The Airship "Nevaeh" was home to quite a few people. People who wanted to make a living or to get away from a previous way of life. Cutthroats, the lot of them. "Sky Pirates" they are called, though most are Humble and Noble. Recently Nevaeh was raided by a group of bandits.. loosing several good hardy men and women in the process. But the crew who lived through it still stand tall. They're proud to defend their ship. To defend their family.

Their very world.

About Nevaeh.

This is important posting information. I tried to make it as interesting as possible, so please read it all.

With a led zeppelin to keep her afloat, Nevaeh's gotta be one of the most ornate most beautiful ships around. Well, for being old and raided a hundred times over that is. It is said that her rims were made of gold, ship deck and sternum of the best wood around back in the day.

The Captain claims that she's the prettiest in the skies. Everyone is proud of old Nevaeh.. even if things tend to fall off from time to time, pummeling down to whatever ground form may be below her. Nevaeh is old and rusty, but she's lively and beautiful, though she retaliates when it's least predictable.
She has a spear at her front and a big propeller, one blade as tall as fifteen men all standing foot to shoulder.. and there's four blades all around. Deep faded red lights guide her way through the darkness or through harsh clouds. One in front, one in back.. and one on top to keep her afloat.

The zeppelin is surrounded by a metal cage, coated in gold to make it look pretty. Adorned on the cage are ropes and bolts, and big gears attached to various equipment to keep her running. The flag also hangs here, from ornate metal arms that look somewhat like elegant tentacles, flowers depicted decoratively on the surface of the metal. The flag itself is woven with shining golden colored thread, a white sun is in the center, with a scimitar crossing slantwise over it, Showing that the crew will protect their Nevaeh, their Heaven, as long as they have air in their lungs. Nevaeh's crew itself came together one stormy day, and created the beautiful flag to match their hearts and the color of their beloved ship.

Below the ship deck are wings, they look like that of a Bat except that they're golden colored. Made of aluminum alloy, they keep the ship afloat when the zeppelin doesn't. They also are ornate and pretty with carved in and gold painted flowers. Propellers line the bottom of the ship as an extra leverage, but they are old and barely used.. one fell off during the previous raid, crashing into the Atlantic ocean below them.

The ship has windows all along the second floor, where cannons lie in wait and watch those passing by with suspicious eyes. Even the cannons are proud of the ship. Though inanimate, though they cannot think for themselves, they are more then happy to protect her to any extent. All the canons have been painted white, instead of black, and the Captain demands that they be regularly clean so to keep their pretty color.

The Captain runs the ship and everyone on it. He loves her like he would his own daughter, though he has none. The Captain keeps order and makes sure to set everyone straight. Even if he knows the crew will get angry with him for his decisions, everything he has them do is for a reason.. whether the reason is legitimate or completely ridiculous is always hard to tell.

The First Mate:

The First Mate is the one trusted most by the captain. He/She runs the ship when the Captain is away or otherwise busy. He entrusts the First Mate with tasks like no other, He's even gone so far as to asking if assassination was a possibility for the First Mate in the way of duties. As well as a part-time Captain, the First Mate is a scout.. does research and figures things out if the Captain has not the time to.

The Engineer:

The Engineer keeps the motors pumping in the wings, makes sure the ship is on track, is always aware of which way the wind blows and how they need to be facing it. Though he/she is not a Navigator, he/she knows the basics it. The Engineer is always in touch with the Captain, and always knows what is wrong with the ship. The Engineer is also a strategist, can work out plans on a whim and present courses of actions as quickly as need be. The Captain always looks to him/her in this area if he needs help with figuring how to go about certain things.

The Mechanic:

The Mechanic is a grease monkey with a large imagination. Always working on something, building something.. maybe fixing the ship. He/she has his/her tools with him/her at all times, always ready to poke around where it may or may not be needed. The Mechanic seems to be almost obsessed with creating machines, some of the smaller ones can be seen around the ship.. moving or not moving, it doesn't matter. They are there, and the Mechanic has the brains to create them, though his/her brains may possibly be that of a psychopath.. obsessed with gears and pulleys and different tiny little bits of metal and water for steam or wires for electricity..

The Doctor:

The Doctor is one of the most respectable people on the ship, though charged with the task of taking care of every little (or large) cut and bruise or broken bone presented in front of her. She went to a private medical school at the whim of her parents for a few years before coming aboard Nevaeh. He/She is like a walking textbook. You might call her a "Mad Scientist", if only is wasn't for that she is completely sane. Maybe even the sanest of them all?

The Tactical Expert:

the Tactical Expert manages weapons and fear, pairs up with the Engineer when the Captain demands ideas or courses of action. He/She gets in many fights with the Captain about which way to go or how to attack or what to do and so on, but that's quite unsurprising. The Captain trusts the Tactical Expert the least because of the strange form of knowledge he/she possesses (that of weaponry and battle strategies), but holds him/her in very high respect.

The Fighter:

The Fighter is on Nevaeh for his own reasons, but protects her as he would protect himself. For victory and for pride this person fights, all for the beloved ship he/she walks upon, and all for his Captain's orders. The Fighter is often looked to for help in designing new weapons for the crew when the Tactical Expert and Mechanic have enough time to work together with him/her, which happens often because most of the days on Nevaeh are long and somewhat boring. The Fighter is also looked to for simple tasks such as going on land with the Captain and whoever else to get various foods or other necessities. As well as a protector of the ship, he is the Captain's personal body-guard. The Captain trusts him as much as he trusts his First Mate, but the First Mate has more of a strategic head then the Fighter in the way of more then running a saber through someone's gut, and so the Fighter is tasked with Fighting, not commanding. If the Fighter were in command.. there's no telling what would happen.

The Assistant:

The Assistant is skilled with anything she puts her mind to. Though she may not be the best at whatever she is trying to do.. the Assistant is the optimist of the ship, and works alongside the Doctor often as a Therapist for the crew. She has been taught many things by everyone, even the past crew members, and knows more then a little of everything. The Assistant is under the complete command of the Captain, though nobody really knows why it is that the Assistant always does whatever she is told by him, even if it's something silly, without audible complaints. The Captain tries not to put to many things on the Assistant's shoulders, though he knows he has absolute power over her.

The Chef:

The Chef cooks all the meals and tends to the make-shift bar that is located in one of the lower levels. He's wonderful at cooking and other artsy things like that. If it weren't for the mechanic, he'd probably be the most crafty person on the whole ship! Now that there's less crew members, it's probably easier to cook.. though less crew members really isn't a good thing. Everyone was like family, and the Chef's dinner is what would bring them all together at the end of the day.. laughing and happy. Now what will happen? Will the Chef still be able to make the crew happy with his delicious meals after a hard day's work?

The Passenger is on board Nevaeh for whatever reason he/she deems necessary. Though there is a cost, of course. Passengers may only stay until they arrive at the destination that they are heading, and then they will be dropped off and the character will be removed. Unless the Passenger would like to become part of the crew, in which case they may stay as long as they like as well as they're doing honest work without to much arguing. Many different passengers are allowed, not just one.

Though romance is acceptable, you are not allowed to cyber ANYWHERE on Gaia. So just don't do it. Okay? By the way, this isn't going to be like a normal rules section. Because people don't read the normal ones. They just skim through them. So in you private message you'll send me the entire next sentence. There will be no railroading in this roleplay unless it's pre-accepted IN THE OOC FORUM by the owner of the character that you want to railroad, there will also be no god-modding. Deal with it, kids. Auto hitting is acceptable to the extent that I will have you state before you start roleplaying. Anyway.. This is a Semi-lit to Literate roleplay. Why? Because posts with only two sentences fail and also because I'm not a good enough writer to make a higher "level" roleplay yet. Oh, and even though I just said "only two sentences fail", you can write however much you want.. though two or three paragraphs is what I'm looking for here. QUALITY over quantity is what matters most I guess.. My sister, no-explanations, is the other owner of this roleplay. It was our idea. I can understand writers block, but try to post at least two or three times a week minimum. Please, before you leave, lets discuss how your character will go. I don't want to kill off anyone that I don't have to. I do want a little better then "relatively good" grammar, good punctuation, good spelling. I want good sentences and NO one-liners. If you disobey the rules here or gaia TOS you will be kicked out of this roleplay. I will not give you a second chance. I think this is a warning in itself, hmm? Don't be an idiot.
