Gears, leader de facto of
The Butterfly Bandits

The Bandit leader was no idiot. Besides the rare spat of anger (saved for special days like these) he was a harmless 15 year old. Calming down, he put his bat back on his strap. He took the items and said "Fine, she can keep what she stole for these. But having wrecked about half our aisels she's going to have to clean up her mess." It was only fair, she made the mess so she had to clean it. Had this been the Fashion Fiends he wouldn't have simply calmed down. Queeny had already chased his second into a neutral ground with her makeshift flamethrower. Then essentially threatened to blow them all sky high. Today was a bad day. He'd have to scold Gwen later too then organize the Bandits to finish up his project with him while guarding their turf and hopefully, watching Charlie clean up her mess. Busybusybusybusy.

Ivory hadn't shown up, which was good. She was still watching the cart so it wouldn't get hijacked. "She can keep the items before now it not the ones she's trying to steal now." he added, a roll of his eyes apparent. She DID realized that attempting to go lower while your leader was trying to save your rear only made the team look bad, right? It was apparent Daiki had gotten next to no sleep, doing whatever Techies do in their free time.

Elzsalee yawned. Being the insomniac she was, she hadn't slept all night. Usually she silently patrolled the Butterfly territory alone, keeping a look out for looters, intruders, sneak attacks and the like. It was always so quiet at night, with only her echoing footsteps keeping her company. But when the sun made its appearance, pushing the moon out of its spot in the heavens, sound would gradually seep in and fill in the empty spaces. But today, noise seemed to want to make its existence plainly clear. It echoed in every nook and cranny and reverberated in your eardrums. There seemed to be quite a spectacle at the grocery section, all the way on the other side of the store. She could hear people shouting, murmuring, then all of a sudden it stopped. A grin curved at her lips. She remembered seeing Gwen, the trusty Second in Command, rushing off with her nerf gun, presumably to go bug someone. Elzsalee would bet her trusty scissors that she was involved in it somehow.

She stretched on the floor and leaned against a shelf way back in the home and office section, pencil shavings scattered all around her. Elzsalee had been practicing her aiming at a crudely drawn person on the wall - it looked like part of a crime scene reconstruction, except on a wall instead of a floor - and she was pleased to be able to say that over 90 percent of her shots made it to the desired body parts. She didn't know anyone else that could do that, save the Leader. She sighed and closed her eyes. Usually she would be joking around with her brother at around this time, but he was a Fiend, she was a Bandit, and she rarely saw him around anymore. Her thoughts drifted to random memories of them together, and she almost dozed off when suddenly hurried footsteps flashed by her, jolting her awake. Before she could even mutter a dazed "Huh?" boxes and random products rained down upon her, drowning her in a cacophony of cardboard and metal. She looked up at the flickering lights, as if they had the answers to everything. What the hell was happening? A battle? On her territory? How uncalled for! Just as she was going to sleepyland.

She struggled to stand up, hands slipping over pen holders and staplers and as she propped herself up, a knife and a person whizzed past her. A slight breeze kicked up, showing that the blade had missed her by a mere few inches. The knife lodged itself on a shelf beside her and the impact caused a paperweight from the top rack to fall down, gravity enticing it until it bopped her on the head and it bounced off to join its cousins on the ground. She blinked wildly as she saw stars for a few minutes. Elzsalee glanced up at the knife. 'Whoa whoa whoa. Close. Too close.' she thought. She recognised it as one of Gears' knives, that meant there was a high speed chase going on and she was missing it! All because of some stupid insomnia. She yanked the knife out of its prison and found the other one not too far away. She held them carefully. 'Damn, these are sharp. Sharpsharpsharpsharpsharp!' She'd give them back, but first she had to find the guy. A soft sound passed by her and she thought she saw Ivory's grey(?) hair for a second, but she couldn't be sure. She shook her head, she didn't need to be distracted. Instead, she followed the voices and stopped behind an aisle where she could have an overview of everything without being seen. She held back a snigger as she surveyed the scene. 'Ah-ha, the Techno Tyrants strike again.'

The child’s reaction was almost worth the effort all in its self. while she slunk across the floor behind the desk and chocked on her own saliva, he turned towards her his legs dangled over the counter. He leaned forward with his usual smile his bright eyes staring down at her. “funny you should say that.” he said pausing for a moment. Looking over the bedding she had retrieved. “I'm pretty sure the butterflies wouldn’t appreciate you walking off with things from their turf.” he had not quite figured out what he was going to do to the girl yet but he did know that the blanket and pillow had his name on them.

Last time she crossed his path he had sliced a fair amount of her hair off. She had crossed him, thus she needed to be punished. Secretly he did feel a bit bad about it. She did have lovely hair. Though know she feared him, and that would always work to his advantage. Especially now that she had taken up ranks with the wrong gang. The butterflies were alright in his book as long as they stayed cordial, but the techno tardmuffins, they just got under his skin. Most of them were sweaty nerds that cared more about how to apply a battery to a light than applying some damn deodorant to their stinky armpits.

'not alone' he thought to himself, as his grin got much wider. Slowly he slid forward off the counter. “Alone is subjective, little one.” he stepped closer now standing over her. “im not sure anyone that cares about you is even close enough to hear you scream right now.” he knelt down now his face close to hers. Reaching out with one hand he felt her hair in his fingers. The cold steel of the scissors laid against her cheek as a warning not to try anything with him so close.

“I am going to take the blanket and pillow, but ill tell you what.” he retracted his hand a bit rubbing his fingertips together feeling the filth between them. “come to garden in about 20 minutes and ill wash your hair.” with that he stood and backed away. “now give me the merchandise.”

To Daiki's relief, the guy in front of him understood what he was trying to accomplish. That meant there was less of a hassle in de-escalating the situation.

"Alright, now that it's settled." he replied, referring the trade they just made. "But as for cleaning the aisles? I don't think so." he blatantly refused, and added by saying "If you haven't forgotten, me and the others are still having a hard time cleaning up the mess you guys made on our turf." he sighed "Let's just call it 'even' - and just get something to eat already!?" he said finishing his bargain.

Looks like, his stomach was really getting the best of him. He was starting to get irritated. If it wasn't for the low growl of his belly, he wouldn't be in such a hurry to leave. Looking back at the two behind him, he couldn't help but smack his forehead with the palm of his hand in disappointment.

"Please put them back, and get out of here." he whimpered to Charlotte. "Michael, do me a favor. Get Charlotte, find Sparks and the rest of them. Rendezvous with me at the food court (restaurant)." he ordered.

Now everything was set right, he just had to wait for the "Butterflies" lead to reply, and they can finally go about their business. He felt that because of all of the catastrophe that's been going on lately, it was time for a quiet pep talk with his entire crew. Of course, it also looked like the other gang had better things to do, rather than waste their time talking to the likes of them.

As her pile of looted items started to grow bigger, the last thing on her mind was how much trouble she would get in. How much s**t she really was in, the immature sixteen year old hugged the pile closer to her slim frame. Sliding two black staplers into her pockets, her smile only growing. She was suddenly aware of Bass backing away with her. A small smile crept at her lips. Though he probably couldn't see it, the dark transformer mask still on her face. Yes, she was the definition of childish. "I'm not putting anything back." The crooked smile grew. "I stole enough for everyone to split that needs new weapons." The whisper was casual as one hand ran through her hair. So far she had four light sabors, a staple gun, a stapler, a transformer mask and a baseball bat from her looting. Not bad. As her unnatural crimson eyes returned to back to the both leaders striking a deal, her eyes instantly narrowed as she caught the last words that came from the bandit leader. ... She's going to have to clean up her mess.

The last part stroked a key in her. Her lips opening to object, Dasuki had already came to her rescue. Raising the prank she was getting her revenge about. She could only nod in agreement, as she continued to take steps back. At the mention of her sneaking more items in her pile, she let out an uneasy laugh. As the dark haired leader turned around to look at the girl in the transformer mask and her fellow tyrant. Smacking his forehead with his forehead. Obviously in disappointment, she heard the soft whimper of her boss as she quickly nodded with a salute. "Yes sir!" Throwing the clean ream of white copy paper and the pencil sharpner on the shelf closest to her. She had to bite down on her tongue before she said something stupid like. Have fun cleaning up my mess! or mocking the way their leader had thrown the knives. But there wasn't no point of escalating a fight.

As he began to give orders to Remi, she slowly pulled off the mask that was covering her face with one hand. Leaving it on the top of her head in a slanted position, as her other hand juggled the plunder of stolen items. "Okay Dasuki! Lets go Remi!"

Billy had a job to do, and it didn't necessarily pertain to those 'dumb schmucks', pardon his French, who more or less took over the entire department store he dutifully worked for even to this day. Quite frankly he couldn't find himself to appreciate the overhaul that they had done for the store. While the majority of the employees had fled for reasons which, again, were precipitated by the 'dumb schmucks', Billy chose to stay, knowing too well that there wasn't much waiting for him beyond the confining walls of Walmart. Since the day he had gotten accepted into doing janitorial work, after having been rejected several times by Target, he considered the place his sanctuary -- his only home, might he had added, and he made sure nobody could ever interfere with that even up to this point onward.

And so his day usually began with mopping the floors, starting off with the hallway where the lawn and the public bathrooms (the other on the far end) could be found nearby. Before anything else, he marked his starting point with a wet floor sign and worked his way from the opposing end. It served as an indication to his presence, and as an underlying caution for those who would dare attempt to cross the established border; a measly wet floor would be the least of their worries by then. While the schmucks had their own little gizmos to toy with each other, Billy had his own fair share of appliances he could utilize against them, if needed. Just as long as they would mind his business, then he would reciprocate in return. There had been occasional instances where some kids substantially lacked in that department, and those were the ones who Billy tended to hold grudges in the most. It would have been in their best interest to do anything but to provoke the man in the first place. In light of that, he didn't have any problems alleviating his grudges so far, for the night had yet to fail him so.

The night where a 'hunt' was just begging to take place.

Gears, leader de facto of
The Butterfly Bandits

Gears almost smiled at the mention of last April Fools day. Fruit filled with firecrackers, added to their snack supply. Classic~. The Techies turf had smelled a bit of fruit salad ever since. "Fine. Keep an eye on her unless she wants me to actually aim next time." he warned, walking over and sliding his foot across the stash Charlie had kept. Now she had four lightsabers, a Transformers mask, a staple gun, and oh yeah. Her unharmed self.. He had kept a ripped up dart board on display from his and Elza's knife/pencil throwing as a warning. They had good aim.

"I don't recommend going to the dairy aisle for about an hour. Queeny is hanging out their and she's on one of her annoying power strolls." he commented. He had no problems with most kids here, except Queeny and now Charlie with that roller-bladed fellow. But bovody deserved the annoying Queen Bee. Crazy lady. He stayed off their turfs unless it was unavoidable and expected the same. He had no reason to steal hair dye or video games. A brainiac at heart, but he preferred actual activity. Elza should still be here. He whistled once and said to the crew "Elza, go over to the bakery and get Hood. We're having a meeting since Gwen is busy. Ivory I'll be there in a second." In truth she had rushed of to the bathroom. He had heard slight groaning from there alright. But he wouldn't embarrass his second around another gang.

The deal was made and all was well between the two factions. For the most part. Gears still insisted that Charlie clean up her mess, but Daiki reminded him that the Butterflies pranked the Tyrants not long ago. Who was left to clean up that mess? Not the Butterflies, that was for sure! That day certainly sucked. Remi remembered being extremely fortunate that the Techno Tyrants had control over the cleaning supplies. Having those materials at your disposal at anytime was quite convenient! Once that was done, Daiki ordered Remi to round up the troops and meet him at the restaurant. Saluting, Remi replied, "Yes sir! I'm on it!"

As they left, Charlotte told Remi that she wasn't putting anything back. That is until the Boss told her to put a couple of things back. "All right, sticky fingers! Let's go drop this stuff off!" Remi said once out of earshot of Gears. "Christ, you're ******** crazy pulling a stunt like that!" The two made it back to the Electronics section and stashed the pile of useful loot away for the time being. While there, Remi made the announcement over the walkie-talkie.

"Calling all Techno Tyrants! This is your very own Remi, otherwise known as Bass!" he said dropping his voice when he called out his nickname. "Listen up! Daiki's called a group meeting at the restaurant so proceed with caution should you cross enemy territory. See you guys there." That'd do. Honestly, he had no idea where anyone was at the time and he wasn't going to be the dumbass to go around searching the hard way.

Elzsalee's ears pricked up as she heard her name being called out. She trotted over to the scene as the opposing group dispersed and handed their leader his blades tentatively. She yawned loudly and patted the huge bruise on her forehead. It had produced a perfectly circle-shaped bump on her head and when she caught her reflection in the shiny knives she was holding only a few seconds ago, she could see that practically a quarter of her face had turned a marvellous purple colour. She gazed absentmindedly at her reflection while wondering, 'Who the hell keeps paperweights on the top shelf? Seriously... idiots.' Her mind snapped to attention a second later, as Gears addressed her. He seemed slightly pissed, although she couldn't blame him. Who was gonna clean up that mess? Elzsalee probably would end up doing part of it anyways, she raided the home and office section often enough herself, looking for even sharper things to throw, and it would be hard to search if everything was all messed up. Plus she had to move those gosh darned paperweights somewhere else, where they couldn't attack people anymore. Evil paperweights.

Elzsalee nodded at Gears. "Okay, I'll go get her. Where's Gwen, by the way?" she asked as the Techno Tyrants were definitely out of earshot. She paused, not sure if she wanted to know the answer. She shrugged. "Well, whatever. I'll go to the bakery and fetch Hood, and any other Bandits if I see them along the way." She waved her hand and skipped away along the corridors, the hood on her hoodie slipping off as she moved. As she turned the corner into neutral territory and the bakery came into sight she slowed down and puffed. Damn, asthma was annoying. No running. No dust. No exercise. No excitement. Heck, she even had to stay away from flour! She got her breath back and glanced around. Not many people there, everyone must've already finished their breakfast, or they didn't feel like bread this particular morning. She passed by two people, one with his arm slung around the neck of another. She giggled softly to herself.'Whooooa what a couple.' She sneaked a look over her shoulder. Hey, it wasn't illegal to check out good looking guys. She faced the front and smiled. They seemed to be neutrals. That meant she could befriend them... Right?

Elzsalee followed the scent of freshly baked bread and arrived in a cornucopia of baked goods. She breathed in the sweet aroma and ran her fingers through her long black hair. Thankfully, it wasn't as sticky as she thought it would be. She looked at a metal plate propped up on its side and peeked into the reflective surface, trying to arrange her fringe so it covered the worst of the lump. Somewhat satisfied with the result, she nodded to herself and spotted Hoods' reflection on the mirror, behind her shoulder, munching on something that looked like cake. She couldn't be sure, she was just guessing as cream and crumbs were all over her face. She turned and approached the older girl and remarked, "Hi Hoods. Looks delish. Sorry to interrupt your eating but Gears just called a meeting, so we need to meet up back at home base." Her stomach rumbled as looked at the cake remains. That reminded her that she had to do some eating of her own. She grabbed a sugar coated bun and took an experimental nibble. 'Not bad,' she thought, sinking her teeth into it, crumbs sticking on her face.

" Idiot.." He muttered clenching the cream colored bear tight to his chest. His face wet from the tears that he cried in his sleep. Honestly he hated the scene he witness every morning-- a scene where he didn't wake up to his little sister snoring face but instead to the cold hard floor beside him. Even though ironically, Elijah used to complain about how he hated waking to her morning breath. An now, he wished he could smell her horrible breath in the morning. It was a whole lot better than waking up and feeling alone. "Elzsalee.. I really miss you." He frowned as he pushed himself into a sitting position and began to whip the remaining tears from his eyes. However he didn't move but continued to sit in one spot as though he thought feeling sorry for himself was going to make his sister come back. But he knew well that his sister was now part of the bandits and seeing how happy she is with them most of the time. It just proved that she was not going to leave that gang for a long time-- she wasn't going to come back to him. His hands clenched into a fist at the thought. He really felt like an idiot-- sitting there, missing a sister who probably didn't spare a single thought about him but he couldn't help but still feel upset about the whole ordeal.

He would have continued to sit there and be depressed if it wasn't for all the commotion that he heard on the other side of the store. Standing, Elijah hurriedly walked in a different direction where the noise all came from as he clenched the bear much more tighter. Although Elijah knew how to defend himself. He just wasn't a big fan when it came to fighting even though it got him called a coward a few times. Though he didn't think that statement was too far off since he did feel as though he was. Eventually, Elijah had found himself in the grocery department which was also neutral ground. No fighting occurred or at least they tried to avoid it. Feeling a little more at rest, Elijah had loosen his grip on the stuff bear. He began to walk in the direction of the bakery thinking the sound of a muffin would be nice to eat. He stopped however as he saw Elzsalee, his little sister, walk into the bakery. " Should I go in?" He pondered as his eyes stared at the ground below him.

No, these were her belongings, she got them through her hard word and planning. They were retrieved for her and not any one else. The notice that came through the walki-talki's was barely audible to her from the distance she was from her little communication box. She could hear what she needed to though, meet at the restaurant. That was only a short sprint from here. Now the only question was, what was she going to do, she would have to think and act fast, don't turn back.

Spark watched Vamp closely as he backed away after speaking, he spoke so gently, but with a hint of burn in every word. Noting that if she were to make the wrong move it would be her last. She didn't appreciate being threatened though, and this was not going to fly in her book, especially when she had not yet gotten her revenge for what he did to her not long ago. Her breathing slowed to a steady pace as she calmed herself rapidly, her left hand clenching the handle to the bedding set as the other slipped into her pocket. "You wont get away with this.." she said to him clearly, standing to her feet and raising to stand tall, her arms limp at her sides now as she retrieved one of her broken CD shards from her pocket. Her eyes were starring down at the linoleum flooring now, his dark shoes just barely in view.

Her body twitched slightly now, everything occurring faster then her mind could process at the moment. Kicking hard at the pillow which was laying on the floor before her, sending it flying straight at Vamp's face; just as she kicked though, she made a mad dash and leaped over the counter, clearing it entirely, her shoes screeching across the floor as she changed her direction, sprinting as fast as her little legs could carry her past the bank, the photo center, and through the entry area. Diving into the protective borders of the restaurant, causing herself to flop and roll across the floor slamming into the center pole of one of the tables.

"Eeerrrr..." she groaned, sitting up straight and rubbing her head, looking down to see her prize was still in hand, hugging it tight to her small body as she breathed heavily from her near death experience. "Oh NO!!" she shouted, removing her back pack quickly and digging inside of it, pulling out her breakfast burrito and examining it. A touch squished, but all in one piece still. Amazing.

Kerith sat legs crossed unblinking in front of a television surrounded by every system and framed by mountains of game cases. It would come as no surprise to anyone who knew the girl that she was playing one of said games and had been doing so since however many odd hours in the morning. This was the final level, and the boss was quite frankly pissing her off. "Die. Die. Die." she mashed buttons along with the tempo her drawling voice set, the ache in her hands had faded hours beforehand and nothing could stop her now. She blew a bubble and popped it all without breaking her focus. If she beat this level on the first try she'd be breaking the CPU's score and the initials "K.K." would light up the entire scoreboard. The final combo sequence was entered and the score tallied before her dual colored eyes. For her time itself froze, she stopped chewing her gum, and stared as the blinking spaces appeared on the screen just above where the system's randomly generated name had been. "YESSSSSSS!!!!" the high pitched squeal erupted without her consent and she grinned after almost swallowing and choking on her flavored gum. She'd have done a happy dance if the ache in her stomach didn't demand her to do something productive.

Peeling herself out of the Kerith shaped imprint left on the staff lounge couch the teen stumbled as she regained her footing. The wild mass of dark hair upon her head remained uncombed and save for two clips the color of her eyes it held no accessories. Her black sweater shirt hung off of her tiny frame and her baggy cargo pants with a gazillion pockets made a shuffling sound every time she moved. Deciding to comply with her stomach's demands for more nutrition besides accidentally swallowed pieces of bubblegum she exited the staff lounge. Her energy depleted with her uncharacteristic shout she walked slowly with quite possibly the worst posture of one her age. Fifteen, sixteen, she couldn't remember but it was one or the other, of that she was sure. Walking through the animal themed aisles of the pet shop she'd claimed as her special place Kerith blinked lazily as she left the section behind. Hands in pockets and back bowed like a modern Quasimodo she crept along the blindingly white tiles of the Walmart's floor. Moving fast wasn't a must unless she was forced to run from one of the other gangs residing within the previously family friendly establishment.

Pausing in her halfhearted stroll she tried to remember where exactly she was headed. Somewhere with food, the thought set her mind back on track. Now all she had to do was remember where those places were. Groaning she looked in every direction hoping to jog her sluggish memory. Still the only thing she could remember was the endless specials list from her last conquest. Out of it she completed missed that the entirety of the food surplus was right across from the place where she'd just exited. "Oh..yeah," she muttered, her hooded eyes taking in the activity going on within said places. Heading for the bakery she blinked a little to long and ended up colliding with a boy holding a teddy bear who'd obviously been standing right in front of her. Losing her pitiful balance she fell on her bottom. It took the teen a moment to register that she had indeed fell.

"Ah, sorry," she mumbled, making no move to remove herself from the floor. Gosh she was tired maybe she could crawl?
                                            The bakery was right there.

The fiasco finally ended, and everyone started to disperse one by one. As the last few people fled the area, Daiki was left alone - the sound of footsteps slowly died out as he started to stroll back for the restaurant.

Geeze, what a pain! he contemplated in remorse for the loss of the batteries he just traded. Then again, he would've traded anything if it meant the safety of his allies.

Daiki wasn't really the materialistic type, and shunned they idea of having to fight physically; having reasons for not wanting to lift his fists? Maybe because he had a past that he wanted to keep buried. Nontheless, all he had to do was place his headphones over his ears and would soon forget about all of his worries.

As the leader of the Techno Tyrants skated down the aisles, his hands were snuggly kept in the pockets of his jacket, away from the slightly cold atmosphere of the store. Blaming it on the A/C that only he believed was not set to the proper temperature. It was quiet and peaceful, just the way he liked it.

WTF!? A cat? he mentally exclaimed. As a shadowy figure jolts across him, and dives into the restaurant.

Daiki rushed after, and saw Sparks crashing into the table. He approached her as she finished examining her "burrito" and instinctively carried her off the floor like a princess, and placed her gently atop the table beside them.

"Are you alright!?" he asked her, and smiled. "It's a good thing your burrito is safe, huh?" he added.

Looking around, he took a peek at the clock that hanged just above where the register was. It showed "12:17". He started to wonder, where everyone else was?

Elzsalee dusted the sugar crystals and the breadcrumbs off her hands. She glanced at Hoods, who was still in om nom nom mode on that cheesecake. She sighed. "Well um... I'm gonna go wash my hands, okay? See you," she said uncertainly. Did she hear her? She blinked and left anyways, she could come back and check if Hoods had left in a while. She looked down at the left side of her hoodie. There were some big, colorful buttons on it that her brother had sewn on for her, because she LOVED big colorful buttons. She felt the delicate stiches carefully. She didn't want them to pop off, she didn't know how to fix them back on, despite the little sewing kit and numerous sewing lessons her brother had given her, mostly in vain. She smiled to herself. The buttons made the gray material so much brighter.

As she walked out of the Bakery/Deli section, she gasped and backtracked. Were those... Muffins? Elijah loved muffins! And these were... strawberry? Her eyes widened and she reached up to grab one. Or two. If Elijah was considered short, she would be a midget, even though she was only a year younger. Damn that puberty. At first glance it was hard to tell they were even related, they didn't look similar. Different hair colour, different facial features. She looked more like their father, black hair and sharper features, and Elijah looked more like their mother, red hair and softer features. She was almost a head shorter than her brother, so she had to jump up a bit to reach her goal, her long hair whooshing everywhere. Honestly she wasn't that hungry anymore, she just grabbed a few for memory's sakes.

Muffins in hand, she strolled towards the bathroom contentedly, she tried to swipe the crumbs off her face with her sleeve but they were persistently stuck on. Her bruise was throbbing now, and if her brother saw her he would probably scold her for being so reckless again, even though the injury wasn't her fault... At least not this time. She grinned at the thought of his reaction. She rounded the corner and what she saw made her freeze in her tracks and almost drop the precious muffins.

Her brother. With a girl.

ON THE FLOOR. TOGETHER.

Was that girl sprawled on top of him? She couldn't tell anymore, her eyes were so dazed. Images swirled around her brain incoherently. The two people in front of her were so close together, Elzsalee's face turned red as a tomato. What on Earth was happening? She only came to wash her hands... "Wh- wh- wha- wha- what...? Eli- Elijah?" she stuttered. Her jaw dropped. Her mouth tried to form words but couldn't. She rubbed her eyes a few times and pushed her fringe out of her field of vision to see properly. GAH nothing was making sense today!
