Don't look down. Dont look into the eyes of the world beneath you. Dont look down You'll fall down. You'll become their sacrifice.

Aesma.Nasirep.

"The pleasure is mutual," Aesma tilted her head, as if questioning weither to fear him. She shrugged, “I don’t feel the urge to be on guard around him. He’s not the only one here who can be dangerous,” she said matter-of-factly, finishing her cigarette. She pulled her hood from her head, letting her cyan blue hair fall farther down reaching her knees. Her eyes were a dark crimson red, the color of fresh blood. Her face bore aliquant features, almost perfection, and the corner of her lip seemed to almost tug, but not enough to call it a smile at all.

Looking back to her Uncle, she nodded at him. "I just met Clay, not more than an hour ago. He was attempting to recruit me for this revolutionary army," she said akwardly, "but I turned him down." She moved a hand up to the back of her head, scratching it slightly as if ashamed.

Right or wrong. Cant hold onto the fear that Im lost without you. If I cant feel, Im not mine, Im not real!

°▬ Wallow ▬°

Wallow peered at the rows of vegetables, his wet lips pursed. "Mm. Vegetables, okay," he murmured. He pointed to a few after a moment of consideration. "Carrots, lettuce, green beans, collard greens, corn..." he drawled.

Kasumi listened as Wallow pointed out the veggies. she studied them before grabbing the ones that looked appealing which was; carrot lettuces and corn. Blowing out a sigh she shook her head. "This is harder then i expected," she said with a frown. glancing down she glanced at the things she had collected. "Meat and a couple more things an i think we'll be good," she said with a smile looking up at Wallow. Walking over to the meat counter, Kasumi had no problem here. Her father would rather eat meat the veggies when he grew hungry. Picking out a few cuts of meat, Kasumi collect the last few things. "do you think we have everything?"

Charles, King of the Underworld

((it might take me a while to reply. I have an online class right now that lasts till 8.))

Charles nodded, remembering the chaos it had caused a few days ago. "Yes, that was rather unfortunate. Cerberus became wild as he tried to keep them all inside their room. Most wanted to escape and seek revenge." He let out a soft laugh, closing his eyes momentarily. "Like they could do something about it. I pity them." He shrugged then, hoping Cerberus wouldn't have trouble keeping things in order while he was gone. "But yes, a notice in advance is rather helpful. I'll see what I can do about it. And don't worry about Annabella, I'm sure she will be fine. It's Clay I'm worried about... I just hope he remembers her." Turning back to his niece he added, "Ah, yes. Recruiting." When he heard his niece's response to Clay, his eyes widened and he quickly looked at Sync. "I would hope that you would owe me enough to not hurt any of my family members if they decide to stay out of this?"

I will rule with a firm, yet gentle, hand.

-XSpitX-
Sci's figure would vibrate and six Sci's would soon stand where the one Sci had been. Three of them disappeared in a blur of motion while one took the hit from Cel's attack, this was only possible because these images would have the same energy readings as Sci, so as to trick the attack, and once the attack hit this image the air would collapse in on the attack destroying it and the image. Another image took a direct hit from the self fighting blade, however like when Cel's attack had hit the image, the air would collapse in on the blade forming a prism that trapped the blade, and then the image would fade away like a wisp of smoke. The final image formed itself in to an electric barrier around the sword to prevent someone else from freeing the blade, the barrier would almost lethally shock anyone trying to break the prism the blade was trapped in. The final three Sci's appeared on surrounding buildings and soon a barrier made out of air that stretched far in to the sky was made, this barrier was meant to hold in the three attacks, it wasn't lethal but the air was a class five hurricane winds, so virtually it was impassable even for the Cel who was flying in the air, since the attack stretched high in to the air. Simultaneously the three remaining Scis sucked in the air around then and put up a single finger from their right hand up to their mouths and exhaled sending dark colored air on to the ground where Lucian and Arty were. This air however was called 'Shocking Air,' the dark color would remind someone of a storm cloud and essentially that was what it was. Throughout the air everything in it would be constantly shocked. the shocks were very painful, but they would take several minutes before they would become any where near fatal, for halflings for Humans it would possibly temporarily immobilize them, and the attack would both hurt Arty and Lucian, because Arty's power took a second or so till she dematerialized, but she wouldn't feel much pain before then since she'd more then likely be shocked only once, but as for Lucian his armor did protect him from most attacks but this attack would hit every part of his body sending electrical shocks throughout his whole body and because of his distance from everyone he'd be in pain for at least several seconds, before Arty or Cel was able to rescue him.

((OOC-easing up on me huh? well, i think i may have a trick to help...))

Arty kept running, concentrating on making her body move, despite the pain of the shock. Using her truesight, she focused in on the real Sci. She ran up to him, and grabbed for him. If if it worked, which it should because he wasn't expecting it, she should be able to dematerialize them both, then rematerialize herself and leave him dematerialized.

Lucian was thrown back from the shock, the pain surging through his body. He gritted his teeth, feeling his muscles spasm from the current running through him. he concentrated on forcing his hand to obey him, reaching into the bag again. He pulled out a small ring that focused electricity, and concentrated on funneling the energy out of him.

Sync sighed, "Yes my old friend, I may be an idealist but your family is off limits even if they do not join. But if she opposes me I can not promise she won't get hurt. I will not harm her and neither will my son, or my Angels but others may see to hurt her." He sighed again and his small hand scratched his head. "I will do all I can you have my word on this."

Aesma.Nasirep.

Aesma shook her head at Charles, “No, no! If it’s you that is controlling the war, I’d reconsider. My real purpose at this moment is to slaughter your brother,” she shrugged nonchalantly as if it were a normal topic. Sighing she looked at Sync, “Besides, I think I’d give you a healthy run for your money,” a cocky look covered her face, then she winked. Aesma found herself enjoying the company of Charles, and even slightly Sync’s.

After hearing Sync give Charles his word, thoughts raced through her mind. He wasn't as bad as she'd been believing. She gave a sigh. Aesma looked towards the sky, searching for the answer. Of course none came, though it felt comforting to her. Smoothing out her hair, Aesma began a mental babble.

“Is this what a family is like?” She asked herself, think of how Charles tried to protect her. Her whole life had been dedicated to slaying her father, but now things seemed different. Perhaps, things would turn out differently for her. She nodded at Charles, “Permitting you’ll allow it,” she said strongly, boldly, “I’d like to devote my efforts to your army.” Her tone was confident, as if she could take on the world alone.

Sci smiled as he easily side stepped Arty's foolish charge and aimed a kick at the exposed back of her head. She had foolish charged in, Sci knew her true sight ability and was expecting her to use it this time due to the fact he'd already used this technique before, and he was sure she'd figure it out from the first time what the images were. Whether the attack hit or not he jumped back waiting for Arty to make her next move, he had assested her ability and was weary of her touch but he knew that dematerialize and rematerialized would eventually take a total on her power reserves, and soon she'd be unable to do it anymore, the question now was how long would it take. As for the other images they kept an eye on Cel and Lucian making sure to watch the real Sci's back.

Ooc-
But you figured out the weakness. Arty's true sight ability can see through Sci's illusions.

((Unfortunatly I've got to head off for the night. Hopefully I don't leave yall majorly stuck. Uhhh if you'd like to go without me it's all good. I can wriggle in there somehow tomorrow :] Nighty Night! heart ))

Arty spun around to avoid the kick, knowing that she couldn't afford to keep dematerializing. She backed up, not getting too close to Lucian so that they wouldn't be an easy double-target.

Cel saw Arty attack what must have been the real sci, and nodded. She fired off more homing shots, this time focusing some of them on each sci.

Lucian thought, Arty's trick was a good idea, i'm impressed. She's actually using her head. But he expected it. Which means that unless we can catch him off-guard, it won't work. But even he must have his energy limits. Lucian pulled out his personal favorite toy. It looked for all the world like a jewelers eyeglass. He didn't need to hold it to his eye though. It transmitted the stats on anything with energy in it(hypothetically; everything) straight into his mind. He focused it on sci to get info, watching for an attack.

Ooc-
I am going to feel bad when I have Sci's wings materialize because that is how his power is increased and where his Angelic powers and energy is stored. ><;

Sci smiled as he felt the illusion disappeared after they collapsed in on the attacks Cel sent at them. Wind blades formed and clashed with Cel's attacks each of them canceling out each other. Sci's human body was becoming exhausted and battered from all the techniques and power. Sci extended his air sensing ability so that the whole area was covered. He began to pant slightly the strain beginning to tire him out, 'Damn body, I refuse to use my Angel wings against these creatures.' Sci was actually becoming annoyed and for him this was a major change in his demeanor. Sci didn't know what to do he decided to wait for the children to make a mistake and capitalize on them. He wouldn't last much longer in his human form.

Lucian got the info from his toy. It showed a massive energy reserve, that seemed to be tied into his Angelic powers. Hell....we can't take this guy unless he does something really stupid....not likely. Suddenly, an idea came to him. he thought to the others; Cel converted the lightning into energy. What if we created a lightning storm, and she converted it all into holy energy? She could have a massive supply of power, and maybe get this guy to back off.

Cel frowned at the lack of good that her attack did. She was getting tired. Her wings hadn't had this much of a workout in a long time. She heard Lucian's thought. It was a good idea.

Arty nodded. She unsheathed her other blade, the wind controller. She backstepped a good distance away, then attacked the air, focusing the wind.

Lucian took the flaming blade and the lightning ring and concentrated them into the same area of sky that Arty was working on. Within seconds, an artificial lightning storm was brewing, aided by the fact that the air was still charged from Sci's attacks, and heated from the fighting.

Cel fired homing attacks at Sci, lowering her altitude just a bit; still out of his reach. She felt the lightning in the air, and began to absorb it into her shield.

OOC- you should feel bad. picking on the little halflings like that! you're so mean.

heart ~Any and all Avatar art is not only appreciated, but will be rewarded~ heart
A single pure white wing appeared on the upper right side of his back and his power tripled in an instant and his ember eyes flashed and began to glow. "ARGH!" All the lightning from the storm zapped straight in to Cel the power would be massive he severely doubted that Cel's form could hold all the continuous energy that was being poured in to her body. At the same time Sci forced all the wind that was coming out of Arty's blade and forced it back at her with a flick of his wrist. Sci was becoming angry and with this anger he was losing his calm which unknown to the halflings, made him extremely dangerous. As for the attacks that Cel sent at him white feathers shot from his wings slicing through Cel's attacks and heading for Cel who was already preoccupied with a massive continuous stream of lightning that Sci refused to lighten up on.

Charles, King of the Underworld

((okay, so, it took till 9:22 my time, but still. >.> I am back. <.< ))

Charles sighed in relief, placing a hand softly on Aesma's shoulder. "You may do whatever you'd like. I only advise you not to oppose anything Sync does. He is rather powerful, and I would hate to see you hurt." In that instant that his eyes met Aesma's he swore to himself that he would take her in as though she were his own daughter. It wasn't a bad thing, he just hoped she wouldn't be opposed to the idea. He then turned to Sync again. "My family won't oppose you, of course. I believe Annabella would rather die than go against Clay." It wasn't a lie either. Annabella was a lot like her mother, who had done just the same thing for Charles Annabella would be willing to do for Clay. The thought made him cringe, remembering those last fateful minutes he had had with his wife.

I will rule with a firm, yet gentle, hand.

~GIMME WHITE INKS!!~

~The rain kissed the soft ground~

~That's when they knew they were in love~
Sync saw the hurt in his friends eyes as he cringe and he knew what he must have been feeling, well to an extent he greatly missed his wife Stella. Sync stood on his tippy toes and put a strong hand on Charles's shoulder. "We all miss her my friend, I can never understand your pain. Your family will never be hurt by my hand, you are the closes thing to family I have other then Clay and Stella, and I had to destroy both of their souls to realize just how much they meant to me."
