Charles, King of the Underworld

Charles nodded, his eyes almost becoming blurry with tears that he had not once shed for anyone but his wife. He inhaled deeply before he opened his eyes. "Yes, she is missed dearly. I only wish I had found a way to get Annabella to meet her now. Unfortunately, she seems to be the only exception to the Room of Souls." He sighed, looking to the left so as to avoid everyone's curious eyes. "I always knew Stella meant a lot to you. I still think it would be a good idea for Clay to meet her... however, it is up to you." He paused, and then he added, "Clay is a good boy. Even if you have destroyed his soul, I don't think all of it is gone. Or at least, I hope so."

I will rule with a firm, yet gentle, hand.

Sync removed his hand and lowered himself back down so he was flat on his feet. Sync's head looked up towards the sky as he began to think deeply. "I want Annabella and Clay to meet her together. She'd like to see that the boy is happy." Sync lowered his head and looked at Charles in the eyes. "Sometimes Charles I think that this ideal I am following through with is just a lost cause. I started this because I couldn't stand the destruction of the land and each other. As you well know after thousands of years of living and watching so many creatures die around us, it is like we lose a taste for it. But then some sense of life and love flows in to us and we are at peace, and we begin to have a sense of humanity."

Cel threw up her shield with a speed she didn't know she had. Her eyes widened. The power was overwhelming, but she focused some of the energy through her shield into more of her light attacks. These were acting different though. Highly reflective and spinning, they deflected the feathers and shot for Sci.

Arty sheathed her blade and dodged the attack. She thought to the others; this is getting a little too hot to handle, guys! She charged him again, hoping to catch him off-guard during his transformation so she could dematerialize him.

Charles, King of the Underworld

Charles looked down into his friend's eyes, nodding. "Yes, that will be a good idea. When do you think Clay will get back to Annabella? She seems rather impatient to see him from what I've observed. She's about ready to ditch the body guard and go looking for him." He chuckled gently before his expression became wary, for once looking old in his ever youthful face. "Yes, that is true. Sometimes I wonder if, no matter what happens, demons are meant to have some sense of human traces in their blood. Perhaps I will conduct some research once I get back to the library." By library he meant the Room of Prophecies. The one were all the books concerning "myths" and "legends" resided. The Underworld had the most extended library in the Universe, with books also having the fates of all humans in their pages. The book changed constantly depending on the person's decision. I wonder...

I will rule with a firm, yet gentle, hand.

Nixie walked through the streets of Paris with no particular goal in mind. Actually, she was hoping that she'd run into someone familiar, though that was unlikely. Her memory had been stubbornly refusing to divulge her origins to her for over 1500 years, she doubted it would be coerced by simply a familiar face. She was bored and annoyed. She didn't even like France! but she'd had to head south after England went the way of Atlantis, and France just happened to be in the way. She could've just sped through it, but she really had no destination either. But she did adore chocolate. She dived into a store buying several bars of chocolate. She quickly ate one, putting the others in her bag for later. She detected a handful of very powerful energy signatures, and wondered what the convention was for.

The lightning that was colliding in to Cel's shield increased in power along with now two more streams of lightning hitting her from other directions, this amount of energy coming from three different directions would for lake of a better term overwhelm her since the amount of energy and the time would be nearly impossible to channel out since there were three streams instead of just one. As Arty and Cel's attacks near Sci they'd wind a strong shield of wind that would throw Arty back and then destroy the attack. Sci's features were those of absolute madness.

Sync felt a small raise in energy nearby. "I can't believe Sci actually brought out one of his Wings. He usually never brings those outs, I think we are going to start seeing a lot more dangerous creatures coming out of the wood works since Angels are starting to show up on Earth because a lot of creatures have vendettas against Angels." Sync sighed, "I rather like my feelings, I honestly wouldn't want to know where they come from, I am perfectly fine just thinking they come from old age, because I feel if I knew where they really came from I'd lose them." Sync smirked at his friends and laughed lightly, a dark deep toned laugh.

Arty got to her feet, dematerializing before she charged this time. She moved straight through the waves of energy coming at her, she would get close then grab him, materializing to do so for only a split second, before dematerializing both of them.

Cel stopped absorbing the power, and now moved forward, her shield still intact, to get out of the lightning pincher she was trapped in.

Sci allowed himself to be dematerialized with a smile on his face. "You have made this all very simple for me Artemis. Now I can use my powers and not worry about anyone hitting me." Sci began to laugh as the lightning that was attacking Cel followed her, the lightning was attrached to her shield and her energy and would refuse to let up. Since Sci's attacks were elemental he didn't need his body to channel the attacks just his mind which was still in working order. "So how about we end this now, I will let you three live this time because I am tired, and sick of fighting. So I will extend this offer again. Join us Artemis, or next time it will be me and my brother who come to wipe you off the face of this planet."

Arty almost died of shock. He could use his powers while dematerialized?! she didn't know what to do. He made the offer again. She looked at her friends. "Would they be allowed to live too?"

Nixie kept walking. She eventually came to an area where there seemed to be a good bit of energy. It came from several figures on the rooftop. She was curious, but didn't want to interrupt anything. She decided to keep an ear out. Someone around here would be talking about whatever was going on.

OOC- I'm heading to bed guys, but i'll check back in the morning!

Sci smiled pleasantly at Arty. "Of course Celistal would be allowed to live, she is a halfling, and all halflings and Immortals are welcome in our army. As for the Human, I will have to slaughter him. So what say you Artemis? Do you wish to live, or do you want to die because of one single insignificant Human?" Sci immediately noticed a new energy signature. "I can sense you, there is no need in hiding newcomer!"

Ooc-
Goodnight, Akiko.

Nixie heard the yell. Hiding? I wasn't hiding. she thought indignantly. She blinked, and was suddenly by the group, albeit hanging upside down from a tree branch that miraculously survived the fight. She knew everyone here in one way or another, and marveled at how on earth they'd managed to get themselves into yet another mess. "so wha's going on?"

Don't look down. Dont look into the eyes of the world beneath you. Dont look down You'll fall down. You'll become their sacrifice.

Aesma.Nasirep.

Aesma stood silently. She knew not what they spoke of. Obviously, Charles had lost his wife, but how? She watched the emotions play through both Charles’ and Sync’s face. Puzzled, images ran through her head, trying to play by play anything possible. Her search got her nowhere, but then she realized both men were now silent. They spoke of a man, Sci, though she could feel his presence, she’d no clue who he was. His power radiated through the large city of Paris, sending shivers up Aesma’s back.

Looking at her Uncle she nodded. “Charles?” She asked, her voice slightly high pitched. She was a bit nervous feeling as if she were being too forward. “Would you mind if I maybe,” she fumbled with her fingers, “I mean if it’s not too much trouble,” swallowing hard she looked from Sync to Charles and gave a mental push, “Would you mind taking me back with you to Hell?” She almost offered to do household chores, though she didn’t want to appear desperate, but on the contrary, she was.

Aesma’s body went stiff. It looked as if she were preparing to be slapped in the face, without closing her eyes. Her body seemed to get smaller, at the air surrounding them cooler. She turned her face to the ground, hoping for Charles to give his consent. All she’d ever wanted was to be accepted, not even her father had done that. She stood there, like that, waiting for the silence to be broken.

Right or wrong. Cant hold onto the fear that Im lost without you. If I cant feel, Im not mine, Im not real!

Sync couldn't help but laugh lightly at Aesma's words, the laugh was dark and deep. His childish face lit up as he looked over at Aesma's expression. "Years of imprisonment and mental torture has made you younger then us in your mind, even know that in body and soul are just as old as us. I feel sorry for you to be sealed away is a terrible punishment, one that should not be placed on any Demon, especially not when it stunts their growth. Or maybe some Demons do not age as me and Charles have." Sync began to think this over, he did not understand age all that well because of how old he was, age and pain for that matter had no real meaning to him.
