Jameson Van Dosin

"Knowledge is not the same as Wisdom."

James's breath caught in his throat as he felt the fingers of Olivia's hand brush his own. Swallowing hard in an attempt to keep his racing pulse from going out of control, James wondered at the sheer ludicrousness of the entire situation. He'd arrived at Totys with the complete prejudicial mindset that he'd be facing one of the most terrible situations in his life. Now, having stumbled across Olivia, a girl whom he was now finding completely intriguing and... fairly attractive, as well, the young bookworm of the Van Dosin family was finding the current situation to be...

...Well, not so terrible. In fact, somewhat interesting.

Still blushing up a storm, James slowly gripped Olivia's hand in his own and stared at her for a long moment... but then slowly dropped his gaze in embarrassment as he scratched at the back of his head with the other hand and muttered very quietly in dismayed chagrin.

"...Miss Olivia, what do I do or say now? I've read a multitude of books and seen a vast plethora of printed pages... but I don't know a single thing about how to properly court a girl or what to say or how to react. What am I supposed to do now?"

Grimacing at his lack of knowledge or experience in this particular matter, James grumbled under his breath at his own ignorance and struggled to come up with the right answer. He wasn't a person who liked to make wild guesses or simply throw an answer down onto the table out of sheer desperation, but for some reason, that particular option was looking more and more attractive by the minute.
