Lexa flicked Dero in the back of the head, lightly , just as he grabbed the box. "Hey nosey...drop the box or I drop your mech in a bottomless pit!" she said from behind him with a smirk. "What part of dont touch anything did you not understand?" she pouted.

Dero slowly set the box back down. "Come on, you tell me not to touch anything and I have to touch SOMETHING." He chuckled and turned around to face her. "Aren't you supposed to be driving the ship?"

Lexa folded her arms "Fancy new thing called autopilot." she sighed and grabbed the box. Then turned and reached up, placeing it in a storage locker and locking it.

When she looked back at Dero, she squinted a bit then turned and walked out. Her voice echoing in the hall "We should be there in 10 minutes"

"Never heard of it!" Dero could never use autopilot. Mechs required far more control that a computer could not simply copy, especially since each mech had a different system of movement. "Ten minutes? Thats it? Hmmm..." He walked back to the cockpit, still bored.

Lexa leaned back in her chair. "Geeze are all you mech pilots so jittery?" she asked as the scenery outside began to look a bit more familiar. She was waiting to get some sort of communication from the base once they got closer.

Dero shrugged. "Most of us. We are used to fast paced combat and long boring trips. So I like walking around, gives me something to do." He started to spin around slowly.

"Would have never guessed..." she said sarcastically. She touched the control panel sending out a short hail frequency to base, "Come on ..pick up...." she said as she watched the screen.

Dero dropped to the floor from too much spinning and help his head for a few seconds. "You need to be more fun, ya know. Its no good if your always so serious! Have some fun, lighten up!" He waved his hands around. "Maybe I should get you some Sake! Or Sojou!" He went off on how she would be more fun drunk.

Lexa inwardly cursed. " I am not drinking....especially with you around...." she whispered the last part, as her hand still touched the control panel. Hopeing to catch a response.

Frustrated she finally turned around and looked at dero who was on the floor "Seems like you dont need to drink?" she giggled, then covered her mouth and turned back to the screen.

Dero jumped up and poked her. "I got you to giggle! " He was abviously happy about getting some sort of un-serious reaction from her. "I don't think you've ever gotten drunk! You should try it! It's tons of fun! Long as your not driving anything." He remembered the last time he had been a little tipsy with the sake, then gone out on assignment and chuckled.

Lexa frowned and swatted his hand, annoyed at his reaction. She looked away as heere face turned a bit pink from embarassment.

Her hand still touching the button to contact the base. "Ahhh..why wont they pick up.... we cant land just anywhere!!" she mummbled, knowing that they should be increadibly close to the base by now. If not right over it.

Rex stood in the command room, on the slightly raised platform that overlooked the room, though it was only two feet off the base level of the room. The main attraction to the room was the large glass screen with also worked as a HUD and on the center of the platform was a holographic display of the ship's surroundings. Along the walls were computers and people checking what they told, battle information on radar scans, weapon progress, etc. Marcus was in the more submerged and frontal area of the room, which had a chair and was surrounded by glass, a second seat beside him but no-one there. He tapped a few things and climbed out of the laid-back chair and walking towards the middle platform of the room. He gave a shove and flew to where Rex was standing, looking at what he was. The holographic display showed the slow decent of the enemy ship, in flames and soon to crash, an occasional escape pod firing out and his fighters coming towards the ship, seeming slow in their pace as the launch ship was the center of the display. "How long until we're packed up?" he asked, referring to getting all fighters and 'mechs into their bays so they could go at cruising speed. "Fifteen minutes max, sir. Ten at the most." one of the officers stated. "That battle was depressing, I didn't even get to use those capital-class torpedoes this time. We've had them for months..." Marcus said, a little depressed. "Maybe not meeting something big enough to use those on is best, aye?" Rex replied, his eyes still watching the fighters come into the ship. "Aye... I doubt the CO's are gonna let us just set one off... I wanna see how powerful they are." he said, clearly stating his wants. Rex thought a moment of stating their effective kill range and damage radius, but withheld himself as he would only sound cold. "Tell ya what, we'll hit the next ship we see with one, regardless. Unless it's a gunship, that'd be too small..." he told Mark. A glimmer of hope came to Marcus and his heart raised, oh-so eager to go hunting again. "Deal! And yeah, nothing that would dodge it... a light assault ship would even be pushing that limit... How long until we're packed now?" Marcus asked the officer who had told Rex the ETA last time, eager for them to get on the move. "Err... seven minutes?" he said, a little unsure.

"Ah crap!" Dero jumped back. "I forgot to activate the card!" He frantically patted himself down and pulled a tiny lighter-like thing out of his pocket. "I hope this still works..." He popped the top and pressed the button inside. Nothing happened, so he slipped it back in his pocket and sighed. "I sure hope that worked..."

((I gotta take a shower. Be right back))

Lexa groaned "The hell !?!" she grumbled. She smecked the button again, trying to hail the base. "This is annoying!!" she frowned. She strared out the front. There was definate battle damage over the landscape. "Hmmm we missed a battle here!" she mummbled again.

Lexa had enough she grabbed the com "Hello..is there anyone out there?" she asked.

Quest: Ancient Naginata/ Emerald Seed
"A battle?!" Dero instantly perked up, even more. "I cant believe we missed a battle! I wonder how bad the UTF got destroyed!" He laughed. "So... Where is base?" He was right next to Lexa, trying to get a better look at the battle site.
