Ren shook her head and shrugged stepping off the elavtor she dug her keys from her pocket. She opened the door. "Home sweet home." She smiled at Byruku. The aparment was small but well furnished, Ren hung her coat up in the closet. "Well make yourself at home I guess." She pressed her answering machine to check her missed calls through the day. She turned back and smiled. "It doesn't sound stalkerish at all, it is your job to protect me after all."

As caseie walked down the hall, she found her class room.

Byruku smiled back at Ren, then looked around her apartment.
"It's very cozy here, and well kept."Byruku said, removing his shoes and lining them up neatly by the door. He walked into the kitchen, wondering if Ren would like something to eat.

The boy smiled slowly, grinning under his bangs. "I've run into some fighters before." He chuckled. "They thought it was damn funny, before they punched me in the face." He looked over at her wings. "Black Wing, huh? You a Power?" He rolled his shoulders. "If y'are, cool." He turned. "Y'wanna walk some, Soph?" Alex flashed his grin again, tilting his head streetward before setting off at a light hop-limp of a walk.

Ren glanced back at Byruko. "You don't have to cook for me." She said with a smile. "It my day to order out, I was thinking pizza." She leaned against the frame of the archway that led back into the living room.

Sophia smiled and shook her head. "My wings are black because of my old job." She said simply shrugging on her jacket. She studied him. "You hurt?" She asked taking note of his walk/

Alex glanced at his leg. "It's an old hurt," he murmured, shrugging, walking back alongside the Angel.

Sophia smiled and knelt down running her hand lightly across his leg healing it. She stood back up and looked at him. "Yep wasn't anything." She said.

The boy smiled, setting off again with Sophia. He looked up as they passed another few buildings. "Almost there." He glanced over at the Angel. "Hang out place," he added, almost an afterthought.

Sophia looked over at him. "So what do you plan on doing today?" She asked wondering if she could leave him for a few moments to get some air. She looked across the buildings, her long days of perching were over, she found the human she had to guard it was her job now. Nothing else.

"Nothing much." He jerked his head skyward. "G'head, if y'want. Not stoppin ya. If'n I need an'thin, I'll call ya." He trotted up the front steps. "G'head." He smiled, turning and entering into the building's darkness. The sound of pounded wooden ramps and churning wheels filled his hearing.

Sophia shrugged. "Alex hold onto this for me." She tossed him her jacket. "Besides the sounds from that place would of cause me to go insane." She jumped off the ground landing on a building where she could still keep an eye on Alex. She sat down her legs daggling off the edge.

Alex nodded, trotting deeper into the building. Skaters waved their sunkissed hands, shaking nape-long hair from their faces as they rushed over, greeted, dispersed again, ran up a wall and dropped gracefully backward off it. Alex clambered up after them as one after the other they dropped off. He leaned back, throwing out his arms and flipping once before landing in a crouch.

Sophia sighed and leaned back laying against the building. She didn't mind being a guardian but it wasn't her old job. She liked the thrill she used to get, the fact she would always have to be on guard. She never had moments like this, she glanced over at the building, so he was a skater. She shook her head. "You have to protect him." She whispered to herself.

I'm not a skater, he thought indignantly. I may hang out with skaters because they're awesome and tolerant and know a hella lot about math but I'm not a skater. I'm a poet! He stepped demonstratively on a board and jumped back before he could fall on his a**.
