Riley

Riley still felt worried still, it was a rather large sword. But, it would be so nice to have a friend. This dead town was so lonly. Slowly she lowered the lead pipe. "Who are you?" There wasn't a lot of food left in the city. This girl must be hungry. "Here, follow me." Riley walked to the edge of the building and half fell, half climbed down the tree to a first story window and climbed in. "There's food here. Have some."

"Wait, what happened?" Terry said as he turned to face the man. He was confused, there was no storm warning so he had no idea what had happened. Ados held Terry's wrist so tight that pain shot up his arm." Your....hurting..." Terry whined. "Shut up." Ados snapped at him. He shoved the boy inside the drivers seat of the truck."Make it move." he ordered. He was afraid of this man. He looked strange and he was sure that he would hurt him too. So he had no choice but to start and drive the truck. He wasn't sure why the truck had been hot wired but he didn't asked questions. When he started the truck the radio blared country music. Terry was going to reach over and turn it off, but Ados kicked it until there was a whole in where it once was. Part flew every where in the truck and they soon covered the front seat and the floor. "Not a country fan I take it..." Terry said softly. Ados glared at him and he took that a a sign to drive. It was hard to drive down the street with everything in the way but some how they managed.

The pain shot up her leg as Robin continued walking down the desolate and destroyed street. Along the way, she had to go around various random objects: cars, telephone poles, etc. All of this destruction and even the loneliness from not finding anyone around that was alive was caused by something that had happened some time ago. Though, of course, Robin was unable to remember what it was. The only thing she did know for certain was that she had awoken to the shooting pain in her leg from the shards of metal and a few pieces of glass that were lodged there.

Before even thinking about it, Robin had forced herself to her feet, the pain intensifying as she placed any hint of pressure on the wounded leg. Miraculously though, Robin had managed to stay standing and forced herself to start walking through the streets. Well, that was after she had to crawl and climb out of what used to be a bedroom; her's apparently. Once out of her room, Robin had worked on removing the shards of glass from her leg. She managed to get most of it out, but there were a couple of pieces that she was unable to remove given how deeply they were in her leg.

All of that in the past now, Robin could be found making her way painfully down the sidewalk as well as she could given the change in the terrain. She had to find a way to get to some sort of hospital or find someone to help her before she lost too much blood and passed out to die in the streets. Gasping in pain, she stopped to lean against what appeared to be the remainder of fence or something. However, she heard the sounds of what seemed to be a car approaching. She looked in the direction of the sound and was astounded to find an actual car headed in her direction.

Terry saw the girl and started to slow down the truck. "What are you doing? Keep going." Ados ordered him." But she needs help! Terry said quickly. He pulled over the truck and hoped out before Ados could protest. "Here, get inside. I'll drive you to a hospital. " Terry told her. He held out his hand so he could help her get inside the truck. Ados stared at the girl, then he glanced down at her leg. "Put it in the back seat." he told terry. He climbed inside the back seat as well. " I can fix that leg." Ados said to them. " We need to find food and medical help soon." Terry told him as he helped her inside the car.

Robin blinked in surprise, staring at the car in disbelief as it slowed down to a stop on the street near to her. She clearly hadn't expected the driver to stop for her, let alone help her into the back seat of the car. She was so surprised that she didn't protest as she took the younger boy's hand so he could help her to the car. The way the other guy stared at her made her a little uncomfortable but she didn't say anything about it. At least not right now.

Wincing a bit (though clearly trying to hide it from the two guys with her in the car), Robin managed to sit down on her own in the back seat of the truck. "T-Thank you..." Robin finally said, her voice a little quieter than normal because she was a little surprised how thing were turning out. Just a few moments ago, she had been on her own and now she was with two strange men in the back seat of their truck.

"You, boy, keep driving." Ados told him in his rough voice. Since Terry wanted to help the girl they had now picked up, he didn't argue. He got into the front seat and drove carefully. " Girl. Give me that." Ados said as he pointed at her leg. "I fix it." he told her as he stuck out his tongue. It was a bit longer and pointed then it should be. " Silva heals. Make it stop bleeding. Keep if from being infected. " he told her. " I lick it. Make it better. Will hurt, but make it stop bleeding. Hand over the leg, or else I'll take it." Ados told her. Terry wasn't sure if he should believe the man, but Ados did look too weird to be human. So, maybe he was telling the truth. Terry prayed he was and that he could help the girl the found.

As the man in the back seat next to her spoke to her, Robin jumped slightly, startled. Her eyes widened briefly as she caught sight of his tongue, clearly this man wasn't human. But what in the world that meant, she hadn't the slightest idea. She backed away a bit at the man's threat, giving him a small and frightened look. "I-I'm..." She was about to protest that she was fine, but she stopped herself mid-sentence.

For a few seconds, Robin sat there motionless, not sure whether to trust this strange, and seemingly inhuman, man across from her. However, in the end, it looked like Robin wasn't going to be given a choice about whether to accept the help. So, she instead gingerly raised her leg up so she could put her foot on the seat next to her, leaning back against the closed door of the vehicle as Terry began driving once again. "A-Alright... You don't have to threaten me..." Robin replied quietly, looking away from Ados and at the back of the seat in front of her.

Ados leaned over and first licked the blood off the around the wound. His saliva had mostly the same affect of alcohol and it helped the blood clots quicker. After the wound was cleaned, he tried to clean the inside if the wound. He soon stopped licking her wounded leg and switched to picking the metal and glass out of her leg using his long pointed fingers. "There. All fine. " He said as he made sure there was no blood on his lips. " Should stop bleeding soon. Got bit out of wound. " After Ados spoke, Terry looked over st the two. " Are you alright, um...miss?" He asked as he realized he didn't know either names of the two that were with him. " No names. Pointless." Ados told him quickly after Terry spoke. "I plan to eat you two later anyways." The demon told the two with w wicked smile.

Robin couldn't help but wince a bit at the slight stinging sensation from her leg as the man with bright red hair began his 'treatment'. She sat there in silence as he continued until he stopped. She didn't look over at Ados until he said he was finished. And even then, Robin only glanced up and then immediately looked back at the seat in front of her. Robin had been about to answer the younger boy's question of whether she was alright when the one in the back seat with her told him that introductions were not necessary. But what he said after that was what caught her attention the most: he was planning to EAT the two of them later!?

"W-What...!?" she asked, her tone and expression incredulous. It didn't make sense to her that he would help her and then say that he was planning to eat not only her but the other boy in the truck with them. "But why? Just who... or what... are you?" she then asked, staring at Ados like he had sprouted three extra heads or something. With what he had just said, he might as well have anyway.

"As I said before, names are not important. I eat people. Well, living things mostly. Give me energy. Energy makes me live." Ados started to explain. Terry had started to shake in his seat. If he knew what Ados was going to do to the girl, he would of never brought her along.His red eyes and black claw hands were more then enough proof for Terry. He knew what Ados was saying was true. "Spines are what I run on the most. They are crunchy and full of sweet fluids. " He said to the both of them and gave her another dark smile. All of his teeth looked like needles and he had many more then a normal human had. Since they were smaller more could fit in his mouth. He had some molders in the back, but they couldn't be shown off in his smile. "Please, let me drop of the girl." Terry said in his soft voice. He was still shaking and was too afraid to turn around and look at the man. " I'm sure having two people will be too much trouble...so.. " Ados looked over at him and kicked the back of the seat. Terry yelped and stopped the truck when he did so. " Silence. Two people may to a bit of trouble. I only planned for one. What if I eat you and then let her go? Huh? Would you agree to willing be eaten? Hmmm?" Ados asked the boy and waited for a answer. "Not until she's safely away from you..." Terry said in a very quite voice. Ados laughed at what the boy had said. His roaring laugh traveled through the dead city. "Safe? You would trade your life for the safety of another person you do not even know the name of?! You humans are amusing. I may take you up on your offer later. " Ados said after his laughed died down a little.

Robin remained quiet, staring over at this demon or whatever he was, the entire time Ados and Terry were debating what they should do. However, her thoughts were interrupted as Ados' kick to the back of the driver's seat caused Terry to bring the truck to an abrupt and nearly violent stop. Robin managed to keep herself from slamming into the front passenger seat by barely having the time to shove her hands onto the back of the seat in front of her. The sudden movements caused her to gasp lightly as a shot of pain went up her leg again. She didn't move for a few seconds and in that time, she heard what Ados and Terry said at the end of their debate. Staying where she was with her hands on the back of the passenger seat, Robin spoke up in a rather calm voice for the situation. "Aren't you cruel?" she asked Ados, staring down at the floor of the truck. "Saving the lives of two people only to tell them that you're going to eat them anyway?" It was only then that Robin sat back up. Only this time, she looked up at the back of Terry's head, the faintest hint of a sad little smile on her features. "Thank you for your concern. But its not necessary for you to sacrifice your life for mine. By right I should have already died." She had absolutely no clue why she'd just said that, but it just came right out of her mouth. With the kind of life she'd lived up to now, Robin would rather be dead than forget everything at any time.

" If you say I'm cruel, I'm cruel. I'm living." Ados said simply. He then slugged Terry in the shoulder. " Move this metal beast again." he ordered the boy. Terry whined from pain from being hit but started up the truck again. "Happiness is all I have." Ados said suddenly. The middle seat of the truck was down so, he put his legs up onto that. His feet looked like talons of a birds, but with flesh. He only had two toes on the front and one on the back. Complete with sharp large claws. " My race does not have love. No positive emotions. Aside from happiness. So, I have happiness sprouted by negative emotions. I live the way I want. I eat, I steal, I kill. Living that way makes me happy. If I do not live that way, I am unhappy. If I am not cruel, I should be better off dead. " a few seconds after he spoke he kicked Terry a few times with his foot. " Hurry! Go faster! There are demon hunters. Go fast. keep moving or they find me." Ados ordered. After he had kicked and yelled at Terry, the boy started to cry. It wasn't heavy sobs, just whimpers from time to time. "Please...." Terry said softly. He never finished what he was going to say, so Ados wasn't sure if the boy was begging for his own life or the girls.

Robin would have spoke up in defense of Terry, but Ados interrupted with some strange explanations. She blinked in mild surprise at the demon's sudden openness and she stared at him as he spoke. She didn't seem to notice how strangely bird-like the demon's feet looked. Right now, her focus was on what Ados was saying, not what he looked like. Robin never payed attention to what people looked like on the outside anyway.

By the time Ados had finished with what he had wanted to say, Robin was looking over at the demon with a look that seemed both puzzled and full of pity at the same time. "Excuse me for saying so, but I find that kind of life rather... sad." she said simply. "Even if you say you don't have any positive emotions besides Happiness, I don't think that's true. I don't think its possible for anyone to only have one positive emotion and not all the others as well..." However, the look on Ados' face made her stop speaking and she looked away from the demon and at the floor of the truck once again.

"I'm sorry... I guess I've said too much..." she said softly, looking at the floor of the truck still. But she didn't stay that way too long. Robin soon started and began searching her pockets for her notebook that she always carried with her. As she did this, Robin had this rather frantic look on her face.

((alright. I have work tomorrow afternoon from 1:30pm EST to 10pm EST. so I'll probably be on in the evening. I'll try to get on in the morning too though.))

Kasumi was walking deep in the forest again when she heard barks and whines from a pack of wolves near by. Reaching out her mind to theirs, she asked, what is wrong? In their own tongues. Kasumi got barks and whines again in her head that translated to pup! gone! find! Kasumi narrowed her eyes and reasurred the mother wolf. She raced off into the forest, tracking the little puppy. She felt the little burst of frightened emotion and followed it untill she saw a little fuzzy ball of fur dart its way into some underbush and towards a street. Kasumis eyes widened when she heard a truck come this way. Numa! Pusta! Draug!" Kasumi said to stop the wolf pup. Clearly, hearing the elven language, the wolf pup should of stopped, but he was too frightened from something and kept on running. She cursed under her breath and picked up her pace. The pup ran out into the street with the truck coming fast. Kasumi then appeared from a couple of bushes, grabbed the pup, and tucked him under her arm before crashing to the other side of the street.

Translation- Numa= No
Pusta= stop
Draug= wolf

the wolf pack came out from the forests. a few of them walked closer to the elven woman holding their pup. when they were only a few feet from her they sat down and almost appeared to be smiling to her. one of the wolves that stayed back and probably stood out more was a slightly larger white wolf in the back. the white wolf watched closely to the woman and wagged his tail; somthing wolves didnt do... but all the wolves watched her and waited patiently for the woman to do somthing.

Kasumi got up and released the pup. The pup went over to her and licked her arm. She smiled and petted the top of his once. Kasumi went to a sitting position and put one hand over her right arm where she felt a bruise start to form. She looked at the wolves around her and smiled.
