One cannot train in the ways of spilling blood without partaking in the act.

Bane Ussth Avararn

Bane swatted the blade away with the flat of his own. He stepped aside as he did allowing her own momentum to carry her past him. He laughed loudly and smiled under his hood. She was the princess! How lucky he was today, he now had a decision to make. Would she be a prisoner or just another dead body to fill the new legion of undead soldiers he was brewing up.

"You are the princess? It is good to finally meet you, I am Lord Bane. Prince and soon to be King of the Unseelie court."

Bane gripped his sword tight and glared at her. She was pretty for a Seelie, but she would die, sooner or later. Here or in the dungeon. It mattered not, he would have the satisfaction of knowing he took her from the Seelie court. That he ended the life of another of there ilk.

Ember walked on, the humming slowly came to a stop as she began to hear voices. Her head tilted up, as if trying to find the exact location of the noises. Another voice echoed passed her as she giggled happily. They were only a little further, Ember was starting to get a bit excited. Her pace began to pick up as she grew closer, till she then came to a stop. The voices seemed close, only a fair bit of meters off. They were probably in eye sight by now. Her smile turned into a grin as she spoke aloud to herself.

"Stained with thine blood of light, the dark one is." She spoke as she turned to look at her left, as if there was an invisible companion next to her. She stood frozen, as if listening to someone. Her grin fell the a straight face for a few minutes before her smile returned, nodding at nothing she looked in front of her again, not that she could see anything.

"Yes, blood art flow, but death shall not ensue." She spoke in a whisper to herself. She sat down in the white snow, her black robes began to dampen lightly from the snow melting beneath her bottom. Ember had no intention of going in the middle of the fight, but the conflict would entertain her for the time being.

[Thanks and no worries.]

Sileen grunted as her strike was swatted away. Her momentum took her past him and she landed hard on the ground, pain flashing through her arm. She laid still for a moment, slowing her breathing and painfully pulling her arms in close. She attempted to push herself up but her arms shook and her muscles refused to support her. Her sharp gaze moved up to take in the man and her lip curled.
"Bane." she snarled angrily. This was the man who had caused her kingdom and family so many problems. "What, do you plan to kill me? If so, do it now."
Sileen continued to lay on the ground, her gaze flickering over to see a young girl sitting on the edge of the clearing. She frowned and blinked, shaking her head as her vision blurred and couldn't help but wonder if she was starting to see things. She was feeling so tired and silently prayed that she wouldn't lose consciousness. The princess started to regret sneaking out that night but knew she couldn't go back now. She had gone too far.

Bane looked down at her and smiled, a sudden breeze caught the hood and pulled it off his head. He twisted around and quickly pulled it back up before sheathing Durge. He had other plans for her, she could not die just yet. The princess would make a better pawn than corpse.

"You will not die, not yet at least. You are destine for greater things than dieing alone in the forest. Like bringing you court to its knees."

Bane looked up and saw the girl in the snow, she had been watching and done nothing to stop him. That was unlike most humans he had met. They would normally rush blindly to there deaths... but that was it wasn't it she WAS blind. He looked at the girls blindfold and shook his head. She would not pose a threat and as long as she didn't try to interfere she would not be injured this night.

Ember sat for a moment, the sound of the sword sheathing made her grin as she jumped to her feet. She made a small jog over in their direction, stopping only a few meters away. Seh put the staff in front of her as she leaned on it, using it as support while she relaxed in her standing position.

"Ember is pleased! Darkness wins thou encounter for tonight." She spoke, a small giggle escaping her lips as she then stood straight up, her hands releasing the wooden staff as it dropped flat to the ground. her hands clapped as she nodded her head for every clap she gave.

"Yes yes. The Spirits are pleased as well. You hold great power, yes you do oh Lord of Darkness." Ember pointed toward Bane, though she blind it was probably amazing how she able to point at him directly, almost as if she could see perfectly fine. As her hands dropped to herself, she lifted them up above her head as she began to spin like a Ballerina.

"The blood of light hath been spilled but dark shall not take light's life." She said as she came to a sudden stop, facing bane again as she put a hand to her chin, a smile appearing on her face.

"Dark wishes to take light home. Cuffs and chains await thee." She spoke, it was almost like she could read bane's mind. Ember looked to her left and then back at bane.

"The Spirits speak of thou gracefully. Thou art respected greatly in the hands of shadows." She said as she nodded to him, her hands placed on her hip as her blindfolded face gazed up to face Bane's directly.

Sileen glared up at the man, but her glare turned into a look of surprise as the wind blew his hood back. That man under the hood couldn't be Bane, the creature of darkness, could he? She frowned as he quickly hid his face and brought his hood back up. There was something about him, something strange. At his words, fury rose in her again.
"I will never help you!" she hissed. "I will die before I help you bring down my court!"
Her gaze moved to the girl as she pranced forward and she felt her breath catch. Would she be a mere prisoner, kept alive just to do Bane's wishes? Drawing as much energy as she could to herself, she pushed herself to her knees and launched a powerful blast at him, the ground crumbling in front of the wave. As the energy left her, she swayed but managed to stay on her knees.

Bane Ussth Avararn

Bane was taken aback when the strange blind girl started speaking to him. He was used to fear and awe in his presence but she was complimenting him. He was so bewildered by her that he did not have time to react to the attack launched at him by the princess. It picked him up and tossed his through the air, he smashed into a tree trunk shattering it. He landed on the ground and rolled. Luckily his hardened armor absorbed the impact and he suffered only minor bruises. He pushed the shattered remains of the tree away and stood his hood had been torn away and he glared at her.

"You have only made your stay at my home that much more unpleasant. You will regret that I swear it to you."

He did not like this, they had seen his face. He had been told he was ugly becuase he looked like a high elf. He never wanted to be seen again, that was why he wore the hood at all times. Bane glared at her his only unseelie feature was his glowing red eyes. Bane could not decide if he should hurt her now or wait till they got back to the palace. He walked over to her and raised his right hand, tendrils of darkness jumped up at the Seelie fey trying to bind her for transport.

Sileen raised her chin in satisfaction as her blast sent Bane crashing through a tree. Her eyes locked onto his face as he rose and she tried to hide the surprise that she felt. He couldn't be an Unseelie, could he? He was too, and her mind shrunk from the thought, good-looking for it. As he stalked toward her, she forced herself to straighten.
"I regret nothing." she said coldly. "And nothing you can do will make me."
The princess's eyes widened as his hand came up and the tendrils shot at her. She fell back with a surprised yelp, trying to fight them off.
"Let me go!" she exclaimed.
The tendrils wrapped around her, pinning her arms to her sides and causing her to fall onto her back. A gasp escaped her lips as more pain shot through her arm but she continued to struggle as best she could. She would not be a mere pawn for him to use. She would die first!

Bane Ussth Avararn

Bane smiled evilly as he caught her in his tendrils. She would make a very good trophy. She was different than most Seelie, she had fight in her. Not the pompous confidence her peers had, real fight. He would have her screaming her courts secrets by dawn. He would like to have her scream other things. He checked himself as soon as the thought ran through his head. She was the enemy! He had to watch himself.

"You will serve me, in life or death. That will be your decision, my liches can pull memories and information from a corpse with ease and your body will make a fine addition to my new army. Or you can be a good little princess and just help yourself."

Bane reached down with his left hand, a hand completely covered in a full arm glove then armor on top. He grabbed her by the collar and dragged her to the horse, with that one hand he tossed her onto its back. Draping her over it like a blanket, legs on one side head on the other. He took its reigns and laughed.

At Bane's threat, Sileen closed her mouth and cut off the string of insults and retorts she was going to snap at him. Instead she merely laid there, glaring at him with as much hatred as she could muster.
"I will serve you in neither life nor death." she spat.
The princess gasped as he grabbed her collar and lifted her off of the ground as if she weight nothing more than a set of armor. As she was thrown over the horse, she grunted and laid limp as she struggled to regain the breath that had been forced from her lungs. In this position, she couldn't get a good leverage on anything and her mind was too fuzzy to focus on her powers. Sileen struggled for a moment then fell still, her muscles going limp as her hair fell around her face, hiding it from view.

"KA-POW!" Ember had yelled out as Bane was hit but the large blast of light. As she yelled it out she pumped an arm in the air as if excited from the actions. A small laugh escaped her lips as a big grin crossed her lips.

"And the dark lord takes one to the chest!" She said as she spun around, almost as if she was happy they were fighting again. She stopped after Bane had reappeared near the creature of light. Ember stood still as she seemed to have been a statue for a few moments till she smiled again.

"Thou Lord of Darkness is angry, but thine shall not kill lady of the light just yet." She said to herself as she let the two continue their quarrel. She turned her head to the left as she froze again, as if trying to listen to something intently. As Bane mounted his horse she turned to face him and smiled.

"Lord of Darkness art not to take the light from M'lady." She spoke as she turned around as her back was to face them now. Ember chuckled before she continued on.

"Lady of the Light will escape, maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow, Ember does not know." She said as she spun around to face them again, as she looked at Bane.

"The Spirits speak of tragedy to surround the Lord of the Shadows." She said as she then stared at Bane blankly, almost like an owl. After a few minutes of Silence she smiled, and picked up her staff as she leaned on it.

"Ember wishes thou Luck."

Bane Ussth Avararn

Bane sat on the horse behind her, he put one hand on the small of her back to keep her steady and from rolling or falling off. He put the horse into a fast trot, not wanting to hurt her to much till they made it to the dungeon. He looked down at her on occasion, admiring her body when she was not paying attention.

"You will serve me in both."

Bane spoke calmly and confidently, like it was fact. He took her through the forest towards the Uneeslie fortress, a place no Seelie had seen and lived to tell the tell.

Sileen would have given a harsh retort to his words but once the horse started to move, she lost her breath. She squeezed her eyes shut as she tried to get a rhythm, trying to breathe in rhythm to the horse's steps. The princess dimly felt the hand on her back and a shudder went through her.
Her muscles were limp, all except for her stomach muscles as she tightened them reflexively in response to the quick trot. Glancing up, she lost her breath entirely as she saw the Unseelie fortress come into view. Every thought she had of escaping disappeared as she saw the tall fortress. Another shudder ran through her and she groaned, letting her head fall forward once again.

Bane Ussth Avararn

Bane carried her into the court year where he lifter her off the horse and placed her onto his shoulder. He had won a great victory, and yet he felt as though what he was doing was wrong. He pushed open a door that led down into the recesses of the the citadel. He entered a room with a heavy Iron door and chains that dangled from the ceiling and floor. He closed the cuffs around her wrists and ankles before he let loose the shadow bonds.

"Now, You have this one chance to tell me all you know of the Seelie castle and its defenses before we begin."

Bane had a feeling of sadness that confused him when he looked at her chained there. He had the smallest urge to not hurt her, but that was foolish. She was the enemy and he would not receive the same kindness from her people if he was ever caught.

What type of Fae are you?

A cold chill seemed to settle on Sileen as they entered the courtyard and she briefly closed her eyes. She quickly drew a breath as she was transferred from the horse to his shoulder and she felt a strong urge to start struggling and try to strike him. The only problems were that she couldn't move and her muscles felt like jelly.
Her eyes continued to move as they moved toward the cell and goosebumps rose on her skin as the shackles were clamped around her wrists and ankles. Sileen glared at Bane as he stepped back, her hands chained above her head as her ankles were connected to the floor. At his command, she spat at his boots.
"Forget it." she snapped. "I won't tell you anything."
Dread filled her at the thought of what he would do to her, but she had to remain strong. She couldn't let her kingdom fall because she was weak. The princess would not give in to his demands, not even in death.
