In a corner of the world, a darkness was growing. Underneath the crust and dirt of the planet, he was slowly growing stronger. I will be powerful in no time...He thought, feeling the darkness pulse around him. He was a strong being. Bathing in and then absorbing the evilness of many realms. Many feared him and rightfully so, for he was nigh unstoppable. There was one weakness though, only a dragonborn could defeat him. Or so it was prophecised. He scoffed. I will crush them all before they even realize what is happening...
Meanwhile, after meeting at the Tree of Life and going to another realm...
"What are you saying Nahalia! That is preposterous! No mere child could defeat a darkness that is so great it could destroy us! It's blasphemy!" Said the elder Crian, the leader of the elders along with his wife Cia. "We cannot rest our lives in the hands of a child!" Crian then hit the table with so much force that the goblet sitting on it fell over and spilled water onto his handwritten scrolls. Nahalia tried really hard not to laugh and kept a straight face. "Crian, I'm sorry to say, but the prophecy does tell of a dragonborn, who with souls, can defeat the evilness. Mia is the dragonborn and I know she will deafeat him." She said, crossing her arms and her brother beside her nodded. "She is right." Nehaom added. "I've seen the dragonborn progress in her teachings, she is excelling, and four years will make her perfect and ready to face it. We need her and you know it Crian." Nehaom finished, giving the elder a glare. Crian saw it and was miffed. Looking around him, at the other members of the Council. "What say you?"
Lena tapped her fingers on her table, next to her was Chela and they both agreed with Nahalia. They too knew the prophecy and it did say a dragonborn would defeat the great evil. "My sister and I are with Nahalia. We need to believe and trust in Mia. She is the only dragonborn we have and plus, she came from another realm. So what do you think her arrival means. It is very clear that she was sent to us." She said, her voice ringing out and filling the room. Some of the oldest council members nodded and agreed with her and hopefully give their support to Nahalia. Good luck Nal. I hope they'll believe in you like I do.
Rose was bored, next to her sat Soren, looking like a happy idiot. "Why are you so happy?" She asked him, low enough so others couldn't hear but him. "I'm happy because I also believe that we need Mia. I mean, I don't want to die just yet and it also looks like Crian's getting nervous. We are winning the tide." Soren said, giving Rose a grin. Rose looked at Crian and he was indeed nervous. The man was sweating bullets. Standing, "I too choose the dragonborn. It is her fate. We know what happens to those who try to avoid or change it, don't we Crian. So let her follow her destiny. It was decided long ago." She then sat down and looked towards their next speakers. One was a shapeshifter, with her guardian and the other a pegasi. Since there was only one of each of them, they sat next to eachother.
Crian snarled then looked at Shainea and Gaela. "What do you two think? You also agree with the others?" He said. rubbing his ring on his wrinkled hand. It was a dark sapphire set in a gold crest. It was a family heirloom. Shainea glanced at Gaela, who nodded, and then she stood up. Kaleno beside her. "We do agreee Crian. Who's to go against fate? I've tried and it only brought me disaster. If you try, you know what could happen. We should trust in Mia, train her, and face this evil ourselves. Mia will do most of the work I'm sure, but I will help her. As will the others,I assume, will too." Glancing from the corner of her eye, she could see everyone was nodding in agreement. Crian, despite their arguments, rubbed his chin and with a gavel hit the table. "It is decided then! The dragonborn will stop the great evil with the aide of all the races! All in favor say aye!" 'Ayes' echoed throughout the room and with a 'boom' it was decided. Mia the dragonborn was going to slay the greatest evil that ever threatened them...
