Vera nodded her head, in a bow, towards Sable as she heard the alpha female give a bark towards her.

Then she walked towards Silvermoon's den and peeked inside. She spotted the Shamman sitting by a pup.

"Is he getting any better?" Vera's usually loud and cheerful voice was lowered to a soft murmur just in case the pup was sleeping. She had heard that the pup was sick a few days ago, when it had first caught that strange fever.

...and make a wish.

((not sure if the puppy's a boy or girl xd ))

silvermoon looked up at vera and shook her head. the pups breathing was slowed and she didnt think he would last much longer.
"no he is not dear, please ready the pack he will join the ansestors soon."
her voice was hushed and sad as she watched the pup take a breath and then another but that was it. a small cool breaze blew around her and she closed her eyes boweing her head.

Vera felt her heart become heavy as she listened to what Silvermoon said. Then it seemed as if it had dropped right through her chest as she heard the pup's breathing finally stop. Her shoulder's seemed to droop as she looked over at the pup's, now still, body.

Remembering what Silvermoon had said, Vera nodded. "Right..." She turned around and walked back into the clearing. She stopped towards the center of it to make her grim announcement.

She sat down, her head held high. "Attention, everybody!" Each of the wolves in the clearing looked up and slowly gathered around her. "The pup that caught that fever a few days ago has just died-" Vera saw some of the wolves suddenly look sad. "-and Silvermoon wanted me to tell you this."

Tanis snarled quietly when she heared Vera. She heaved her suddenly heavy body from her rock, leaving it covered in ice and padded over to the healers den. She looked inside and nuzzled the pup then backed out and stood at the enterance. She lifted her muzzle in a mournful howl, others joining her.

silver watched the alphess then picked up the pup by the scruff and took it out of the den. she took it into the forest where they barried the dead and started digging. it was her duity to barry the dead and though she hated doing it she wound. once the grave was dug she barried thecub she placed her paws on the gravwe and beautifull flowers grew where the cub was. slowley she walked back to the den her head held low.

Sable rose to her paws, heavy with grief. Feeling the sorrow of the pack as a whole deep in her blood and bones, she joined Tanis's mournful howl with a low tone of her own.

It was always painful to lose a member of the pack: evermore-so to lose a young one. There was little else that the black wolf felt she could do, so she sank to the ground on her stomach and laid her head on her paws, whining to convey her sadness. She would follow the lead of the elder alpha in what would come next, she supposed.

Vera looked over at Silvermoon and gave a weak smile, still feeling sadness within her heart. "It's okay, you did your best. Not everything can be saved."

It was a shame that that little pup had died but they would just have to get past it. Vera always felt at least slightly bad whenever something died, no matter what it was and even if she didn't even know that thing...though she never admited that to anyone else. That was just the strange thing about her.

Tanis bit of her howl with a snap Her gaze swept over her pack and settled on the young wolf. She trooted over and gently nudged her, the very air around her crackleing with cold. "Come now, you must get up and be strong." she wispered before looking up. "Yes we lost a young one today, the future of our pack, but we must remember and celebrate the life that remains!"her strong voice echoed into the still air, wisps of mist drifting from her black and white fur.

Sable raised her head at Tanis's words, then pushed herself up onto all four paws to stand. "You are right," she said, agreeing fully with Tanis. The solid black wolf's breath pooled out in a puff of white smoke in cold air surrounding the elder alphess.

"We were blessed to have had the young one with our pack as long as we did," Sable began quietly, "so we should continue on as a whole to honor what memories we have left of him. That he might live on in our hearts."

"Well said." Vera spoke up, her voice slightly distant. It seemed as if the wolf was lost in her own thoughts.

Her eyes became focused as she was brought back into reality. "We should just try to keep on living out our lives."

As Seigfred bounded over to his pack his face grew solemn as he heard them talking,a pup had just died.He closed his eyes for a moment before appearing next to Vera(some called it teleportation but in truth he was just born with the ability to run that fast)"Vera"He whispered"Is everyone all right,considering the sudden loss..."The wolf yawned,showing his huge canines before pushing his ears down on his head to show that he too had suffered from the packs loss

Vera glanced over at him with a solemn look on her face. She gave a nod, kind of a small bow, to show respect to the alpha. "Yes, sir, I think everyone's okay." She looked back towards the other wolves. "Some of them are still sad but I'm pretty sure by the end of the week everyone will have gotten over it."

The wolf nodded"Good,how is the shaman doing?,you would think it would be a heavy loss for her,being the one who was taking care of the little one"Seigfred sighed and turned his head to Silvermoon,his eyes grew heavy at the sight and he looked away

"Last I saw her she seemed pretty sad." Vera sat down. "Then again, this hasn't been the first time Silver has seen someone...or a pup...die. It has happened a few times before. I'm sure she'll be fine soon."
