Lyris smiled when the doctor left but slowly started to frown when he realized he was all alone again. Alone with his voices and his bothersome thoughts. The voices started to buzz in his head, starting at a slow murmur, then building louder and louder.
Lyris clenched his teeth and held his hands to his ears, even though that wouldn't block the sounds from his head. He suddenly smelled the sharp aroma of blood and snapped out of the small episode. He grinned wildly and sped to the small glass window of his cell. Even though the window was tightly sealed, with Lyris's strong sense of smell he could smell the enticing scent of the blood.
"Blood! I smell it! Give it to me! Now, now, now," he snarled and bashed against the thick metal door.
