~An Amazing Quest for an Alluring Item~

((sorry it's taking me so long to reply!!! I was working on an essay for my English 1010 class. D; ))

Annabella's heightened senses told her of the presence of an angel approaching even before he entered the bar. Feeling the need to shield herself from any sort of altercation, she quickly hid her demonic aura completely, only letting out a faint vampiric presence. Sometimes it was more than enough to hide who she truly was, and more often than not she had been able to hide herself from angels while still managing to get close to them. Once the angel came in and sat rather close to her, she smiled. Perhaps I'll be able to follow him around and figure out where this secret meeting is taking place. Running a hand through her ebony hair, her curls trailing behind her and in front of her pale face, she called to the bartender once more. "Excuse me sir?" She asked with a seductive French accent hinting at every other word. "Do you by any chance know where the nearest hotel is?" She has a place to stay, but she hoped to catch the angel's attention with her question. She needed to start up a conversation, and fast. As she asked, however, her nostrils flared with the scent of another demon. Wonder who it is. Her blue-violet eyes scanned the place, searching for her kindred.

Demential took gradual drinks of his whiskey. He heard the woman near him ask the bartender where the nearest hotel is. He set down the glass and turned towards her, realizing she was beautiful. "Beauty is like a knife.."He whispered to himself. "All of the hotels are either booked or too shabby for any rooms to be sold. If you need someplace to stay badly, I've got plenty." He offered, smiling at the woman. Something seemed off, but he wouldn't deny her a place.

Kasumi's eyes once again scanned the bar look for the demonic presence. she caught sight of the angel sitting next to a women that gave off a faint demonic presence. the souls screamed of the vampiress. some in vain of being one of her meals. she pulled her eyes from the two being and turned her gaze to the fire. her hair was illuminated by the glowing fire as her eyes reflect its blaze. 'thing are going to get interesting,' she thought with a small smile.

Annabella smiled to herself as she slowly turned to face the angel. He didn't seem to have noticed her demonic aura, and she liked to keep it that way. "Oh, that would be... how do you say... wonderful." She said with her Parisian accent as she took another sip of her sex on the beach. The bartender would have to wait; she couldn't risk losing sight of any angel at this point. The demonic organizations wouldn't be happy with her if she let one go. "So, what is your name?" She asked gently, turning her blue-violet eyes back towards the stranger. She would have to get as much information as she could. It might also be a good idea to get Lexi on the case. He doesn't seem like a threat, but just in case... She turned away from the man to stare at her mirror, pretending to be checking her appearance when she was looking for the other demon instead. Interesting presence. Nothing I've ever met before. Fearing putting the other in danger, she decided she would discover who it was and keep the angel far away from them.

Demential smiled as she checked her appearance. Beauty is like a knife."I'm William Hartson. You can call me Will." He said to her. Human names disgusted him, but he knew there was a demon in here, and he wasn't exposing too much information. "My door is always open to someone in need." He said warmly, sipping his whiskey.

A light sigh escaped Lexi's red lips as she made her way down the street. Usually, she wore a darker shade of blue lip gloss. However, today she simply felt like wearing something else. Even though her lip gloss was different, her clothes were relatively the same as always. She wore a long, black sweater jacket. Under that she had on a pair of dark blue jeans, a dark purple blouse, as well as a pair of black, ankle boots. There was also a simple black hat on her head. It was simple, but still very nice, obviously from a designer.

Lexi wasn't usually one to go walking through the streets alone. It wasn't such a smart thing to do, and having been around for such a long time she obviously knew that. However, since her sister was in a bar, she couldn't possibly be able to walk down the street with her. That bar was exactly where Lexi was headed. It didn't take too long to get there either. It almost no time at all she stopped at a building, opening the door and moving in.

Once inside she took a moment to take a deep breath, making sure that it wouldn't be obvious to others what she was. After doing so she turned and made her way over to her sister. "I was beginning to wonder where you had gone off to." she said. Her voice was light, almost as though she were joking around. "How long have you been here?"

Annabella nodded as she heard his name. Common. Too common... She was extremely skeptic, sometimes too much for her own good. "Annabella Valfauche. Pleased to meet you." She said as she turned back to the man and offered him her pearly white smile. "There is... one thing, I'm afraid. My... twin? Yes, twin. That is how you say when you have someone that looks exactly like you, yes?" She pretended to ask herself. "My twin is in town with me, and I do not wish to leave her behind. Could it be possible for both of us to ah, stay with you?" She asked as she batter her eye lashes at him. Her beauty was something that came in handy when dealing with men, but she wasn't always sure if it would work with angels. She just hope it did. Just as she had finished mentioning her sister, Lexi appeared in the bar. [********. I hope I'm the only one that can tell she's a demon. Annabella turned to Lexi and smiled. "Hello Alexia." She only called Lexi by her full name when there could be trouble or danger so as to inform her sister to be careful. "I have ah, been here for a while." Her French accent wasn't extremely thick, but was enough for one to notice. She hoped Lexi would notice so she would use hers as well.

°▬ Wallow ▬°

Snow drifted down softly from the grey-white sky, landing onto the city and cloaking the earth with crinkled sheets of white. Chilling winds breezed through the air, inflicting sharp bites of cold to any being that walked throughout the streets. Frost coated the windows of buildings and the puddles of water and the leaves upon the trees. The frozen rain fell without a care, indifferent completely, especially for the group of shadowy figures within a particularally large and damp alleyway. Two of the silhouettes passed a limp body between them. One held savagely held up the defenseless being while the other delivered the blows onto him. Another soon offered his enthusiasm to the violence that followed, kicking and screaming horrible words that echoed on the moist stone walls of the alleyway. Blood splattered the ground here and there.

"Hit him again!" the faceless shadow grunted, and watched as another punch landed on the already battered cheek of a dark-haired man who barely stood on his feet. The man went sailing right back down to the cold ground as he was punched brutally yet again. He attempted to stand up again, but just then another blow came from a different member, this time to the stomach. The victim bent himself in half, gasping as both pain and physics stole his breath, his mouth wide and distorted with pain, sharp fangs bared. His attacker relented, and the one holding his arms again watched as he coughed and vomited blood onto the bleached pavement, swallowed from an assault that began hours ago. He let them attack him without a fuss. This was his punishment, afterall. He had it coming since he formed the words from his mouth I quit.

The crack of bone and the slap of flesh echoed shallowly outside the alleyway, the only sound in the night aside from the sharp cries and wails of pain from the victim, though they were few and brief – the will of the vain and proud seldom broke so easily. A few minutes of this merciless battery marked the limit of the youth's resilience; his knees buckled and his captor allowed him to crumple to the ground. He lay there in a bleeding, broken heap, face down and submissive, yet this was not a warrant for mercy, long, moist locks of dark brown hair slid off his shoulders and formed into a waterfall-like curtain. "All right, I think he's had enough," one of the Fallen members said--the leader Abigor. The victim had bloody slashes and gashes and cuts decorated over his entire body. If they were normal wounds, they would have healed by now but such injuries had been inflicted upon him by a special, lethal blade from a silver dagger from the leader himself. The dagger was gripped loosely now in Abigor's hand, the blade drenched in Wallow's blood.

"We'll be see seeing you, Wallow," Abigor sneered. "Want another a**-kicking, come to us anytime." With that, the demon gave the underdog one last kick in the ribs before he and the rest of the Fallen departed from the alleyway and into the frosty night, leaving the bruised and bloody heap where he lay. Wallow blinked few times slowly, looking straight ahead of him at the dark wall of the alley, until he finally decided to get up. Such an act was torture as his injuries cruelly forbidded him to move a muscle. He was eventually able to get on his two feet (albeit shaky) and lean his shoulder onto a wall, his breath coming out as a loud wheeze. A trail of blood streamed down his moist cheek as he hobbled out of the alleyway and onto the street. Good thing no one else but the Fallen had witnessed his humiliation. He walked with a ragged limp, finding it hard to breath. The snow that fell on his pale skin made him feel a bit refreshed; his usually always moist skin absorbed the melting snow hungrily, making his wounds heal at a faster rate.

Wallow didn't really know where the hell he was going and he didn't really care. As long as it was away from that goddamn alley where he met his demise at the hands of his formal group members. He could just collapse on the sidewalk and just fall asleep then and there but the worry over half-angels finding him and slaying him in his sleep made him dismiss the idea. He couldn't rest in broad nighttime. He needed shelture, cover. Hunger gnawed at his stomach. He tried to ignore it and focus more on his footsteps and the cold. His ragged breath puffed out as smoke, floating up towards the sky to be carried onto the winds to no-where. He needed to stay at an abandoned home or a hotel at least. Where was that hotel again? That way or that way...? He felt slightly dizzy. His teeth were gritted and his lips were bent in a half-grimace, half-scowl. Turmoil roiled like thunder in his heart, making his chest tremble. He let out a loud, gargled, demonic howl of anger and frustration that was carried upon the bitter winter wind and sent through-out the city for anyone to hear.

The Internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.

Demential tensed up as the new person entered the bar. He turned his head slowly. [********] He took a sip of his whiskey and sighed. "That would be no problem at all." He grinned, hoping that he would still be grinning at the end of the night. He checked his watch and then looked back up at the woman and her twin. "You two aren't from here are you?"

Kasumi stood from her corner seat when her throat grew dry. she carefully wormed her way threw the rows of chairs. keeping her gaze to the ground, Kasumi did not wish to catch any of the civilians attention, which ws easy with her appearance. once she made it to the bar counter. she was just a few feet away from the Angel and Demon. "Hot totty please," she said quietly to the bartender. she looked over seeing an open stoll and sat down. staring at the counter, Kasumi silently studied the two creatures next to her.

Annabella's eyes quickly left her twin as she noticed the presence sitting close to her. She looked at the glasses on the bar, looking at the reflection of the girl that had sat somewhat close to them. Ah, there you are. Better keep you away from this one, just in case. She turned back to Lexi, searching for a way to let her know that she needed to talk to the girl and get her far away. "Where have you been? Didn't find a good hotel, I suppose?" Annabella was magnificent at acting as well as her sister, and she hoped she would get why she was being so mysterious. Let's see how long we can keep up this facade. Looking back at the angel, she smiled again and nodded. "Yes, we are not from here. We're from France." Annabella started getting the strange feeling that something was about to happen, and although she didn't so much as think of bringing it up, she hoped they would be far away when it happened. A battle right now could give them away.

Lexi took note of her sister using her full name, which she never really liked. She knew what it meant, which only added to her dislike of it. Her eyes trailed to the boy her sister was speaking to. A sweet smile came onto her face, studying in slightly. "Oh, hello, I didn't realize my sister was speaking with someone." she said, giving a light sort of laugh after she spoke. Like her sister, she used a french accent. "I hope I didn't interrupt anything important."

"I just heard you both needed a place to stay. So I figured I'd offer my humble abode as your place of rest." He exclaimed, sipping at his whiskey. He set the glass down and he caught glimpse of a girl out of the corner of his eye. That's the demon? He shook his head, thinking that a rough night had dulled his senses. But he would keep on his toes. "I think I'm about to turn in. I'll leave the door unlocked for you both. It's just down the road, 1132."He said, yawning. He buttoned his coat and opened the door, stepping into the snow. Something just wasn't right. But he figured it was his lack of sleep.

Annabella listened in to what the angel was saying to her sister. Once he was out of ear shot, she turned to her sister. "Half-angel. Be careful around him." She stood up gently and went over to the other half-demon in the room, sitting right beside her. "You should be more careful. I believe the half-angel has discovered your true identity. I must say, it's rather curious. Never met anyone quite like you. Tell me, what is your other half?" She was always straight to the point, and mroe often than not, she would forget her manners. "Oh, terribly sorry. Annabella Valfauche, the half-demon's Association of Assassins leader." She said as she stretched her pale white hand to the stranger. "Pleased to meet you." She added her particular smile, showing off her fangs.

Lexi stayed silent as her sister spoke and moved to the other Half-Demon in the room. She sighed lightly and ordered herself a drink. Normally she would have ordered a drink with a light amount of alcohol, but she wasn't in the mood for even the lightest bit. Instead, she was given a glass of ice water before she turned and followed after her sister. She didn't sit down, however. Instead she stood, listening, a sweet smile on her face.
