Charles, King of the Underworld

Charles frowned, wondering just exactly what was going on in Gabriel's mind. "Really? Well, I can honestly say I'm surprised. Gabriel wasn't one to love anything he created, is true, but banning you... sounds a bit harsh to me." He crossed his ripped arms over his chest, thinking about what his twin was planning. "Either way, I haven't spoken to your father in over a thousand years, so what he does really doesn't concern me." At the mention of Cerberus, one of his eyebrows raised. "You know Cerberus? Well, that's rather interesting. I don't believe I ever noticed you down in the Underworld with us. Must've slipped my mind... or memories. Remembering everything can be a pain, and I tend to store the less than urgent thoughts in the very back of my mind." His laughter was like a wind-chime singing its tune as it would swing gently in the breeze, his eyes closing gently as he did so. "But Cerberus is fine. He is a great companion. Also a wonderful weapon in battle, for lack of a better term. He likes the Underworld very much. He has also become rather fond of your cousin, Amaranth. Although now-a-days she goes by the name of Annabella. Actually, that is why I'm here. I was hoping I'd be able to find her." He smiled down at his niece, towering over her by almost a foot. "But I am glad I found you. It has been a long time since I've seen you. I'm glad you are... well, alive." He wanted to hug his niece, but seeing how she barely knew him, he didn't wish to startle her. "Won't you accompany me for a while?"

°▬ Wallow ▬°

Wallow blinked up lazily at the small cottagelike store Kasumi had been able to find and guide both herself and him to. Typically it looked rather strange to him. Born and raised in the city, he was a natural city-dweller; the country was alien territory for him. He looked through the front glass window, seeing only a few customers here and there. It was better than being outside having so many people and smells go beside and through you. This would give his nose a temporary rest. "Sure, why not?" he told Kasumi, shrugging. He led her into the store. "Let's see what they have in here..."

Sync watched on at the scene of Charles and Asema, with a childish smile on his face. His light green eyes watching with delight, oh how he did love to see funny things. The childish form Sync had taken was rather suited for him, he was playful like a child and always very curious, but he was also very devise, and a child amounted to all these things. But still there was now hiding the power that came from his being it would only be a matter of seconds till the two realized he was there and only Charles would realize who the little overly muscular, little black haired boy that was sitting on a nearby tree branch with his feet dangling really was.

Aesma.Nasirep.

Aesma nodded, “Yes, though, the days I’ve seen Cerberus, he was more of a pup than a hound.” Gritting her teeth at the sound of Gabriel’s name, Aesma sighed, “It’s been double that amount of time since I‘ve seen Hell, or my father.” Perplexed, Aesma tilted her head, watching Charles smile. It was odd for her to see anyone smile, or even laugh, but his laugh seemed to give Aesma shivers. She’d never smiled, in her entire life. She stood watching him. When he’d asked for her to accompany him she shook her head, coming from her mind babble. “I suppose I could follow you. I’ve nothing more to do. Mayhap, I shall learn more of you, and my family.”

Right or wrong. Cant hold onto the fear that Im lost without you. If I cant feel, Im not mine, Im not real!

Kasumi gave a small smile as she walked into the store. An elderly lady behind the counter lifted her head and gave a sweet smile. "Accueillir, il y a n'importe quoi je peux vous aider avec? (welcome , is there anything i can help you with)" the women said. Kasumi stared at her blankly for a few seconds trying to requster the words. "Non, cherchaient juste maintenant quelque nourriture pour remplir le rayonne mais merci. (No, were just looking for some food to fill the shelves but thank you.)" she responed with a small smile. "Is there anything specific we need," Kasumi asked looking up at Wallow. buying food for her consumption was easy but when with the babies were involved, some things were better then others.

Charles, King of the Underworld

Charles nodded, the smile never disappearing from his face. "Of course. That was over three thousand years ago. He has been rather helpful, and if you ever come visit, I'm sure he'll remember you and would want to play. Believe me, even as the ferocious being he has become, he is still as playful as he once was." At the mention of how far she had gone without been in Hell, Charles' smile disappeared from his perfect features. "You should have come to me. I would have taken good care of you. I dislike the thought of a child... well, not particularly, but to me, you will always be a child, wandering around on her own. Gabriel is rather irresponsible and cold-hearted, as always." He then nodded once more, his smile back on as he looked up at the sky. "Yes, I would love to tell you about our family. Or at least as much as I know." It was then that his scent caught Sync's smell, his demonic aura powerful enough for him to almost taste it. "Why, Sync, I hadn't noticed you've been there all along!" His voice was filled with delight as he looked at the boy, laughing at his appearance. "Like I've already told you, that body suits you." He greeted his friend, nodding towards him as a salutation. "Why don't you come closer so we may all converse?"

Aesma.Nasirep.

Aesma gave a solemn nod, “I’ve been alone practically forever, wandering doesn’t bother me at all.” Aesma’s head shot up, facing Sync. Wasn’t that Clay’s father, an Ancient. Aesma tilted her head, he looked younger than her. She 16, him considerably youner. She shrugged and gave him a firm nod. Had word already spread to him of her defiance towards his army? And if it had, would she be forced to fight him. Would Charles stand with her, or against her? She decided to play stupid.

She watched sharply as Charles spoke to Sync. Normally, Aesma would have never forgotten about the cigarette between her lips, but with meeting her Uncle, things weren’t normal. Instead, Aesma decided to get a feel for Sync before making any conversation. They both seemed to have short tempers, a fight before her Uncle wouldn’t make to well of a first impression.

°▬ Wallow ▬°

Wallow had simply decided to zone out when Kasumi and the old woman behind the counter talked to each other in French. When Kasumi gave him attention again, he immediately snapped out of his bubbly water world and focused on her. "Oh, um, not really," Wallow told her. "As long as whatever you buy isn't too sugary or salty or spicy... or any of the other '-y's," He smiled a bit at the last words of his sentence.

The Internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.

Sync flashed his childish smile at Charles and Asema. He then placed his arms beneath him and pushed himself off the tree branch, an inch before he hit the ground Sync seemingly disappeared and was suddenly on Charles shoulders with his arms resting on Charles head. Sync was only 5'2 and weighed about a hundred pounds so for Charles massive figure he barely weighed anything to him. Sync continued to smile while looking at Asema, Sync was feeling very playful at the moment and he was always pushing his luck playing around with Charles as he was. He looked on at Asema and his light green eyes glowed. "So who is the cute little Devil child my lord?"

'None of the '-y's" Kasumi thought slightly confused as she glancing around the store. Walking down the aisle she picked food that caught her attention. once she came to veggies, Kasumi wrinkled her noise. she remember the veggies Wallow had tried to get her to eat. "Umm Wallow, can you help me pick out some of these," she asked pointing to the greens.

Aesma.Nasirep.

Aesma bore a blank look on her face. She stared at Sync thinking to herself, “This is the Ancient Clay spoke so highly of? He seems more like a little child, alas looks are quite deceiving.” Her mind chatter halted as she realized, he was on Charles’ shoulders. She tilted her head as Sync spoke. “Cute,” she thought under her breath, not loud enough for anyones ears but her own. He thought she was cute? Obviously he must have been mocking her.

Charles, King of the Underworld

Charles laughed, looking up at Sync through his bangs. "Very funny." He didn't mind Sync acting like a little kid, it was rather humorous to him. After a while, he turned his attention to his niece, nodding gently. "This is Aesma, my niece. Aesma, this is my good friend, Sync. Careful now, he can be rather... dangerous." It wasn't a lie either. Sync was deadly when he set his mind to it. "Which reminds me... Whatever happened to Clay? I haven't seen him near Annabella at all." He raised his eyebrow as he spoke, his arms wrapping themselves tighter around himself. He didn't want anything to hurt his daughter, and being away from Clay did just that. "I must admit though, the riot you caused in England was rather impressive. I'm sad to see it go, but it was also slightly entertained..." He let his voice trailed, remembering all the souls that had landed on his door step that night. "You might want to slow it down. Too many deaths make it harder for me to manage all those souls."

~That's when they knew they were in love~
Sync once again disappeared and was standing next to Charles the next millisecond. "Well Clay sent three cities worth of Humans to the Underworld a day ago. I gave him his other two doses of Ancient blood and well he kind of lost his mind for a little while. But he is fine now, and also he is in Paris now. I am sorry I took him away from Annabella I just needed to make sure he was ready for the war." Sync's voice and demeanor changed suddenly after he listened to Charles speak about England. "I am sorry old friend I didn't mean to cause you so much of a pain. I just lost my temper for a little while. It will be another two months before I am ready to take down France, so this time I will give you warning, I hope that helps." Sync's childish smile appeared back on his face and his demeanor lightened up, as he looked over at Asema. "It is a pleasure to meet you."
