She stood and watched the mans efforts to get the attention of the plane that had made its long journey here. She blinked and she felt the earth sigh, the relief that flooded through was not her own and she smiled, her eyes bright and her smooth shoulders unhunched and her head held high. No longer did she feel burdened, heavy, sickly, or dieing. She breathed in through her nose, the air, particle by precious particle becoming more and more pure. The earth should have done this long ago, she thinks to herself.

Standing up top her high and rather precarious perch, she streches her slender arms above her head and marveled at the small breath of warmth that blew past along with the wind. Once again she turned her gold-brown eyes to one of the few chosen to live on, she saw that he went back inside the large brown brick structure where two others were sleeping. She knew that two of their group were off near the air strip that had once housed many high class air ships and planes. And she knew that they were just meeting another lucky chosen, and were soon to return to those left in the small apartment housing building.

Turning on her heel she dipped down the jagged face of the ruins of the once tall capital, a Cathedral's cross had stabbed it through and turning into a political and catholic sandwitch of rubble. Upon disappearing, she re-appeared but a second later in the sun near the alley by the apartment building, her eyes resting with mild interest on the many shattered windows and broken glass, a slight smile resting peacefully on her face.
[No worries. I just wish the others would appear again to post. Maybe your character could come across the apartment, as mine's already inside, sitting there, and waiting for the others.]
Xiao pretended to sleep through Hana's Question, giving out a louder-than-necessary snore, as he leaned back against her. When they pulled up next to the plane, Xiao eyed the rifle. He didn't think that the man would open fire on them since they were all in this kind of situation, but he was weary of it anyways. Even if he was trained in the martial arts, stopping bullets barehanded would be an impossibility for him. At most, all he could do is disarm the man, but he decided to give the pilot a chance of first impression before doing anything hasty.

Quietly, he sat on the end of the bike, as Hana conversed with the man.

((My character Hana is still waiting for deadblindmind soooo....All I can do is use Natalie.))

Natalie, still looking at the apartment building, sensed something living not far from her. It was a small thing with a timid nature and is full of fear. All of this she could tell, for she felt it as her own; sympathy moving her forward she began to search the cars.

With the now bright shining light from the sun filtering through the scattered fluffy puff of clouds, Natalie came across a small broken blue bug of a car, pinned between a material truck and a BMW, upon looking through the dusty cracked window she spies a small, red-brown, skinny tabby cat curled up on the back seat. Its breathing quick and shallow, and its tail and paws twitched and shuddered in the dream that ran through its small mind.

Openning the folded door, which crumbled in her hands, she gingerly reached in and scooped up the small brown tabby in her cupped hands. It woke in her hands and mewed confusedly, Natalie cooed and spoke soothingly as she held the cat against her heart and petted its ruffled fur with calming strokes. It calmed down next to her living warmth, but still continued to mew distressingly, its sharp little claws slightly scratched her skin but Natalie still smiled.

Knowing what the cat needed, Natalie shrugged it up on her shoulder where it burried its face in her brown hair, feeling a motherly love for the small kitten she gracefully entered the apartment building and stepped lighlty up the stairs to the second floor where she passed the door that held the three lucky chosen, she glanced inside and noticed the male sitting rather dejectedly in a recliner chair.

She smiled at him as she passed and continued down the hall, four doors down she turned to the right and turned the knob, she knew it was unlocked and she stepped inside. Walking without hesitation she found the kitchen and chose the correct cabinet and pulled out a small bag of cat food. She set the tabby on the counter, it meowed longling as she opened the bag and poured a handful on the counter next to the cat. She watched with loving eyes as the cat dug into the food with vigor.
Leon heard some footsteps in the hall. But he figured it was just his imagination: he hadn't heard the bike pull up, and it was only one set. He glanced out the door, and for a moment, saw a woman smiling back at him.
Without thinking, he smiled at her, looking away. Then he jumped in bewilderment. There was another survivor.
He got up quickly and went to the kitchen, finding a rather decent sized knife. He jammed it into his belt, and left the apartment, seeing the woman just ahead of him disappear around a corner. He followed, quietly, not knowing what she was like.
If she was hostile, best not to alert her and possibly get himself injured.

Natalie's eye-brows raised as she could hear the man from the chair sneak up behind her, her smile grew as she chuckled inwardly as she remembered the smile he had reflexively returned. Purposely ignoring him she rested her elbows on the counter and rested her chin in the palm of her hand, looking down at her newfound kitten.

She ran her hand through the cats fur, it arching its back and purring through smacking teeth in response. "What are you gonna do?" she asked aloud, whether to the cat or to the man no one could tell. The cat finished its meal licking its lips and whiskers and purring like a chain saw. Natalie gently picked it back up again and rested it against her shoulder, petting it and cooing, the cat mewing contentedly until and fell asleep with its furry face pressed against her neck.

Natalie turned around and leaned her back against the counter, feet crossed she looked directly at the man, "Well?" she asked, still waiting, "What are you going to do?" She nodded her head to the knife he and shuved into the belt around his waist. "Do you honestly think I would bring you harm?" her voice hinted that she was offended and slightly amused at the prospect of her being violent.

But then her smile turned quizical as she tilted her head in a thoughtful way, I can be violent, she thought, thinking back to when she lost her control when a couple of men lit a helpless dog on fire one day. After she was finished with them they were put into an insane asylum due to the 'hallucinations' that claimed they saw. She smoothly shrugged her shoulders, careful not to wake the slepping kitten and beamed a smile at the man, "Smart."
"I-" Leon started as she turned. His voice caught in his throat for a moment. "Zee s'ing is, I do not know what I am going to do." he admitted, looking down, embarrassed. He shook his head quickly.
"Non, I do not s'ink you would...it's just...cannot be too careful, eh?" he said, chuckling and grinning sheepishly as he looked up at her.
She was quite beautiful...he wondered how she managed to stay that way. No offence to the girls, but they all appeared dusty, slightly battered, and generally in a state of disrepair. So did he. But Natalie...not so much.
There was also something about her, something strange...he couldn't tell what.
"Pardon?" he asked, hearing her say the word smart. He didn't understand what she meant by that.

She waved away the question with a flick of her hand, "Oh nothing...just thinking to myself," she said with a small laugh. Pushing away from the counter she stepped forward and looked at the poor scruffed up man. His clothes tattered and covered in dust, a look of dull hopelessness in his exspression, her eyes turned sympathetic.

Lightly lifting the cat from her shoulder she placed it in his hands, "Here, hold her till I come back." With that she left him and entered a different room, a second later she was standing next to him holding some black pants along with a clean white shirt. She replaced the cat with the clothes in his hands.

"The water is working in the bathroom," she said gesturing with a jerk of her chin towards a closed door on the right wall of the apartment room. "Go clean up and while you're in there you can think about what you are going to do. You'll feel better once you do." Cuddling the still sleeping kitten she walked over to a large chair and sat down with the cat in her lap.

Pausing for a slight moment, feeling that he needed reassurance she said with light tone, "Don't worry, those two will be coming back and with a new friend. Soon after that you will be in a different and better place." And by then, she thought, you will understand what you must do...hopefully at least.
Leon looked at the cat, smiling when it looked up at him. At least this poor little guy had survived. He scratched it behind the ears while he waited.
He looked at the clothes she got for him. He was unsure if they'd fit, but who was he to deny her? He thanked her, mulling over what she told him as he walked off toward the bathroom. He looked over when he reached the door.
"Can I ask you a few s'ings first?" he asked quietly, looking right at her while he waited for an answer. There was something about what she said...how did she know there were two others? And what was this about a new friend?
And who was she?

She looked up at him and smiled and it reached her oddly colored eyes, "If it is the right questions..." she said choosing her words carefully, "Then yes. You may ask." She looked down as the cat mewed slightly and shifted into a more comfortable position in her lap.

((Bleh short post, I was trying to keep it long for Natalie but I kind of ran out of words for this one xP))
This woman had such a strange way of speaking, Leon stared for a moment before speaking.
"For one...'ow do you know all of zis? And...'oo are you?" he asked, sincerely interested. She came out of nowhere, made barely a sound when she walked, and spoke in a soft, sweet tone, with a weird wording.
Of course he was curious as to who she was.

Natalie looked at him and took a deep breath through her delicate nose. She paused for a moment, thinking to herself about what was okay to say and what was not. She smiled at his curiousity and folded her hands on her knees. I could tell him, she thought, but I don't think he would know what to do with the knowledge.

"You can call me Natalie," she said at first and paused again in thought. Another moment passes as she watches the dust the drifted in the shafts of light beaming in through the cracked window. She then turned back to him and shrugged slightly.

"I've been watching simply...you can learn a lot just by observing." she said her eyes wondering about the room as if she just realized where she was. Her eyes lingered on the window until she gazed back at him. "If that's all the questions you have...?" she said raising her eye-brows at him as if expecting him to say more.
Leon nodded, taking in what she said. The way she talked made him listen attentively. He nodded. "Merci, that is all." he said, bowing his head politely before heading off to the bathroom.
When he arrived, he striped quickly and climbed into the shower, turning it to a warm setting. He felt rejuvenated as the first drops hit him, and he sighed deeply, resting his head on the cold tile as the dirt, dust, and grime washed off of his body, down the drain.
Despite the calm, he couldn't figure out what he was going to do. Besides the bunker Hana had suggested, there was really nothing to do...except repopulate the world. But first, they'd have to find a safe heaven, food, shelter, water, and then they could maybe think of that.
He stepped out and towelled himself off, dressing quickly. He stepped out of the bathroom, pulling the edge of his shirt down before he walked into the same room as Natalie.

She nodded to him as he left, after a few moments had passed she lifted the kitten from her lap and set gently on the chair, its fuzzy ears twitching in the cutest way. Moving toward the window she leaned forward and pressed her forehead up against the top of the windows frame.

She closed her eyes and put her hand up on the glass on the cracks that zigzagged its way throughout its plane. Bathing herself in the sunlight she ran the tip of her finger along with the pattern of the cracks, and one by one, the cracks slowly dissappeared, refusing and forming back to their original state.

She heard the water stop and then heard him come out but she did not turn away from the window, her hand resting gently across the now perfect glass. She idley wondered if he'd notice the difference, but she just smiled and said without turning, "How do you feel?"
