~*Carnival in the Sky*~ (OPEN AND WELCOME!! Need guests <3)

Lilly happily took the cup and gulped it down. She was rather thirsty for some reason. Soon the show was over and the crowed started to file out. Getting there last goodies outside. Lilly stepped outside for a moment into the cool night air. The sky starting to grow light on the horizon yet it was still dark. Her ears twitched a bit and she shuttered, as an odd filling came over her.

Sky found Kota sitting in a corner. He appeared to be in a trance, either meditating or in deep thought. Regardless, Sky was tired and she wanted to get some sleep. It'll be sunrise soon.

"Koo~Taa~!" She shook the boy, much more violently than necessary, to stir him.

Kota muttered, then woke with a start. He jolted up. He looked around bewildered for a moment then focused on Sky. "What... What..." He still wasn't able to form complete sentences and keep his eyes open at the same time.

"Wake up lazy a**. Daylight's going to break soon. The horizon is showing light."

Together, the twins stepped out into the crisp air. Soon, the lights will shut off, the music will stop, and it will be quiet once more. If there was ever anytime that the carnival didn't feel right to them, it was when the carnival is shut down for the days. It always feels so lonely when the big Ferris wheel wasn't turning, and the music from the carousel was not heard. Sky and Kota never fail to be saddened when the carnival closes.

Lilly yawned she was always surprised at how quickly the night goes. She really did hate the silence, she had grown use to the racket of the carnival, silence made her sleepy. Which was good since sleep was what she would be doing. She headed back towards her tent. She then paused and headed around back to look off the edge into the fog. She wondered about what was beyond there...maybe thats where her memories of before could be found. Her head started to hurt so she rubbed her temples and headed into her tent and crashed out on her bed.
(I think Ill end here for tonight. Helix is already in bed reading so Ima assume hes done as well. Well be on tomorrow.))

Mariel walked out of the fog in an almost trance like state. She looked at the carnival ahead of her when a feeling of dread swept over her. Turning round quickly she saw that the ladder, the treetops, everything was just gone. Facing the carnival again her heart thumped as she started to hum a tune. Apart from her humming the place was deathly quiet. Mariel wrapped her arms around her small waist and walked as quietly as she could although she was unsure why. For a moment she thought she heard whisperings and a breeze whipped round behind her. This time she daren't turn around in case she actually saw something. Instead she kept humming that nagging tune to herself.

Lilly awoke in a cold sweat, which was odd since the dream she was having consisted of fire. She shook the thought out of her head and rose out of bed. She felt groggier then usual and preformed her stretches for the night. She could hear the music already starting as the carnival started up for the night. She headed out to the front where a girl was stading. A real girl, not a god or a monster. Lilly bounded over to her gleefuly. "WELCOME WELCOME!!" her ferret ears twitched upon her head. She took an awkward stance on one toe and reached out a hand to the girl.

Suddenly Mariel stopped humming as the tune that she'd had in her head seemingly started to play itself. It took a moment before she realised the carnival was waking. Unsure of what to do she made her way past tents of every colour. Rides started, tombolos rolled and carnival folk of all sorts started to take their positions. How had she known that song? Her thoughts were abruptly interupted by a hyper active ferret type girl. Not wanting to be rude she shook the girl's hand and offered a small smile. Her eyes wandered to the grounds and a nearby corndog stand. "i don't understand this..."

Lilly grinned pulling back her hand. "that is ok we are not ones to be understood..."she titled her head. "perhaps that is why we are here!" she threw her arms out. She pointed her finger at the girl almost touching the tip of her nose. "now the question to ask...why are you here??" without giving her time to answer she turned around and started walking, expecting the girl to fallow. "my name is Lilly I can show you around if you wish!" her ferret tail twitch excitedly. It had been a while since they had had a guest of this sort. Perhaps she would stay and play with them forever.

"I've been here before!" Mariel was unsure why she had blurted this out so defiantly and stood her ground but she was pretty sure it was true although it seemed impossible. Embarassed by the outburst she ran a hand through her hair. "sorry..." she smiled once more, trying to be as genuine as possible. "a tour would be lovely Lilly ......it would be lovely" Unsure now of whether to elaborate or cover the outburst, Mariel conceded to a tour of the grounds. She didn't remember it all that well anyway - it was just fragments in her head that she only remembered as she saw them. Mariel caught herself about to bite her lip and refrained knowing it would show her confused and unstable state right now.

Lilly stared at the girl. That was impossible. The only way she could have been here before is if she found the way out..but it was impossible to return once you left...unless you were a spirit. And she did not look anything like one. Lilly shook her head maybe the girl had drempt it...that seemed logical, she was sure the ring master could influence peoples dreams...since he was the one who brought them here. Lilly nodded and headed around the carnival. Suddenly the other guests started to arrive. (read the other guest description in big blue letters on the first page their the gods and spirits that visit here.))

Mariel followed Lily and even when the other creatures appeared she knew this happened every night. It did not however stop her from fearing this creatures and gods. "why are they here?" the question was directed at Lily but sort of just drifted. Mariel had stopped in her tracks once more without noticing. She couldn't take her eyes off the scene but neither did she want to move any closer to these things.

Lilly glanced back at the girl. "there here for...entertainment" she said with a sly grin. Suddenly a huge crowed of "people" pushed by Mariel and in an instant Lilly had dissapeared into the crowed and Mariel was left alone.

Within an instant Lily was gone. Mariel tried to call out for her but it was no use. Not knowing what else to do, Mariel followed the crowd. She felt she could do with some entertainment right now. Hugging herself tightly again, she kept a safe distance from the other guests as she followed them to what she assumed would be the main attraction or show. Wondering if she would see Lily again, Mariel reassured herself that everything would be ok. After all if she'd been here before then it couldn't be anything that bad...right?

The crowed musled its way into the large tent in the middle of the carnival, loud music was playing. The center of it was dark but the seats where lit up so people could find a place to sit.
