User ImageDaphene had kept an eye out for the surroundings. She hadn't been in the area too often, but she was aware of it. She had listened in on the conversation and managed to gather names. Scanning the area once more, she remembered a store a friend of hers owned. For emergencies there was a key in a plant.

"Okay... Everyone and their mom is entranced with the news right now. I've got a friend of mine who owns a shop not far from here. I'm not sure if she's there or not, but we should be welcomed... at least briefly," Daphene stated. "If so, we can rest there for a bit," she paused. "Figure out a plan to get the hell out of here."
With that, she guided the group through the cave terrain to avoid unneccesary attention. After going through many alley ways and stalagmites, they reached a store with its lights off. Appearing to be empty, Daphene went around the back and knocked on the door. There was no answer. She knelt down by a small plant and felt around. Her fingers grasped a small rusted key. Carefully opening the shop door, she motioned the group to follow.

Jerimiah headed n, ushering in the rest of the group and then asked "Where can I put ol' sleepy head here?" Jerimiah then motioned to the silent monk on his shoulders which had been the cause of so much infernal trouble.

He was glad that had stopped by the stream because he had washed his side off of puke with the water from it. He could still smell a lingering scent but nothing too horrible.

"Care to enlighten us on your next plan, erm, what is your name?" He asked the leader of the group.

The radio was going nuts with what was going on in the location in which it was happening in. "These humanoids and their sons of blocked things..." He softly says as he looks down at his radio, squenting his eyes to get a closer look as he noticed something funny was happening to it...in a split second of him doing that, sparks shoot out of the radio as it begins to crackle and fizzle. At that point he stopped walking as he looked down at the smoke coming out of the speaker of the radio...it was finally broken. "...hmph..." He felt like saying something more witty or pissy...but it wouldn't help the situation now would it? As he takes one final look at something that has raised his hopes of finding memory or life in which to achieve his ultimate goal, he drops the radio right down on the floor, so that the plants growing around the room could claim it for their own.

After making his way around the building he finally came across a room with a computer, which was the jackpot to him...though his hopes were shot out of the air quickly as he notices all the plants and roots coming out of the monitor and tower, though an idea popped in his mind as the basics of a computer was one of the small things that he remembered when exiting the capsule. He walks up to the tower of the computer and pulls it out of the vines keeping the tower in place so that he could work more openly with it. He digs his hands into the side of the tower as he takes the side of it off, tossing it to the side so that he could see the insides of it. He examined it closely as he say that some plants and vines had managed to make their way into the computer thanks to a small crack in the back. Most of the stuff was either claimed for the plants or destroyed from the events from a long time ago...but one thing was luckily in tact and in mint condition. "The RAM..." He softly said as he reached into the computer and worked around the screws and stuff holding down the RAM into the computer, gently pulling it out and examining it as soon as he was done.

"...It's useless now...but maybe I can find a computer that isn't destroyed..." He says outloud as a little hatch on the side of his hip armor opens up like a pocket, he lets the RAM drop in their as he closes the hatch. "Yeah...and I have a better chance at getting into a fist fight with a flying pig..." He said with a sigh as he made his way out of the room...he was done here with this building so there was not much sense in staying any longer. It took him a bit to get through the plants in the building again, but he managed to get out with all of his circuits and body parts attached. He then looked up towards the sky...he couldn't really tell the time but he knew one thing, he could use some rest.
Pierre sat silently on the edge of the building's roof and yawned widely, not wholly interested in the small group that entered the store across the street. The girl leading the group looked hot though. He wondered if she'd date him if he hit on her? Maybe. And that one guy that was carrying the funny looking robed dude. He looked familiar somehow. Maybe I should check these guys out... He thought to himself. Pierre slid off the roof to the ground, flapping his wings to slow his descent. When he landed, he walked across the street toward the store, one paw deep in his jacket, fingering the trigger of one of the dual Desert Eagles concealed in holsters within. He stopped just outside the shop's door and rapped on the glass with a claw. "Yo!"

John woke up in a tube with everything feeling numb.

"John? John? Are you conscious John?" the synthesized voice asked him. It took John a few moments to remember just how everything worked. Soon he could speak again. Other memories were coming back now too.

"Yes, yeah, I'm awake Harvey. Jus-just cold," the side of the cyro tube opened with a hiss and John tumbled out. He got his hands and feet under him carefully. His body was still slick with the cyro compound. A section of the wall opened to reveal a small shower.

"I'm sorry John, power constraints prevented me from heating the pods to comfortable levels. Please clean yourself and dress, we have a number of rising concerns," Harvey told him. John shook the fogginess out of his head and stood up.

------------------------

Soon he was feeling somewhat better in his uniform and sitting in the conference room of Heavenward Station, sipping a bag of cold coffee. The cryo-pods and conference room were all part of a gently turning ring which was designed to provide residents with simulated gravity. He mulled the news from Harvey over in his head. The solar panels had been repaired so Harvey could keep the rest of the frozen crew alive.

What worried him was the need for fuel. Heavenward was gradually falling into the Earth's atmosphere. Harvey said that there had been no communications from mission control for sixty seven years. Sensors still indicated some activity on the surface. Sensors and Earth face cameras also showed him the first and last years of what looked like a war.

At first there was nothing, then lights blossomed on the planets surface. Explosions, nuclear ones by the looks of the data Harvey was showing him. He reviewed the television and radio transmissions from that time period.

Harvey was already priming a landing shuttle for him to head to the surface. John got up, finished his coffee, and headed for the shuttles. He could feel the shock building up in him but he forced it back.

"Is all well John?" Harvey asked him as he suited up.

"Yeah, Harvey, I'm about to land on the surface of Earth, sans the friendly nations or any nation for that matter. Make sure a lander and an exoskeleton are loaded onto the shuttle," He ducked into a hatch and climbed down the ladder into a shuttle.

"Yes, John," Harvey replied, "Launching Shuttle One," the hatch closed and Shuttle One detached from the bottom of Heavenward Station and fired its thrusters into the silence of space. Descending toward the surface of the planet.
User ImageShe jumped at the sudden noise. Where did he come from all of a sudden? she wondered.
Pierre grinned slyly, showing a bit of fang. "Hmm, so you finally noticed me, huh?" He looked the confused girl up and down. "Name's Pierre, and I'd like to let you know that I could've killed all of you a million times over before you even noticed I was there." he said, pulling out one of his Eagles and spinning it idly on a finger.
User ImageFajin's body finally began to function correctly, his eyes burst open, and his other two lungs began to swell. In a burst of movement spurred by a combination of shock and fear he leaped off the man carrying him. His landing seemed graceful enough for someone in his condition, and the second his feet touched the ground his hands flurried into an aggressive stance. "Explanations are required.. now," he said as forcefully as his sects rules would allow.

His eyes were darting to and fore analyzing each person individually and deciding that his special ability would be needed to defeat them but he held his ground not knowing that they had seen his power before. His thought where moving so fast that he could barely understand them himself, shifting form different reasons he would awake in such an odd place too where his staff was, and even about how attractive and young the people around him were.
Pierre was caught by surprise as the robed guy suddenly sprang up into a defensive stance, staring wildly around the room, but quickly snapped out of it. His paws were a blur as he raised Lumis and drew Umbra, pointing both of the weapons at the monk's head.Years of ambushes by soldiers had taught him to be quick on the draw, and it hadn't changed now. "What the hell? weren't you just out cold?" He regained his mellow composure and still grinning said "Well, I wouldn't make any sudden moves my friend, not unless you want to see what your brain looks like splattered on that wall back there."
User Image"And if I were you, I would watch who or rather what you threaten," he said contracting the muscles around his lungs and channeling it into a centered blast rather than the normal cone. The air quickly shot out of his mutated throat to form a deafening blast of sonic energy directly at what the monk thought was one of the guards. The sound was audible to all but the force of the scream was centered on the bat like creature threatening him. The power of this concentrated blast was a power to be reckoned with for any creature but knowing of bats and their sensitive ears made this attack far more logical than any other he could do.

(Never threaten monks they cannot attack unless threatened sweatdrop )
To a human, this noise would be ear shattering, But to Pierre's sensitive ears, the monk's scream seemed to tear into his very soul. "ARRRGHHH!" he screamed, as the blast of sound hit him with the force of a freight train, blowing him clear out of the shop and into the wall of the building across the street, his guns skidding in two directions from his hands on impact. He grabbed hold of his ears, writhing on the ground in maddening agony. "ARRGH! YOU SON OF A- ARRGH!"
User Image
"n-NO!" she shouted, the loudest sound she'd ever been known to make, running between the two,
wings spread wide in hopes of protecting the bat creature as well as keep the monk from danger.

I can't let this happen! No more trouble can happen today!

As the wind hit her wings, the leather-like skin pulled tight over bone, and like a sail pushed her
forward, knocking her into this yet other person whom she was inclined to protect.
"Let that be a lesson to you, aggression leads you to destruction and never threaten an opponent you do not understand," he yelled at his prone opponent. His lungs were already refilling with air as his other two became ready to fire another blast. "I have no wish to fight any of you but I will defend myself by every means possible," he said calmly not looking at any of them intently. His stance was shaking under the new stress he was putting on his body, as he had yet to fully recover from his loss of blood.
Pierre writhed on the ground. Pain the likes of which he had never imagined arced through every fiber of his being, threatening to drive him mad. He found it impossible to compose a thought that was coherent, even to himself, much less grab for his guns to put paid to the b*****d who had done this to him. He opened his eyes just in time to see a beautiful figure floating toward him on gentle wings, almost like an angel descending from Heaven itself. He wanted to sit up, to be consumed by the angel's glory but he couldn't even manage to move his paws from his ears. If he recovered from this, he'd make that monk pay in blood.
