Emmi was, like she always was, on her horse in the forest. Being in the palace was... Boring. The stuffy old place was full of squires, pages, and princes. Breathing in a deep whiff of fresh air, she gave a mellow grin and leapt off her horse, briskly walking to a tree and pressing her ear against it. It was an old oak, and it's trunk was withered with age. But what stories it told. It had been living for decades, scores, centuries, and would live for a while longer, too. Leaving the tree, Emmi got back onto her horse and spurred it to a trot, avoiding low branches and foliage as her horse ran.
