{{Watched the small cloud of mouth creep out of his mouth? ImmEx, I am confused... wink lol! Sorry! Had to mention it. I thought it was really funny and cute. wink }}

Sydney let Dorian finish all that he had to say before she responded. When he called her a 'bloodsucker', though, she winced and immediately turned her head away. She had been called that before, a lot actually. She was called that periodically centuries ago when vampire myths were prevalent. Then, after vampires had been revealed to be real, many who found out she was one would hiss that out to her as she passed. It was horrific. She could hear the humor in Dorian's voice when he said it, but all the horrible images and harsh voices came to her mind instantly after he had said that word.

When she spoke, Sydney's voice was very soft and her head was still turned away. "Don't... Don't ever wish to become one of us, Dorian. Not ever. Never wish for that. It is more lonely, cold, and boring than you could ever imagine. I have lost count how many years I have been existing. I have stopped celebrating these new years because there's nothing new about them any longer.... Well, not before tonight..."

He raised a brow at her, even though she wasn't looking at him. "Sydney," he purred. He reached over, without caution, and touched her seemingly fragile face. With a finger, he turned her to face him.
"Even if I wished upon it, I doubt you'd let that happen. Look at us, absorbing this beautiful sight that cannot even compare to what you'd see in a mirror. ...If you were able to see yourself in a mirror, I guess," he quietly added with a smirk.
He pulled away and laid back, his head resting on his hands. "You obviously find me attractive, since you didn't eat me, and would totally have your way with me if you weren't afraid of killing me."

Dorian grinned at her, his hair pushed back by gravity and almost protectively curling around his fingers and wrists.

((So I realized, some posts back, I had written Dymetri instead of Dorian. Fantastic.))

{{Are you serious? LOL! I love that. That makes me smile. wink What's even more 'fantastic' is that I, reading your post, didn't notice! Epic facepalm! XD}}

Sydney sighed softly when Dorian touched her and turned her face to meet his. She met his eyes. She was not afraid or cautious to meet his eyes, but she was careful not to reveal anything through her own.

He was right. She would never, ever turn him or let someone else turn him into a vampire. However, she wasn't always around. Anyone else could turn him. While it was rare for a turning to occur, it still happened on occasions. Another vampire could find Dorian as intriguing and fun as she did and want to turn him to keep him at their side for eternity. She wished he'd take this threat seriously. Maybe if she stayed next to him, she could make him see how dangerous things could be for him... She could do that. She could make him see that. She would make him see that.

Not tonight, though. Tonight was special. Tonight was beautiful now and new.

When he mentioned the mirror and a reflection, the corner of her mouth turned up in a smirk and she actually chuckled slightly. "That is true. I have not seen myself in centuries. Though, I wonder if humans can view us in a mirror. It is rumored your kind can. I've never been around one long enough to find out. After all, if that was not possible, then how did people not learn about us before now? If a human were to see someone without a reflection the mirror, you would think that the truth about us would have gotten out long before now."

At his comment about her having her way with him, she actually let out a full, genuine laugh and her eyes began to sparkle again. She had not been expecting that at all. And yet, it totally seemed like something Dorian would say. It matched his cockiness and sense of humor perfectly. She really liked that about him.

Sydney nodded her head shrugged one of her shoulders. "Yes, you're right. I probably would have. And it would have been the best sex of your life, if you survived it. We may be dead, but you definitely wouldn't know it by our skills and passion. Our passion is never sated for long. You know how passionate we are for blood. You have just experienced that first hand. Our passion for another's body, to consume it in an entirely different way, is as strong as our passion for blood is."

Her eyes flashed red momentarily before returning to their normal appearance.
