When the gun was fired, Chula began running. She decided to pace herself, rather than sprinting. But then she saw that some people had mounts, and thought there was no way she could out run a horse. "I have to try, " she told herself as she picked up the speed. She mananged to pass some people with just her speed alone. From a distance she saw Artem play a nasty trick on a runner. Which cuase the person to slow down. As she turned to look, he wasn't the only one. Many people were using their magic and strengths to get an advantage. With no skill or experience, Chula knew she would have trouble trying to just finish the race.

Artem watched as the person whom he'd punched stagger and fall behind him, if he kept this up them he'd have no trouble winning the race. When he saw someone fly over his head using a jet of fire as propulsion he narrowed his eyes in a hateful glare "Now that isn't fair." he saw a man riding a horse begin to pass him which gave him an idea. He removed his halberd from his back and with the blunt end smacked the side of the mans head. As the man began to slowly fall off the horse Artem jumped up on it and pushed the man off, he jammed his heels into the horses sides and it went faster. As he passed people on mounts he would smack them with the blunt end of his halberd as well, soon he was ahead of the entire group and had completed his first lap, he was determined to win by any means necessary..

Kristi blushed when she heard Jet and was still when the gun was fired. She shook her head and began running after them. 'Darn it! I have to stay focused...' she thought and ran past so many people, it seemed as though she was in first. She ran not nearly as fast as she could but fast enough to make up for the time lost. She felt a pain in her side but completely ignored it. She couldn't fall behind any more than she already was. She looked ahead and couldn't spot anyone familiar. All around her people fell from exhaustion. 'Why'd they even want to be a part of this if they can't run?' she thought and continued.

The people who were gaining a lead, got the envy of those running behind. One contestant decided to slow down the man that had fire helping him to rocket him in the front. So when he decided to go on his 2nd lap, he decided to use his water magic to slow him down. Others saw the Artem and thought it unfair that he was ridding on someone elses mount. So the took some rope and lasso it around the undead, pulling him off the horse. They laughed as they ran pass him. A woman saw a girl running very quickly. She was a very envious woman, and didn't like anyone who was better than her. So she pulled out her arrow and shot it to Kristi's leg. "That outta slow her down," she grinned. There was also a challenger who saw a couple of twins running by. He saw how well the boy was able to fight off the other people, but thought that his weak point was the girl he held hands with. He jumped into the air and swept the girl away from her bother. Leaving the blind kid, to himself. The whole race carried on like that. Everyone using what ever they can to get ahead. Those who were weak, were ignored.

Kristi felt a sharp pain in her leg and winced but continued on. She glanced at the arrow now sticking out of her leg and the blood slowly trickling down her leg. She ignored the pain completely and tried to keep the race fair. She could of used her power...but it wasn't right. She was going to be fair no matter what. She soon completed her first lap, by then her leg had gone completely numb.

Chula continue to run with no hopes of winning the race. There was no way of beating these people. Luckily, everyone saw her as a weak componet, and didn't even bothered with sabotaging her. Of course it was a bit insulting, she wasn't going to start complaining. At least this way, she would be able to finish the race. She saw the warrior girl get attacked by an jealous archer. "Hey!," she shouted to the girl, "You're leg! You have an arrow, do you want me to take it out?!" She could only imagine the pain she was gong through. But the girl wasn't the only one. Chula saw that many people were being attacked.

xxJet noticed that Kristi was hurt. He believed in honor. Which meant sure they could use their powers but hurting others? He wouldn't allow it. He swooped down and grabbed Kristi. ""Let me help you...There are no rules after all.."" He said and carried her as they flew finishing the race at the same time as her.

Kristi blushed when Jet picked her up. At least some people have some honor and kindness in them...' she thought. "Thanks..." she said and suddenly realized how bad the wound was. She bit her lip, trying to ignore the pain but it wasn't helping. She cringed as the pain grew sharper and closed her eyes tightly. She hadn't realized it before but the aroow actually did hurt.

xxJet blushed and nodded when they crossed the finish line He set her down and got to work on ehr wound pulling out the arrow and applying herbs to the wound to help it heal as well as cleaning it out. He then applied pressure to stop the bleeding and bandaged it up tightly. "There are you ok?" He said queitly.

Kristi nodded. "Yeah...thanks..." she said and looked down. Her leg still stung but she felt fine. "So...what place did we finish?" she asked and looked up at him. She didn't want people to worry about her and the best way to avoid that was to change the subject.
