Ren dialed the pizza place. "You picky about your toppings at all, I was just going to get pepperoni." She walked into the kitchen and looked at him. "Hey you ok, I mean I don't like people looking so glum around me." She sat down next to him putting her hand on his shoulder.




Sophia put a small smile and glanced over at Alex. "Its a little more complicated then that." She answered, true she didn't get to pick him, but out off all the others he seemed the most intreasting to her. He didn't have a problem socializing like most of the others.

Byruku looked at Ren, giving a weak smile.
"Anything is fine for the pizza toppings."Byruku said, then he paused. He wondered how to answer the second question. "Well.....I was just thinking what it would be like to have a family, I mean like having parents."Byruku said after awhile, and he looked away from Ren, a little ashamed.

Ren frowned remembering her old life. "Parents were great," she said smiling lightly. "They were always there for you. I remember my dad always used to play the violin for me before I went to bed, and my mom was a great cook." She glanced over at a picture of her parents on the mantle. "But just like anything in this world it can be taken away when you least expect it." Ren's voice dropped by the end, she put her head in her hand remembering the night.

[Silver Nephil]

"So, did you know I can do this?" He snapped his fingers and a flame appeared cupped in his palm, the thin shine of his aura flitting rainbow-white around his fingers.

Sophia nodded. "Yeah I did, thats part of the reason they put me to protect you." She waved her hand over his head setting up a small shield. "You already saw the healing part of my gifts."

Byruku's expression became worriful as Ren put her head in her hands. Byruku was sorry he said anything. He wrapped his arms around Ren, and gently pushed her head onto his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, for speaking and not being there."Byruku whispered, then he fell silent.

Ren smiled and wrapped her arms around him. "Its ok, I mean the more you speak about things like this the easier they get right." She softly leaning against him. Ren played idly with a loose string from his shirt.

Byruku leaned his head against Ren's gently, and closed his eyes.
"It seems to get worse and worse for me. I never really had parents, or siblings, or many friends."Byruku said quietly, and he felt his wings fluttering very softly, they always did when he was upset.

"I've practied some shields too," Alex murmured. "Mine aren't as strong as that, though. They always seem to bust open if something pound sat 'em hard enough."

Ren leaned against him quietly hearing his reply. "Well I wouldn't say you don't have any friends." She looked up at him and smiled decieded to change the subject. "I mean we could always get a big thing of ice cream and some sappy romance and ball our eyes out."





Sophia smirked. "Yeah it takes practice." She waved her hand and removed the shield. She got up and stretched making her way over to the couch. "So what do you do for fun in here. Gotta keep me amused."

He rolled backward to the floor and picked up a controller from the table. "Care for some virtual one on one?" he asked, smirking. "I gotta warn you. I play a mean Soul Calibur." He pushed a button on the remote to turn on the TV, pushing another to bring up the game screen.

Sophia smiled and looked at him. "I wasn't called techno for just my music." She mused picking up her control and waiting. She played this quiet a bit with other angels. When they would all get together they needed something to do. Video games were some of their choices.

Byruku smiled back at Ren, feeling better. He laughed when she mentioned the movie thing.
"Aww, that's not manly at all."Byruku said, laughing at how stupid it sounded. "Anything you want to do, I'm fine with."

Alex grinned, setting the battle and selecting his player. "Ready when you are." The sly grin on his face widened, eyes bright and flashing.

Ren smiled and grabbed her keys. "Then we gotta go a few places." She laughed a little. "And we can rent an action flick just for you." She patted him on the shoulder. She was glad he chose her, he was at least someone she was able to talk to.



Sophia smirked and chose hers. "Lets see if you have the skills to beat me."
