Once upon a time, wise, ancient beings use to roam the lands in harmony with humans and the other creatures which thrived on the earth. These ancient creatures known as dragons were there to keep the peace, allowing only the pure-hearted to become what is known as dragon riders. All seemed well, until one of the riders fell to greed and decided to use a dragon's power for evil. Swallowed by evil, the dragon's pure white scales turned as black as cole and the once lush land turned to darkness. One by one the dragons and riders a like fell to this new evil and the once abundant dragons began to dwindle as they were hunted down and slaughter. By doing this, the prince of darkness believed no one would dare challenge him without the power of dragons. He believed he would rule as king for as long as his dragon would live. Those who submitted to his darkness became known as the Tenebris dragons. Although not all dragons had their scales turn black, it's very rare for a dragon of light color to be found among the ranks.

But all is not lost...

Despite the low numbers of dragons and their riders not under the prince's control, some do still exist. A dragon has risen up, voted into the role of king by his followers. These dragons have yet to name themselves, but the prince is fearful of their upraising. Those creatures who still have the right to dragon friendship have a mission to take back the land that once belonged to all and dethrone the prince of darkness and his dragon. An epic battle between the last riders and the followers of darkness have broke out and no one is safe.

Ⅰ First and foremost, follow the TOS. I don't want this roleplay to get banned.

Ⅱ This is an action roleplay therefore fighting is encouraged, just please don't make us sick with any detailed gory stuff. Romance is also encouraged, but no cybering. Once the clothes come off, time skip. This roleplay is open to straight, yaoi, and yuri so please be open minded when joining. Also, I love it when people keep me on my toes so twists and plotting is loved, just make sure to communicate with those involved first.

Ⅲ Foul language is alright, just please don't go overboard. It isn't cool or attractive and it shows that you have a small vocabulary.

Ⅳ Very important rule: NO GODMODING. PERIOD. If it must be done for whatever reason, I and the person you are GMing against must approve it first. If it is not run by me, I will delete the post and give you a warning. Three warnings and you will be asked to leave.

Ⅴ Grammar is a MUST. Which means punctuation (including commas), correct sentence structure, and things of that nature. I won`t bite your head off for misspellings, no one is perfect, but if you must please use dictionary.com and spell check. No one likes to struggle when trying to read a post.

Ⅵ I'm not picky on post length but I, unfortunately, do have to put a max and minimum. I prefer quality over quantity. I'm only going to ask for a minimum of two paragraphs (that's five juicy sentences) and a maximum of seven paragraphs. One liners are not accepted here and novels are not welcome.

Ⅶ I would like this to be a long term roleplay, so if you're going to join, post once, then leave, I suggest you hit the back button now. Also, if you lose interest and plan on quitting or will be away for a long amount of time, please let me or one of my mods know. I will make exceptions if circumstances are out of your control, like losing your internet for a week. I'll just ask for an explanation upon your return.

Ⅷ Try to post at least three times a week. I know we all get writer's block or get busy with life/jobs.

Ⅸ Try to make characters as original as possible. I don't want gary-sues, mary-sues and what-have-yous. Not everyone needs a sob story.

Ⅹ Send all profiles to me with the title of your character class and which side you represent.

Ⅺ When posting, make sure to at least include the character's name and picture in your post. Please don't use pictures or post designs that will stretch the page. Also, no bright or annoying colors.

First lets talk about the different character types.

▻ Dragon Riders ◅

Obviously, these are the people chosen by dragons and use them as mounts. Dragon riders and dragons are best of friends though that does not mean their personalities always match up. Dragons are always loyal to the rider they pick because once they pick a rider, they are partners for life. Once a dragon selects their warrior, they become bound. This new binding is formed with some kind of mark on the rider, given to them by their dragon. This allows them to speak telepathically with their dragon, understand the dragon's language, and allows both the dragon and rider to locate their partner's whereabouts at any time. Also, it allows the dragon to share special abilities with their master, although this is not in all cases. If a rider or dragon dies, the bond is broken. The rider may or may not be chosen again by a different dragon, although this is rare since most dragons don't like the idea of sharing.

*Dragon riders will be limited at the beginning until both the light and dark sides are filled properly. Riders can only be Humans, Nekos, Elves, Nymphs, Vampires, or a type of demon with no other form. This rule can bend if you ask me about a different race before filling out the profile. If a person wishes to play just a rider or just a dragon (to be paired with a rider), they must first ask my permission and must already have found a partner. If they have not found a partner, they will go into a different section until they do so.*

▻ Followers of Darkness ◅

They are the minions and followers of the Prince of Darkness. They have incredible fighting skills and most are fiercely loyal to their prince. They guard the Prince's castle and keep all citizens in line. They also have strict orders to kill or capture any dragons they come across and kill any companion seen with them so there will be no rebellions. They vary in races. In the prince's army, those who are dragon riders are given a higher position.

▻ Citizens ◅

These are the normal people of the world. The innocents caught in the middle of this battle or those who are trying to remain neutral. They can be ranged from humans to vampires, nekos to werewolves and anything in between.

▻ Rogue Dragons ◅

Basically, a rogue dragon is a dragon who has not yet chosen a rider. These are freelancing dragons who are either neutral to the situation or simply do not wish to have a rider. Not many of these still linger around.

On a side note, all dragons have both a human and dragon form. Try to keep the two forms at least a little bit similar.

๑ Dragons live for a very long time so true life mates do not come easy. Although they may choose to be mated to someone they are not bound to by fate, it is not as pleasing nor satisfying. Dragons find their true life mates through a strong binding designed by fate. We two mates meet, their souls cry out to one another and upon acceptation, become bound immortally. The two dragons' life force become one, so if one dies as does the other. They can feel when their mate is in danger or in pain and is naturally drawn to want to be with their mate. This emotional connection doesn't happen over night so it's not instantly falling in love, but it is a force so strong that the pair cannot ignore it. It would incise them to get to know one another better over time. Of course, because fate has created the pair for one another, they would naturally fall in love over time because they are made for each other. The amount of time it takes, however, is up to them.
