Welcome to Gaia! ::

Corvus narrowed his eyes when she pressed further with questions. She had practically come out of no where in the midst of the Khaev highlands, and she appeared to be a warrior of some sort. Could she be a spy? He ruled that possibility immediately; this woman was responsible for that gunshot earlier, and there were nothing but Khaevs on this side of the continent. Unless that gunshot was for one of the Khaev escorts from Zerum Athos...

Corvus half-turned to the faces of his nervous comrades as he thought to himself. She was being civil for the time being, but there was no guarentee that it wouldn't turn to violence. He resolved to play this little game for now, just to see how she would react.

"I came here originally to question them as to the origins of a sword that was just recently stolen from me. Supposedly on the hilt it said 'The owner of this sword is the first of the two hundred'. When I arrived, a Khaev nobleman sent troops to escort to bring us to them. The rest," He motioned around him, "Is as you see now."

He made a point to naming his old sword and the one who sent escort, just to see her reaction.

Siv could tell that the man still felt warry of her, though she didn't blame him. As to his words, she was not sure how to feel about it. Mostly because she didn't understand half of what he spoke of. She shook her head slowly, lifting her eyes to meet his. "Then your quarrel with them sounds much more complex than the problems I've been having. They've almost entirely wiped out my race from this area. Our fight is for survival, nothing more." she turned from him, pacing a few steps as she thought. She glanced up at him briefly again as she wondered if they could be trusted, if they'd be willing to trust her after they found out what she was.

[[ Curse writers block, honestly... ]]

Akeno yawned and looked up at the sky, his head still against the rock. He saw a figure in the sky, but he couldn't bring himself to acting on it. "Saeon. You know what mate? You have a weird sense of humor." He smirked and winked, shaking his head while chuckling. Finally, Corvus had gone out to confront this person. "Female?" He said this softly and more in question to no one in particular. He could guess from the tembre and pitch of the voice, but he couldn't be sure. A yawn escaped his lips and his tiny fangs showed. Healing wiped a person out.
Johnson watch Corvus and the weird women. He heard of demons before, but never meet one in person other then his inner darkness, when he went through the last test to become a gunslinger, but it was merely a shadow that nearly beated him. This creature however is one of flesh and bones and more dangerous then a mere shadow. But first he need his guns to at least make himself happy right now. He quickly move across the battlefield and grab his gold revolver and his black automatic, but he swore when he found dirt all over his golden revolver. He act quickly and took out a small cleaning case and began to work hard at cleaning it.
Saeon stared down the person with wings and the red hair curiously. " Well Akeno, my humor is a great value at times.. Even thought it is strange it can work me out of some situations that arent quite comfortable, and I mean that as in guns pointed at everyone. " He said grinning and lowered his gun. He lowered his voice to a low whisper. " What is she? Kinda attracting, but she kinda seems weird also, than she fights, but than again gerous.. I need a book, never seen something like that, got any guesses? Im crossing out the robot thing. " He said and passed a quick glance to the newcomer. " I dont feel comfortable if she joins us, I trust you because your Yuri's friend, Corvus cause he is friends with Rin, that other swordsman cause he is a friend of Corvus. And Johnson, well, I fought in battle with him and he didnt run off so he is good in my book. I mean, I wont think of any of you knocking me out if im on night watch, but a newcomer who is balanced between dangerous and attracting to me is a bit too far. " He whispered again.
(( Yuri and Akeno are demons Mr Firebox.. >.>; lol ))

Yuri reluctantly allowed Corvus to leave the range in which she could easily defend him. As always, she knew there would be no arguing with him. Besides, she reasoned with herself, it was important for them to gain as many allies as possible.

The wolf stood in silence on full alert as she watched the two converse, catching a scrap of conversation when the wind turned in her favour. From what she could feel and smell, the woman was a demon. As usual, Yuri felt the throb of Masamune against her hip as the demon blade responded to the newcomer's aura.
She didn't sense any kind of ill intentions from the demon girl, but kept her guard up just the same.
Corvus nodded slowly. He didn't know much about the Khaev council, but he wouldn't put it past them to pass genocide upon those that they will. It was the phrase "My race" that mostly got his attention; he could already assume that she wasn't quite human, and this merely clarified that there is more than one of her.

He sighed. The sun was rising at this point, and he hadn't had a decent rest for a good 3 days. Heavy bags hung off his eyes, and he could feel the burden of sleep deprivation weighing down on him.

"You're free to join us if you want. I don't believe we're going anywhere soon in our current state"

(( Damn. Writers block. neutral ))
((really? I didn't know xp My knowledge of demons are the horned and wing ones, so forgive me if didn't know. Also I'll add a little tension even after a battle to make some wheels spin. ))
What the group didn't realize was that they were being watch, by a little bug hot-wired with a camera in it's left eye.

Somewhere in the cool waste lands of the arctic, in a hidden base in a mountain face, only visible part of it is a green house near the face of the mountain. Surrounded by a metal fence the length of Las Vegas around

"As you see gentlemen, our missing subject X-17 has finally resurface, and looks like he isn't lone this time," A bald, thin body with face man said as he click through the different pictures taken by the bug. "They show remarkable power for sure, too bad Abler's face dancers couldn't get a DNA touch of them, I would of love to see how they tick. So tell me, what should our next course of action be?" He turn toward the long table full of men of science.
One man spoke up, "We should kill them, before they learn anything else about us!"
Another rose and spoke, "We need to learn of them! You remember our goal! We are to build the ultimate race that our lord commanded 300 years ago! We must learn of their DNA!"
"Enough! We must do our mission. Doctor Young, is Abler's DNA gatherers still working?" A old, yet very wise looking man ask.
"50% percent of them are working. Should i give the order?"
"Yes, and one other thing, make sure to get as much as you can on the dead soliders. We can find out of their nationality. For "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"," He quoted as Doctor Young race out of the council room to turn on the DNA gatherers.

Back at the ruins of the battlefield...

"@$!#%$" Johnson said as he flick a lady bug off his nose, as he finish cleaning his gun. "There finished," he said to himself as he got up. He then hear a dull buzzing noise from from the ruins of the lab. Soon a swarm of mosquitoes came fly toward the group, filling the air with a loud buzz and a hell of alot of bites on exposed skin.
(( Damn Firebox, that is a good twist. Id love to bash some smarties head in! ))
(( Interesting O_o; Mosquitos? XD
And don't worry about the demon thing, I was just clarifying ;D Akeno, Mika and Yuri aren't so much the scaly horned demons.. they're more the furry with ears type xD))
(( I'm the little dramallama in most threads, and yes mosquitoes, they suck and store blood. Don't for forget Abler was a person to clone people, so he hot wired bugs to get DNA of a target and well, you can think the rest biggrin ))
(( lol! Believe me I know what mosquitos are e.o .. i escape them for about 7 months a year, but the other 5 with them are hell >.< wink )

Akeno smirked at Saeon. "You are right on mate. I am nervous about newcomers, but..." He lifted a shoulder and shrugged. "But I also can't deny someone that wants to help us." His ears twitched forwards as he caught an odd buzzing sound. He stood slowly and wearily and looked in the direction where the sound was coming from. His eyes widened and his ears went back as a growl escaped his lips. He bared his fangs at the bugs. "Those are bad bugs!" He howled as he brought his staff up. "I guess now is as good a time as any to test this newcomer's skill." He spun his staff and hurried to Yuri's side. A spinning staff acted as a fan, blowing most of the mosquitos away.

Akeno looked around and felt something land on his ear. "Youch!" He yelped as he felt the bug bite. He swiped at his ear but missed the bug. He lost sight of it in the mass of insects above him. He snarled. "I hope that doesn't come back to bite me..." Then he grimaced in distaste, still twirling his staff in an attempt to keep most mosquitos away from Yuri.

[[ My apologies again for my absence, I've had alot of stuff going on the past few days. Complications with my pregnancy, I've been out of town, and sicker than a dog. ]]

Siv wasn't entirely sure weither to accept his invitation, the others standing behind him seemed very wary of her, not too keen on the idea of joining forces with a stranger. Deciding quickly, she nodded her head. "I'm sure my clan would be glad to help out as well, but, unfortunately, they've other things to deal with... I'm not even sure how many of them are still alive, their weren't many of us left to begin with."

She knew that it sounded like she was trying to hide something, and truth be told, she was. "I can explain everything later, she re-assured him, not wanting to give cause for any distrust between them. "Are you sure that your group is okay with...." Just as Siv had begun to speak a distant buzzing tickled her ear, quickly growing louder by the second.

She cocked her head to the side, looking for the source of the noise, and it was soon upon them quicker than she could think. It looked like a dark cloud at first but as it approached she could see it was a swarm of what seemed to be mosquitos descending upon them. As the first few landed on her, she cursed as they stung her flesh, shaking her arm in an attempt to get them off. It was to no avail.

In no time at all, the group was surrounded by the thick swarm, all you could see were tiny clouds of mosquitos. She had never seen them act this way before, and didn't even know them to travel in such large groups. Thinking quickly, Siv opened her mouth, a loud, high-pithced, glass shattering scream emitting from her lips, stunning a large portion of the swarm that had yet to reach them. The stunned bugs fell limp to the ground. Something was wrong with this situation, it just wasn't normal.
