The Story

There was once a village, a refuge for many diverse individuals who shared one common gift, the power over an element, Fire, Wind, Water, and Earth; and there even those who consider themselves blessed or cursed with the ability to control Light or Dark. These beings lived happily together while the rest of the world feared their existence. The Elementals remained together, protecting one another in their lovely village called Springhaven, a perfect paradise for them as they imagined only the brightest futures for themselves. That was until the King stepped in. He rules the lands with an iron fist; other nations feared his power and he continued to become stronger each passing day. The Elementals were not too fond of his methods, and rumors quickly spread across the land of an uprising. This quickly caught the attention of the King. When he discovered the village of Elementals he feared that they would try to oppose his splendid future plans. So he sent out his strongest warriors who also possessed elemental abilities known as the Phantom Soldiers to decimate the village and massacre all the Elementals.

The King’s warriors where scent out into the night, quickly surrounding the village without warning and viciously attacked. The warriors did their best to not spare a single soul and reduced Springhaven to nothing but a mound of smoldering rubble and beaten corpses. It was a terrifying night for the special few that managed to escape the slaughter. The survivors will never forget the pools of innocent blood and the cries of their friends and family that they had to endure as they fled from their broken paradise. The survivors swore to avenge those who were murdered and stop whatever plans the King had in store at all costs. They regrouped and traveled across the land towards the King’s castle, gaining new friends and fellow comrades to help aid them on their journey. The King’s warriors search for the survivors they failed to kill.

A week passed after the attack on SpringHeaven. The ‘Mad’ King was filled with disappointment that his strongest warriors have not wiped out the rest of the resistance yet. He let lose his prized hunting beasts onto the lands: massive sabortooth tigers armored with enchanted elemental armor. The beasts ambushed the group in the forest, killings many of the survivors of SpringHeaven, and scattered the resistance. No one is certain that the survivors are still alive, but the companions they gained along the way who lived want to continue of their quest in stopping the ‘Mad’ King from inflicting anymore pain the lands inhabitants.

This is where we begin, in chaos. It is up to you to pick what side you are on. Join the good side and stand up against the ‘Mad’ King and fight to stop his ‘Evil’ plans, or join the side of ‘Evil’ fight all of those who oppose the King and aid his plans in building his splendid vision of the future.

Rules

Please follow the rules of the forum. If any of the rules are broken or violated you will get warnings of your actions and will be asked to edit the post of said violations, if necessary. After so many warnings you will be Booted (Heh heh) from the RP and your Profile removed. If a rule has not followed in someone's post, please contact niegeno.

1. No God-modding, please. Also no killing another person's character without permission. PM them to ask for permission or ask in the OoC.
2. Please PM niegeno your profile. Title it 'Elemental' and put a cat_mrgreen for good characters, cat_twisted for evil characters, and cat_sweatdrop for neutral characters at the start of the PM. This is to show you've read the rules.
3. Do not play another player's character, or NPC's without permission. Message them and ask to find out how they might react.
4. Please try to be active. We know school, and work keeps people busy. Just please, make an attempt to be active. Post a few times a week if possible. You will may be messaged if you don't post in a few days.
5. Try to be semi-literate. Post in third person, please, and try to make the posts at least a paragraph long.
6. Try to keep it clean. Swearing is allowed. Romance is allowed.
7. And Most Important Have FUN!

Quick and Dirty Run Down of Current Events:

7-7-14: Ooookkkkaaayyy, this is gonna be long so hold onto your seat lol

First off here is our new map, the markers change as our character's location changes.

Secondly we have 4 different groups
1) This group consists of Anise, Damian, and Penelope who in the two days time skip have moved from a battle in the forest to the Elven Village by the ocean.
2) This group consists of Kishune, Emlyn, Akane, Hoshi, Jay/Gale, Phay, and Ezekiel who are currently in the town. Kishune, Emlyn, Jay/Gale have moved from the battle in the forest to the town in the two day time skip.
3) Kriuvin and Tiona (now a dragoness and not a young dragon) currently make up the third group and are in an unknown location at present
4) Angel, Amathal, Alida, Issiah, and Feria are in the Elf city.

Now to Plot!

So, since I'm not exactly sure where we lost you..., the current plotline will start from just before the time skip so after the time skip we can place you anywhere lol. What happened before the time skip is that Kriuvin and Tiona (young) were fighting in the forest, Bounty Hunter Jay/Gale comes in and takes a shine to Tiona's cuteness and tries to become friends with her while the dragon brawl continues. Somewhere in the midst Jay/Gale pulls out the metal plate that has been controlling Tiona up until this point, unbeknownst to everyone that the plate was there to seal up Tiona's memories and actual age. Now Tiona is a good guy and is of recovering while having time with Kriuvin. (so that's Tiona and Kriuvin)

When the plate was pulled a few of the other elementals (wind light and darkness mostly) sensed the tremendous power coming from the forest. Kishune and Emlyn went to investigate. Upon finding out that Tiona was hurt Emlyn tried to help heal Tiona only to find that Tiona, now the dragoness, very much hated the king and wanted revenge. As Tiona and Kriuvin left, Emlyn and Kishune focused on trying to retrieve the stolen plate from Jay/Gale who'd been using it as part of her weaponry during the battle. When Jay/Gale would not give it up a fight started....two day time skip....they are in the human village. (done with group 2)

-takes a long deep breath- Alright, group 4, well This group separated much earlier after Amathal had an argument with Kriuvin about fighting and how she didn't want anyone to get hurt but instead wanted a peace mission to the king in order to use diplomatic relations. When Kriuvin wouldn't budge Amathal left the group, causing Angel to follow after her in hopes of calming her down and placating her. However on their road they met Alida and ran into a little trouble with two evil wind elementals (Feria and Phay), resulting in Amathal being hurt. Angel, Alida and Amathal then travel to the Elf City in order to get Amathal healed and along the way meet Issiah and they head there together. Unfortunately Amathal is near death and had to be saved through methods that now put her in a position to be shunned by her own kind (elves). On a side note, Feria is there because when Amathal and Angel separated from the main group she met Amathal and argued with her. Each of them learned something from the other and they parted before Phay injured Amathal. However Feria doesn't like the fact that she had learned something from Amathal and not repayed her, hence why she's in the Elven City...with the two day time skip on this one idk where we're going persay lol.

And last but not least group one. -sigh- So when Amathal left Anise was distraught because she felt that Amathal was making the Elven Village by the ocean suffer because the main source of anything is between the chapel (where anise came from), the Elven village, and the human village. With phantoms all over the human village the elves were cut off from most, if not all trade interaction and therefore could not receive the resources they needed. With that Anise, Penelope, and Kriuvin had set out towards the village. However Kriuvin sensed a stray Tiona (she'd wandered from the village) and they ensued in a battle. When a shadow (kishune's shadow scout) went looking for Tiona it abruptly interrupted the rest of Anise's and Penelope's journey, making Anise worry for Kriuvin's safety. While she followed the shadow fox she didn't realize that someone else was also following it. We later learn that the other person is Damian, a dragon Halfling who is following the fox to learn about his heritage (since he can smell the other dragons but doesn't know what they are). In the end the fox headed back to Kishune while Damian and Anise pressed on to find the dragons. Unfortunately, Damian became out of control and started attacking Kriuvin, which Anise tried to prevent the best as she could while Penelope was rushing to find her. After Anise calmed Damian down and Kriuvin and Tiona had already flown off Anise helped Penelope get Damian on the kelpie and they rode to the Elven village during the two day time skip.



6-12-14: The 'bad guys' are in a town at an inn right now having supper. The 'good guys' were in a forest by a lake getting ready to head to a different town. The bad and good guys had a run in with each other not too long ago in the forest and fought. The bad guys are fine, but some of the good guys are still healing from cuts and bruises, but nothing serious.

However, now the 'good guys' have split in half and one group is in one area of the forest while the other half is in another part of the forest. And it's night time.

So right now for the good side (I think they're the good side, most of the character profile shows neutral)

We have Kriuvin (ice dragon), Penelope (Pathfinder), and Anise (Selkie) heading to the elven village (a village past and to the west of where Kitsune, Emyln, and ...um little dragon are talking with the siblings/twins)

Then there's Angel (name says it all lol) and Amanthal (elf) in another section of the forest near a village the 'bad guys' are in.

ANYWAYS!! Kriuvin, Penelope, and Anise are going to try and convince the Elves to help them get the Phantoms (basically people titled "evil" wink out of the village.

The forest had begun to communicate with Amathal that something was wrong, that something dangerous was approaching, and quickly. The forest communicated with elves constantly, even if the forest was foreign to a certain elf.

Amathal quickly looked up into the trees. She communicated in elvish because she didn't have the time to think of the proper English words to use, and she hoped Kriuvin would translate for her.

"Quickly everyone, we must climb! Danger is approaching, and the safest place in a forest is up high in the trees."

Normally, Amathal would face whatever the danger was and attack it, but the forest told her that it was far too fierce for her and her friends and that she should hide. So, she quickly began climbing the tree nearest to her. It didn't take long to reach close to the top of the tree. Elves were amazing climbers.

But when she crouched down on one of the branches and looked around for Kriuvin, Penelope, and Anise, she didn't see any of them! Where had they gone?

With her keen elven eyes, Amathal quickly scanned the trees around her and the ground. She saw the three she had just been with running at first toward the group and then turned quickly toward another direction. Amathal could see why.

She herself had momentarily forgotten about the group in the small clearing. But now, all she could see in that location was a large pool of blood, limbs, and a large sabertooth. Amathal closed her eyes and covered her mouth with her hand in horror. She didn't know who all had perished, but it had to be quite a few to create that large pool of blood.

Amathal remembered that there were others still out there. Kriuvin, Penelope and Anise were still out there. So, she quickly opened her eyes, took a deep breath, and raced through the tree tops after the others. She was so soft and quick that not even the beast could hear her.

Finally, she had caught up with the rest of the group, though she was still toward the top of the trees. She jumped down a few branches but remained just slightly off the ground on a low branch. The group would have to look up to see her. She noticed that at least the angel-looking man that had been in Saffron's group had survived and the other 3 were around him.

Amathal took out her bow and an arrow just in case more danger was nearby. She spoke in her broken English. "Hurry out... now."

Michael looked at her, as she said that, she can only use water magic, but knows how to deal with a earth user. While they continued to walk, with hearing that her father said she was like her mother. Listening to her, until she said prove it, stopping to turn towards her, as she had turned towards him. Hearing her say fight me. "I don't have a reason to fight you, Mizuki, and just to prove my abilities is now a reason enough to do so.", he told her. Their her turned back towards the direction he was going and continued on walking.

Mizuki sighed and continued walking "Well your no fun at all."said Mizuki as they walked through the forest. She heard something and came to a stop, "Stop, do you hear that?"Said Mizuki looking around. She had a bad feeling something was coming, its big, dangerous, and deadly. Mizuki looked at Michael "Michael, I think we should hurry, something is coming."Said Mizuki looking at him, she pulled out her crossbow, just in case.

Michael shook his head slightly to the sides from her saying that, as they continued walking through the forest. Hearing it as well, his senses tuning into it. "Yes, I do, Mizuki, let's keep going.", he told her. Looking back at her, seeing her worried about what it might be. "Stay next to me, Mizuki.", he said, with grabbing her wrist and pulling her to his side. Their he continued walking with her. His eyes constantly scanning the area around them and his ears, listening for any sign of movement that something tailing them or if something is going to attack them.

Mizuki looked around keeping her guard up on anything that comes their way. She felt Michael grab her wrist and pulled her along as they continued to walk. She looked at him, watching him scan the area with his eyes, he looked as if he was prepared to go into battle. "Your not a normal human are you? You seem human but, you're also something else."Said Mizuki looking at him as they walked, keeping her cross bow close to her.

Anise

Anise looked up as Amathal came down and drew her bow and shortly conveyed her message. Tensing a little Anise looked at Amathal and felt unhappy that she would try to protect them in such an unsable condition. "Kriuvin...job," she protested with her limited elvish word knowledge. Words was about all Anise knew of elvish and stringing a sentence together was harder than trying to bridge her relations with Kriuvin, however if there was trouble Kiurvin could do a better job right now. Anise looked at Penelope and Angel, 'Especially with Angel in a poor state as well this could go badly.' she thought before sliding under Angel's other arm to help Penelope out. 'Still, if it's enough to concern Amathal, then we probably can't afford the time to argue.'

Michael could feel her gaze watching him, while they walked, hearing what she said. "Really?", he questioned her, "As far as I know, I'm completely human.", he told her. To be honest he did have a feeling her might be something else, but didn't know what and if he was, he guessed his mother would have told him by now. But she kept it from him, since ninety percent of all demons are evil and didn't want him to fall into darkness because hes half demon. Eyes still scanning around and his ears continued listening for everything. "So are you completely human or something else?", he decided to ask her. Wondering since she said he looked human and seemed different, she looked human to, and was just curious. Making sure, she is staying next to him as well, the whole time their walking.

Mizuki listen to him as he said he said he was completely human but, he questioned it at first. She figure he wasn't told who he really was "I see."Said Mizuki as they walked through the forest. She heard him ask if she was completely human or something else, she shook her head. "No, I'm not completely human. I'm half human and half water nymph. My father was human and my mother was a water nymph."Said Mizuki looking at him.

Amathal tilted her head in confusion at Anise’s elvish words. She didn’t understand them at all. Is that what Amathal sounded like in English? She thought Anise would have known elvish since the elves helped her people… but maybe Anise wasn’t directly involved with the elves that assisted.

So, Amathal attempted to speak in English again. She pointed to her eyes and then pointed out into the forest in the opposite direction the group had just come from. “I… look… out. Best… eyes.”

Amathal might not have been completely healthy, yet, but she still had the keen, long-distance eyes that her people had. They were still working and quite well. She’d be able to see anything coming from a long distance and have time to give the group a warning to hide.

Amathal watched as Penelope and Anise worked to assist Angel in getting up and walking. As they did this, Amathal began to leap through branches with her bow and arrow still out while looking far off into the distance.

The sharp, loud roar of a sabertooth tiger suddenly echoed across the forest, causing birds to scatter and take flight from the tops of the trees in fright. The roar was full of hostility and menace, and one could almost imagine the sabertooth revealing its claws and preparing to leap at whatever had the misfortune to be its target.

Several seconds later, however, the trees shook slightly, and an even louder, more venomous roar sounded near where the sabertooth was, this one unmistakably that of a dragon, more raw, serpentine, and savage than the sabertooth's call. A moment later after the roar, gusts of harshly cold wind began blowing throughout the forest, becoming stronger the nearer one got to where the roars originated. A very brief, animalistic wail of alarm came from the sabertooth, then it spoke no more. The gusts died down, but the chilling cold in the air remained.
