→ This is a relaxed/ lazy literate rp. That means roughly 2-3 paragraphs per post

→ Please don't join and ditch. I'm tired of trying to track down rpers who have uped and disappeared. If i get nothing from you within a week or two, I will delete your character and open up the spot for another.
→ Don't reserve a character and never send in a profile or post. That's annoying and it's how half of my rps die. I want this one to last
→ Please no gary sues or mary sues. All characters have flaws, use them and they have weaknesses too
→ No auto-hitting, godmodding or killing someone's character off without their permission.
→ Please read everyone's posts carefully. Don't assume your characters know everything that is going through someone else's mind. I've had this problem before and it makes everyone pissed. So don't do it. Read the posts carefully and place your character according. Don't automatically assume your character got across the land in less than two seconds. So please don't do that.
→ There will be no sex, gore. Keep the gore on the low and fade to black if things get hot and steamy.
→ This is a war rp, so romance won't take priority. That doesn't mean that romance isn't allowed. All sexuality is welcome. There will be action and death in this rp. It will be interesting because I'm trying something a bit new.
→ I don't have any mods right now, but once I do please respect them and listen to them. They will watch over things when I'm busy occupied with something else.
→ There will be a posting format, however it doesn't need to be super pretty. Something simple works just as well.

Winter. Everyone hated winter, the season of death. They never saw anything good in it. It was too cold, things died, roads were icy, paths were blocked etc. The only ones that loved winter were children, but as they grew older they too started to hate the season. To them winter seemed dead and cold. They saw no good in it. The other seasons, spring, summer and fall held no sympathy for winter just like mankind did. They hated winter, they teased winter and basically gave winter the cold shoulder. They wanted nothing to do with the death and decay that winter brought. So winter was ridiculed constantly.
Eventually enough was enough and winter had enough. Winter hated being regraded as nothing, as something that didn't deserve recognition or respect. All winter would ever be would be the end, just like death was the end to life. Winter became associated with death and he/she wanted to change that. Winter wanted the world trapped in a never-ending frozen wonderland. Than everyone would start to regard winter as something dangerous, as something that deserved more consideration then they always got. However to do that, winter needed something. A special source of power that will allow winter to have unlimited power to make the world winter's eternal frozen playground.
So winter sent out his/her minions to find a source of power. Eventually one came back in the form of a black crystal. Winter took it and it was instantly absorbed into him/her. They could feel the dark powers swirling within, giving winter a special kind of power. It will allow winter to claim the world. However winter started to change. They became more violent and more darker. They didn't care who stood in its way, winter would destroy them all and turn the world into a frozen wonderland where everyone would worship them. Than everyone would fear winter and respect winter like the other seasons were already being respected.
However it would not last, the secrecy, for the three seasons learned of winter's plans and they decided to counter winter's ruthless attacks. They would make sure the world stayed in balance. To combat winter, they summoned a guardian of their own. A champion of sorts to defeat winter and keep winter in their place. Of course winter learned of this and summoned his/her own champion. One that could combat the seasons. To protect the champions, each champion had two celestial knights. Knights that carried the presence of the ancient animals of the four seasons and of the four elements that the world was created upon. The white tiger, the vermillion bird, the azure dragon and the black turtle were one set of celestial knights. The second set consisted of the golden eagle, the red lion, the ice fox and the silver wolf.
Soon enough a war broke out between the four seasons, each trying to accomplish their own goals to save or to destroy. Spring, summer and fall working together to stop winter and winter trying to put the world into a eternal frozen playground, by enlisting the help of others scorned by mankind and by the other seasons themselves. Their champions would fight in their place. Who will win the war? Will the three seasons put winter back in its place or will they fall? Will winter become stronger with the darkness swirling within? This is a story of broken trust, betrayal, courage and strength of the mind, body and soul. This will test the might of the champions and their knights. Who will win the war and who will be destroyed along the way?
In the land of Edolas, every piece of technology was run by magic. Magic was the life force of the world. Every little thing had some form of magic within them. Others utilized the magic to make things run. There was technology, but not advanced like ones you would see nowadays. In Edolas, transportation was run by magic. There was no computers, no cells, no modern day stuff. Just those that were bare minimum and slightly more advanced than what we would see nowadays. Think almost like the technology of Atlantis, that is high tech but not something one would see today. What needs to be understood is that Edolas and the world was run by the four seasons. The four seasons kept balance within the world. They worked together to bring forth world order. Of course many didn't like each other but they only worked together for the sake of the world and it's people. However in the privacy of their own realm, they constantly ridiculed the leader of Winter Alyss. They didn't like that winter basically killed everything. Winter was death and the other three seasons didn't care much for it. However they sucked it up, because they knew that winter was needed to make sure Edolas stayed harmonized. Alyss took it though. She was a strong woman. She could handle anything and it wasn't something new. She was used to it. So she kept her strong facade up and commanded her season despite what others said.
Sadly even the strongest can fall. This happened when mankind started to despise winter. They hated it. They couldn't grow anything, paths were blocked and it was always cold. The world seemed dead and mankind didn't like it. The only time winter was enjoyed was by the children, who loved to play and frolic in the snow. Sadly when they got older, they too grew bitter and hated winter. That was enough to shatter Alyss' spirit. She had enough. She would get the respect she deserved, but she needed power. She sent her minions out to collect an ancient stone. They found it and she took it, relishing in the powers it gave her. However the power slowly started to corrupt her and it turned her into something not many recognized. She made a promise. They will all pay. She would teach the world a lesson, by turning the world into her ultimate frozen playground. Nobody would stop her.
Eventually she moved to gather her forces to change the world. Word of what she was doing got out to the other leaders. After some consideration, they decided the only way to stop Alyss was to join forces. They declared war on the rouge season. Balance and harmony needed to be restored. They won't allow Alyss do what she wanted. Alyss welcomed it. She gathered her own army to combat her former allies. She would make this world hers and the other seasons will fall. A new world order will be placed and the rest of the leaders won't stop her.

This is where the story truly begins. A story of betrayal, broken trust, heartache, courage, lust and misunderstanding will make or create the world. A war has broken out between the four seasons and those caught in the crossfire are mankind. The battlefield is the world itself, with the four seasons taking up a corner of the world. North is Alyssa's home base, South is Zamir's home base, West is Iris' home base and East is Veles' home base. The leaders have currently set up bases within those areas to keep themselves protected. That is their stronghold and their defenses are harsh. The leaders have decided that they don't want to sit back and wait. They will join the fight and put Alyss in her place. Balance needs to be restored for the good of Edolas and Earth itself. Everyone's core will be shaken as secrets previously hidden are brought to light. What may be the enemy, may not be the truth. There is something darker lurking in the shadows. Something that wants the world to crumble into a new order, an order they specifically planned. In the end who will be the pawns, who will be the victims and who will rein the true champion? This war is only the beginning, but appearances can be deceiving. So don't trust what you see because appearances vs reality are the basis of the rp. Things will crawl out of the shadows that will test everyone's limits and ideals. Who will survive, who will fall, who will remain supreme in the end? This it the world and the victor is far from decided.
Let the story begin with the forces clashing on the battlefield of Serinola, a desolated land off of the coast. The leaders have set up temporary base camps around the battlefield. It has been created to seek a vantage point within the battle to come, while keeping en eye on everything while watching their backs. This is the beginning, but in the end who will win the war?
CHAPTER TWO
On the battlefield of Serinola a mighty battle took place. At the given time, the other seasons led by Iris of Spring, Veles of Autumn and Zamir of Summer were winning the battle. Bodies were fallen and the winter forces were slowly being diminished, as the seasons started to gain momentum in the battle. Although Zamir and his forces were late, the losses heavy on Autumn's side, but it seemed like victory was just on the horizon. A battle won, meant that they were closer to winning the war. However not all was good and calm. Alyss would not take falling so easily. She summoned a little play thing for the seasons to fight, the forces of the undead. At first they were overwhelmed, fighting their dead comrades, but eventually learned that they cannot back down. They mustered their courage and fought back. Still it wasn't enough for Alyss. She decided to make her presence known. Using her powers, she summoned a mighty dragon made of both living and the dead. Since Autumn's forces were closer, a good portion of their soldiers were swallowed up, forcing the season forces to retreat. They did. They rather retreat and fight another day than die in a non-winnable battle or that was there way of thinking after all. So retreat they did to fight another day, one where forces working together could beat Alyss and her winter army.
Alyss under the false notion of truce, decided that it wasn't enough to win the battle. She wanted more. So she gathered her trusty soldiers, Bryson the loyal giant, her champion and son Dylan and her knightly lover Zeyada. She intrusted them with a special task. Her forces would infiltrate the camp. She wanted extra information to find out what the seasons were going to do and what they planned to do next.

This is the next chapter in our tale. Alyss has sent her forces and sent them to the main seasons camp. What will be learned at this camp? Would the camp find out there are spies among them? This is suppose to be an undercover mission after all. Would friendships be formed between the winter spies and their allied companions? Would Winter destroy the seasons from the inside out? Time will tell and secrets might be revealed. Who knows, but could this be a victory for the winter or would it actually be a victory for the seasons?
However there is something that Alyss doesn't know. Something or someone has been pulling the strings. You can't trust the shadows, for the shadows cannot be trusted. The shadows hide the darkest of secrets and something is watching from afar. They are watching and waiting. Waiting for the time, that their presence will be known, waiting for the time where all will fall. The shadows twist and turn, but they are always watching. Can you trust the shadows? Can you even trust your own sense of justice and honor? A time to question everything will soon be brought to light, but beware, as our characters will quickly learn what you see in reality does not always constitute the truth. Don't trust the shadows, don't trust the darkness and especially don't trust yourself and what reality has perceived. Good luck.

WHAT KIND OF POWERS CAN THE CHAMPIONS HAVE? ∵ Their powers can be anything. Usually they contribute to the elements, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that. So use your imagination and create something new. However the powers need to have something in common with the season they are representing.
WHAT KIND OF POWERS CAN THE CELESTIAL KNIGHTS HAVE? ∵ Like the champions they can be whatever you want them to be. I'm not exactly picky about it. Just make sure there is a diverse selection.
WHAT ARE CELESTIAL KNIGHTS? ∵ They are warriors that were picked specially to protect the season's chosen champion. They are considered shape-shifters and can change into the animal they represent. They are chosen by the leaders of the seasons to keep the champions safe. It is what makes them special
ARE THERE ANY RACES AVAILABLE ? ∵ All races are allowed, expect angels and demons. Those have no places within this rp. It just doesn't seem right. The leader of the seasons are gods/goddesses that represent the seasons and keeps balance, but other races are allowed expect angels and demons.
WHAT IS THE SETTING? ∵ The rp takes place a fantasy like world. There is limited technology in this world. So it's kind of a medieval setting, but not exactly that far back. It's got some technology, but it's not exactly modern like technology. Everything is run by some kind of form of magic as in magic runs the world. So all the technology is run by magic, but it's low key.
DO THE LEADERS OF THE SEASONS KNOW EACH OTHER? ∵ The answer is know. There will be some secrecy between the leaders of the seasons. To add mystery and intrigue, not all of the leaders will know or remember who the leader of winter is. This will add some interesting betrayals of characters later in the rp. So no they do not know of all of each other yet.
DO THE CELESTIAL KNIGHTS KNOW EVERYONE? ∵ The answer is yes. They know who the other celestial knights are and who the champions are. However they are in the dark regrading who the other leaders of the seasons are. They only know of the one they survive and nothing else. It is to add mystery and secrecy within the rp as well.
ARE THE ELEMENTAL CELESTIAL KNIGHTS TIED WITH A SEASON? ∵ Yes they are. They're element matches those of the season. So earth/metal = spring, fire/lightning= summer, water/ice= winter, air/spirit = autumn. Yes they have combined elements, if you so desire.
