Cree realized that the vampire could sense him from where he was so he decided to sneek around in the trees. He jumped up and landed on the tree. Cree then continued on until he could see the girls from his tree. He suddenly realized that this tree seemed to be about three feet taller then the others. He wached as both girls turned to look at him. He first saw that the human girl had a bewhildered expression on her face so he said "what? Never seen a vampire before?"

Rose didn't know how much longer she could keep being around the human girl without being tempted. She looked up at the presence of the new vampire and smiled, finally someone like her. She gracefully jumped up the tree and onto the branch next to him. She smiled softly, "hi there!"

((Hey, guys. Really sorry about being so late, I had a gigantic load of homework and no time to do it.))

Riik was startled by the human girl's boldness. Every other human he had seen fled when they realized he was a vampire. It seemed to be a quite natural thing in their society to be afraid of vampires, and he understood the reasons for it, but this one girl showed more resistance than he had ever experienced, vampire or otherwise.
It was even more startling when, while he was still trying to keep track of his thoughts, Megan and, subsequently, two more frighteningly hungry-looking vampires appeared. At this point, he was beginning to admire the human's courage, scared though she appeared.
This jumble of thoughts went through his head at top speed and splattered on the ground in his brain, and his mind was still trying to pick up the pieces when he realized that Megan was patting him on the head, and she was talking to him. He glanced over at her, listened quietly, and got even more confused than before.
"Hey, Megan," Riik said confusedly but friendlily,
((it actually is a word,)) completely ignoring the other vampires and the human girl. "Um, yeah, I came from a tribe of Animi. We all had power over animals, yet we were taught to live beside them."
His brain finally finished reorganizing its house and brought out a table to throw at him. "A team? That would be... great!" He mused quickly that he had never really had a friend, much less a teammate.
He smiled, feeling better than he had ever felt before. all the same, there was this sickly twinge deep in his consciousness that was yelling at his brain to not forget what she had said about ruling vampires. His brain checked the attic, found what the twinge was talking about, and threw it at him again.
Riik's mind nearly shut down again, for it was tired from cleaning out its house.
"Ruling vampires?" he gasped, but at the same time he felt a rush of ecstasy from the darker side of his mind's house. He chuckled inwardly. "That... that could be possible," he told Megan, looking at her intently, but with a hint of suspicion in his eyes. Could he trust her?

"Hello" Cree said. He found himself staring deeply into her eyes. "Wow, what clan do you belong in?" Cree said forgeting about the human.

She paused then answered, "I don't have one. I have been on my own since I was a child", she smiled pushing back the memories of her old clan she didn't want to tell him. She held out her hand as she greeted him, "My name's Rose by the way, and you are?"

Megan grinned at Riik. "Great." She linked arms with him. She knew she was weird, but if he was her team mate, he'd get used to it. She saw the suspicion in his eyes, so she smiled and played it off.
"I was just musing. You know... Thinking aloud? I'm still new to the vampire thing. If I ruled vampires, I'd rule you. I couldn't do that to you."
She looked down, faking shame. She'd only known him a while... but she felt connected. Like it'd been two years insted of a few hours. Her shame came more and more for even having the thought. She un-linked her arm from his, voice now genuine, "I'm sorry."
She now understood. She'd been like this all along. That's why she'd been alone. But no one ever looked at her with the suspicion he did. It pretty much slapped her in the face--in a good way. It opened her eyes.
But it didn't take the ruling idea out of her head.

((Dude, she's messed up.XD))

Cree thought about it and said"really? I don't think so. I am Cree" he took her hand and shook it. Then suddenly snaping back to reality, he noticed the human had left. "well thats great" Cree said, sitting on the tree branch.

((@ Cree: so she's left then? well, i wonder where she went. wink haha.))

When the four vampires in the clearing were all distracted by their own discussions, Danica realized that it probably wasn't best for her to stick around. The female with alluring eyes (Rose) seemed extremely thirsty, the male in the tree with her (Cree) acted as though she was dumb, Megan was particularly unusual, and the last male (Riik) didn't seem to like her. In fact, none of them had really shown any kindness to her while she was with them.

"Well that's great," Danica heard Cree saying from the tree branch a short distance away. She was heading back to her house and creating a new path thinking that one vampire was enough for a day.

After several minutes of walking in solitude, she heard the rustling leaves. The sound was exceptionally faint, and she knew that she shouldn't have been able to hear that sound either. Nonetheless, it was there. It continued as she moved forward. Suddenly, she stopped, and the rustling stopped too. Danica then walked and stopped in sudden bursts of movement, testing the rustling.

When minutes had gone by, Danica knew that something or someone was following her. Must be one of those crazy vampires, she thought to herself.

Abruptly, she spun around and faced a tree that was behind her and called out, "What do you want now?"

"Sorry" Cree said from the tree"i was wondering where you were going". Before she could answer he asked "Do you live near here?"

((haha, that was a lot. wink ))

"You could say that," Danica replied mysteriously. She didn't know if she could trust him, and if she couldn't, then she definitely did not want him knowing where she lived.

"Why do you want to know?" she asked him sounding just as curious, and added, "Where do you live?"

((Danika, I think the human pwng was referring to was someone else.
Sheesh, pwng, that's a little unnecessary!
Wow, is she a psychopath or just really weird? No wonder I'm suspicious. She might be a backstabber, er, backbiter. 'Course, I wouldn't know that, would I?))

Riik smiled back at Megan as she slid her arm into his. She was unlike anyone he'd ever met, a totally unique spirit. Of course, she was nice to him, and that was a first, at least after he was turned. Nowadays, many vampires were looked upon condescendingly and with hatred, especially so with the Animi, a "barbaric, devolved society" in the eyes of many humans. As lives go, the path of an Anima wasn't an easy one, and few chose it.
Megan seemed... special.
"Oh, ok," he replied, snapping his head out of the clouds. "We could rule together, though, you know. I mean, if you want to." He wondered why he was saying this. The concept had only occurred to him once or twice before, and he had been frustrated with all the difficulty involved. Still, the idea of being around Megan... brightened his deeply shadowed outlook on the future.
He realized with a start how dejected she looked. "Megan... what's the matter?" he asked her quietly.

((I'm making him into an idiot. Oops... maybe he'll finally catch up with his overly sad life.))

"well considering that i don't sleep i don't think i have a house in your eyes but ihave a structure to keep things in and it is in this forest" Cree said

Danica turned the new information in her mind. She didn't know until now that vampires did not sleep. She decided that she wouldn't ask anything about it until she got to know him better. If she got to know him better.

"I suppose you could call that a house. I would," she grinned at him for no particular reason and asked, "So why did you follow me? Or more like, why do you want to know where I'm going? It's not really your business is it now?"

Cree looked sort of puzzled, and she knew why. Danica had gone from annoyed, to interested, and then to accusing in a matter of seconds. She did this often, for it confused people, and by doing this, she won every debate. But because of this, all the vampires seemed to think she was weird.

We're not there yet.

" i was just wondering. I just never met a human like you" Cree said. "up until now i felt like a normal human. but when i am around you i feel special in a good way"

She looked back up at him, wiping her eye and smearing some of her eyeliner.
"Oh. I'm fine," she forced herself to laugh. Vampires didn't cry. "It's just... It's not importiant. Ruling... Just forget I said anything, Riik." She finished off softly, looking away again. More and more of her life kept crashing down into her face. She needed to hold it together. She needed to.
