- It was a strange thing, change. You could know it was coming, or be completely blind sided by it, and it didn't matter. It would still take your world and turn it upside down. Psyche, being part of the Royal family, had believed that she was protected against change. Nothing happened without her say so, after all. She was in charge of her life, There was no one, not even her parents, that truly commanded her.
Staring at the empty room that had once housed her entire life within it's walls, Psyche could taste the bitter bile of defeat.
She had thrown a fuss of course, when her father had first told her the news. At first, she had considered it a joke. Her? Marry one of those... dogs? She was a princess, Vampire royalty! Such things were beneath her. However, the longer her father did not laugh along with her, the more she began to realize that he was being serious. It was with that in mind, and being spurred on by the growing feel of panic that was bubbling up in her chest, that she began to throw the biggest temper tantrum this house hold had ever seen. She Kicked, she screamed, she broke priceless artifacts, maimed servants and paid no heed to anyone who tried to calm her down.
It took a full week, and all her cries and anger hadn't done anything to stop this stupid arrangement.
It was a few minutes before anyone dared to approach her, some timid maid who she had never seen before, or hadn't cared to notice. With a shuddering voice, the maid told her that all her things were packed up, and her mother and father... (No, they were the King and Queen now. She would claim no relation to those who had sold her to her worst enemy.) were waiting by the front doors, ready to see their children Pawns, off. Turning bright orange-gold eyes toward the quivering girl, Psyche regarded her coldly. Mousy, eager to please, afraid. She would never do in her circle.
With a snarl, Psyche reached out, gripping her by her throat and squeezing, watching with furious eyes as she turned slowly from peach to blue to purple. It would be easy, far to easy, to crush her neck, snap it under her delicate fingers, but what would killing her do? Most certainly not get her out of this ... farce. With a disgusted scoff, she dropped the maid, stepping over her without a second glance.
"Never address me, bottom dweller. Learn your place." She spoke, the tone harsh and unforgiving.
With an ease that only came with years of living here, she maneuvered her way through the many halls and staircases of her castle home. She allowed her fingers to trace over the walls, and for one very private moment, let the sadness she was feeling, the anguish to slip onto her features. This would be the last time she was here, possibly forever depending on what happened. It hurt, almost as much as it had hurt to leave her Spanish home so long ago.
Why? why had this happened to her? What had she done? Made some higher power angry, obviously. It was the only explanation for all this madness.
Once she approached the door, where she could see the King and the Queen standing by the door to bid her farewell, her face had returned to the stony anger that had become a constant these past few weeks. Psyche breezed right past them, not sparing them a look as she climbed into the back of the car that was to take her to her new... home.
Ugh.
She ignored the biting sting that had bloomed behind her eyes, and stared forward.
"Drive"

It took a long time, longer then she cared for with such a chatty driver, but finally, finally she made it. Pulling up to the mansion, even Psyche had to shut up and stare in awe. A huge sprawling mansion surrounded by trees and woods, a carefully manicured garden?
How storyesque.
Psyched exited her car with a slam of her car door, paying no mind to the driver as he tried to speak to her, again, and walked briskly up to the door. As far as she could smell, she was the only one here.
Good, it wasn't tainted with dogs yet.
Just where were her siblings though? Oh well, the more time she had to herself, the better. She wanted nothing more then to just spend her time here, alone, away from everything and everyone... She wouldn't have to deal with this if that was the case.
She knew that wasn't going to happen though, so she moved, sniffing through the scents in the house to find her own, where her luggage had been placed. She might as scope out her room while she had the chance.
