If you have seen this rp before it's because it's not the first time it has been re-done/made. This was originally created by DiscoCurruption a.k.a.Tall Disco Latte. Story, banners, profile layout and all was created by her. I have been given permission to have my crack at bringing this wonderful RP back to life. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we have.

No one recalls how it began, the war between the elements. For they have been battling for centuries, kingdoms tearing each other down, pillaging the innocents, sucking innocents into the cruelty of war, and leaving destruction in their wake. This is the legacy left behind by the elemental kingdom, bloodshed and battle that lasted long into the memories of everyone.

Four of the five kingdoms remained ignorant to thee destruction that they caused. Though the wisest of the rulers noticed the devastation and the scars left on their beautiful land, a land once rich with the purity of the elements that they were born of. The Shadow King, felt his heart ache over it, and thus decided that he would need to end the terrible conflict. So desperate he called a meeting for the five kingdoms, promising that they could find a solution to their conflict. Begrudgingly the rulers of the other four kingdoms arrived. They peace talks lasted for weeks, each kingdom greedy to gain more power over the other, and as the Shadow King watched them he finally realized that the war would continue unless he did something drastic.

So he gathered all of his courage and placed upon the five kingdoms a terrible curse.

“Upon the birth of my grandchild, no kingdom will be able to produce fertile seed. The elements will be doomed to die out unless harmony and love can be found between them.”

With this the meetings ended.

The kingdoms did not take this threat seriously and war resumed and the death of the elemental kind and the scaring of the land worsened. As time passed so did the generations, each kingdom bore children and then came the granddaughter of the Shadow Kingdom. From the moment she was born the cruse took effect, no longer could anyone from any kingdom conceive.

The price of war would be too high for some kingdoms as they near wiped out their entire population, and all were in dismay about the death and inability to bring new life to the world. Those that did not take the curse seriously finally did, understanding it’s effects some tried to seek their revenge against the Shadow Kingdom, but alas it was to no avail. Even after taking the King’s life the curse did not come to an end.

For many years the kingdoms lived in fear, hoping to break the curse by any means, but alas they could not. Eventually they would have no option but to submit to the demands on the curse, so the Kingdoms met up for another talk, but this time instead of bargaining over land they spoke of the futures of their children and grandchildren.

It would take only one day for the Kingdoms to come to an agreement, they would wait until every child was of age for marriage before they would meet their arranged lover. The kingdoms agreed that no harm should befall the children and the war would cease until the curse was lifted.

So the children grew in a post-war society. They were fed stories about the war, about the treachery of other kingdoms, and about the horrible curse that lay upon the land. They grew up understanding that one day a war may begin again, but it all depended upon their actions. Eventually all of the children would reach the age of marriage and by then the kingdoms had become desperate for a solution. So the children were quickly sent out to meet their beloved, and thus our story begins.

The Shadow Kingdom, a small kingdom on the edge of the continent. Their primary export is stones formed deep with-in their capitol. These stones grant people the power to tap into their elemental abilities and preform great magic. The stones vary in color; the more colorful of the stones allow people to preform greater magic and the more opaque the weaker the magic. The Shadow Kingdom is the only Kingdom with the ability to produce these stones and thus is seen as a valuable resource to every kingdom. The Shadow Kingdom because of that was able to stay neutral during the earlier years of the conflict.They spent the early years of the conflict constricting the export of stones to other countries, intent on not letting their involvement create a worse war.

The Shadow Kingdom has always been known for their work with the power stones. They craft them to into jewelry and crown pieces, and even imbed them within armor and weapons. The people of the Shadow Kingdom have always been a reclusive people; rarely do they let others into their Kingdom and rarely do they eave. They enjoy the shadowed lands and find that direct sunlight will irritate their exposed skin. So those that leave the shadowed lands are often cloaked in beautiful silks that cover their skin from head-to-toe. Because of this the other Kingdoms have often said that the people of the Shadow Kingdom are nothing but cloth. Their merchants are often referred to as gypsies.

Half way through the war, the Fire Kingdom attacked the Shadow Kingdom. The Fire Kingdom set their mines ablaze, while the Water Kingdom flooded their capitol and sank their boats into the ocean. The Shadow Kingdom had no choice but to retaliate. They found themselves dragged into the war and used there reserved of magic stones to aid their warriors in battle. Though their wise King watched as so many died and the lands were destroyed. So he took the most powerful of the stones and went to the summit where the Kingdoms would try and discuss peace. After the weeks dragged on he would cast the curse that would affect the entire continent. When the curse took effect, the Shadow Kingdom got hit hard by all of the Kingdoms in retaliation.

The Earth Kingdom, the largest and most prosperous of all of Kingdoms. Their main exports are found in the ruins of the old Kingdom, ancient artifacts, agriculture, and new inventions made from old technology. While the Earth Kingdom is diverse in their exports their chief export is artifacts from the old kingdom. Because of this the Earth Kingdom is the most prosperous of the kingdoms and the largest. However, they are rumored to have started the great conflict between the elements. It is said that they had discovered something deep with-in the ruins of a castle from the old kingdom that would cause them to start the war.

The Earth Kingdom is the most diverse of the kingdoms, ranging from farming lands, to ruins in the far east, and the factories to the far west. The Kingdom lays in the center of their lands and it controls the exports of their land. Though when the war started, some remote villages continued trade with near-by countries with their crops. The Earth Kingdom being known for their diversity in all fields, they are also known for their royal family. There has always been a large family and the youngest to the oldest, and even by a male and female ruler has ruled the Kingdom. The royal family always holds a week long games ceremony with battles of strength and wit. On the final day all children of the royal family battle for rights to the throne.

But of late, the games have not been joyous and the one prosperous and large country has begun to crumble. Currently the war is fought on both fronts, to two neighboring kingdoms, the Fire and the Water kingdom. The war has caused a change in culture for the Earth kingdom. The only new inventions made are that of war, crops are horded by the capitol, and no new artifacts leave the capitol city. Currently the Earth Kingdom stands a quarter of its former strength, but it is still regarded as the strongest military force on the continent.

The chief export of the Water Kingdom is precious shells and jewels found at the bottom of the sea. They also work in fishing and underwater agriculture. The Water kingdom lives on a floating city in the ocean, they like to live near and on the sea. Some of the residents even live on boats for the majority of the seasons. Those of the water kingdom were never strong in military force, but possess the greatest navy on the continent.

The Water Kingdom’s greatest jewel is the capital city, the acting head of the navy and the central hub for trade. The jewels and beautiful shells adore on the city and are in high demand for any with high status. Because of this the Water Kingdom is very rich despite it’s small size. This money that the kingdom had saved up over the years helped them greatly when the great elemental war started.

The Earth Kingdom first attacked the Water Kingdom. They used their naval force to their advantage and attacked their lands by the sea. Alas it was not enough to knock them out of the war; still the Water Kingdom persisted until their ruler, the great mother, was killed in her chambers. They found a torn bit of robes in her hand that originated from the Shadow Kingdom. Enraged by this travesty the Water Kingdom began their assault against the Shadow Kingdom. Sinking their ships they also sent against them troops. When the curse took effect the capitol of the Water Kingdom had been dethatched from the main land. The only way to and from the capitol city is through boat travel.

The Fire Kingdom, said to have descended from the dragons of the old kingdom. They are a beautiful and proud people who specialize in the making of armor and weapons from the remains of dragons. They use their scales to make armor, teeth and bone to make weapons. They other exports also involve meat produced through hunting as well as skins. Even those not good enough to make it into the royal army would hire themselves out as mercenaries for odd jobs or help others guide themselves through the wilds.

The kingdom has always been full of warriors and those able to live off of the lands. Although their capitol city was located in the center of the wilds it was a small capitol city rumored to have been made from gold. It is where the royal family resides and most importantly it is where the royal army resides, the strongest of all of the warriors and the most exclusive army in the entire continent. These ‘dragon warriors’ were as ready as any resident of the Fire Kingdom to lay down their lives for their King. Alas their trading was focused on the roads, in small shops in backwater villages.

The Fire Kingdom was one of the first in the war, attacking the Earth kingdom when their capitol city was nearly demolished. They marched to the Fire Kingdom and began their attack. They marched into the Earth Kingdom, but when all of their warriors were gone the Capitol city was laid to wastes. No survivors were found, but the city was laid with broken magic stones. Believing it was the work of the Shadow Kingdom the Fire Kingdom attacked. When the curse came into effect, the Fire Kingdom was all but demolished. Those few survivors escaped to their stronghold in the mountain.

The Air Kingdom always has been one of neutrality. Their chief export is precious metals found in the misty mountains that they make their home and the poisons and perfumes that they make from rare plants found in their homeland. Those of the air kingdom are said to have descended from the skies themselves. Due to this the Air Kingdom always wears the most extravagant gowns and are said to possess more magic ability than those in the Shadow Kingdom.

The Air Kingdom is a kingdom filled with temples and holy relics from ‘the above’. Those from the ‘pure’ bloodline rule the kingdom. These gifted individuals are born with wings as pure white as the mists that roll down from the above. These gifted individuals are cherished from the moment they are born, treasured by the entire Kingdom. Their ‘divine’ powers are generally seen at an early age (along with their wings), and they can use magic without the use of power stones.

During the start of the war, the Air Kingdom remained isolated from the attacks going on below. They did not care to join the war, and found that the above called for them to stay out of the war. Alas, this was no to last. The Fire Kingdom came to the Air Kingdom beseeching them to aide in their attack against the Earth Kingdom. While there the Dragon King found himself infatuated with the maiden priestess of the Kingdom. His greed and pride caused him to take her by force, the Air Kingdom devastated by this violent act waited for a long while. Eventually when the curse took effect they landed devastating blows against all of the other kingdoms. They are now the most unaffected kingdom on the continent.
