Kharn felt a surge of rage flash through him. He hadn't heard most of what they said, save for something about demons, and the order for his death. After all this time of his faithful service, some jerks were plotting to kill him. He wasn't even sure if his direct superior officer, Baron Mesmer, had something to do with this or not, but he figured he'd find out later. In any case, Kharn decided to wait patiently. He was Number One, after all, and the tournament would only help further sharpen his already keen skills...whenever this so-called assassin made his or her appearance, Kharn would be ready to take their head, along with the skulls of everyone else who decided to try and kill him.

A big burly man leaned up against the wall with a hood covering his face "Ya...Sesono has always been an elemental that was hard to control. That one has always had a mind of her own. Perhaps it was to do with the original Sesono Humora.." he said leaning his head back with a smirk. There was an uneasy aura about this man. Definitely not angelic, though it wasn't demonic either. "....Have you been able to locate Metko yet?...the woman who can't die unless by her own hand?" he asked clarifying the importance of her use.

The angelic man sighed and shook his head. "No..but she would be useful on how to terminate Number 2..She's the one who really knows everything about the great 4..she was there when they first appeared some thousand years ago.."

There was a silence, until the hooded man broke it "....Kharn's demonic energy is getting worse..how long until we end his fate?"

The angelic geezer looked at him and squinted his eyes "...The great 4 were originally demons..especially Kharn being full demon..We'll end his fate just like Sesono's fate. Make him think that they're going after a demon village and send in someone to kill him. Astroua was too weak to be in the great 4..he was only a burden, so getting him and number 2 out of the way makes it much easier..Kharn is a good follower..but his demonic side will soon consume him..we need to terminate him now.."

The hooded man chuckled as if he were pleased to hear about this. "Sending the great 4 to a human demon refuge...I bet they still don't know that they killed 1/8'th of the human population that day..."

The old man smiled "..Humans have sinned this world, they don't belong here anymore..which is why we must find Metko, as long as she lives humans will live.."

Sorin had made quite a bit of money just doing a small street performance but then when you can bend sound it made the job all the more easy. Giggling she wandered around going to the square where she had last heard Ebony's heart beat well only because she needed to ignore it once she began to dance and sing. "My kill." She breathed as she walked up to Ebony smiling softly. "I'm all set for the tournament you?" She asked watching him before looking to where Sesono had been tied.

Well, Stridder really was out of it... He was asking about Sesono being put in Jail. Wasn't he there when... Nope, nevermind. Photographic memory says he was no where to be found.

"Sesono's in jail because apparently she killed her friend and the guy was fighting her was all like, 'I'm number one!' and I was all like, 'OH HELL NA!' and then he was all like, 'Oh okay...' then I was all like want a drink and then your douchebag stalker was all like, 'I don't like you let's fight!' and everything went to hell. Big point being I was sleepy and figured I could just break her out later. So here we are!"

Red finally took a breath after rambling about quickly. He just had to wait for the tournament to start to initiate his plan. The tournament should distract the guards for long enough...

"Ok I'll just... Wait, what?" Stridder asked, "Why is Sesono in jail?" Stridder still hadn't known what exactly happened to her. He figured that if she was in prison, then there must have been a misunderstanding. The Sesono that he knew was kind and nice, not someone who should be put in jail. "And who was that man was fighting her." Stridder asked trying to recall what had happened before.

Kharn paused for a moment and listened in, curious as to what was being said. He crept behind a rather large and inamimate golem constructed from wood. These things were pretty useful devices; most of the times, Iron Golems were used to guard prisons and fortifications as they never required sleep or food to continue to function. Wood golems were used for training...and in Kharn's case, he was using it to hide for some eavesdropping. His eyes wandered down to the half-dozen meter long blades that extended from each of the Golem's four limbs, all sheathed in leather. When his training began again, he'd have to remind the caretakers to remove all the safety precautions.

[Sesono]

When Kharn had entered the training room, the man who was hosting the trial was there. "...Such mess that wrench has caused. Lets just hope she is given mercy when she has passed from this world.." he said trying to make himself sound as if he felt sorry for her. "However it was as it was ordered.we knew she was going to be the one to fail the test...' he said pushing on of the punching bags over, for it only to reappear.

As they arrived at the prison which Red displayed with enthusiasm he began another shpeel, desperate for the time that they had. They'd need to get Sesono out of there and Red had just the plan... Sort of...

"THIS is where they are keeping Sesono and I have absolutely no idea how the ******** to get in. That's where you come in with the whole woosh thing."

Red had to use his entire body to apply emphasis on the word 'woosh'. He was expecting to fly in and be all hero like... Which would be pretty cool, but... Gods know he's gonna ******** it up and just kill everyone...

"You are going to be our lift and I can do the splodey stuff. Then we both get credit for saving Sesono and kicking a** at the same time!"

"Bold words." Kharn called after Ebony. "Rest assured, when I'm done with you, I'll have your head mounted onto my wall, and the rest of your mangled carcass fed to the dogs." Kharn was already plotting out what he needed to do. "Ready the training room. No safety precautions, nothing. And have it done soon." He was not going to let himself get lazy; with what time he had, he would train and strengthen himself as much as he could before his match.

She deserves a better death then to be torched." letting out a sigh he continued, "I was just going to fight once and drop out, but now I feel a bit obligated to win, that way I can kill both you and your girl-friend." With that Ebony casually walked off down a random street. Mission accomplished. He though to himself. The date hadn't been set, but He knew that he and Kharn would meet in the ring at some point, there was no way either of them would dare loss until then. Ebony was sure of that.

Kharn gazed at Ebony with a murderous stare as he extended his hand and shook Ebony's. A smile flickered across his face as he began to apply pressure, his voice carrying false warmth. "A pleasure, I'm sure. You've got a lot of nerve, you know, stepping up here and making an ill-attempt to set her free. I could order my guards to tear you to shreds, but you look like a powerful swordsman. I'm sure one such as yourself has entered into the tournament. Perhaps we'll meet in the ring."

Red and Stridder had made some progress throughout the city, but they still had some ways to go before they could start the rehearsal. Oh well, Red would start his shpeel right then and there as they passed what seemed like a mob of people around the gallows... Or somethin' like that couldn't really see.

"Okay, so our friend Sesono... Who just disappeared into nothingness over there... We've got to break her- s**t, get down. It's your friend the douche."

Red pushed Stridder's head down below the crowd to avoid having him get spotted by Ebony. As far as he was concerned Ebony had some problems, but he had a sense of honor at least... But he did also lie about poisoning Stridder... Okay, so he's got the balance between good and evil I suppose...

"Just keep walking and we'll get to the prison in no time."

[Sesono]

Sesono still floated in the air and she looked down at Ebony "...You idiot.." she muttered as her body vanished with a clapping sound. The people in the crowd made and "aw" sound.

The angelic man who was flying in front of her "Oh well..Looks like the trial is over!" he sighed not really caring that this man had cut her chains. "..don't you worry, she isn't free! Instead you just signed her up for another days worth of torture and questioning..The public got her answer.."

The man turned around to the crowd "Her execution date is the last day of the tournament! Who ever wins gets to be the one to throw the fire on the straw beneath her and burn her body to a crisp!"

The crowd cheered, some went to sign up for it now hearing the opportunity.

A mysterious woman however did not cheer. Her hooded face and old appearance glared at Ebony. "....My my..how contradicting....." she muttered to herself and then turned away. "This is going to be an interesting decade.."

"You deserve better then this." he said as he cut the ropes that held her up. "So, your Kharn eh?" Ebony said as he turned to face Kharn, "It's an honer to meet Number one of the Great Four." he put out his hand as a greeting, "I'm Ebony." In their last match they where strangers, now they where fighters on equal ground. That's how Ebony saw things.

Sitting on a roof around the pole where Sesono was tide Kristen just watching and Kai holding onto his brothers free hand. "I suppose she can't be a peasant." Kristen said softly his brother giving a slight nod. She had guts that much Kristen could tell after all she had defied the great four and well almost gotten herself killed again. Sighing softly Kristen looked to his brother. "She's a magister again then?" Kai nodded once, "she deserves at least that." They both looked back each holding some respect for her how ever low it happened to be at the moment.

"Wonder how Magister Knight will take this..."
