Lexa sighed as she sat in the gunship. Her heals pressed against the control pannel. " Nothing to blow up....bored" she mummbled to herself. Her eyes caught something small and rodent like scurry across the outer panel of her window. " Yuck...." she grummbled as a tiny blip sounded.

She leaned foward and looked at the screen "That is one big rodent!" she said with a smile as she hit the ships panic button. "Enemy raiders spotted." her voice came in cool and icy to the captain.

Dero lazily trudged around in his mech. The day had been uneventful, and he was surprised anyone would be stationed in such a boring place. He was currently with Lexa, assigned to patrol the area until all enemy units were proven to be destroyed or absent. Dero was about to tap the comm link and annoy Lexa for a little while, until her voice crackled on. He chuckled and pressed the comm link. "Ey, Lexa! Whatcha got that I don't see?" He had replaced a radar for a missile launcher on his mech, and wasn't regretting it for a second. Using radar was no fun, he preferred finding the prey on his own. "Oh wait... I see it now!" The tiny dot on the horizon was barely visible. "What is it?"

"Looks like mechs..." she said as she smacked the screen. "I am getting only one blip, but where there is one..you know there are more to follow" she said a small yawn suppressed by her open palm. "you think you can handel it this time Dero?" she said rolling her eyes. A mech battle was never too much fun for her.

Dero waved his hand, although she wouldn't be able to see him, lest she had brought up a video feed. "Of course, like I would let the one with a ship designed to take out mechs handle it!" He flipped a few switches and adjusted the seat he was in. The a few red lights started flashing. "You know... I need to turn off the damn safety features in this thing..." He flipped another switch and the red lights stopped. "Alrighty, would you like me to handle all of them?" He flipped open a panel and slammed his fist on another button. Panels flew open across the mech, and a blue light shone from each, humming quietly.

Lexa sighed "Fine ..fine....I am going. And stop destroying your own mech!! Sounds like hell in there!" She didnt put the video feed up, seeing Dero would only put her in more of a bad mood, especially if he was messing things up in his mech.

Lexa kicked a flip switch causeing the engins to blare and fire up. She was hoovering over Dero's mech, upside down. The only thing keeping her seated was a shoody red seat belt. She waved and shot past him over a clearing, straightening her ship as she was now able to see a clear view of a dozen mechs.

"Sending transmission to the enemy!"

He voice rang out over the field " UTF Mech fighters, surrender your arms and fall , or suffer heavy fire. This is your only warning!"

Her hand was already hoovering over the button to fire missels.

Dero pulled a handle from above his head and the mech shot forward, proppelled by the flaming blue lights on his mech. They were powerful boosters, the only thing Dero had added that wasn't a weapon or a paint job. He tapped something on a panel and flipped two more switches. The chair twisted around and gave Dero access to a room. Dero stepped onto a panel in the middle. He owned some rather new technology, allowing the user to control the mech with his body, instead of buttons and switches. It was a prototype, but Dero loved it. A visor dropped down and Dero placed it over his eyes. The view from a camera, clear as if he was using his own eyes, appeared. "Alright boys! Drop em or die!"

Lexa mummbled to herself "3...2...1....times up" he hand slammed on the button fireing a volley of armour piercing missels. A cloud of smoke covered the enemies as she struck up her gunship for a close quarters fight.

"Move it or lose it Dero!" she chimed in back to him.

Two of the mech had been blown to bits,, but the other 10 were now in attack formation and closeing the gap between them quickly.

"Easy prey...nothing special about them." she sighed sending another stream of fire down. "Just really far from home...too bad".

Dero laughed. "Come on now, you got a head start!" Reaper raised it's mechanical arm and fired machine rounds into the front of the fray. Another two mechs fell, but were still online, only having their legs taken out. The mechs were closing in a little to quickly, so the other arms started to deconstruct. From it came huge staff. On the top part, a mallet head unfolded, and sparks shot up and down the weapon. Both hands of the mech folded around the weapon and prepared for some serious close quarters.

Lexa smirked "First you complain that i am not helping...then you complain that i started without you....complain, complain, complain!!" She frowned firing missels at the two down mechs. "and i am not your clean up crew!!! So dont expect me to do that again." she shouted to Dero.

The gunship buzzing overhead. " Eight more...." She smirked heating up a lazer beam shot. "Make that five..."

The lazer cut across the plain, slicing three mechs in half and causeing an explosion. Two mechs surrounded Dero, and the other three were now firing up at Lexa as she flew defensivly.

Reaper swung the mallet. One of the mechs now owned a large hole, where its head had been. Dero chuckled. "Hey, Im just saying its not FAIR..." The mallet collided with a beam sword the other mech was equiped with, this was instantly shortcuited by the EMP in the mallet, and it continued into the mech's chest, causing a nice little explosion. Reaper turned to the other three trying to get at Lexa. A large cannon started to unfold from the mech's shoulder, aiming at one of the mechs attacking Lexa. "Bye bye!" The skull covering the barrel split open and another blue light cut into the two of the mechs. "Whoops. Meant to leave the other two for you. Hehe, sorry!" The cannon folded back and the mallet started to deconstruct.

Lexa shot the last mech, annoyed at Dero "If i need help I would have asked!!" she shouted through the com. She circled around the battle field twice before coming to a landing near Dero's mech, satisfied that the threat was over and done with.

She sighed and open the top bay door to her gunship and jumped up on top to look at the damage with her own eyes.
