Anastasia Pike stood frozen in the hall. Which way was class again? She could here people snickering into their books as they passed her. Others grabbed at her clothes, pulling her one way, then letting another person pull her another. Tasia had no idea where her books went. She tried to search back in her memory, even her muscle memory, which way she went everyday to get to class. No luck. Anastasia was suddenly scared that she lost her first ability, even though it should be her second. The expression on her face--of terror, no doubt--must have seemed funny, for someone started howling with petty laughter, with soon drifted down the hall, contagious, as everyone else started joining in.
Stupid humans, Anastasia thought angrily. She marched right up in the direction of the person laughing, and drew her fist back. There was a slight hiccup in the laughter, but she was too fast for the person to get away. In the next second, a group of girls passing by shrieked with minute horror, as blood blossomed out onto the face of on of their teachers. Anastasia knew it was her science teacher. the one with the notch on his forehead, right above the left eye. A teacher had been laughing at her. Her teacher had caused this outburst of laughter. Anastasia suddenly recalled which way was out of the school. People in front of her leaped out of her path as she ran to the main entrance doors. Tasia felt like playing hooky today.

Brooklynne walked slowly to class, looking down at her drying shirt. "I really hate them." She thought as she knocked on the door of her first period class. The teacher opened the door, raising an eyebrow, "Where's your slip?" He asked her. "I-I forgot it." She stammered, wanting to get away. "Go and get one." He said sternly. Brooklynne nodded and headed out of the school before anything else could happen.

Priscilla Nadadse Falls

User ImagePriscilla had continued walking, a smile washing over her face as she continued staring forwards and enjoyed the sun that relentlessly warmed her pale skin. Lifting her slender wrist yet again she stared at the face of it, sighing quietly and increasing her pace even more, eventually reaching the park gates to start past the school, staring at it for only a moment and shaking her head. She missed it, she truly did, not having to work full-time and being able to learn something everyday, something she had always looked forward to.
The only thing that caught her eye now however was a student walking out the front doors, a student, and a member of another clan. A prominent clan it was, and turning her head back quickly, and staring at the cement Priscilla proceeded by, letting her jetblack and unruly hair cover her eyes.

Brooklynne sighed, holding her binders close to her chest. She looked around before deciding to take a walk in the woods. She walked swiftly across the street and into the woods. After going into the woods, she slowed her pace and looked around, suddenly aware of her surroundings. She stopped by a tree and heard leaves crunching behind her. Brooklynne turned around to see nothing behind her. She shrugged it off and sat down by a tree, the leaves still crunching afterward. She looked around again to see nothing. She opened a notebook and started writing down random lyrics she had thought of. She jumped when she felt something beside her arm. "Hey there." She said, petting a fawn's nose. The fawn sat down beside her and looked at her. Raising an eyebrow Brooklynne asked, "What is it?"

Anastasia choked back the hot tears that also welled in her eyes as she pressed the bony back of her left hand to her mouth and felt in front of her with her right. But her search in felling if it was all clear was only cursory, so she would stumble into tall bushes and benches as she hurried along. Suddenly there was nothing under her right foot, and she realized that she was running off the curb and into the road--not exactly a safe thing for a blind person to do. Out of habit, for this was what she was taught to do if about to go skidding into the busy street, her knees buckled and she landed hard on the asphalt. Anastasia winced as loose rocks were slammed into her knees, while a bus zoomed past close enough to make her hair whip around her head. She slowly shifted her legs so that she was sitting on the curb. Tasia inspected the damage done to her knees with skilled, nimble fingers, quickly plucking pebbles embedded into her skin.

Brooklynne looked at the faun and awaited it's response. "A girl." The baby said. "A girl? What girl? What's wrong?" Brooklynne asked the faun, raising an eyebrow. "She can't see." It said, pawing at the ground. "Trouble."

"Trouble?" Brooklynne asked the faun, "What kind of trouble?" She raised an eyebrow. The faun got up and started walking away. Brooklynne followed it out of the woods.

Anastasia winced as something dropped onto her raw knees. She quickly brought a finger to her eye. Yes, a tear,
her brain confirmed. Anastasia felt her ears get hot, then her scalp prickled and her face felt warm, too, as a steady flush washed over her face. Not exactly the kind of blushing when you're embarrassed, but more so when you're angry--at someone or yourself. Tasia was angry at everything. Everyone. The memory of the last time she was crying was even fuzzier than the memory of her parents. She slammed her palms down onto the spotted, dried up grass behind her, ripping out gobs of it, wishing she could do the same with her hair. The pain in her knees was bearable. Her teachers writing 'loser' on her forehead would be bearable if, or when, it happened. Getting hit by a bus full of ordinaries would even be bearable. But crying wasn't. Anastasia thought of what a scene she was probably making, sitting, writhing, and up-rooting grass like a maniac. She tried a laugh, but it quickly evolved into a shuddering, uncontrollable sob.

(sounds fun! =] except for the writer's block))

The faun stopped a few feet out of the woods and looked over towards a girl. "Thanks." Brooklynne said to the faun, patting it on the head and looking over towards the girl. As she got closer she noticed it was Anastasia. Brooklynne walked over to her and hugged her, "Are you alright?" she asked her. Noticing she was crying, Brooklynne wondered what was wrong.

"If you call getting lost in a hallway you've walked through dozens of times, being laughed at by your teacher, ruining your knees again, and almost getting ran over by a bus, I'm more than okay! I'm wonderful! Es-estatic!" Anastasia said loudly to Brook, her voice getting higher until it cracked at the end. She broke out into a new flood of tears, then scorned and scolded herself for talking so meanly to one of her own clan. "Sorry," she apologized when she regained the ability to speak. "I.." Anastasia bowed her head slightly, running her fingers over her knees again. "I did something bad," she finished. She wondered if Brook ever felt delight from the thought of damaging another person, good or bad.
(( eh.. i gotta go >.< ))
[[Okay. I'll talk to you later then! :] ]]

Brooklynne held Tasia closer, "I'm sure it can't be that bad..." She said, hoping that it wasn't. "You didn't kill anyone, did you?" Brooklynne asked her, thinking immediately of another dead Ordinary. She backed off a little and looked Tasia in the eyes, waiting for an answer.

sable sepulcher

Seph amused herself by watching the Ordinaries, and no doubt, the Untouchables come and go through the hallways of this pitiful school. Life was a bore here - you came, you worked, you ate, you talked, you worked more, you left - until someone got hurt. It was usually an Untouchable, but recently an Ordinary had reported that she was attacked by "one of those monsters". Monsters, right. What about the people who started it all? The whole Untouchable versus Ordinary propaganda. It was all ridiculous in its own right. So Sable had only one option - to sit here and watch the busy insects crawl through their nest.

"Bzzz," said Sable Sepulcher, with a wry smile.

Tasia managed a smile in Brooklynne's direction. "No," she said, in a somewhat nasally voice as she wiped her nose on her sleeve. She pressed each eye lightly into a shoulder, drying them and trying to get the sting from the tears off her face. "But.. I did punch my teacher in the nose," she said softly. The smile faded. She blew on her knees, wincing at the pain. She wanted to keep feeling things for as long as possible. It was always after she got hurt badly that the numbing shock came. Anastasia was just glad that the part of her brain that remembered reflexes wasn't as slow. She could still vividly recall the slight jingle of a loose bolt somewhere towards the bottom of the bus. The suction at the back impishly tugging at her to follow, like a bird's eyes. "How long do you think I'll have detention?" Tasia asked. If I don't get suspended, she thought grimly.

Brooklynne shook her head, "Not sure. But, I'm sure that he deserved it." She said, wondering what all happened. People could be so mean...And a teacher of all things? Brooklynne shook her head again, "Teachers are supposed to be a role model for us. What's happened?" She thought, thinking of how she was picked on by a few teachers.
