He didn’t expect much of an answer from the grim reaper. At least that’s what he looked like. He was told in his childhood that the angel of death dressed liked a officer, it’s bony face covered with a large hat and a black trenchboat under his suit. The law and order here, though he wasn’t sure what Charon was anyway, as far as he was concerned. They both helped each other out, he gave the man more corrupt dead souls, and both of them fulfilled their purpose.

He turned his head, the rapid movement causing a resounding crack. is mouth dropped and he began to rub his jaw, small cockroaches proceeded to spew out of his mouth at that instant. His body was home to many creatures sometimes. He used to be bothered by the animals that lived inside of him. However, it was now safe to say that he had become complacent with their living arrangement. He blinked for a second, the girls real name was apparently Ashley, which sounded a lot better than any of the name he had given her.

He felt a bit bad for hassling her, again even the dead had humility. So he sighed and decided on a self made compromise. “Okay Ash, It’s nice to finally know your name.” Shorten her name, at least that way nobody would know her name, and he’d still know who she way. “What do you need help with?”

The offer was tempting to take if for the sheer fact of companionship of another in this world. Who was she to brush off help in this strange plain till her purpose was made present to her eyes. Tongue darted out to dampen red lips before speaking.

"I shall join you in this search, but power is not what I seek. Power of absolute will destroy everything in its grasp."

Taking the offered arm, or rather the clothing encasing some sort of relevance of it. "I have not gained the name of one who has offered this.... chance."

Ania glanced away from him and into the distance, wondering still of this man in white. "So this White-man you seek is eluding you, and if you can not seek him in this otherworld.... what makes one think this Ania can? I have not a clue as to this White-mans origins and rather not blindly search for a ghost."
There was another man on the boat, as it arrived at the dock. He had a sharp smile, an evil smile, and a bloodshot eye. The way his body moved as he breathed made it look like he had just run a marathon, like he had more energy than he knew what to do with. In one hand, he held on to a faceless brown bottle, half-full; the other hand was a hook.

His foot, clad in slick black shoes, was tapping impatiently. His ankles were wrapped up in dirty bandages. his pants also dirt and black. His brown leather jacket, on the other hand, was very clean and handsome.

"Hurry up boatman.." he muttered under his breath, smile unfaltering, a manic smile. His eyes were fixed on the dock, where he saw only one man.

"Oh for ******** sake.." he grumbled again, his voice low and growly. His eyes darted about the land around the dock, and saw no one. He inhaled deeply, through both his mouth and nose, and then held it. She was here. Somewhere. He exhaled through a clenched-teeth grin, eyes glued to the pier as they continued forward.
"There's someone else on the boat.." she breathed, barely above a whisper, but definitely audible.

And there certainly was. The man with the buggin' red eye, his bottle of booze a secret to no one. Ashley, although uninvited, winded her way in to the nearest hole in the zombie's body, likely up in to his leg, storing her particles in the tears of his tattered clothes, his decaying skin.

"I need to go by, unnoticed. I need to escape here." It was only a few seconds before she had breathed her cool air into his body, soothing and damp. "You're perfect. I can repay you." she said all of this although she had already taken up residency in his bones, between his muscles. She would, however, leave if he asked. Surely he wouldn't conceal her if he didn't wish to, and she'd rather not take the chance of him ratting her out unless she had his word.

While the man was indeed earless, the magic that kept him alive was the same magic that kept his senses in check, they also enhanced his natural senses. He had already heard the man and his mouth. It ran like a buffalo during a stampede. That alone was enough to make him cautious, those that couldn’t keep their mouth clean were already dirty, and this man was swearing like a sailor. Bonez’s bones were beginning to shake, which wasn’t surprising for somebody who was dead. It was however a sigh that the man was not to be trusted.

The next sigh was the girl forming into her gaseous form and deciding to take residence inside of his body. ‘So this is what it was like to have a Holy Ghost inside of you.’ his little thought caused him to chuckle a bit. He let the guest of honor take residence in his body for now, seeing that it wasn’t exactly easy to see into. The zombie was always wearing his large brown duster, which while tattered, only exposed rotting skin. He said nothing and walked toward the boat. White eyes meeting with Charon.

“Post haste, I don’t think the fat b*****d of a priest would be mad if I was late for another job.” The Man that had revived him favored punctuality. The man would scold his nose if it was running late during a cold. He sat down on the boat, waited, and hoped that the male that had just passed did not expect anything suspicious.

He laughed a bit, it was hilarious to see somebody chase what he thought was essentially a ghost. A regular little grim reaper, or maybe even a witch. IT was no matter to him. Bonez dug into his tattered pockets, lifted a f** from it, and slid it in between his mouth bone. He dug in the same pocket for a lighter, and he lit it up. The Smoke, if Ashley was affected by it might cause a bit of a coughing fit.
Scott watched the man who came on to the boat, a hideous thing. Something straight out of a zombie movie. He wrinkled his nose over the scent of him, but made sure to keep a careful eye on him. Her scent was strong with him; as if, perhaps, they had been very close.

As if, perhaps, she had found a lover.

Scott sort of flopped down next to him (in a drunken manner, indeed), but when he spoke it was not slurred or drunken at all, just grizzly. "Back to the land of the livin', eh? I doubt you're gonna have much luck wit' da' ladies there." he chuckled, and took a short swig.
Trip filled the crevices of his body, making herself useful while she was in there by filling the lungs of bugs and drowning them, moistening dirt and stains, just basically steam-cleaning the inside of his legs. She was incredibly thankful, and secretly nervous; but she would not let anyone know that. It would ruin her reputation.

She could hear his low voice, and if she hadn't been a purple fog it would have given her goosebumps. She could not see when she was like this; she could only feel. Feel the surrounding air, it's pressure and where it broke, where it was moving and where it was not, and make educated guesses. Her zombie chariot seated itself, and the man sat down rather close to him, from what she could tell. She stopped moving, going from a warm steam-machine to a chilly fright.

Tilting her head slightly to the right as to gaze at the being. So this is were they lay, nodding her head to him  awaiting what ever was to come.  Hastur the name rolled around in her mind like a ball, testing it repeatedly till she had memorized it, savored it. Casting a haunted glance to the front something called inside of the women. Was this the call of the river, the call of the boatmen?

" Shall I go then?"

Awaiting his response to it her arm lay loosely with in the robe the material slipping against fingers. Sending nerve endings on fire with delight. It was like becoming one again with the body, as if made and a soul placed with in it. A living breathing doll, yet who was the puppet master of this show?

Teeth scrapped against tongue, shock of pain even mild but still pain non the less. Almost enjoyable in nature; silly. Nose flared takin in the scents around her, death permitting the earth it was awful it was wonderful. [size ]

“Well that’s fine and dandy, not interested in a relationship.” What was the point of ******** if you’re dead. He wasn’t interested in a relationship, it would just make his job difficult. He took another drag of his cigarette, the bugs and rats found ways out of his body after he began to inhale the smoke, which in itself escaped from those same crevices.

His body suddenly caught a chill, it wasn’t common for him not to be cold, since he was indeed without blood. However, he neve felt like he was about to nearly freeze like he did now.

The female, was sending chills down whatever was left of his spine. He ignored it mostly but his teeth began to chatter. Some of them even fell out. He gripped onto the edges of his coat in an attempt to bundle himself up, and make sure the male did not take notice.

With a quick nod of her head she watched as the ink enveloped him. Snorting slight her eyes traveled to the east and then the west. To the docks she mused silently in her mind, hopefully this task would not be to horrid!

Flipping black strands out of blue eyes he moved onwards feet carrying the girl towards her mission. Was this a wise decision only time would truly tell. Huffing a sigh, arms folded across her chest; idly kicking stones that crossed her path.

The walk was long and tedious what fun was it to gather information on a ghost. Ruby lips parted to inhale the scents around her. The dock was close, one could tell by the molded smell of river and the fresh death that clung around. Speeding up her steps the fog was lifting to reveal what was seeked  . [size ]

Worthy soul? Did Imaginary Friends have souls? Perhaps some did and some didn't. Maybe it was the maker's discretion. Either way, he honestly had never heard the term soul. Not directly any way. He merely stood by her side and slowly reached for her right hand with his normal looking left one. Grasping it he was anxious, nervous. He thought they were going to swim...In which case he couldn't. One of he defects was his inability to swim. It was unknown if he could learn to do so or not but he might find out today. Or perhaps she would tell the boatman to take me back and forth between dimensions. Not sure of what to say if he should even speak, he remained silent with a soft innocent smirk. Waiting. Ultimately his mind was still waiting for Loki to say she wanted to play....maybe the boatman wanted to play? Maybe they too could be friends.

Suddenly, along the river, the form of a man would begin to fade into existence. the form standing about six foot tall. it was a slow process in which this being started to exist here in the otherworld. teal blue eyes suddenly piercing from where the male's head was, brown colored hair flowing to his shoulders as it began to color itself in. the man wore nothing to cover his torso, the chest region completely open, showing off exposed and ripped up organs; the heart the only thing still beating and working in time. the ribcage was shattered, the spine the only thing holding this man up. his left arm hung loosely, the flesh almost untouched. his right arm was gone, though what seemed like armor was there on the right side of his chest, charred into the flesh thereon; it couldn't be removed. from the waist down his body was covered in a long black hakama; his feet exposed beneath it were bare.

"Where... am i..."

A voice came from the visage of the male, questioning and confused as to his whereabouts at the current moment in time. he was unaware of the condition of his body, or so it seemed. taking a step forward he felt the waters of the river against his feet and he looked down. a gasp escaped his lips as he noticed the condition he was in for the first time. attempting to move his right arm he found that it was not attached, this making him begin to ponder on just where he was. this body was just a spiritual manifestation of his current form, in both look and condition; the true body elsewhere at the current time.

Eyes gazed across the river for a moment, his vision not perceiving the locations of any others within this place currently; he was out of it, in both element and mind. shaking his head he heard the creak and snap of bones, his body fractured in almost every place. he felt no pain from it though, not here in this world. breathing in the air felt, familiar. his mind seeming to reach out to the air itself he felt particles of spirit on the breeze. eyes snapping open again he drew a tiny amount of energy to himself; particles of spirit turning a visible blue as they started to gather over the right shoulder. attempting to shape something from them his concentration was broken by a pain he did feel. body collapsing under its own weight he falls to his knees. eyes staring down at the river as it flowed on by.

"Have I, passed on?"

He questioned aloud, unsure if anyone was there to hear his words. he hadn't passed on, but was fighting for his life elsewhere; body in a tube of fluids, kept in suspended animation. surgeries were being performed, medicines applied in grand qualities. the finest care was being given to him in hopes that he would continue to live. his mind kept unaware of what was going on. the last conscious thought was of him being blown away by a massive attack that put him in the state he appeared in. what happened next, was unknown to his thoughts.
