Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts[♥]?
Just a cage of rib bones--and other various parts...
So it's fairly simple to cut right through the mess...
...And stop that muscle that makes us confess.

º Gwen was ecstatic. His joy was almost palpable, and the way his face lit up was priceless--she'd picked the right room. She walked to a bookshelf a few yards away, pulling out a thick book and dusting its cover off, and she immediately regretted her decision. She felt a strong tickle in her nose, and it threatened to sneeze. It was inevitable at this point, and she quickly drew out her hankerchief just in time for the "A-ah--AHHH-CHOOO~!" How dreadfully lady-like. Shaking her head and tucking her kerchief away once more, she opened the acursed book. Fairytales, a fairytale wedding to be precise. How appropriate, she thought with a smirk.

Without looking up, she tucked a stray strand of reddish-auburn hair behind her ear, and said "Please, by all means, explore all you'd like. We have all day" as she flipped through the stories. Dress swaying side to side fluidly as she walked, she seated herself on a love-seat and began to flip through the pictures of the book, tracing the hand-painted watercolor portraits of dragons and castles; far-away lands and skys of the purest blue.

She looked towards Oliver. "I'm sure there's something in here you'd like; we have some of everything. If you need any help finding anything just speak up" she smiled. The pieces were snapping together quite nicely, now. Gwen was pleased with the day's progression.

We are so fragile...
And our cracking bones make noise--
& we are just breakable, breakable, breakable girls and boys...

Λ
lwin was almost to freedom and complete avoidance of any sort of awkward situation when he heard singing. Melodious and care-free it was the sound a young maiden either in complete want to spill her heart out, or bored. He contemplated running and arranging it another time, but something in his chest told him it was best if he didn’t. Halfway into the vineyard on the grounds, he stopped. He sighed, and decided that if he didn’t get it done know…he never would. Not grudgingly, just a little nervous, he paced his way to the hall in which the voice was coming from.

I don’t mean to be rude to the maiden, …it’s just that I’m anxious. What if she doesn’t accept me? It’s rude to keep a lady waiting…

Frustratingly at the thoughts bathing in his brain, he brought his hands to his hair, and was ready to pull them out. He continued walking however, and noticed his servants rushing about suddenly. He didn’t mean to cause panic either, but still they ran as chickens would without their heads. He saw another of his servants escorting a lady he had never seen before. She look quite flustered, and he couldn’t help but chuckle at the expression on the lady’s face. He was a playful sport with women, but when it came to the simple things like facial expressions or hand motions he couldn’t help but be amused.

Hastily now, he approached the huge room know otherwise as the ballroom. He was ready to face his fear and get if over with, but he heard the song again. He immediately recognized it, and wondered about his situation. He could be a cliché romantic, approach the maiden singing it and dance with her or he could scare her and catch her in the act , coyly of course. He chuckled gloriously and decided the second option was the greatest.

Alwin walked carefully to the door, and leaned against it smoothly. Before he began his escapade, he got a good look at the lady. He blushed at the obvious fact that he was ‘checking her out’ but continued to gaze otherwise. She had gorgeous auburn hair, and was rather frail. It wasn’t a homely frail but a dainty and petite lady-like figure. Her face was as charming as her voice, and when he looked down, he couldn’t help but smirk. Her green dress was dirty, and seemed a bit frazzled. ‘I mischievous rebel, I see. Beautiful and adventurous, how lovely!’.

Deciding enough was enough, he began to recite the words to the song, the fair maiden resonated.

♩♪♫♬ Tussled blonde hair was displayed gently upon a silk red pillow. A man with tan yet creamy colored skin was lazing around gently upon his bed as his eyes were apointed towards the ceiling of his room, where his fake plastered on stars were placed. The color of the stars were oddly similar to the glow in his own smothering aqua marine colored eyes. Laying only in his clothing of the previous night, he knew that sooner or later he would have to rise up and out of his comforting bed as soon as the sun hit the sky at a certain fifty seven degree angle. He was lucky enough that his parents had graciously allowed him to gain more rest before today was to start. Today was the day that he was said to have to meet and introduce himself to his supposed arranged marriage. A small sigh slipped past a pale of creamy light, light, light, light almond chocolate colored lips, as his mind was still trying to function at the idea of having to be engaged, and married none the less. Turning over onto his side with his back to the door of his large room, he only sighed once more before he then decided to gently cover his eyes once again ; as the darkness once again took over.

Blink. Gaze Out. Close. Blink Again. Blink Yet Again. And Yet Again. Oh bah hum bug! Rubbing out the evidence of a wonderful nap, aqua marine eyes met those of pure golden chocolate eyes as a small yawn slipped past the young man's lips once more. Trying to turn over onto his other side to escape the gaze of piercing golden chocolate eyes, he turned over only to meet startling and shocking gray rimmed with violet colored eyes. Groaning, he simply lay flat on his back before quickly hiding under his large covers to now avoid both gazes. Light chuckles were heard before the owner of the golden chocolate colored eyes, Talouse De Frou, one of the best friends to the young man who was lazily refusing to rise from his bed to start his eventful day, quickly pulled the covers off of the young man. Said young man quickly shot out of bed to retrieve his stolen covers, but was unsuccessful as his other friends, the owner of the gray rimmed with violet color eyes, also known as Berlioz De Frou, the other best friend to the young man, chucked the younger man over his shoulder and headed towards the washroom where he would deposit him ; as he did every morning.

"Ugh! Talouse! Tell Berlioz to unhand me at once! I demand it!" Eighteen year old Lucian Skylar Cahn Leandor, the youngest prince of the Leandor family, demanded. Although he already knew that Berlioz would refuse to let him down until they arrived at the washroom where Lucian was due for a bath, since it was such a daily reoccurence, Lucian still protested to the sound of Talouses' laughter, before it soon died out with the sound of running water and the exit of both Talouse and Berlioz to attend to their best friends aids and needs throughout the course of the day. And indeed, it was going to be a busy day for them both, since they had to prepare him for the arrival of his bride-to-be ; Princess Seiko Hemelia.

After his uneventful time in the shower, Lucian reappeared out of the washroom freshly washed, shaven, and looked rather presentable. Combing his slightly damp blonde hair back with his fingers to give it a bit of a messy look, he then bent over slighty and shook his head around so that bits and snippets of his hair fell over his eyes which were clouded over with an emotion already known as boredom. Fixing his black collared shirt, he then walked away from his room and decided to venture down the stairs of the castle towards the garden ; one of his most favorite and treasured places throughout the entire castle. Approaching the gardens, he then bent over the rose bed, his personal project as he tenderly watered each and every flower, leaving not one flower with a tear shaped water droplet attempting to seperate itself from the flowers' red petals. Falling back slightly, although he had just taken a shower, Lucian enjoyed the smell of his rather large flower bed and he surrounded himself in the essence of the roses that surrounded his upper body. His lower body was surrounded by forget me not flowers and blue lilies. Gently grasping a rose, which he had grown so that not any of them held a thorn on its stem, he then brought it up to his nose for a small preview of its enticing and beautifully smelling aroma. Ahh! What A Beautiful Day. Lucian thought to himself before he sucummed to the scent of the roses and the beautiful aroma of the blue lilies. What a beautiful day indeed. ♩♪♫♬

•·.·´¯`·.·• Melody of Hemelia •·.·´¯`·.·•
A Princess, I suppose...

"Life is not about waiting out the storm. It's about learning to dance in the rain." - Unknown

Melody continued to stare at the room around her, trying not to think about the fact this could be her future home. She had her back to the front entrance, figuring anyone would be entering through the various smaller doors around her. Why would the Prince be outside, anyways? To escape, obviously. Good for him. She continued the hushed song under her breath, her flustered nerves not even picking up on the fact the acoustics in this room were marvelous. Horribly marvelous. If anyone heard her singing she'd be -

"Like reflections in a lake, I recall what went before... As I give, I'll learn to take, and to be alone no more..."

Melody's breath caught in her chest with surprise at the soft voice, and she realized with a sinking feeling of humiliation that someone had been listening to her. Trying in vain to hide the surprise on her face, she turned in what she thought was a calm pace to gaze at whomever was singing. Her heart nearly puttered to a standstill. It was the Prince. Her husband-to-be. He was leaning casually against the door behind her, and she couldn't help but notice his looks. His rather good looks, at that. All coherent thoughts fled her mind and she stammered for a moment, self-consciously shrinking in posture. A ruddy blush tinted her cheeks at realizing her prince had found her singing in the middle of nowhere. What a wonderful way to get acquainted. In a novel, maybe, but in reality? Gah... She finally regained herself and said nervously, "My apologies, I, I shouldn't have..." She cut herself off and attempted a slight smile. "Forgive me... My name is Melody." She inclined her head in a respectful greeting, before lifting her gaze once more to meet his eyes. She wasn't really sure what to do with herself. And that made her heart pang again, reminding her how much this wasn't her. She couldn't marry someone she didn't love. She just couldn't. So maybe you should fall in love. Oh, yes, of course, I'll just whip up some true love: would you like porridge with that? She refrained from wincing. When she started thinking sarcastically towards her own conscience she knew something was wrong with her.

Trying to break the odd silence between them, she added quietly, "Er... You sing wonderfully, sir." The sound of her quiet voice echoing in the huge room made her want to dart out the front door and climb the nearest tree. But she staid in place, being polite. Maybe he was used to speaking in such big, empty places.

A sinking feeling suddenyl immerged into the pit of her stomach as she stared at the castle. Oh goodness, It was rather large. Were all castles this large from the outside..? Oh they probably were, she was just so little compaired to it. Giving herselfa forced smile, the youngest princess of Hemelia made her way towards the doors. Only to be greeted by one of the Leandor servants. "Good afternoon Princess. I will escort you to Prince Lucien's quarters. For I know that he will be with his garden.." He gave a small smile, as he lead her to the garden.

So, Lucien was his name, and according to his butler. He likes gardens ? Well then, there was one thing that they had in common. Due as of back at home, Seiko had different coloured roses growing that she herself planted a while back. With a slight smile, the Princess curtseyd. "Why thank you sir." She then began to follow him.

Through the castle, their were portraits of his parents. Their grandfather, and whatnot. My goodness, her Castle didn't have half an many pictures of the kids as they did the parents. This was interesting. Stopping at a blonde haired boy, Seiko placed her fingers gently upon it and ran her hands down the left side. Her gaze turned to the butler as he stopped and watched it. "Oh, please forgive me. This boy.. He's just so..." Her gaze then went back to it, and she gave it a good hard stare. "That is his Majesty Prince Lucien Milady.." The Butler snorted, her eyes suddenyl shot towards the butler. Her eyes wide with surprise. "Serious.. Well then." A gentle smile placed her lips as she continued to follow the man.

Upon arriving at the garden, Seiko's eyes couldn't help but shoot all over the place. Wow, this place was magnificent !! It was just as spectacular as her own, and she had to admit. She worked pretty damn hard on that garden to make it to what it's become. With a smile, the butler bowed left into the garden, "Prince Luc. Your princess is here.." He spoke loudly towards him, bowed once more. And left.

The palms of her hands began to get sweaty, as she knew this was the momeny. 'Oh god.. oh god, just breath Seiko, it's going to be alright !' She thought to herself before her feet began to pace around. Gah, the words were getting stuck in her head, she had no clue as of what to say to him. The speech went over and over in her head. "Damnit.." She whispered to herself, before taking another gander into the garden.

Forcing herself to speak, Seiko loved this garden. "..Y..-you have such a beautiful Garden Prince.." She really didn't know what to call him, she had just-- well. Almost met him face to face.

“Would that be why men are called Sirs and women are called Madams?” the brunette added instantly. His tone shown that he acknowledged what she was going at, especially since not many people knew that about horses. It became clear from how enthusiastic the young princess got over the horses Ari took note. One of her little favorites would perhaps be taking care of horses, knowing everything about them. He would have to remember that in the future.

Being led by the hand reminded him of his childhood. In particular one maiden had come over to play with him, that’s what children did after all when they were younger. Her blond hair bounced as she led him through the castle to parts he never seen before. Just as Kaiko had been doing at this particular moment. A small un-noticeable expression began to form on his face. Blood rushing to his cheeks making his face cause a small red pattern. Was he blushing? Why in the world would he blush when he of all people found love to be confusing and odd? The answer did not reach him.

‘I know about protective siblings’ mindlessly Adrian thought as he continued on with her. “At least you know she cares correct?” The most the Prince had been talking in quite some time. Only reason he did was because…well there didn’t appear to be an exact answer.

Her gaze shifted from the ceiling to the decorative vases that littered the hall. Kaiko nodded to his first question, adding, "Actually, it's reversed." Sires and Dams got the title from Sir and Madame. Though, she was glad he understood the connection. Calling a person after a horse, how silly a thought!

When it came to the topic of her sister, she only had one answer, "Of course I know that." Ever since their mother had died, which was pretty much ever since Kaiko could remember, Athena had been taking care of her as if she were her mother. She liked that about her eldest sister. It was her other sister that she had some what of an issue with. Gwen destested almost everything Kaiko loved. The only real exception was their love for fairytales. Kaiko loved being outdoors, no matter what she wore, and Gwen would take forever getting into her 'gear'. Whatever that was. Needless to say, she felt alienated from her sister. But, there were a couple occations that Gwen would go out of her way to see her, like this morning in the stable. But, now that Kaiko thought about it, she came to ask about the guests and who Prince Vyse was. Nothing really concerning the young princess at all.

Athena on the other hand was always around when she needed help. When Kaiko would get into trouble, Athena would take care of the mess and scold her about it. She was always taking extra messures to keep an eye on both her and Gwen.

"Thena's the best big sister I could ask for. She'll do our country a lot of good," she whispered this, not really telling Adrian, but not trying to hide her voice either. She knew that if their father, or grandfather, or anyone for that matter, had to choice a successor from one of the three girls, it would be Athena. At least, that would be the most logical choice.

Kaiko hadn't noticed the change in the prince's face until they finally arrived at the nurse's room. She giggled again at this, it was cute. She opened the door and led the prince in and there, sitting on a bench with one of her medical books, was Eliza. Eliza was an elderly woman who had been tending to Kaiko's multipul injuries since the day the little princess was born.

"Princess Kaiko, what have you done this time?" the old woman gave a heavy sigh. The redhead seemed to be in this room about once or twice a month due to her recklessness. Kaiko showed Eliza her palms, letting go of Adrian's hand. "I scrapped up my hands," she said with a shy grin. The nurse sighed, taking no mind of the quiet prince. She hadn't even realized someone else had entered the room with Kaiko for he was so quiet. Eliza gave a startled jump, seeing the young man standing there, "Well, hello there. I didn't see you."

Eliza took no time in grabbing the typical first aid supplies. First she rubbed the princess's palms clean, so clean that they were red from the friction. Kaiko, of course, was upset by this, but didn't whine like she usually would have. She didn't want Adrian to think of her as a baby. After a few minutes Eliza was about to wrap Kaiko's hands but she protested once again, "Is that really necessary?"

Hopping back over to Adrian she took ahold of his hand and led him out the door into the hall, "So, what'cha wanna do?" She gave him full liberty of choosing what they were to do. She had no idea if there was something they needed to do or not.

Vyse shrugged his shoulders when Athena said they would have to make a stop. If she had to check on something, then that was what she had to do, by the sound of it the situation dealt with one of her sisters too. How could he blame her for wanting to go see one of her siblings? At the very least it showed she was concerned for them, Athena did seem like that respectable and trust worthy older sister type. ”Trust worthy, huh?” Vyse thought to himself, a sigh unconsciously escaping his lips. He didn’t have an estranged relationship with his brothers, and it wasn’t as though they argued or anything in the like, it was just that sometimes he felt very.. Useless in terms of being an older brother. Granted he did run off and do god only knows what for three years it wouldn’t be surprising if there was the tiniest bit of repressed animosity. The man pondered on whether his brothers were having an easier time with their future wives than he was, probably so. All three of them had been reluctant to some extent to this marriage proposal but they all knew their duties well and loved the Kingdom and its people. No son of Leandor would ever shrug off duty anyway. Upon reaching Princess Kaiko’s room with Athena, Vyse did his usual reaction when seeing a rather queer situation. He blinked. Paused. Tilted his head to the side. Blinked again. And then suddenly clapped his hands together as if he had an idea. ”Ah, did we just interrupt something?” He asked innocently, not a trace of sarcasm nor hidden intent in any of those words. He simply just came to the wrong conclusion in a manner that was best not repeated considering how idiotic it was. At times, Vyse had a severe problem with having an extreme deficit of common sense. Thankfully the question was both unheard and unanswered, so when the two young royals left, Vyse wound up clapping his hands together once again and glancing at Athena. ”That was your younger sister wasn’t it? The one that gave me that really disappointed look back at the lounge? Huh..”

Scratching the back of his head while looking off in the direction where the two went, Vyse’s thoughts turned towards the boy who had been with Athena’s sister. That must’ve been one of the Princes of Magnisius, even if the two hadn’t directly talked to each other he could tell he wouldn’t get along with the lad on instinct. ”…Quiet guy. Should we get back to meeting with your father? Even if he’s not exactly expecting us, I hate to keep someone waiting.” He grinned at his bride to be while shoving his free hand back inside of his pocket.

Nodding happily like a child promised a treat, Oliver went back to the shelves. This, he decided, is officially my favorite room. It didn't matter to him that he hadn't even seen the rest of the castle yet. But he was sure that none of it could compare to this.

There were so many; how would he bring himself to choose just one? Even if he did have time to read, how could he expect himself to choose a first without driving himself insane? Fantasy to Non-Fiction, Dull Informational Texts to Tragic, Dramatic Romances. He bit his lip and sighed.
"What to pick, what to pick. Ooooh. Ah- No. Not quite. Uhhhm..." he murmured under his breath absently. Of course he didn't mean to speak aloud to himself, but it was a habit.

Hearing Gwen speak, he turned, nodding.
"Yes, there must be. Thank you." he smiled back, and then went to browsing again. After about forty minutes of nearly chewing his bottom lip off and flipping through probably a hundred books, he found one. Finally done with his great book search (which was surprisingly exhausting, for a book search.), he sat down beside Gwen with a smile, and opened his book, reading the first sentance as he sighed, content.

Walking into a new room a small breathe escaped his lips as he glanced around. Seemed like an infirmary with the design of it all. Sitting down was an elderly woman with knowledgeable eyes. How can he tell? One thing Ari knew was how to read people well. Sort of a small gift that he acquired from his father. For now the princess released his hand and went to be tended to. At that moment he decided he would glance around at how well designed this particular room was. More thoughts poured through his head as a slight matter caused an uneasiness.

What was to become of this? Would the two of them simply live with one another as soon as they were married? Where exactly? Here in Gorgnus or in his kingdom back home? What about his brothers? Who would have the throne? And why would his father do such a thing? All these questions hit him like a ton of bricks. Literately.

Seeing princess Kaiko being treated reminded him that they were so very young. Seventeen wasn’t a number to laugh at but at the same time, what could a seventeen year old teenage boy possibly know about being a husband. Faithful and loyal at that. At least the last part he knew. The whole husband part not so much. You could say that when it came to girls and courting, Ari stayed far away from it.

In all honesty he never truly had someone he could call his special girl. Thought he never would; okay thought more that it wouldn’t be happening till he was around his thirties. Still. Now at the ripe age of seventeen he was to be all knowing about love. Such a task would most likely make things difficult on the brunette and the red head as well. Returning back to him she took his hand and led him out of the room once again. She seemed to like being very physical. Another mental note he made. Then a question flew at him and with all honesty he did not know the answer.

“Perhaps we talk? Um its probably none of my business but we can share things about one another”

She blinked curiously at his answer. He wanted to talk? Adrian didn't seem to be a vocal person, from what she could tell, but when asked what he wanted to do, he gave her the last reply she thought she would recieve. Another shock was, she was hardly asked to be conversed with. Unless of course it was for business, or she was being scolded for her latest jest. Her sisters would talk with her occationally, but it was a short chat before they would have something come up and have to depart.

Kaiko brought her hands to herself, begining to fiddle with her dress. "Okay," she started. She wasn't too sure what to start with. A lot of who she was... well, it's simply embarrasing!

Alright Prince Adrian. I spend every night dreaming about my perfect Prince Charming rescuing me from every disaster you could possibly imagine. I often fight with my maid when morning comes, because I wish I never wake from my dreams. I'm so enveloped in my dreams that I got my daddy to buy me a white steed. Ya know, the kind Prince Charming rides! Someday my own Prince Charming is going to come save me.I'm an absolute book-worm. I've read every encyclopedia, dictionary, and fairytale in our vast library.

These thoughts of hers were depressing. She needed something to cheer her up, but she didn't let her new emotion show on her face. "Let's talk outside," she forced a smile as she looked at him. Kaiko then began to lead the way to the front entrance and out the door. Only this time, she kept her hands to herself, cupped neatly in front of her.

Demitri obediently and silently followed along beside Maria as she gave him the castle tour. He was perfectly content to remain silent; Maria seemed like one of those people who liked to inform others of things. And, well, Demitri was one of those people who liked to learn things from others. So, that worked out well. He briefly wondered just how much of the castle she was going to show him; he hoped she wouldn't show him everything. He liked to have a little mystery in his life, as well. She didn't seem like one of those kinds of people, so...Demitri didn't really know what to expect.

The seamstress's quarters was next, and Demitri peered inside with mild interest. He'd only seen the seamstress's room at his own castle, and was surprised to see that it looked basically the same, except for the gender of clothing that it contained. The room at his castle contained mainly mens' clothing, with exception of a few works-in-progress for his mother. This room prodominantly featured dresses, most of which were very, very impressive. He wondered what Maria would have looked like when all dressed up; he was a bit eager to see that. Sure, she was beautiful now, but what man wasn't stunned when he first saw his fiancee in her wedding dress? Or even some kind of beautiful ball gown! Oh, the very thought made the corner of his mouth twitch a little more as he smiled.

As they continued to walk, Demitri couldn't help but notice the light squeeze given to his arm. Glancing down at the young woman attached to his arm, he smiled lightly, seeing how deep in thought she looked. That expression was very endearing, and Demitri was slightly taken aback by the slight thrill that went through his heart. Goodness; he'd barely even met the woman! He told himself to slow down a bit, to wait a bit. Everyone had faults; he knew that very well. He just had to learn what Maria's were and find ways to work around them. But...what if she didn't have faults? Demitri had quite a few faults. If she were absolutely perfect, would it work between them? Would she be incredibly frustrated with him on a regular basis? He hoped veyr much that it would not work that way.

As she halted in her steps, Demitri was pulled from his thoughts as his heart began to race with anxiety. Just in time, too; he might have chickened out and ran for his life. But now, he was gazing into the interior of the Hemelia Library. It was absolutely breath-taking. Sure, it wasn't any larger than his own library, but it was decorated so differently that it shocked him. As she started to apologize for something, Demitri tried to find anything worthy of apologies. The onyl thing he saw was the busy desk, and he liked that. He smiled, gently and politely pulling his arm from hers and entering the library. He walked calmly and fluidly over to the desk she was apologizing for, and looked one of the open books. He barely stifled a snort of laughter. Turning his gaze back to Maria, he finally spoke after all this time. He should probably tell her how much of a quiet person he was, shouldn't he?

"Are you sisters as different as you? Un-princess-like, I mean." He asked. Almost immediately, his pale cheeks flushed with color and his eyes widened as he realized how rude that must have sounded. "I-I mean.. I mean that in the best possible way. I apologize if I have offended you.." he sheepishly averted his gaze, choosing instead to look at the books as he bit his lower lip. God, how could he say something like that?! How absolutely, ridiculously, horribly stupid!!

º The library's calm, quiet atmosphere always made Gwen feel drowsy after a while. She was almost struggling to stay awake, pinching her arm to keep her eyes open. She couldn't live with herself if she merely fell asleep while Oliver was reading a book. Not only would it halt the tour after only one room, but it was the middle of the day! The time of day that, frankly, she should feel most vibrant and awake. Yawning softly, she flipped a page lazily, then another and another. She felt the familiar low rumble in her belly that was a silent warning of a soon louder protest from her empty stomach. She really needed to eat something before she grew cranky.

There were only a few things that could instantly put Gwenivere in a bad mood: being overheated, underfed, and kept waiting. One was bad enough, but any combination of the three was a recipe for disaster. Right now, her stomach was apparently trying to eat itself, and threatening to emit a low growl. But she couldn't just drag Oliver away from something that gave him so much pleasure.

After a quick pondering, Gwen decided to stick it out. She slouched back into the loveseat and set the heavy book in her lap, flipping through the pages once more.
Occasionally she'd glace at Oliver, wondering if he had anything to say. He seemed pretty absorbed in his book, however, and after a while Gwen's head rolled back to rest on the back of her seat, and she fell into a light sleep.

We are so fragile...
And our cracking bones make noise--
& we are just breakable, breakable, breakable girls and boys...

Upon feeling Gwen move around, Oliver glanced at her. She seemed... almost uncomfortable. But she didn't say anything. And when he'd look back a minute later, she'd seem fine. So he kept reading, slighty confused.

When he looked back at her not ten minutes later, she had dozed off. Her sleeping face was peaceful, and Oliver had to admit to himself that she was quite a beautiful person. He chuckled lightly, and took the book from her hands, careful not to wake her, and placed it on a nearby table. Then, very gently, he eased the princess down into laying position. He knew that if she kept sleeping with her head tilted back, she would have a sore neck. The same thing had happened to him a few times.

He smiled again at the sight of her and then went and sat in the big, inviting chair close to the couch, going back to his book, quite amused and not at all offended with Gwen. All of this, meeting him, walking around, having to act charming, must be tiring for her. Of course, he was tired, too. But he wasn't wearing that evil corset.
