Welcome to an RP that is the definition of epic, look it up in the dictionary. You'll see our picture right there buddy. Don't know us? Know us and join us, do it now!

This is a roleplay that has spanned over several years now, now a three part saga going from "Epic Of The Twilight" to "Final Dawn" and to "Twilight Crusaders" and now finishing thousands of years after the original two and as a "restart" of the third, comes "Aura Hearts".

The thesis of the roleplay is to have as much freedom as possible, to make a character that is really yours and place them into an epic storyline about saying screw you to fate and doing the impossible. Punch out Gods and defy destiny itself in an epic literate roleplay.

1. Remember first and foremost, respect. This means respect for the rules, respect for other RP'ers and respect for the RP. Try not to bend the RP, other RP'ers or anything else to your suiting or try and make the RP simply about you.


2. Please people, use your common sense. Try to discuss the victor of battles between player characters beforehand so that you don't get 10 page long battles that bore everyone's brains out. Sometimes, you just have to be the bigger man and lose to that god modding, speed hacking and auto-hitting son of a b***h yeah?


3. If you're joining the RP, make sure you can commit to it, I'm sure there'll be times when life sucks and you can't do much about it but try to let us know beforehand.


4. When trying to join. Profiles should be PM'ed to me with the title: "Aura Blazing".


5. Interact with your peers, don't leave anyone out! Chat in OOC, make sure that there's a good RP'ing atmosphere going on yeah? It's much funner to RP with friends than strangers.


6. While romance and character development are truly encouraged as interesting characters is what makes a good RP, please don't do anything truly off the board unless you ask first ^^.

The Collective is the name of the universe in which Aura Hearts takes place in, it is a cosmos across which flows the great Lifestream linking together thousands and millions of worlds. Many worlds, aware and unaware of each-other's existence, some taking it upon themselves to keep the peace; a universe where a force older than life itself stirs, and this, This is it's story. Your story. Everything and everyone's story.

The Life-Stream is the closest thing to God in the Collective, a force as old as the Collective itself, it is the driving force behind all existence. It is a truly massive river of life-energies that flows across the space of the Collective, when a being is born; it is imbued with the life giving energy of the stream and when it dies; it's life energy is collected and recycled by the stream so that life may go on.

The Life-Stream links together millions of worlds making up The Collective, the worlds all have a natural barrier that protects them from being dissolved into the life-stream, this is the barrier that Nith aim to destabilize when they attack a world. Only recently in the last thousands of years have the worlds begun to gain awareness to each-other due to the events that unfolded in the original Twilight where many worlds banded together with other worlds to fight off a common enemy that threatened to devour them all.

Several worlds are still unaware of the existence of other worlds and those that are aware of each-other, are generally so different from each-other in race, culture and technology that they are aliens to one another. World Encyclopedia can be found here.

[ World Travel ]

There are several ways to travel between worlds in The Collective:

Worldship: Crafts and vessels made with special aura and life energy technology, these transports are capable of taking people through the life-stream, they vary greatly in size and scope from small single passenger vessels to massive war-ships.

World Gates: Gateways between worlds developed through advanced technology that safely disassembles a being's life-energy particles and sends it through a tunnel in the life-stream to a relay point where it is reassembled. World Gates are the fastest and often safest way to travel between worlds but unfortunately are unavailable to most worlds due to the advanced level of technology required and the fact that for a world gate to operate.

Rift Jumping: Rift Jumping is similar in nature to World Gate usage in the nature of disassembling one's life energy particles but instead of being guided by a tunnel with a relay point, the individual doing the Rift Jumping has to manually join themselves with the life-stream, using the flow of the stream to transport and deposit themselves at their destination before reassembling themselves.

This method is extremely dangerous and isn't commonly used due to the risks involved such as not being able to control yourself, losing yourself in the flow of the life-stream or being unable to reassemble your particles once reaching your destination, all of which results in the dissolution of your sense of self eventually and recycling by the life-stream.

Nith are malevolent beings created from uncollected life-energy particles and portions of the life-stream corrupted by a overload of malevolent life-energy. They also may appear when the life-stream doesn't agree with the course of events that the Collective is going along, creating these creatures that are it's soldiers to wipe out and return all sentient life back to the life-stream. The creatures can take any form imaginable, all with different abilities to form the most terrifying fighting force that the Collective has ever witnessed, a Nith Beastiary can be found here.

Recently, Nith that bear unusual qualities have begun to surface, Nith that seem to be under the control of a force other than well... the Nith. These Nith are suspected to be artificially created using corrupted life energy which if allowed to go on, could create a precipitation of dark energy to set the stage for a second Twilight. This, this must be stopped at all costs.

Aura.

It has been called a soul, a spirit, the true heart. It is the core of who we are, it is our life-energy incarnate.... our life.

Every person's aura is unique in color, property and shape. A person's aura is only visible when it is being used or if the aura is extremely powerful save for when you are seeking to sense auras.

An aura changes depending on the person's mood, it's properties, color and shape correlates directly to the type of person to which the aura belongs to and it's strength increases as the person learns to control and harness life-energy, when they understand themselves, when they find a reason to use it.

Aura is an almost infinite source of power which is generated by the sheer will to live, by the will to protect or the will to destroy. It is a power that can destroy worlds or protect them, it is a power whose use will be decided by it's future users... you.

Sometimes when the lifestream feels generous or perhaps the time if is of dire need, it gifts a living being with a extraordinary vast reserve of life-energy leading to the gifted being's aura being incredibly powerful and the ability for the gifted being to create a physical manifestation of his aura's power known as:

Nexus

Nexus is a physical manifestation of the life-stream's power in a individual, it can vary from a staff to a blade, a gun to a motorcycle, it is a portion of the infinitely vast power of the life-stream. Due to the limits of human beings, a Nexus has several levels, each stronger than the last that release the limits on the Nexus' power until it's full potential is achieved.

Those who can achieve Nexus are known as Cryasili, there are however beings created in a similar fashion but are created partially or totally by the corrupted portions of the life-stream leading to the creation of a Shadowsili, the Nith counterpart to a Cryasili just as nith energy is quite literally corrupted life energy.

|| T H E + T W I L I G H T ||

[ Note: For new people. This is more or less just a recap of what happened in the first parts of the Twilight series. ]

After the beginnings of the Collective from the life-stream, existing for millions of years, the worlds of the collective developed completely unaware of eachother's existence. It was a blissful existence back then, each world with it's own worries, each world with it's own conflicts. There was one world however, the world of Krux, within the cityscape of Selenas whereupon the leaders knew about the existence of the other worlds.

The leaders agreed to keep it a secret, but the peaceful ignorance of the worlds would not last. Portions of the life-stream began to show strange signs of sentience as if it were a sleeping giant awakening from it's slumber and within a century... The Epic Of The Twilight had begun.

Suddenly seemingly from no where, endless hordes of Nith assaulted every world, tearing them apart and draining them of life-energy until they were dry husks drifting in the life-stream. They seemed to be unstoppable until a equal for their power was found in the Cryasili, champions of the uncorrupted portions of the life-stream and the chosen protectors of the last remnants of sentient life.

A last stand known as the Final Dawn took place across all the worlds against the amassed Nith, every living soldier that fell bolstered the Nith's unstoppable armies in a hopeless battle to buy time for the Cryasili that infiltrated the source of the corruption. The four corrupted cores out of the six cores that joined the lifestream.

There, the Cryasili fought the very life-stream itself in a battle that very quickly became a one sided struggle as the life-stream threw off everything the Cryasili could throw at it. It was then, Saji Vectus, the leader of one the contingents of Cryasili came up with a desperate plan, all the Cryasili gave their remaining strength to him and the priest of Styr created a barrier unlike any had seen before that literally ripped the four cores, the cryasili and corruption from the face of reality and imprisoning them all together in a pocket dimension.

The sentient beings were jubilant in their victory, jubilant to be alive and established the "Keepers", a group of specially trained and recruited Cryasili to watch over the collective of worlds and to ensure such a event would never happen again. Soon the stories of the Epic were but myths and legend.

... Thousands of years later, could it happen again? And this time, will sentient life be as willing to unite as they were before? Or is the life-stream right? Does our Collective need to begin anew, reborn from our ashes?

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a Keeper?

No. Your character can ANYTHING you want, if you don't want to use one of the worlds that currently are on the worlds section, you can even create your own homeworld; it doesn't have to be too much in detail if you don't want it to be an important story arc world.

How Do I Make My Own World?

Easy! Scroll up to "The Collective" section and find the "World Information" section, there's a link there to the world list. On that page, there's a profile skeleton for creating a world that just has to be filled in and sent to a mod to be accepted as a canon Twilight Crusaders world.

Do I have to read the Openings/Endings?

Nope, they're just a nice little extra for those who are interested. You can create a character using all the information listed above basically.

The Collective Defense Treaty is on the verge of being signed between powerful allied worlds, the Nith are down and everything is looking better than ever for the Keepers since their forming after the Twilight.

Although there are still things out there that need to be taken care of, the appearance of Nith performing rather un-Nith-like tasks for example; who heard of the Nith ever kidnapping anyone? Not to mention that there have been rumors of a Shadowsili working within the Keeper Organization itself, with that Shadowsili now on the run... but he'll be caught. They'll make sure of that.

Whatever happens. The Keepers will be the ones who'll deal with it.

B.L.O.C.K I: Introductory Arc

The ships of potential Keepers as well as The Lady of team 9-AC have crashed as a result of an ambush above Vectiras, a World Eater Tower has risen and all hope for survival seems to be lost as reinforcements race to find a way through the World Eater's seemingly impenetrable barrier, a hope arises in the form of Jace Vistus, is his hand really the key to unlocking the barrier?

Jack Sanguine has managed to capture both of his targets, Neera and Shino but guilt plagues him as he travels to hand over a childhood friend who has no idea of his betrayal. Little does the mercenary know that the fate of the Collective rests upon his choice and upon his prisoners as his ship makes it's way to the agreed trade-off point where a payment will be made for the mercenary to be able to live rich for the rest of his life.

:: Opening: Introductory Arc ::

Kanashima Rensa - Aura Hearts OP/MV!? - V2 , By Hiro Ayami !!

[0:00 - 0:20] As the song starts we see a screenshot of Jace’s face with his eyes closed, slowly starting to open them. As he does, the images shift slowly between an identical screenshot of each of the characters finally stopping again at Jace’s, eyes fully opened at 0:14. His Nith eye activates suddenly and the shot zooms into it, coming up to the title: Aura Hearts in whatever its trademark logo will be.

[0:21 - 0:41] Scenes of 9AC relaxing on the Lady appear:

[0:21] Kaito watching Sukai fly around in the mess hall, it zooms in on his head and a gloved hand pats him on the head. It’s revealed to be Mav who then gingerly takes a bite out a cupcake only to have Hales Shadow reach out and pluck it from his fingers. Both Kaito and Mav give chase and as they run past the screen Lucien can be seen, the focus shifts to him for a moment before moving off into a blur at the next scene.

[0:33] A distant shot of Althalia and Telosia shown next discussing something near the engine room, Rai can be seen looking at them annoyed through her peripheral vision. A bolt slips from Rai’s work and falls into Telosia’s cleavage and she stumbles over herself to get it out. Althalia is killing herself laughing while Rai face palms, Telosia looks indignant.

[0:42 - 1:04] A Red light goes off along with what should be obviously a warning alarm. It then goes back to Althalia, Telosia, and Rai where they are looking up.

It then cuts to a similar scene, Mav with an awkward hold on Hale’s Shadow, Sukai apparently helping him out, Kaito climbing on top of Hale trying to get the Cupcake now in the Captain’s hand, and Lucien still looking on unamused. As the alarm is going off they seem to forget everything and run off to their respective positions.

Keeper uniform jackets of various types are then grabbed off of coat racks, beds, chairs, floors, etc, and there seems to be a flurry of motion around the ship as it cuts to various locations, stopping on the bridge of the Lady finally where Hale can be seen. We get a close up of his face and his glasses become transparent revealing his serious look before he throws his arm out in front of him and the Lady is shown to be firing all of her weapons at once.

[1:05 - 1:30] The ship is now inside the atmosphere and battle and explosions are occurring all around it.

Mav is now seen free falling (unexplainably), the screen follows him as he spins, his twin guns in hand, firing rounds that are destroying Nith in small explosions all around. He spins out of the way to reveal Telosia who was charging a powerful spell, letting it loose on a blue beam just as Mav was out of the way. The magic smashes into the ground freezing waiting Nith all around it. Althalia and Kaito (along with Sukai) both swoop in, Kaito creating a whirlwind above Nith, destroying them, while Althalia is flying around carving up Nith with her board. Lucien is now on the ground, Nith jumping at him from all directions, all of which he cuts down in an instant and a blur of fast attacks.

Back on the ship Rai is seen giving out orders to the Engineering team, things are breaking and sparking all around them and she shouts out something right before the screen moves away and into black briefly.

[1:31 - 1:52] The scene is now focused on Jace walking alone, he appears kind of lonely, and then Mei appears with Buki. She grabs his hand and drags him forward with a happy smile, as the screen closes in on Jace’s face he smiles happily as he’s dragged along.

[1:42] Jack is walking along with Neera, explaining things in over exaggerated flare, and while not talking, Neera seems to be faintly smiling and nodding. She goes to write something in her book before she notices Jace ahead.

[1:53 - 2:17] The screen splits into two as Jack and Jace meet, showing both their upper torso and faces to the right and left of the screen respectively, with a shot of them along with Mei and Neera at their sides as they converge on each others paths. Then, in an instant both of their Aura’s activate and they charge each other, and as they meet the screen flashes white and a shot of both calm and back to back, still in the midst of finishing their attacks off. The shot pans out and reveals they both stabbed a Nith, Jace’s arm clear through one along with Jacks knife in another.

A shot of Mei and Neera is then seen as they both seem concerned, Mei calling out while Neera tries to but can’t. As Jace and Jack’s attention is drawn to the two girls, Shino appears between both of them, a metal shield forming above them to shield them from a Nith energy blast. The group is then seen surrounded by various Nith.

[2:18 - 2:46] Jace and Jack are now seen fighting together, side by side, obliterating Nith in sync, while Mei is nimbly dodging attacks and jumping from Nith to Nith. She slips however and is almost hit until Neera stops one with her Gravity ability, crushing it off screen. She seems troubled for a second but offers her hand to Mei who takes it and the two continue to fight.

It then cuts to Shino, surrounded by rings of metal positioned defensively and small spikes floating, and behind them he is shooting his pistols. It cuts to his eyes briefly which darken before his aura flares out around him and the spikes fly out to impale all the Nith nearby. As he looks up he can see the space battle the Preposterous is having.

[2:47 - 3:02] On the bridge of the Preposterous Matt is shouting out command orders while the ship is performing evasive maneuvers escape pods flying out of it along with cannon fire for cover. Cutting to the bridge once again it shows a gigantic Sky Titan taking up the entire viewing port then to Matt’s unblinking and determined eyes. Holding the navigation firmly the Preposterous is seen dragging the Sky Titan down behind it via chains.

[3:03 - 3:23] The entire crew of the preposterous is shown looking at the ship (and Matt) going down in front of the escape pods, they’re giving an honorable salute but Alahalm shouts out to gain their attention, Raziel is seen flying above, sword drawn, a “bring it” grin on her face as she charges down, and from the angle Entropy dashes past sword drawn, pistol firing round after round. Cutting back to the group, Haine is kneeling beside Trysten who is quite obviously injured, her aura flaring.

A shot of advancing Nith is then shown followed Alaham and his toothy grin opening up his Aura, engulfing him and a large group of Nith in blinding light, however Haine jumps over and disrupts his attack. Alaham just wears another smug smile, Haine’s sword flashing over his face cutting into several Nith, destroying them. Nith “black inky stuff” splashes up around her like blood, her eyes glowing with anger.

[3:24 - 3:48] Jack, Jace, Shino, Neera, and Mei (with Buki!) appear to help defend the escape pods. Flying out of no where and unleashing their attacks on the enemy. They clear a majority out but then a larger shadow blots them out and a gigantic Nith is hovering above the group. A blast of energy, white and dark, spear into the Gigantic Nith and then Leonoka bursts through a cloud of smoke, slashing into it (with his two swords). Pieces of the giant Nith start to fall, forming smaller Nithlings raining down on the newly gathered group.

Nithling falling onto the crew and passengers are shot out of the sky by gunfire then sliced down by Althalia on her Skysplicer. While a whirlwind seizes Nith attacking Alahalm, similarly Entropy and Raziel are saved through ice magic freezing enemies around them, followed by Lucien smashing them down in an instant. Finally Jace, Shino, Jack, Mei, and Neera are saved by Hale using his shadow to consume Nith.

[3:40] The battle seems to have died down, and it shows Jace overlooking the destruction, then to his Nith-like hand. He seems to be regretting something but a bright light starts to blind him, moving his hand in front of his eyes to shield them and then inspect the source he sees the entire roster standing, rising sun behind them, waiting for him on the horizon. Giving off a happier smile he runs towards the group, onto new adventure and to seek out his own path.

:: Ending: Introductory Arc/Siege Of Vectiras ::

[0:00] A quickly changing shots of: the darkened sky, a massive crashed worldship, the remains of a massive Nith structure and then the sky again except it is clearing away now, revealing a beautiful blue sky. [0:04] The sky is beginning to clear up, the shot is drifting across the now clearing blue sky above the coast of Aedif, beautiful despite the wreckage scattered across it. The camera slowly moves down to the beach where a lone figure is standing. [0:10] The camera snaps to a zoom in on the figure who is revealed to be Jace, the camera moves to behind him where it gazes out to the ruined tower. [0:14] The camera changes to a wobbly Jace's point of view as he inspects his Nith arm, which is clenched as he looks out to the sea. [0:18] A blurry figure wearing white with a cross strapped to his back appears standing at the edge of the beach where the water is lapping against the shore, he has blond hair and bears a remarkable resemblance to Jace from behind, the Nith arm is reached out trying to reach him.

[0:22] The camera snaps in to a close up of the figure as he turns around, the background becomes a blurry white, unfocused except on the figure's face as he turns and smiles comfortingly, the white consumes the screen. [0:25] The white fades to Mattheis' point of view as he returns to consciousness in the ruins of the Preposterous, a chunk of the worldship torn off and a hand offered to him by Hale to help him up. Matt takes the hand, being pulled out of the ruins where he stands next to Telosia and Hale, he looks concerned, asking the two of them something, they both smile and point, Matt looks on. June and Rai are below in the ruins of the ship scavenging parts, they wave.

[0:31, a change on each guitar strum] A shot, in the sunlight now, of Trill fussing over an unmasked Lucien who is seems to be blushing/annoyed by the treatment, the two of them are both pretty bruised and battered. A shot of a pretty beaten up Joshua being supported by Mav and Athalia, who are also pretty battered and scratched. A shot of Leonoka carrying a sleeping Kaito in his arms, Buki on his shoulder and Mei hanging on his back, all of them look pretty roughed up.

[0:35] The mysterious blond, his clothing billowing in the wind in a blurry white background, he reaches out gesturing to Jace who rushes out to try and grasp his hand; the camera switching to his point of view as he does; the hand falls through as the boy fades away into the light with the hand going off screen for a moment as it misses. When it comes back onscreen, it isn't Jace's hand but Jack's gloved hand. [0:43] Snaps to a shot of a distressed/scared looking Jack, his face with his hand held in front of him in the blurry white background, his mouth is open. He cries out and slams his hand against something in anger, the white light melting away to reveal the inside of the Firehawk.

[0:51] Neera and Shino sitting in a cell, the two of them look downcast and battered but especially Neera who is sitting at the window looking outside. The shot snaps to Shino's face looking in her direction with a look of boredom, then Neera's face gazing outside and finally the sky outside. [0:58] A shot of Jack sitting at a bar from behind and a distance first, the camera zooms in on his depressed looking face as he swishes the remains of his drink around. [1:01] The shot is dual sided, showing the sun setting on Adamitte and Vectiras; beautiful traceries of life energy are present in both sunsets as night engulfs both worlds. A small orb of this energy floats through the darkness past Jack and then Jace, the two of them [1:06] The two of them seem to come to a resolution in the darkness, the life energy spirals into the air and fades away as the two of them light up their auras into flames (white/gray and red respectively), this phase ends with a shot of the spiral of life energy glowing in the center with them on either side of it, their auras entwining with the center one to create a massive beacon of light, the camera zooming out to reveal it illuminating the entire night sky.

[1:16] Neera is sitting in the cell looking depressed, now not watching the window anymore, Shino gestures to the window, she looks out and looks surprised as the entire cell is bathed in the glow of the pillar of aura. [1:22] Jace, still glowing with aura energy, turns from facing the island's inner forest (around where the cast of Keepers and potential Keeper characters are gathered after the battle supporting eachother and looking on at the sight) to facing the sea across from where a the pillar of green light is coming from.

[1:29, one change per "strum/beat" ] A shot of Jack, his aura illuminating the dark entrance to the cell where Shino and Neera are being held, a shot of Shino turning around with a dry expression on his face, a shot of Neera turning around in surprised joy and a shot of the four of them now outside facing the pillar of green life energy in the night sky.
