It was a strange thing, change. You could know it was coming, or be completely blind sided by it, and it didn't matter. It would still take your world and turn it upside down. Psyche, being part of the Royal family, had believed that she was protected against change. Nothing happened without her say so, after all. She was in charge of her life, There was no one, not even her parents, that truly commanded her.

Staring at the empty room that had once housed her entire life within it's walls, Psyche could taste the bitter bile of defeat.

She had thrown a fuss of course, when her father had first told her the news. At first, she had considered it a joke. Her? Marry one of those... dogs? She was a princess, Vampire royalty! Such things were beneath her. However, the longer her father did not laugh along with her, the more she began to realize that he was being serious. It was with that in mind, and being spurred on by the growing feel of panic that was bubbling up in her chest, that she began to throw the biggest temper tantrum this house hold had ever seen. She Kicked, she screamed, she broke priceless artifacts, maimed servants and paid no heed to anyone who tried to calm her down.

It took a full week, and all her cries and anger hadn't done anything to stop this stupid arrangement.

It was a few minutes before anyone dared to approach her, some timid maid who she had never seen before, or hadn't cared to notice. With a shuddering voice, the maid told her that all her things were packed up, and her mother and father... (No, they were the King and Queen now. She would claim no relation to those who had sold her to her worst enemy.) were waiting by the front doors, ready to see their children Pawns, off. Turning bright orange-gold eyes toward the quivering girl, Psyche regarded her coldly. Mousy, eager to please, afraid. She would never do in her circle.

With a snarl, Psyche reached out, gripping her by her throat and squeezing, watching with furious eyes as she turned slowly from peach to blue to purple. It would be easy, far to easy, to crush her neck, snap it under her delicate fingers, but what would killing her do? Most certainly not get her out of this ... farce. With a disgusted scoff, she dropped the maid, stepping over her without a second glance.

"Never address me, bottom dweller. Learn your place." She spoke, the tone harsh and unforgiving.

With an ease that only came with years of living here, she maneuvered her way through the many halls and staircases of her castle home. She allowed her fingers to trace over the walls, and for one very private moment, let the sadness she was feeling, the anguish to slip onto her features. This would be the last time she was here, possibly forever depending on what happened. It hurt, almost as much as it had hurt to leave her Spanish home so long ago.

Why? why had this happened to her? What had she done? Made some higher power angry, obviously. It was the only explanation for all this madness.

Once she approached the door, where she could see the King and the Queen standing by the door to bid her farewell, her face had returned to the stony anger that had become a constant these past few weeks. Psyche breezed right past them, not sparing them a look as she climbed into the back of the car that was to take her to her new... home.

                                                  Ugh.

She ignored the biting sting that had bloomed behind her eyes, and stared forward.

                                                  "Drive"
                                                  ••••

It took a long time, longer then she cared for with such a chatty driver, but finally, finally she made it. Pulling up to the mansion, even Psyche had to shut up and stare in awe. A huge sprawling mansion surrounded by trees and woods, a carefully manicured garden?

                                                  How storyesque.

Psyched exited her car with a slam of her car door, paying no mind to the driver as he tried to speak to her, again, and walked briskly up to the door. As far as she could smell, she was the only one here.

Good, it wasn't tainted with dogs yet.

Just where were her siblings though? Oh well, the more time she had to herself, the better. She wanted nothing more then to just spend her time here, alone, away from everything and everyone... She wouldn't have to deal with this if that was the case.

She knew that wasn't going to happen though, so she moved, sniffing through the scents in the house to find her own, where her luggage had been placed. She might as scope out her room while she had the chance.

Annalisa "Anna" Mercilles

Anna placed one last set of knickers in the top zipper pocket of her suitcase. She rolled her eyes and dramatically zipped close the pocket. Thanks, mom and dad. Real nice of you to sell me off like some cheap piece of trash. She yelled for someone to come get her luggage, and eventually one of the maids that Anna hated rushed in and bowed.
"Whatever. Just take my luggage down and have them prepare a car for me." She huffed at the young maid. The maid winced at her harshness, which made Anna smirk.

Once in the car, her careful green eyes scanned the landscape as it flew by. Some twitchy driver drove her to this unfamiliar stupid mansion. He kept trying to ask questions and she'd just threaten his measly little worthless life. Eventually they got there, and he survived for just one more day. She mumbled unintelligibly under her breath and stared at the guy through the window of the car. She looked at him with a bewildered look, it was his stupid job to unload her luggage. What a t**t. She shook her head and watched as his stubby little midget legs hurried up the stairs, carefully toting her blue luggage.
"Drop that and i'll have your head beautifully displayed on a pike." She sneered at him. When entering the mansion she caught the scent of her spoiled rotten younger pest of a sister. She rolled her eyes and yelled at the driver to take her bags to her room. He dropped her luggage in a room that was smaller and less cutely decorated than the one she had at home. She groaned and waved her hand impatiently at the driver to leave her be. When alone, she sat down on her bed with a drink in her right hand, a book about murderers from the 17th century in the other. As long as I'm left alone, this should be a good night.

"Such is the way things are." The vampire king's rumbling voice washed over Moira who was dwarfed in his presence. He stood a monstrous 6'5" with thick limbs and wisdom written across his face. Silver made it's presence in his hair, much like Moira's and it glinted as he placed a large hand on her slender shoulder. "Things will be okay, you look wonderful." The Queen was equally as domineering in her presence but not due to her height, just her demeanor. The silver haloed vampire let out a soft sigh and pulled at her robe. Her parents had noted the distaste oozing from each child and had promptly crushed their qualms by saying there is no other way. Moira has always taken different tactics to get what she wanted, rather than throwing a fit she had tried to reason with her parents. There was no need for all six of them to wed, just the oldest! If they were truly trying to unite the kingdoms, would there not be reason to have their siblings (primarily Moira) to stay in their stead and cultivate a council? What about their aging war leaders? Whatever the young Vampiress suggested her father simply shook his head at. It was not to be that way, he wanted the two nations united completely. It was not a modern tactic but one vested in ancient traditions, something that was unexpected. The second youngest looked to both of her parents and feigned a smile, not budging as her siblings rushed passed her, all eager to scorn the King and Queen, all filled with contempt. "and such is to be expected of Psyche. I see my ride waiting. I will do my best to make peace with the wolves." She embraced them both and stepped into an inconspicuous car. Inside a shy boy was waiting, half naked clutching a glass bottle of water.

"Your g-grace, I'm here t-to feed-" Moira placed a hand on his and held it softly. "Don't be nervous Calmo. This is not the first time I have fed on you. I have chosen you because you are strong and have pure blood, I won't do anything to harm you. Now come." The boy gulped visibly and squeezed her hand, allowing her to draw his wide wrist to her lips. A pinprick made him jump and his eyes lolled into the back of his skull as she sucked and rolled her tongue over the open vein. He prayed he would last the car ride.

                                  ----

The ride there was long and Moira emerged stiff and rejuvenated. Her meal hobbled out beside her and excused himself off to find his type of food. The mansion was nice but not great, it was not exactly the type of architecture Moira longed for. However this wasn't a place to live, these were the grounds for a twisted match-making service. She glided through the courtyard, admiring the landscape of the gardens and opened the large door, peering inside. The sunlight made her yellow garb glow and her hair reflect light wildly, she looked like an omen if one was not attentive. Moira ventured deeper into the Mansion and picked up a familiar peachy smell along with appropriately paired footsteps. "Psy is it just us here?" She poked herself around the corner and raised an eyebrow at her younger sister. Moira's sense of smell was not quite as keen as her siblings, but she made up for that with her vast knowledge she supposed.

Wynrse had accompanied his Mistress in silence, listening to her rant and watching her rampage, he didn't try to stop her when she grabbed the maid. There was no point, he knew her well enough to know she'd not waste the effort, so he'd not waste his breath. Almost like a tall shadow me went with her, as ordered with his mask on and the long dark robes covering him, he said nothing. Sitting in the car and reflecting on how he'd come from solider, to Nanny, now to an escort? Really he was almost like decoration at some times, which was fine with him, but still he hoped he could bring some semblance of stability to this new life of hers. Personally he was against this entire idea, call it negative, but he doubted this would work at all. Despite his doubts, he could do nothing to sabotage it. Maybe it was time for the fighting to stop, after all humans were a far greater issue as of late and the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

The silent partner looked about and indeed, there was a few of the Madam's sister's here and he could scent where her room was, he only hoped it was of decent size or that might be something he would hear about as well. It was his job and so he followed behind her, saying nothing, that little addition that was there when she needed it. As well as the reign her in, he was the only one who dared to get away with it, he'd watched her since birth, he knew what to do. This place was a blank slate, but it was only a matter of time until those dogs came in here.

Red eyes stared intently down at the porcelain bowl as slender hands grasped a whisk and stirred the content inside. Raphael had been up all night, he had been unable to sleep; the inevitable troubles of the days ahead keeping him tossing and turning in his bed. From a young age, Raphael had found that only two things could ease his troubled mind; feeding and cooking. Most of the time he chose the feeding over the cooking, however this time, he chose the second of the two after a long and calculated debate –with himself- ended with the prince deciding that he was far too tired and lazy to leave the castle. It was his last night in his home, and for the first time in his life, he wished he had cherished his time there more.

The oven clock pinged and Raphael, lost in his thoughts, continued to stir the buttercream he had been prepping. “Prince Raphael…” A voice called to him, but landed on deaf ears as the prince reminisced of fond memories from his childhood. “Sire...” A hand touched his shoulder and the warmth knocked Raphael from his thoughts. His eyes shot to stare at the source and met the hazel orbs of a young maid who had been helping him in the kitchen. Fear spread over her features as she quickly withdrew her hand. “I..I’m sorry it’s just… the cupcakes your highness, they are finished.” His eyes moved from the fear stricken face to the oven. “So they are.” He said after a moment of silence before walking over to the oven and opening the door. He pulled out the cupcake tray and placed the cakes on a cooling rack amongst the rest of the food he had made that night, successfully filling the last of the free spaces in the castles huge kitchen.

Leaning back against a counter, the prince bought a glass of wine up to his lips, taking a sip as he admired the vast array of his creations. He had thought that after a long night of cooking, he would have had a sense of joy as he marveled at the dishes he had prepared, but looking at the many dishes of food just made it painfully clear to him that he was worried and annoyed about the arrangement his parents had forced them all in to.

“Excuse me sire.” Another voice intruded his thoughts and Raphael simply glanced up from his wine glass at a doorway where another maid stood. “What is it?” He asked as the other maid stepped into the room. “It’s time to leave sire.” Raphael’s features hardened, just thinking about living among those disgusting dogs angered him. He didn't want to share a room with them, he didn't want the mutts to think that they were equals. No, just thinking of sharing the same air space with the wolves made Raphael's blood boil. The glass shattered in his hand and the maids let out a fearful gasp as Raphael let the shards fall to the ground. He said nothing, just stood as the 2 maids moved to clean up the mess he had made, their hands shaking with fear.

                                            And then it happened.

The maid winced, a shard of glass lodging itself into her finger. Before she could even think about what to do next Raphael was on her. He grabbed her wrists, pinning her up against a wall, a smile spreading across his face as he listened to the other maid scramble to her feet and leave the room. “That looks painful.” Raphael remarked as he watched blood well up around her wound. She opened her mouth to speak, to plead for his mercy but fear had taken her and no words would leave her lips. “Now now, don’t be scared.” Raphael cooed, as he moved her finger to his lips and gently removed the small glass shard with his teeth.

He could feel her heart beating, feel it quicken as he got closer to her. “Don’t worry,” He said moving so his lips touched the skin of her neck. “This won’t hurt a bit.” Raphael whispered, running his fangs along the soft curve of her neck, letting out a soft chuckle when he heard her whimper. And then, he bit.

Blood flowed from her veins into his mouth, flooding it with the sweet taste that he always craved. Like a baby suckling from a mother, Raphael drank, he could drain her, drink all of her until she was nothing more then an empty blood bag but as her pulse slowed, he stopped. She would not be dying today. After all, without her, his cupcakes would have burned. “You taste delicious.” Raphael said with a smirk, “You should have a taste.” He whispered, as he planted a kiss on the maid’s lips, staining her lips with her own blood. He released her and let her fall to the ground, she was conscious but very weak. Someone would find her there, no doubt the other maid will return for her co-worker.

“I think I’m ready to leave now.” Raphael announced to no one in particular. He pulled open a drawer and grabbed a small sealable bag. Picking a few of his warm cupcakes from the rack, he threw them in the bag and sealed it up before leaving the kitchen.

Stepping outside, Raphael couldn't help but to smile at the sight of his younger brother, Dimitri.“Anyone want some cupcakes?” He asked, holding up the bag. “If not I’m sure we can feed them to the dogs.” Raphael said with a little chuckle as the driver opened the car door for the brothers

Crystal clear blue eyes stared into the mirror of an old room that would never be touched again. The time spent in this room with siblings, parents, and alone meant nothing to the man in the mirror anymore. Brushing fingers through short hair it took all he head not to break the mirror that was in front of him. Saddened by the choices his parents made, no the choices the King and Queen made. They were no longer his family, They were a distant memory he would forever hold. Now, he was to be pushed off somewhere to marry a dirty mutt. The idea of ever touching one made his pale skin crawl. He growled and flung his large hand at the mirror. It skidded a crossed the room and broke into pieces. Stepping over to his bed that was stripped and only a mattress now lay suitcases the maid spent the last few days packing his bags. Embroidered in the far left in fold there were two letters XM. Xavier Mercilles. Normally he would have held his last name with pride, but now he hated the look of it. Running his fingers a crossed the lettering he could only imagine how his sisters were taking this. He remembered the week long temper tantrum Psyche had threw and how it didn't phase the king and queen at all. Xavier felt that they no longer cared for their six children and felt it was better to send them off to marry dogs. God, how would their children appear. Hybrids. Poor things.

Xavier was starving, but new he must finish getting dressed before he could do anything. However the stomach pains were growing stronger. He gripped he's bare stomach. A feeling of hard abs and muscles under his fingers. Xavier was always outside, always working to look his best. He never had a hair out of place. Never wanting anyone to see the worst of him always the best. He finally caved, no blood would be left on his chest he called for a maid. Esmay he thought her name might be, he was so horrible with names or was it simply because he did not care. The blonde came stepping around the corner. Perky, but frightened by the six foot six man who stood in front of her. All muscle. "Shut the door, sweets." he whispered looking to her. She did as she was told and blankly looked at him. "Come." Xavier said holding his hand out to the girl. She grabbed it and he pulled her in tightly. No lovey dovey stuff needed he sunk his fangs into her neck. Drinking till the craving was gone.

Xavier pushed her away and picked up a towel to wipe out his mouth clean. The young girl placed her hand over her neck and stared at him with green eyes. "Go now." he snarled at her. She fled and he turned to continue what he was doing. He stood in black jeans and dress oxfords. Picking up a white dress shirt he slide it over his skin, quickly buttoning it up he grabbed a black dress jacket. Snapping the one button and then placing a watch on his wrist. Xavier was down the steps and ready for his ride. Maids were carrying his bags down and loading the car. Xavier had wished to ride alone and not see his parents

The drive was far too long for his liking, but he stayed quiet the entire ride there. When they pulled up to the mansion he stared at it from the car window. Smelling that two his sisters arrived. The car driver opened his door and Xavier stepped out, smoothing his jacket out before stepping up the stairs of the mansion. The driver would retrieve his luggage and bring it to the room who choose.

Her room was... adequate she supposed. Too contrast for her liking, but the fireplace and small sitting area far away from any window was perfect for her little art moments. However there was only one very HUGE problem with it.

                                                  "One Bed. There's ONE bed."

Psyche starred at the offending singular object, her teeth grinding together painfully until she could taste the copper and salt flavor of her own blood. She'll kill them. She'd kill all of them! Every single last person who hand anything to do with this. The Kings and queens, the mutts and their servants too, for good measure. Along with anyone who stood in her way.

One hand had been resting on a granite tabletop, and with a loud scratching sound, the tabletop exploded with hundreds of cracks spidering out from under her hand. Psyche blinked, the noise snapping her out of her rage for a moment, and stared. It was a well known fact that Vampires had exceptional strength, especially the pureblooded Royals, and Psyche was no acceptation. The power she held in her little pinky would be enough to topple a house, and even without training, she was a force to be reckoned with. Sure she had little to know fighting experience, just a few self defense moves, but if she could get her hands on a werewolf, she could easily crush them, no problem.

The ONLY problem was that pesky speed they had.

Pulling her hand off the table top, she sighed.

One by one, her siblings started to arrive. The first of them was her eldest sibling, Anna. Psych mad no move to go and greet her. It was no secret that her sister did not think... fondly of her, to say the least, and right now, Anna wasn't worth the aggravation or headache that would follow. She was quickly followed by Moria, who walked into her room to ask If they were the only ones there.

"Just Anna, and us" she spat bitterly, frowning at the name of her eldest sibling. She said nothing more, just taking in the smells of the house. No werewolves yet, but a new smell.

                                                  "And Xavier... He just arrived."

Psyche closed her eyes, before opening then to turn toward her personal Servant, and body guard, Wynrse. She looked at him like she wanted to say something, petal pink lips opening, before closing again before even a single word could pass through them. She didn't know what she wanted. Blood? No, she had just fed yesterday, and unlike her siblings she wasn't too fond of feeding everyday... just every other day. To be alone? Well... Yes, but She didn't want Wynrse to leave, because what if her... that ... dog showed up? did she want to be alone with the thing?

No. the thought came instantly and venomously. She didn't. She didn't trust it... or herself.

Looking at her sister, she pointed at the bed.

"Why, Pray tell, is there only one of those things?"

having been throwing her week long tantrum, she hadn't been... ah, updated as to the living situation they would have to endure.

XXXSo, it was actually happening. She had pretended all this time like it was a far off dream, something to never come to pass. Her feeble mind had weaved a fairytale, that was all, but sure enough, as she watched a few scurrying maids load her luggage she was facing the harsh truth that she was in fact about to be someone's dinner. That's what it came down to in Nina's mind. It wasn't the wedding that upset her. Hell that part actually came as a secret relief. No way on God's good earth was someone like her going to find a partner, she would have been doomed to a life of loneliness and regret. So really, an arranged marriage was the only way that she saw that she wouldn't grow old and alone. But it was to whom that scared the living daylights out of her. Now it was a matter of surviving to the wedding and after.
XXXHow could her parents do this, really? How? After all the lectures of how evil, corrupt, cynical, and entitled they came off to be. Always being told 'Nina, don't you ever ever ever go near a Fang, you shift, and you run. Run fast or they'll tear you apart' Now? Now they were feeding her to them. "Stupid..." she mumbled low as she continued to stand there pouting. One of the maids stopping and turning towards her, raising a quizzical brow. "Ma'am?" she called, part question, part concern. Nina just turned her head away, a gesture the help understood to well. If Nina didn't want to talk, she wasn't going to, and she didn't a majority of the time.
XXXShe watched as the last bag was loaded and she could feel a gentle hand guide her into the back seat. There was always a gentle hand guiding her. She was a runt not a paraplegic. She gave a small sigh as she collapsed into the back seat and the door gave a soft shut. Always gentle with little Nina. Though in her heart she couldn't bring herself to be mad or angry at anyone for it. She knew they just cared, but it did frustrate her to no end how utterly useless she could be. And now, all her weakness was about to be exposed, right in front of a pack of ravenous Vampires. Funny...that word was always associated with wolves...maybe they had more in common then most realized.
XXXShe rested her forehead on the cool glass window, and watched her home fade slowly as the car pulled away. That sinking feeling settled. The only hope she had now, was the fact that her brothers and sisters were also sharing her fate. They had each other and that had to count for something. That, and there would still be a few familiar faces, a servant or too. The thought let a little smile slip onto the distraught girl's face. "I hope Cailem's been chosen to accompany us..." She whispered mostly to herself, but was a little surprised when the driver spoke up to answer her. "Yes Ma'am. He has." Her eyes softened as she returned her gaze to the wilderness outside. "I'm glad..." The driver cleared his throat a little. The servants always stayed in line with everyone else of the Daringold family. Stuck to their place, never speaking out of term. But with Nina, it was different...more casual one could say. Nina wasn't one to lash out on someone or carry out punishment for any kind of behavior. She was the sort that was thankful for anyone who could act normally about her. This lead to servants being more like acquaintances and friends and always being a bit more daring. "Lady Nina, if I may. It sounds like you have some kind of interest in that useless boy." Nina's eyes opened with a sudden panic, panic that shifted from her previous concerns to a whole new one as her face flushed a deep deep pink. "N-NO! Th-That's not-" She was cut off by the servants sudden laughter, and Nina couldn't help but recoil a little into herself, shoulders up head between them, and filled with nothing but embarrassment. "I tease my lady. My apologies." She cast her eyes back out the window, she wanted to throw something at the man, but it wasn't for the teasing. "Don't...call him useless. No one...should be considered useless..." She murmured softly as her eyes shut half way and she could feel her body fill back up with impending doom again. Curling into a tight ball on the seat now, arms wrapped around her legs and chin on her knees. The driver, looking back at her gave a heavy nod, and noticing how much more upset he had made her gave a heartfelt apology as well. But nothing more was said for the trip.

XXXUpon arrival, Nina wished she could just shrivel away, but as she unraveled herself out of the back seat, now before the gorgeous estate, she knew that wouldn't even help her. Now, perhaps upon arrival if she had seen another one of her kin it would have started differently. Maybe even if she had not seen anyone at all, but unfortunately it was never easy for Nina. A quick whiff of the air and all was lost. All color was shed from her skin, and her eyes were so wide and pupils so dilated she appeared to be like one of those walking dead creatures. "Th-Th-They're here..." It was a soft panic, the sort that escapes when your breath is gone and you can feel your chest constricting. The driver, now unloading the car, gazed over, bewildered at the child. Watching as she took a step or two back, a hand extending behind her, grabbing and clutching at air until finally finding the car, and putting her back to it. "Yes ma'am...the vampires are here. As part of the agreement. You know. The arrangement. Can't very well have a wedding with only half the party." That is when Nina turned towards him, total terror spread across her face and the man could do nothing but sigh. "Lady Nina. I realize this is your first time coming face to face with a vampire, but truly they can smell fear, and you must stay strong. You have-"
XXXThe man continued on and on now, but Nina heard none of it. Fear had taken hold in her very soul and it showed in every part of her trembling body. Scenarios played out in her mind; carnage, gore, destruction. Herself laying in bloody pulp pieces upon the floor. Both hands clutched at the car now, clawing at it, trying to dig her way back into it. The servant had been much to smart, already having locked it up, sealing it away, knowing full well had Nina darted back in no amount of pulling her would have gotten her out. He went about his business of attending luggage as Nina had her episode.
XXXA thought popped into her mind if Vampires even drank werewolf blood. They detested her kind so much they probably would think themselves above it. But did that even matter?! They would probably just slit her open and watch her entrails pore out for the fun of it! That settled it! She was hiding! Eyes darting backwards, forwards, sideways. By the time the butler looked up again Nina was no longer there. Clueless and now panicked himself he quickly looked around, only to stop and see Nina cowering behind a tree in the fetal position. His fingers came up to grip the bridge of his nose. "My lady...that is hardly dignified..." She didn't care! She would take cover and protect her tail until her much larger and much more dangerous siblings arrived. The servant had no choice but to now abandon the luggage into the hands of another that had been staying at the estate to help. He approached Nina and took a seat next to her, head now against the bark of the tree and eyes starring at the leaves. "This is ridiculous."

Annalisa "Anna" Mercilles

_________________________________________________________________
Anna read about 20 minutes into her book when she smelled more and more of her siblings arriving. Annoyed she slammed back her the last few sips of bourbon and smashed the glass down on the table nearest to her bed. The glass shattered and the table lost two legs. Pissed off, Anna threw open the window and threw the table out of the opened window. Hopeful it would hit one of her siblings in which she is trapped with, along with her mortal enemy.

As more and more of her siblings arrived, she could hear the boys' loud voices, which reminded her that she still hadn't smashed their voice boxes in. She got up from her bed and opened her door. She peered out, and saw nothing. She fixed her dress that had a few shards of glass still stuck in the feminine lace. Anna always enjoyed wearing lace, whether it was her racy-lacy lingerie or her feminine little dresses. She wanted to find another bottle of bourbon and possibly a few bottles of Jack Daniels. If she was gonna be around werewolves, she definitely needed to be buzzed to handle it. Unfortunately a buzz for her lasts about 20 minutes at the most.

When strolling down the hall she heard the footsteps of Xavier nearing the mansion stairs and she smiled. One of her favorites out of all of her siblings, she'd taken to quite a sisterly fondness over him. He was quiet and when he did talk it was usually a witty comment. She continued walking down towards where she smelled alcohol the strongest, when she went to thrust the door open, a stong stink plunged deep into her nose. Ahh I smell a werewolf. She smirked and went into the dark cellar. Her eyes adjusted immediately and she grabbed a few bottles and left. She went and sat in a small living room that had a window which faced the front of the house. She sat on the window ledge and watched as the young werewolf sat there and trembled in fear.

Someone had probably brought his clothes and possessions inside, the Daringolds were royalty after all. But Garrett had yet to see the mansion as anything other than a large, well manicured building in the distance. The young wolf had stalked around it for the better part of the day, watching each new arrival to the beautiful home that was to become their prison. Mother and Father had listened while they all argued and pleaded not to be sent away, not to be forced to marry monsters. But in the end it was all for nothing; he and all of his brothers and sisters had agreed to pack up their things and be taken away to their unhappy ever after.

Garrett remembered packing his things and getting into the car, chatting with the driver. He remembered watching the scenery change, familiar to unfamiliar to familiar again as they drove into the forest surrounding the mansion. At some point he had the driver stop and the young wolf got out of the car to take a deep breath of sap and dirt and life. The best breath of air in the world. And that was the last the driver or anyone else saw of Garrett. The youngest of the Daringold family had told the driver to continue on without him. He undressed and shifted into his wolf form, at last taking off into the tree line at the edge of the road. The youngest sibling figured he was the last to be expected and it would be unseemly if he arrived before any of his older brothers. That gave him the perfect excuse to have one last hunt for freedom's sake.

The deer's blood was already dried and caked onto his muzzle and patches of his tan fur. Garrett could still taste the warmth and the iron of fresh meat on his tongue. It would have been the best taste in the world if not for the scent of Mercilles vampires lingering in the air. There was the distinct scent of one of his siblings. Garrett had a healthy respect for his siblings but they all had their own ambitions and goals that went beyond familial ties. It was not his place to question them, as he was the youngest.

With that thought, Garrett almost shifted back into his human form until he remembered that he had left all of his clothes with the driver. Naked and covered in dry blood would be a hilarious first impression but he did not feel comfortable enough in his human skin to bare it to his enemies. And so Garrett opted to present himself as a werewolf covered with blood until he could find his way to a shower and his luggage. The young wolf drew closer to the mansion, making his way around the parameter again in an attempt to find an entrance that did not require opposable thumbs to access.

Now at the front of the house, Garrett immediately recognized Nina's scent. It was flowers and cool summer air, delicate. But it was still his sister and Nina was one of the five that he actually liked. Some part of him resented her, as she was the real runt of the litter and yet all their parents love was in her direction. And yet Garrett sympathized with her predicament and felt the need to protect her as everyone else did. But it was more than that. She was always kind to him, which was more than could be said for anyone else.

Moving closer to the driveway of the mansion, the young wolf could smell her fear before he even saw her body huddled against the tree. As fast as his wolf form could carry him, Garrett ran to her side and brushed his muzzle against her arm. The tan wolf whined and sniffed to show his concern. At the sight of a member of the royal family in their beastly form, splattered with dry blood, the servant sitting next to Nina sighed. But Garrett just was trying to help in any way that he could. Hoping to calm his sister down, the tan wolf curled up next to her and whined softly again. If he could get her up, he would accompany her inside the mansion and growl at any vampires who dared to get too close. Nina deserved some time to settle in before he monsters made her life even more miserable. They all did.

~Duncan strolled out of the bedroom in just his boxers. The others seem to had left already so he walked over to the kitchen with a though of this new lifestyle he'd he would have to deal with. 'Who could want to deal with someone who could just rip your neck open in your sleep and not feel bad about it?' With not much further thought so he could focus on breakfast he reached up and opened the cabinets and pulled out some cereal. His wolf fangs accidentally went down into his lips a little to hard as he decided if he cereal was actually what he was in the mood for.

~A maid then walked into the kitchen and saw him in such low covering and blushed. "Girl, make me some breakfast while I go change." he spoke, deciding to eat and then rush out. As he headed up to his room he grabbed his pack of cigarettes and tossed them on the bed as he threw on a white tank top and some black jeans. Walking over to his closet he then would grab a red and black plad button up short sleeve shirt and tossed it on, but left it open. As he put on some socks, he grabbed his boots and slipped them on before walking downstairs. Seeing the cereal on the table next to a spoon so he sat down and began eating.

~As he began heading out the door he gave out a sigh of comfort as the fresh air blew against his face. he pulled his keys out of his pocket and walked over to the car. The workers for the family seemed to all already be out for his siblings. With a sigh he hopped into his car he bought earlier in the year and set a gps for the exact cordinates of the house he needed to be. Only a while later did he finally show up at the gates. Looking around at the building, he sighed. He didn't care much for the fancy decorating. The only thing that would make him smile to the sight of this place was if there was some 'adult club' underneath that he knew not about. Pulling out a box of cigarettes from his car he stepped out and pulled his lighter from under the seat where it was stashed. He placed a cigarette within his mouth and walked inside as he lit it. If this was to be his new home, no one could stop him from smoking indoors if he actually wanted to and luckily due to being a werewolf his body was able to fight off the tabaco of the cigarette.

I love you. She had said those god damned words to him. And he couldn't say it back. An hour or two had passed since he saw Elinore last, but the cold sting of her hand when she slapped him numbed his senses to auld lang syne. He deserved that slap. He deserved her hatred. Dimitri's slumped form finally raised his head from the outreached hands that rested on his knees. As he looked up at the sky, the sun was idly poking him with its warmth, and he wondered how long it would take for him to have the life sucked out of him if he stayed put.

A rustle of leaves came from the bush to his right, and he couldn't help but straighten himself and turn almost immediately like a dog waiting to be fed by its master (no pun intended). Maybe it was Elinore? After all, this secret little clearing was only known to him, and Elinore. Their secret little get away. Brown toussled strands of hair poked through the bush with small leaves crowning some strands. The small, disappointed frown returned to his face, realizing it was only Marge, the personal "lookout" maid. His head sunk back to the his knees. "Your siblings have left my lord, it is time to go," Dimitri didn't say anything as he leaned his head back against the tree with another heavy sigh. There was a moment of silence, but the maid did not go away. "I sure do hope you aren't trying to bake yourself my lord," Dimitri cocked a brow at the maid's little try to lighten the mood. Allowing himself a little chuckle, he smiled smally to her, before he shoved himself up, feeling the burden of lack of sleep in his muscles, and unshed sadness. Another sigh escaped his lips. "I will follow you then Marge," He replied nodding. And true to his words, he resurfaced from the garden bush and followed the little maid to the front where he just witness Xavier's ride leave, and another vehicle pull forward. He tilted his head to the side. "Who's still here?"User Image

The pair walked towards the open door of the castle. There was no answer from Marge. Instead, he could hear her sniffing. He tilted his head. Was she... "Marge?" And then she broke. Turning to him with a running nose and waterfall-heavy tears, she bawled. At first she only mumbled a few "I'm going to miss you me lord," And then some playful little insults and reminders like, "Remember not to sleep too much in trees, remember the last time," But then, her cries became louder and the tears became heavier. And Dimitri couldn't help but shift rather uncomfortably when eyes began to direct towards the odd pair. She first began with saying "I'm sorry". And that she wished things could have been different. She said that Elinore had not meant to say that she never wanted to see him again. She really loved him doesn't he know.

He knew. Dimitri softened his eyes at the young vampiress maid, before stepping closer to her and patting her back a little awkwardly. Marge had been there every step of the way when it came to Dimitrius and Elinore. He allowed her to cry feeling as if those tears were his that he couldn't and wouldn't cry for himself. He took a deep breath in, "Come on now Marge, you are making a scene," The girl looked up from her palms and met the pairs of eyes that looked their way. "Oh, I'm sorry me lord. I am an emotional wreck," Wiping the sadness from her eyes, a smile forced itself on her face, as she grabbed Dimitri's hand and shook it. "You take care now, young master, and don't you forget to visit," And then before Dimitri could even reply the young maid had turned and gallopped away, but not before Dimitri had spotted a glint of the tears that threathened to spill. He heaved another sigh. What an odd maid Marge had always been. Shaking his head with another heavy sigh as his eyes kept on the direction that Marge had disappeared to.

No less than a few hours, he had made two women cry unintentionally. He closed his eyes for a moment, taking the a lung full of fresh hair. Beneath closed lids, he could still see as Elinore's widened eyes flooded with tears, her figure retreating and soon she was farther and farther away from him. The lingering, longing fingers that hovered upon his cheeks after the slap, as if afraid to reach for him, curled and dropped forcefully back to her sides. He had never hated himself more than he had now. What if he ha--“Anyone want some cupcakes?”

Dimitri slowly opened his eyes, a weary little smile made its way on his way as he turned to Raffy. "Hmmm, I'm starved," Dimitri patted his stomach. "Forgot to feed earlier," He admitted before snatching the bag from Raffy's hand and fishing one of the cupcakes out. "Looks like I was the only one," He eyed the small speck of blood at the corner of Raffy's lips. "Blood," He pointed out, before an index finger went up to his own face and tapped the side of his lips. He shook his head at Raffy's little comment as he slipped first into the car. "You do realize that one of those "dogs," is your wife to be..." Settling into one of the seats, Dimitri finished the cupcake he held and took another one from the bag.

XXXCurled up as she was, and so lost in her own fright, it was hard for her to make sense of anything going around her. The only scent that filled her nostrils was that of Vampires, and then suddenly blood. She assumed her imagination was now beginning to mix with reality once again, and she had thought of so much carnage already that the scent was manifesting itself. However, as it grew stronger, and even closer to her, she got the inkling that it wasn't her just being crazy. She turned her head just enough so she could peer out without lifting her head, to frightened to expose any major vulnerable points to a vampire. Though, to her great relief, it wasn't a vampire that she made eye contact with and that whimper of concern was all to familiar to her.
XXXShe lifted her head away from her knees and arms, sitting back just a little to uncurl herself a bit. The servant, now seeing the young prince of wolves was all the presence of comfort that Nina needed, stood and bowed his way out with a faint smile on his face knowing Nina was in very good hands, or paws, or whatever. Nina's small hands came up to her face as she wiped her tears away on the back of them, and faked a good little smile in Garrett's direction. Not that she was planning on fooling anyone, her siblings always seemed to smart for any of that to work. So, instead of trying further to just play it off, when Garrett brushed himself against her arm she wrapped her other arm about his neck, both arms joining in. She let her small frame lean into him, face buried in fur and dirt and blood and all. Normally she couldn't stand the scent of the stuff, bodily fluids on the outside wasn't really her thing and usually made her feel sick. Yet, being as disheartened as she was, she'd put up with about anything for a hug and Garrett's kindness always seemed to do the trick.
XXX"I'm sorry...I'm the older sister...I should be looking out for you..." She mumbled into his fur, her hands gripping a bit tighter onto him. She felt terrible. How could she sit here and pity herself so much when she knew all her other siblings were in the same boat as her. They were all so brave though, none of them ever had trouble standing on their own feet. How she wanted to be like that, but it seemed those family genes passed over her. Didn't mean she couldn't try a little to be brave, and it was always easier when you had someone standing beside you.
XXXWith her smile being a bit stronger of a feature now, she pulled herself to her feet, with a little support from Garrett of course. She straightened out her skirt and stockings and her little three buttoned blouse, wiggling her toes in her shoes, as she made sure she was somewhat of a presentable appetizer. Keeping one hand clutched onto Garrett, she gave a heavy sigh and a nod. "Sh-Should we go in then? I think we look...er...tasty enough, don't you? Me all weak and lean, and you all splashed in their favorite condominium. Yeah... We'll be the delicacies of the party..." She had to make some sort of joke with the dark situation or she would just curl into a tiny ball again. That, and she wanted to show her brother that she was ok, not that she really was and her dark humor didn't help either.
XXXShe walked with him to the manor, turning her nose one last time into the air before entering. Another smile splashed across her face for a brief moment before vanishing again. "Big brother is here..." And sure enough as she looked back, Duncan had just arrived. She knew he would make his way into the estate in his own time so she went ahead and entered in with Garrett first. Her large eyes took in the grand entrance hall and she was actually surprised how some of the decor actually reminded her of home. However, one thing that certainly wasn't like home was the strong scent of cold death. She could smell it outside, but in here...it wreaked of their scent in here, trapped by the walls. By how strong it was she could tell that most of their numbers had already arrived and she huddled even closer to Garrett now. Any closer and she'd be standing on top of him really. "Garrett...are...are they really all bad, like dad said? I mean...really really as bad as he said..." Her knuckles turned white as she tangled her fingers in his fur and clutched on tight. Maybe shifting and turning tail, making a run for it, wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Moira had not realized that she had stepped into the throws of Pysche's to be "love-chamber", it was not what she wished for, if she were to have some sort of love chamber. It was sleek and modern looking, glossy hardwood floors that were dark and riche looking. The walls were a neutral color that muted the light pouring into the room, making it comfortable for her to even step into the light. The windows must have had a special covering on them, eliminating the UV rays that made direct sun so tiring for Moira. There were two over stuffed chairs in a corner, serving the purpose of a study she guessed, coupled with a granite table that had spiderweb cracks across its once smooth surface. It's seems as though it had already fallen victim to her younger sister's temper. The silver haired vampire could not empathize with her sister's fits of anger, Moira'' emotions were not so highly strung and emotions took a lot of coaxing to draw out of her. She took after her father, positive thing.

Moira nodded. She intended to visit Anna next of course, she felt closer to her female siblings. Gender was one thing she was extremely empathetic towards. They faced the same fate. Moira grimaced at the thought of some damn dog trying to dominate her. A meeting was in order for the siblings, she would try to conduct this engagement in a diplomatic way and perhaps, try to weasel her way out of it. Her violet eyes flickered to Pysche's personal servant, Wynrse. She placed a pale hand on his shoulder as a greeting and nodded. Moira figured he was the reason Psyche had not torn the mansion apart yet. She appreciated his presence, as she did all of their servants, but his in particular was especially powerful. A cool wave of energy rolled off of him and made her hair stand at attention. He was a strange one.

The younger vampiress' voice cut across the rooms heavy air and drew Moira's thoughts away from the servant. She ran a hand along the soft mahogany sheet and frowned at Psyche's words. The silver haired vampire could not fully believe that her father or anyone on this planet expected her or her siblings to submit so easily to this ridiculous situation. "Perhaps they have dog beds for the floor. Better yet, they can sleep in the wood." Moira's raspy voice began to seethe at the thought of sharing a space with a race that her blood had sworn enemy for thousands of years.

Suddenly a breeze drifted through the house. It caused Moira's pupils to dilate and her breath to hitch. Her body tensed. "Do you...smell that." The smell was sharp and irritating, a dagger in her side, the smell of an animal, a wolf.

Xavier took his time staring up at the large mansion. He knew his sisters would be able to pick up his scent and know well he was there. He could certainly smell there's and with it was a mixture of mutts. His nose crinkled at the smell he wanted nothing to do with that horrible smell or the person behind that smell. To marry someone not of his vampire race was stomach churning. Xavier wondered what the King and Queen would do if he refused to touch the dog. Refused the marriage. Certainly they would kill him. Please put me from my misery he thought with a laugh to himself. He was a creature that never grew old. That never gained a wrinkle or a crease. Forever youn and those dogs ran with blood that still had pumped through a living heart. They would grow old and die. Maybe he could out live his wife and go on with his life, but why crank out any sadness in his life. That he would not do. He wanted to live a free and happy immortality. That meant with no one in his way.

Trying to out focus the dog smell he zoned in on his sisters smell. A lot more pleasant. He wasn't worried to about finding them. In time they would come to each other. In time they would come and complain about all things dogs. Xavier unbuttoned his dress jacket allowing his tucked in white dress shirt. Looking down to confirm his shoes weren't scuffed he stepped into the mansion. Xavier was one for expensive taste. A hobby he picked up while traveling all around. His clothes were as elegant as he liked his women.

Xavier made way into the house. Sniffing out his scent of what room he would be in. Following his own scent he landed at a room that was towards the very back of all the others. "Thank goodness." he mumbled to himself as he pushed opened the bedroom door. However, when his blue eyes landed on the room he about gagged with disgust. The bed was a full, not a king that he was so use too. A bare mattress laying on a wooden bed frame. He was praising himself for telling his maid to pack sheets, blankets, and pillows. He would have to make the size work. Xavier was too big of man to be on a bed that small. He looked at his suitcases. Some lying on the bed others surrounding the floor. Who to unpack these because he did not want to even start.

He ran his fingers over his hair again. "This miserable place....with mutts!" he snarled slamming his bedroom door.
