Rose Philander
" Dead men tell no tales. Yet, you would be surprised how much they can tell us without even saying a word."
Rose entered as she gave a soft smile to Doctor Pierce. She took her seat and presented him an autopsy report. " Well, I did my external examination, and I at first thought it must have been a flaw in his genetic structure. So, before I opened him up, I took the liberty of looking at his genetic code. There was not a single problem. He was fine, perfect to be exact. So, then I opened him up and found that he completely fried himself. He cooked himself from the inside out. I checked his insulation, and it was fine. It was then when I took out his stomach continents I found the problem." She said as she took a small plastic baggie out of her lab coat and placed it on his desk. The bag was labeled and inside were five coins. A dime, nickel, two quarters and a penny. " He must have found them in the hallways or something. To be honest I don't know where he got them. But they are the cause of the problem. He ingested them, and did his routine test. When he broke the barrier to electric eel voltage, the coins reacted to the electricity. They heated up and sent discharges throughout his entiere body. While his insulation may keep him safe outsaide, it can't do much for him on the inside. So, he cook himself. And if the voltage wouldn't have killed him, he may havegotten something from ingesting the coins. More prevelant in the penny." she said non-chalantly.
" I countinued my autopsy to look for anything else strange, but there was none. The coins were still in his stomach, so he must have taken them right before testing. At first I was going to label his death an accident. But apparently, this is suicide. I'm pretty sure he had a clear understanding of what he was getting himself into." she said, slightly void of emotions. " Dr. Pierce. That makes him the twelfth one this week. We need to do something. Or otherwise they will all kill themselves. Psycologically this is a very tramatic experiance, that they know they can't get out of." she said. Rose then realized she was telling Pierce what to do. She instantly shut her mouth and said, " I'm sorry if I spoke out of line sir. It's just that, if children want to commit suicide, there has to be a problem."

Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down...
Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down like toy soldiers
Bit by bit, torn apart, we never win
But the battle wages on for toy soldiers
We all fall down...
Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down like toy soldiers
Bit by bit, torn apart, we never win

Kieran wandered the crowded room that was the lowest level of FEAR. True it wasn't over crowded, and there was plenty of room to walk around without touching others, but to a territorial creature like a wolf, the place was claustrophobic. Everyone was encroaching on his territory and Kieran had been the start of many fights in those first months of his change. A shifting body nearby startled him. That young man, he was deadly with his baton. Lijah Nayl. A particularly ruthless guard. Even compared to a wolf's speed and reflexes, Nayl struck like lightning. It was more like a snake, with the baton as his fang. It struck and bodies dropped in spasms. Nayl had defended himself against such creatures as the vicious tiger experiments and the monstrous rhinos. Nayl moved so fluidly it was like a deadly dance in the middle of a chaotic riot. Kieran's tail dropped a few inches in respect to the man as he passed by.
Pierce opened the report and looked it over, as well as the DNA readout. He bypassed the text sheet and eyed the colorcoded visual diagram. The double helix shown in orange, red, blue and green to represent the four genomes. Pierce's trained eyes circled down the helix, reading it like a blueprint. Indeed, the pieces he saw here were mapped out perfectly. There was no genetic problem. Pierce shut the file and brought up the message from the Board once more on his monitor.
