He winked at him as he pulled his tight body suit back on, adjusting his coat and flipping his bo staff right back in his coat pocket. "Oui, but he is a teacher. Prof. X help othah mutants like you an' me, ma petit."
He allowed himself another small smile. "Maybe he c'n'elp me wi'th'whole..." He glanced at the crisp bedding. "Well, leh's go then." He moved out of the room quickly, down the hall to the street.

Already Gambit was down on the street, leaning against the building. As the boy gave him a bewildered look, he could only smile. "Now den cher. You wanna go now?"
Jean gritted his teeth and stomped passed Gambit. "Friggin crawdad sucker..." He went on mumbling incoherently as the man overtook him and went on in front. He glanced at the man's flapping coat, at his deep pockets. "Whachya got in their an'way? Mean, didn' lay like a wallet when y'took it off. Too..." He waved his hand. "Too...wavy."

Gambit reached in and quickly pulled out his full 52 deck, flipping them skillfully and easily around his body. "Dis is Gambit's greatest weapon. He show you..."

He turned and smiled, charging one card in front of the boy, the entire card becoming a light pinkish color. He flitted the card over to a trash can, and a few second later it burst, completely eradicating the object.
A slow, semi-maniacal grin spread over the small thief's face as he fumbled over and pulled a card out of the deck. "I gotta try tha'..." He looked at the card, furrowing his brow as he focused on it, drawing that blow-up feeling into his fingers. Now jus' throw i--

"HEY, CAJUN!" He jumped, the card bursting into flames.

"Merde! Merde!" the boy sputtered instinctively, stamping on the card with his palms. He flapped his singed fingers, glancing dejectedly between the charred Ace of Spades toward its owner, leaning away slightly as a man with an extremely stupid looking haircut and a face only a bull dog could love strode up. Neither of them looked too happy to see each other, or him at that moment, it seemed.

The Cajun rolled his eyes as the furry Canadian made his way over, his eyes becoming slits as he looked down at the shorter man. "Oui, mon ami? What Gambit do for you?"

He ground his teeth slightly, eyes glancing over at Jean ever so often. He blinked and realized the boy had hurt himself. He frantically checked his hand, moving his nimble fingers over each hand. "You OK, cher?"
"Professor sent me to get you. Wondered what was takin ya so long." The man made a face--what expression it was supposed to be only metal-boned mutant's muscles could tell--and continued, "Not that he'd need to." He glanced at Jean and made an obvious sneer at Gambit's gesture. "Aw, did th'baby hurt itself?"

Jean's eyes widened, then turned an odd amber as he lunged forward, fists lashing at the other mutant as Gambit moved quickly and jerked him back. "GIT OVAH HEAH Y'HALF-BALLED SHORT-a** EH-SAYAH! I AIN'T SCARED'A'YEW'N'YER--" He snarled as the Cajun's hand clamped over his mouth.

Gambit groaned, doing his best to stifle the boy. "Geez, cher, calm down, oui? Logan, we be headin' back now, so everyting is OK." He did his best to use his charm to calm either of the men down.
Logan rolled his eyes. "Meh. Whatever." He turned and moved off down the street, glancing back to growl at Jean. The thief returned the snarl as best he could. Ah'm gonna take 'im. When Ah c'n. 'n' Ah'll feed 'im 'is face through 'is a**. He relaxed some as the short man left, glancing down at the half-folded card in his fist as they continued on to the mansion.

"Sorreh." He held up the Ace. " 'Bout tha'. Didn' mean ta..." He glanced up at the wheelchaired man at the door with a white-haired, dark skinned woman, but ignored them for the moment.

Gambit gestured to Storm and Xavier, smiling as he held out his hand to the boy. "C'mere, cher. Gambit wanna introduce you ta some special people, oui?"

As he lead the boy closer, he smiled up at Ororo, who in turn hugged him and smiled back. "Remy, it's good to see you back again. And this boy, he is Jean?"

Ororo leaned down, smiling and gesturing for the boy to come inside. "Jean, it's a pleasure to meet you. Here, you'll be safe, if you'd like to stay."
The boy bit his lip as he passed over the threshold into the mansion. "Honest, not very safe an'where f'me...ma'am," he added slowly. She felt like a ma'am. He glanced up toward the ceiling and the stairway, turning his head to catch sight of everything. Jean turned as the man in the wheelchair rolled up to him. " 'Ey! You're tha' bald guy tha'was talkin in mah head!" He narrowed his eyes. "You been spyin' 'gin?"

The Professor gave a warm smile as he wheeled next to him. "Forgive my rudeness, lad. I'm Charles Xavier. This mansion was made by me in order to nurture young mutants, such as yourself, and train them to use their powers in a manner that benefits both man and mutantkind."

He gently lead the boy to a small library, other mutants in there reading and talking. "We won't force you to do anything you wouldn't, my boy, but I hope you would like to stay and better understand yourself."

Gambit smiled and leaned against the doorway, watching Jeannie all the while. Ororo noticed the rather heated gaze, smiling to herself.
Jeannie froze as almost all the eyes turned on him. Except the guy with the shades. He couldn't tell what his eyes were doing. A few started moving up to him, including the short-a** man from before. He backed up quickly behind Gambit, barely containing the urge to turn and run as fast as possible out the door.

The guy with the shades moved over to where he was huddled behind the Cajun, sticking out his hand. "I'm Cyclops." Jean looked him up and down. He almost smelled of money.

"Y'don' look like y'got one eye," he mumbled in return, letting the hand hang in the air unreceived as he continued try to calm himself with little improvement. Part of the floor burst into shards of linoleum. He ducked further behind Remy. "Sorreh. Jus...ya'll quit lookin' a'me?!" One of the girls laughed. She didn't look much older than him. Well, tha's slightly reassurin.

Gambit chuckled and gently pat the boy on his head. "Don' worry none, cher. Dese people won' hurt you, petit." He used some of his charm to try and calm the boy. As he did, Jean Grey moved next to Gambit and smiled gently down at Jeannie. With a bit of mental persuasion she attempted to ease his mind and soothe him slightly.

"Hello there, Jean. I'm, also, Jean. Jean Grey. It's a pleasure to met you. I hope you do intend to stay here."
