▶▷ Mio smiled."They probably forgot. Knowing my brother he always forgets things." Mio said with a grin, then she looked at Ella. "Maybe they have a soccer field?"

▶▷ Devin pondered that for a moment. A lot of the things he listed sounded fun, so it was fine with him. "Those all sound awesome, especially cliff diving. Devin then nodded at their question, Then Devin rolled his eyes. Girls really liked that stuff? "I guess I'll just tag along." Devin said with a shrug and another big goofy grin.

Ella smiled at Mio. "That would be so cool. This is like. So awesome. Way better than living at my evil parents house. They hate us you know. Thats why we ran awa....whoops. I mean.. Uhh.. never mind," she said looking down.

Ethan and Ray smiled at Devin. They quickly went over to the main desk and signed themselves in as roommates with Devin. Then they started walking back towards their cabin. "So. What do you like to do," Ray asked Devin.

▶▷ Mio stopped walking and looked at Ella. Mio then quickly ran ahead of Ella, and stopped in front of her, and put her hands on the girl's shoulders.."I was going to say, after soccer wwe could hang out with the guys. But Tell me what happened first?" Mio then lowered her voice to a whisper, because if anyone heard, they might tell on Ella, and her brothers. "Tell...tell me why you ran away?" Mio asked, trying to give her a hopeful smile.

▶▷ Devin scratched the back of his neck. "Paintballing, swimming, Soccer, chilling. Basic dude stuff. Devin answered as he opened the cabin door. "Well, I have stuff. . . and I call this bed!" Devin said jumping onto a open one, before snuggling into the mattress.Good thing these were clean or he'd never do this.

Ella froze as Mio asked her the question that she wasn't supposed to answer. What would ray say? She looked around and made sure that nobody was around. "Would you mind if we went to the cabin first," she asked.

Ethan and Ray looked around the cabin in awe. "Wow. This is amazing," Ethan said grinning.

▶▷ Mio nodded. Mio then spotted the cabin as they walked, and when they reach it,she walked in, face stricken with astonishment, then she looked at Ella. "Go ahead, El."

▶▷ Devin nodded with a smile "Isn't it? Although there isn't much to do. We need something fun to do!

Ella shook as she told Mio thats her father had killed their mother. And how he abused her brothers and hurt her in many different ways. She told her how they ran away and stumbled upon this camp. She told her how their father probually had the police looking for them as they speak. Ella didn't realize that she was crying until she was done. She looked at Mio. "You probably don't want to be my roommate anymore do you," she asked softly.

Ethan grinned at Devin. "I know right. I'm full of energy. Wanna go to the lake," he asked.

▶▷ Mio tried to keep her from shaking, but it was so scary to know that people were out there doing this kind of stuff to children and family.. She wanted to cry with her. "No, of course I do!" Mio said, shocked that she would say that.

▶▷ Devin blinked for a moment, thinking. The lake? sounded fun for a noon swim. "Yeah. Lets go! Devin nodded with an eager smile, before looking at Ray. "Coming, Ray? " Devin asked.

Ella smiled at Mio. "Thank You so much for understanding," she said hugging her.

Ray looked at Devin and grinned. "Oh yeah. Last one to the Lake's a rotten egg," he yelled running out the door with Ethan right behind him.

Max took in three deep breaths, trying as hard as he could to store up as much air as possible and then dove underneath following Sin now that she'd gotten ahead of him. He cruised along next to her, his powerful legs giving him the strength to keep up with the graceful heavenly body in front of him. He tried hard not to stare at her butt and focus instead on the interior of the cave. It was actually rather shallow perhaps only six feet into the wall of the lake. Max clicked his flashlight on, the LED beam cutting the inky darkness of the water and plant life that surrounded the bottom of cavern.

To his amazement Max actually saw something. There it was, almost covered by overgrowth, a small wooden box laced with iron supports. The iron had been rusted through long ago and it appeared to have half sunken into the mud. Max tapped Sin on her shoulder and pointed to it. He could already feel his lungs burning with a need for air and he hoped she could still help him drag it to the surface. He swam to one side of the thing, brace himself to push off the surface and waited for Sin to make the push that would take them to the shore.

▶▷ Mio smiled, and hugged Ella back."It's fine, although I can relate. My mom died around the age of 4. . ." Mio sadly smiled, but then she looked at Ella, and then smiled slightly. "It's good to know there are other people out there, that feel the same way you do. But lets stop sulking ins sadness, and get out to that lake! Yeaah!" Then Mio looked at Ella, asking her if she wanted to go. Mio wanted to go because there were lots of people there, and so was Devin.

▶▷ Devin then tried running after them, smirking to himself. He was taking his shirt off in the process. Then he looked up to see Ray in the lead. "No way, you guys cheated!" Devin said with a grin, as he jumped into the lake behind them.

Nova looked at Lilly in awe that she would tell her secrets. Nova nodded and smiled slightly. "You don't have to do that Lilly" . She picked up her book of. "If you don't want to that is" She put it in the bag and thought with a groan, 'If I can't keep this a secret from the others I'm dead!Even though she thought that somewhere she knew that she wouldn't be. That it was her mother's shame of what her daughter was that made Nova believe she was a monster.

Sinsyria blinked and smiled when she saw the chest then remembered that a tap on the shoulder meant he needed air so she quickly went to pull both the chest and Max out, reaching the surface and smiling, taking a breath Hahah...you...ok? she asked as she looked at him

Max broke through the surface and sucked in a huge lung full of air, it tasted so sweet. However it paled in comparison to the taste of triumph at getting the box off the surface. Who knew they would actually find something down there? He looked over at Sin, his face filled with elation and he nodded as he coughed a bit.

"Yeah. . . Help me get this thing to shore" he said.

He swam with her over to the shore of the lake, taking note that more people had started to show up now that the day was getting underway. Once on land he helped Sin lug the small, yet deceptively heavy box, onto the grass and then took a moment to marvel at it.

"Wow. This is just out of this world. I mean who thought we might actually find something worth looking into right?" He said, looking to his companion as though he expected her to just have all the answers concerning the camp's history. "You wouldn't really happen to know why something might have been abandoned on the bottom of the lake would you?"

His tentatively knelt down closer to the container, he was still dripping wet but the water felt cool against the late morning sun. All of his senses were heightened at the joy of what they might have stumbled upon. He looked up to Sin and gave her look like, here-goes-nothing, and pushed open the lid. Inside was a massive wooden tiki style mask. The androgynous face was frozen in an expression between anger and surprise with round yellow eyes staring unblinkingly toward them and a mouth carved into a perfect oval shape and rows of jagged and misshapen teeth running along the inside. Strange symbols further baffled Max as he noticed them carved all over the forehead and cheek regions. His eyes went wide but his mouth remained in that same excited grin, this was going to be wild.

Sinsyria smiled and unfolded her ears as she stared at the mask, shaking her head to get her ears dry Well...there did used to be an old tribe that lived here....maybe that's who...left this... she stared at the mask, seeming mesmorized as she reached out to trace the carvings on it

Lilly shook her head. "I know your secret, so it's only fair... plus, if we know each other's secret, we can help each other. I'll help you keep yours, and you'll help me keep mine!"

Although Lilly had few doubts in her mind by now, she still wondered why she was putting so much blind faith in Nova. Perhaps because she could relate to her on some level, or felt that she owed her something as a token of trust. After all, despite the short time the knew each other, Nova seemed very loyal.

"Trust me..." said Lilly. "Just don't tell anyone, okay?"
