couldn't help but muffle a chuckle. "No worry dear," she told her with a pat. "I promise it will be an easier job then you can imagine. Trust me."

But the words certainly didn't help the new woman! She scuffled down the halls, trying to remember everything she was told to do. It certainly didn't seem like an easy job. She rapped on of the doors; the eldest daughters room.

"Miss Maria, it's time to -" before she could so much as open the door, the young twenty year old stepped out, fully dressed and face brightly washed. Her hair was up in a bun, and she looked like she was ready to go. "Good morning Josephine -" she stopped talking as soon as she laid eyes on the maid - a new maid to be precise, eyes going up and down her. The maid felt quite nervous, as if she was applying for this job all over again. "Oh, you're not her." The maid shook her head. "Ah - due to her husband she had to quit her job. I'm the new maid, Kassandra." The girl suddenly dropped her stare and the maid took a sigh of relief.

"Well that's a blasted shame about Josephine, but good morning to you anyways! I hope you enjoy your stay here," Maria nodded her head at her and smiled brightly. The maid couldn't believe how lively she seemed to be so early in the morning. Why was she up so early anyways? Weren't royals supposed to be lazy, dependent on servant type people? No matter, she had to continue on with her routine.

"Yes - thank you, but now I must go and wake everyone else - "

"Oh there's no need," the princess said, a little laugh on the edge of her tone. "They're already up. I woke them all. But I must be going to dust the library. It's been a pleasure meeting you, uh, Kassandra, relax and stay awhile!" With that Maria left the maid, who was baffled at the scene. Wasn't she the one who was supposed to be doing the chores?

The light seeped through the curtains as her small frame sat up slowly upon her bed. Blasted, Maria had again come to wake her up from the beautiful dream she was having, yet again. Sighing gently, Seiko stood to her feet. The floor was freezing this morning and it sent a freezing chill down the girls spine. "yikes.. Josephine !!" Her voice gently floated through the air as she called the maid. "Oh Joseph--" As a strange lady had entered her room, Seiko merely stared at her. Examining her every crease. "O-oh.. you're not Josephine.." The maid nodded and gave Seiko a gentle smile. "I'm here in replacement for Josephine. My name is Kassandra.. She had to leave due to family issues.." She stopped speaking, and the short princess shifted her weight to her left side. "Alright..that's unusual.." "What can I help you with Miss Seiko..?" The maid asked as she placed her hands together. "My slippers..get them. this damned floor is freezing !" Walking right past the new maid, Seiko grumbled under her breath as she reached the hallways.

To her greatest luck, Maria was walking towards meal hall. Getting a slight grin on her rosey lips. Seiko shouted. "Eh, Maria !! Wait up.." she began to slowly jog down the hallway towards her eldest sister. "Going to meal hall this morning..?" She spoke as she finally had caught up to her. "How was you dreams lastnight ?" Seiko was always excited to find out about her sisters dreams. She heard some interesting ones. As the two girls approached meal hall. There were guards sitting at the tables, and the head of the house was upon his chair. Stopping dead in her tracks, Seiko's vibrant green eyes suddenyl faded to a pale colour. "W-what's going on.." The princess asked to herself. All of the guards raised to their feet and kneeled before the two girls. Worried, Seiko's eyes shot straight up at Maria. "What is going on here.." She whispered hoping that her sister knew any kind of information about this gathering.

"Welcome Ladies !" The house elder spoke. "I've gathered you here to engage in the wishes that Elder Magnus has requested." Requested..? Seiko knew that this couldn't be good. These guards that filled the meal hall were not normal at all. They didn't look like the guards from their usual towers. Gripping onto her sisters robe, Seiko growled to herself. "This isn't right sis.."

[ gah, sorry for the rushed post. D: i must head to bed. i've got to be awake early tomorrow ! I'll post tomorrow after thoough ~ goodnight everyone. ]

Now, in order to get Maria, you'd have to understand her routines thoroughly. She had a distinct, set day to day plan. One disruption in this schedule, and Maria would be lost, confused, and most of all angry. It always began with the morning, waking up everyone. Then after greeting everyone with a cheery good morning, she'd strode down the halls where she'd clean up the library from her late studies the night before. But to get to the library you had to go past the meal hall and kitchen. So she'd stop by there, say hello to the chefs, taste test the food they were preparing for her family (she wouldn't dare let them send anything but perfection to her perfect family), and then head to the library. Then -

"Maria." Hm? Did someone call my name? Checking behind her, she grinned at the sight of one of her sisters. "Seiko, good morning again!" She hugged her, a tight warm squeeze. They began walking towards the hall. "Well, if I recall, I was swimming around in an artery," she began, always having the strangest dreams. "I think I was a red blood cell, and then I came across this white blood cell who just loved me to death and clung onto me the whole time. It either thought I was a disease or it was in love with me -"

Her eyes narrowed at the view of the guards - new - guards. Instinctively, or out of habit, Maria gripped Seiko's elbow and placed her behind herself. "I have just about as much knowledge about this as you do." Maria, again, if you new her well, didn't like new things. And what made new things worse was when she didn't know they were coming. No hint, no notice. Just there. These guards were just there. Did her mother or father send them? No, they'd tell her, they knew her well enough to know that they had to tell her.

"Wishes of Elder Magnus? Elaborate," she ordered, remaining calm despite herself getting hot. The guard raised his brow, looking at Seiko and Maria.

"Isn't there a third daughter?" he asked.

"Yes, does the message concern all three of us?" The guard gave her a firm 'yes' in response. It concerns us and I had no idea about it. What's going on? Maria crinkled her nose. Now she was getting mad.

Kaiko was having the most wonderful dream this fine morning.

Her Prince Charming was in an intense battle with an ogre! You see, the ogre had tried to eat her. Her prince just wouldn't have that! After decapitating the grey humanoid with his silver blade he swept Kaiko off her feet and strode into the sunset upon his white steed. All was perfect, until a witch swooped from the sky and grabbed onto her!

It was then that Kaiko came back to reality. There was no witch; only the desperate maid who was literally trying to pull Kaiko off her bed. Kaiko cried out, clinging to the side of her matress in protest, "My Prince! No, you mean old witch! You've taken me from my Prince!" The maid, confused as always, finally got the young princess from her bed, "My Lady, It was just a dream." Kaiko glanced towards her elegant red fabricated bed and saw that her dolls and throw pillows were in disarray. She let out a sigh, "So much for that happy ending.."

The maid nodded hesitantly, "Princess.. Forgive me for rushing you this morning, but we have-" "What ever it is, Margrat, It can wait until after I've had breakfast," Kaiko said, marching out of her bedroom while still in her ruby night gown. Margrat took after her in a hurry, "Princess, you really should get dre--" Again, she was cut off by the youngest Gorngus Princess. Only this time, the young female screamed. There, in the hall, stood unfamilar guards.

Mornings such as these were the reason she felt she could live everyday. It was a little chilly, like most mornings. But the suns warmth tumbled brightly through the tall glass and hit all the books near her favourite section. Althena was glad for this fact, and welcomed the subtle burn of the sun on her skin as she ran her slight fingers over the spines of each book. A little dissapointed that she couldn't find one she hadn't read yet, she made a mental note to herself to go to the local bookstore. And she would remember. She always did. Her memory was what could keep her on top of things in the house. Although they had maids and other hands to help with the general work, Athena always liked to keep an eye on things. Thankfully they knew this and tended to give her an update every so often to let her know. Some times she would wander in on their work herself to check and this common action tended to keep them on their toes all the time, never knowing when she would appear. Though, to some degree, this was the whole point of her wonderings.

Sighing, she failed to find a new novel which could peak her interest and instead began to look for an old favourite which should do for this time. Her fingers crawled over the ancient and pristine spines till she could find it. "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. It was a book she could never get bored with and was glad it was there for these moments. But before she could even catch it in sight, the unfamiliar rattle of many feet struck her ears. Looking out the library doorway, she bent to try and see what was going on. Her feet tapped to the same rhythmic pattern as the other scatter and just as she left the door, Albert, one of the many butlers come in sight and quickly bowed as he spotted her. "Princess, we have guests in the hall." his voice monotone as usual.

Her eyes narrowed, not angrily but suspiciously. She had not heard of any visitors that were to be coming any time soon, and this worried Athena. Because she heard everything that went on in this house. She would feel uncomfortable if she didn't, so right now she wasn't feeling the most comfortable. "Thank you, Albert." Her feet moving quickly up the stairs and her hand on the rail, she was moving towards the hall which lead to the main dining and lounge. A youthful scream, caused Athena to remember who else shared a room close to that vicinity. Kaiko.

If possible, her feet were moving even more quickly over the wood floors and towards the girls room. Upon seeing a crowd of what seemed to be guards, she ignored them as she saw her younger sibling and passed them quickly. Kaiko was obviously not ready for the day and was now standing in front of these strangers in only her sleeping attire. Moving over to Kaiko, she grabbed her arm and pulled her in the room with her before shutting the door behind her. An anxious look was obvious on Margarets face as she spotted the oldest sister now. "Well, it seems we have guests." she said, rummaging through her sisters closet. "I don't know who they are, but what you're wearing now will not do, will it?" Her tone was softly sarcastic, but she was quite serious. Finding a suitable dress, she pulled it out and threw it on the bed in front of her. "Put that on please Kai-chan, and Margaret," Athena continued and turned to the maid. "Please attend to my sisters hair." she didn't want to the scare the maid, since she seemed to already be quite intimidated by her, so spoke softly and as kindly as possible.

Kaiko was surprised at the sight of all these guards. Why didn't anyone ever tell her these kinds of things? Of course, perhaps that's what Margrat had been attempting. None the less, Kaiko was glad to see the arrival of her oldest sister, Athena.

Athena had taken no moment before pulling the small red head into her near by bed room. In the next few moments Kaiko had a dress in her arms and Margrat coming at her with a hair brush. She disliked other people touching her hair, but she had no time to protest with her sister still there. She slipped out of the thin ruby fabric as Margrat was tugging her locks with the thick teeth of the brush. Her hair was an absolute mess.

The dress Athena had selected was a deep saphire with white accents upon the tight bodice. Kaiko had to hold her breath while Margrat helped her tighten the fabric in the back. She had begun to straighten the ruffled collar as her voice chimed towards her sister, "Why are there foreign guards in our halls, Thena?" Margrat was placing a deep ocean shaded bow on the back of Kaiko's head, holding together a loose ponytail along the rest of her falling hair.

Maria was always the one to protect Seiko the most. It was the only thing that she really knew would help her through troubling times. As her older sister gently pushed Seiko behind her. She merely watched as they had a small conversation, so this meeting had something to do with all three of the girls. But the other sister wasn't here. "Nn, she's not here yet.. so why are we starting this right now..?" The small princess snapped at the guard that Maria had talked to. The guard merely looked at the youngest Princess then shrugged his shoulders slightly. "I'm sorry Princess Seiko, but this news needs to be distributed asap.." His voice was horse, and deep this made her actually kind of nervous to even speak to him again. Seiko's facial expression turned to some kind of sorrow. She was not excited to hear about this news. Good or bad. She knew that if there were other kingdoms guards around. It was not gonna be good news. Not even the slightest kind of good news.

Scratching her head, Seiko stared at her older sister. "Maria.. what are we going to do.." Her voice was cracky and full of fear. This was pretty much the only this that could possibly scare her. Was to have bad news, that she didn't even know about just randomly pop up and begin to unfold right before her eyes. She was sheltered after all, and never really got the chance to even adapt to most things. I mean, Maria has tried her hardest to raise her sister after her parents deeds. But something Seiko could not get used to just yet.

But anyways, back to the main point. The guards were here, and it looked as if they were here from Leandor, AND Megnisuis. This was rather unusual. Both kingdoms here in Hemelia. Something was awfully wrong. And Seiko was ready to find out asap.

Stepping out from behind her eldest sister. Seiko growled deeply in her throat. "Alright, I'm rather impatient.. and our sister doesn't seem to be going any faster.. So tell me Elder. What is going on, what's the news that you're brought to us from the other Kingdoms.." Being blunt was one thing, but for her to gain this much courage to even speak to the elder was rather stunning. Seiko had never spoken to the elder in all her years of breathing this earths air. It was wierd.

Letting out a small chuckle, the Elder smiled at Seiko. "It's great to hear you speaking to me for the first time Princess Seiko. But I've brought them here to ingage in the arrangements that Elder Magnus has brought amoung us. You three, the children of Hemelia's King and Queen. With all due respect, will be placed into and arranged marriage."

It had felt as if Seiko's heart was just lodged itself into her throat. "A-arranged... marriage... !" Trying to grasp this with light fingers wasn't such an easy thing to do. Seiko was merely Eighteen years old, and Elder Magnus had arranged her to get married...!? The small Princess got light headed, and suddenly fainted. From the corner, Kassandra rushed to Seiko's aid. Placing a cold cloth upon her forhead. She looked over at Maria's expression.

[ Ahh, that's better. n_n Not to mention the fact, i've got my girls profile done !! <3 ]

Arranged Marriage? There - had - to be something in her ear. "Pardon me, sir?" she coughed out, but before she had a chance to get a repeat of what the guard said, she saw Seiko collapse on the ground. That made Maria herself want to collapse. "Seiko!" She quickly kneeled down next to her as Kassandra rushed towards them. It didn't appear a though Seiko had any particular reason for fainting, no sudden spring of illness, no overheating or dehydration, and Maria could only suppose it was from pure shock. "Kassandra, take Seiko to a place she can lay down, keep the cloth on her forehead, and make sure to bring her lots of fluids to drink. " It was an order, and it must have been a harsh tone, for Kassandra almost jumped straight up.

Seiko was looking at her, and Maria tried to put on a smile. It was probably fake, but in this predicament of confusion, it was the best she could muster up. "It'll be just fine Seiko, I'll catch up with you later and tell you everything, alright?" With a pat on her younger sister's head she stood up to face the guard. It must have been a strange sight to see; a princess fainting, another princess bossing everyone around, and a maid who looked like she was flustered beyond belief. She coughed. "Sir, arranged marriage you said?"

"Yes," he answered as he read the scroll, "you, Princess Maria, will be wed to the oldest of the Magnisius Princes, Princess Seiko to wed the youngest of the Leandor Princes, and the other Princess to wed the middle Leandor Prince."

So in detail, the plan already so set that they know exactly who we are to be wed to? Maria, if she wasn't the oldest and had to set the example, would right about now have a hissy fit. She hadn't had one of those since she was three when her mother wouldn't get her the pink dress she wanted. Now, she wasn't mad at this whole arranged marriage thing, for it was something a princess should expect when she's grown. But if this plans of marriage were so precise, they had to have known for awhile, so why did no one tell her these things? And why all of her siblings at the same time?

"Ah, I see," the only thing her voice found to say. The guard handed her another scroll. "Princess, if you could hand one of your servants this, it is a more detailed message about the proposal to be given to the King and Queen -"

"There is no need sir," Maria said as she gripped the paper tightly in her fist. "The other two princesses and myself will make sure this is directly handed to them by ourselves. Good day to you, the guards from this hall will escort you out." She curtsied, a flimsy one at that, and walked off; so many things on her mind.

“Young master are you well?” No response. “Everything to your liking?” No response. “Young master come now you have to tell me what the matter is otherwise your father will hang me by a coat tail.” No response. Turning around the older guard glanced down to see the prince had vanished out of his sight. Frantically the guard shifted his eyes from left to right with the brunette no longer in sight. This was a major problem. The young prince missing in another kingdom, oh how the King would kill him. “Oh dear god why”

Having slipped away unnoticed Ari curiously observed the new place. Unlike his home everything appeared different with a strange feel to it. Almost as if no one was ready for what was to occur today. On this very day, the King of Magnisius declared his sons would wed, oddly enough around the same time from what the brunette gathered, so would the other princes and princess of the neighboring kingdoms. This struck him as odd however he did not question it. Loyal held bonds and as a virtue to him, Ari obeyed. Somewhat. If he had truly obeyed he would have been surrounded by various guards from his kingdom and walking around like some sort of showboat.

No this wasn’t the case. Halfway through the walk into the Gorngus castle he decided that he would separate himself from Lance his guard, not that he’d get into much trouble right? The answer was in fact a yes but that’s what made him do it. The young prince never got into much trouble, for once he wanted to try something different. Though this little plan of his failed when Lance came around the corner breathing heavily. “Young master I found you at last.”

Oh why did his father decide it would be best to send them over to the Gorgnus castle to give the princesses themselves the news? Why couldn’t one of their various guards or messengers do it? To top it all off, Demitri wasn’t even here, oh woe was him. No he’d live but he would have felt better with his brother around.

And here it comes, a scolding of a life time. Well I got far right?

Interrupting his thoughts was the voice of the head honcho himself, Julius. Glancing down at Adrian the elder sighed. “This is why you are to stay in our sights at all times Prince Adrian. We will have introduced you to the princess so don’t think about leaving.” Ignoring majority of the words flooding from this big windbag Ari closed his eyes and thought about what his mother was doing, and why did she agree to let this happen.

I’m not marrying material. Honestly I’m fit for no one really.

Kaiko soon became annoyed with Margrat and took the brush from her. She just wouldn't stop brushing through it even though it was clearly tame. Her brush found its place on her cream colored vanity soon after it was taked from the shaking maid's hand. Kaiko looked at herself in the mirror and pursed her lips. For once, she looked like the princess she was. She didn't much like wearing these clothes. For one, the bodice strangled the breath from her lungs. Secondly, it was much too hard to run about in such a long dress.

Kaiko was told to sit down by Margrat, and she did as she was told. Margrat came to her with a pair of saphire Mary-Janes with silver buckles and began to work them onto her hosed feet. As she did this, Kaiko began to fluff her red hair with her fingers. Being all primped and such just wasn't her. She liked to give off a personality, and this tame style just wasnt it. She huffed slightly, grabbing the newest Batman comic from her vanity and shifted through it as the last buckle was clasped. She could have put the shoes on herself, but she didn't want to shrug Margrat off yet again this morning.

Placing the comic back on her vanity she tip tupped her way to her door, opening it just enough to take a peek at the guards again. They seemed to be rather busy for some reason or another. Kaiko examined the crest and colors on the nearest guard with her violet optics. She then proceeded to close the door, "Thena, those are Magnisius Guards. Have I forgotten about a meeting? I haven't even fed Gabriel yet!" Gabriel was her American Cream Draft horse. He was a beautiful white steed resembling the typical Prince Charming's White Horse.

The Righteous Hammer of Justice
Eternally Bound with My Burning Soul
Come, Embrace the Fist!

”Arranged marriage?!”

“Yes, is what has been decided for you my Liege.”

”I can’t do marriage, that means being married to a woman!”

“Well I most certainly hope his Highness does not wish to be married to a man.”

”….Come over here, I want to punch you.”

“I must politely refuse that request.”

Jerk.

And that was how the conversation last morning went when one Vyse Aerternus Reginold Leandor had woke up and had his current situation explained to him. Yes, he did try to escape from the castle, a rather daring attempt which was cut short by his own men who captured their Prince, made sure he was cleaned and made presentable before being tied up and thrown into a caravan which would escort him to the residence of his future wife. Yes, he did go kicking and screaming, yes that was a rather shameful way to go for the eldest Prince of the Leandor Kingdom. Yeah, he didn’t have any shame either. Two guards sat on either side of him, while two more in the seat opposite of his, each one carefully watching his moves to make sure he couldn’t manage to break free and escape, thereby ruining the meeting and upsetting an already shaky balance. Glaring daggers at his once faithful and trusted comrades, Vyse raised his bound hands. ”After all I’ve done for you, you tie me up and force me to go to a marriage interview?!” Each man nodded enthusiastically, one even smiling while another laughed cheerily. Whatever rage Vyse had dissipated easily as he leaned back into his seat and simply shrugged his shoulders in defeat. He wasn’t going to get out of this one, and it seemed his parents were both serious and adamant about this going successfully. From what he’d been told, he was going to get married to the eldest Princess of the Gorgnus kingdom, during his travels he hadn’t paid much attention to the royalty of the other kingdoms and was simply concerned with helping others so needless to say he was surprised at being used as a diplomatic tool. All the man could do now was pray this didn’t turn out horrible, and he didn’t mess up in some way. The caravan had the customary gifts and presents to be given to his bride to be, none of them picked by him of course. Had Vyse done the choosing it would’ve been filled with armor and weapons. Still this didn’t prevent himself from complaining at random intervals.

Soon the Leandos caravan stopped and Vyse was shoved out of the caravan and surrounded by a phalanx of guards. They made it clear he wasn’t going to be trying to escape as the herded him towards the main hall, staying around the Prince. ”...I’m hungry, you guys didn’t let me eat on the trip over here. Is there a place to get food around here or something? Dying of starvation sounds really pathetic.” A collective sigh escaped from his guards, and he took that as ‘you’re not going to get away by suggesting that you’re leaving just to get a bite to eat’. Man, they really were serious about this marriage thing. Damn. If only his brothers had to go through the same amount of trouble he had. Vyse rubbed his wrists since they had been bound for some time, and he wasn’t one to just stand around waiting despite the fact that’s exactly what he was supposed to do. They would announce his arrival to his fiancé and then there would be all the meeting and the talking, well he wasn’t even sure he could try and talk to her. Dealing with women was a weak point of his. ”…Soo any of you guys know anything about the fair maiden I’m meeting, or are you going to stand around ignoring your Prince so coldly?” Nothing. Crossing his arms in irritation, Vyse bit his thumb and glanced to the side, utterly blocked from escaping, and doomed to meet the beginning of the end. What he wouldn’t give to be out charging into danger and punching soldiers into bloody pulps. That was far easier than dealing with what he was now. Yup, fighting hordes of evil, dictators, rogue bandits, spiders, giant spiders, the occasional giant tarantula, easy. Talking with a Princess or any woman in general, impossible. ”...Should I try and figure out if we have something in common before this? Wait.. What if we don’t? Ugh, well we’re both the oldest of three siblings so there’s something common right there.. Eh might be a tad different since its just brothers for me and sisters for her.. I give.”
