Castello shifted his weight, sighing. "Target went into the woods. We'd be able to see where he was if they'd taken him in there, not gonna pursue unless I see more movement in that direction," he said to Fala. "Think I'm gonna look for new leads, start with the tracking device."
He started to turn away to bring up the map when he heard the crunch of paws on gravel and turned back. His vision flared as his visor switched to infrared, and he saw an indistinct body moving between buildings. "I got somebody, moving in. I'm seeing digitigrade legs, looks canine."
"Yeah," he heard Fala sigh, "Y'know I can see all this too."
He rolled his eyes at the inflection of her voice, one he recognized well. "Yeah, but I know you're not really paying attention. Going in." He crouched back and pushed off hard with both legs, leaping smoothly across the wide gaps between buildings as he made his way from rooftop to rooftop. The cloaked agent stood above the alley Dawn was slinking through, back on normal visual. "Alright, confirmed canid, and she's packin' heat. Looks stolen or black-market, but it's all ballistic stuff. Looks like I've found myself a little terrorist," he murmured. "Will pursue to base and terminate."
