-Rules-
-Follow the Gaia TOS, no spamming, no cyber, etc etc.
- No need to write like a novel, but more than few sentences is nice. No text talk or anything like that.
- Pictures, formatting and all of that is cool, but try to keep the pictures smallish and try not to have huge footers and headers. Nobody wants to read a song or poem with every post.
- you can play two characters, but use different colors for them.
- if there are questions pm me, don't cluster the board please
- no godmoding or killing people. If there's a fight there's a fight, but that's not the point of the rp and try not to destroy everything.
- No need for profiles. Just don't be like all powerful super vampire or something. Also any race is fair game. Title focuses on vampires and werewolves but elves, shapeshifters etc are cool too.
- No need to ask for permission to join, just jump right in. If you're doing something crazy though I will send you a pm telling you to chill out.

The City
A massive sprawling metropolis. Think New York. There's the rich high rises and fancy night clubs, as well as the slums and abandoned warehouses. There's everything in between. People go about their daily lives, humans and non humans alike. The humans know of the other races, but don't like to mix with them. The half breeds are treated like second class citizens, while the vampires and werewolves strive to hide their identities. The only rule for the nonhumans is not to draw too much bad attention to themselves. There are those that help to clean up, when a vampire or werewolf messes up and kills someone but tension is starting to build... especially in this day and age of social media and cameras built into every phone. Seems like things might hit the fan pretty soon...Humans against nonhumans.

User Image Raining again… she had never seen so much rain in her life before moving to this city… but here it could rain for days without ever letting up. It really wasn’t great for business. The street was deserted, as it had been almost all day. You’d think people would need their cars fixed no matter what the weather, but unless it was an emergency people waited till it wasn’t so dreary out.

She’d admit, even she felt like taking a nap right now. Pushing back from her computer Aria stretched with a yawn, her ears flicking back. It was nearly five… she might as well just give up on business for the day. Damn, her finances were really starting to look bleak. Maybe she should think about picking up some work across the street at the bar.

Or she could head over there for a drink, instead, she decided. Getting up she left the main office, grabbing her coat and locking up. The garage stood empty and quiet. A car sat waiting in one of the bays waiting for its owner to pick it up, but he shouldn’t be by until tomorrow. She had thought it was a pretty sweet deal originally, an auto shop with an upstairs apartment, located right across from a bar. It was even a bar open to her kind and others like her. But that was also the problem. It really limited her customer base. Humans saw her and thought immediately that she’d rob them blind somehow. Took the whole 'cat burglar' thing a bit literally…

”Definitely need a drink…” She muttered to herself, shaking her head as she thought about it. Aria pulled her coat on then headed out into the rain, grimacing as she made her way across the street over to Hyde’s, the local bar.

"Gaahhh!!!"With a loud crash from the doors as they were forced, a deadbeat From the bar came tumbling out and onto the sidewalk, grunting and struggling to stand.""Ungrateful Jerks! All the business I brought to this piece of junk bar?!?" He yelled out in a drunken rage, his hazey glare directed to the dark figure in a black buttoned down dress shirt, and a white vest.
With thick dark shades, and an intimidating size, he stood at the entrance with his arms crossed, Clearly the muscle that kept the peace in the building. "Your Tab has overdue for the past month. Get lost, before I start extorting it" He said with a calm tone. He secretly didn't want to do this to the poor guy, he had it rough enough, but his drinking to drown his sorrows began to drive off other customers. With a grunt, the deadbeat rubbed his mouth and began his stumble of a walk, trying to get his bearings as he left. ".....No self control at all." Yubel watched as the man vanished from sight, hoping he got better at the back of his mind.

Aria was half way across the street when this scene went down. In fact the deadbeat nearly stumbled right into her as he was shoved from the establishment. ”Hey watch it!” She shouted, stepping back as she scowled at him- not that he seemed to pay too much attention to her. It was very clear that the man was drunk- which was saying something about his character considering the early hour. Aria stood to the side, watching the exchange that occurred between the drunkard and the foreboding bouncer. The bouncer was not somebody to be messed with, a fact the drunkard seemed to realize after a moment as he eventually stumbled away. Aria stayed to the side, watching him go, then shook her head with a sigh and turned to the door. ”Bit early for these sort of antics eh?” She asked the doorman as she approached the entrance. She was a regular, stopping by most days after work, so she knew the doorman, if not by much more than name.

"In his case, no." Yubel said with a heady sigh. One could hear the foot steps from his thick cut black boots as he stepped aside for her to enter. "He just got divorced, and only gets to see his kid twice a week.s'been that way for almost a month. Been here drinking his sorrows away." He explained to her, only shutting the two large doors back once she entered. "But he'll live. he's a man after all." Was his response to the whole ordeal.

”Hmm... Don’t really see how drinking will help him solve those problems… but to each their own I suppose.” She remarked as she moved past Yubel and stepped into the establishment, shaking out her coat a bit to get off some of the water and tossing her silver hair over her shoulder before moving towards the bar. ”I’ll have a hurricane.” She told the bartender, sliding into her seat near the corner wall facing the door. She liked to keep an eye on the people coming and going, though not many were coming in at this early hour. Soon, though, as people got off work and the vampires started to come out. They seemed to like this bar, as did most other nonhumans.

"Its a guy thing, I guess." He replied, getting back to his spot at the entrance, and keeping an eye on all those who walked in behind the tinted shades he wore. He recognized her, the girl Aria Who had become a regular here. His eyes was always watching to make sure that the ladies who showed up didn't get into any trouble, or were bothered by any guys they wanted no part of, but he always kept her in the corner of his eyes, even though it was rare for her to be bothered, or rather need his help dealing with a one.

Yubel enjoyed his job. He got to stand around and look not nearly as tough as he was, and he rarely needed to show any muscle. Though, He looked forward to his pay, and getting off work though, enjoying his off time whenever he could get it. Not anyone could be a bouncer in this town. If he hadn't looked the part, then some of the nonhumans, would easily trample in over him and do as they pleased. And not many were willing to try, leaving Yubel to work more than most every week. Tonight, he'd be able to sleep well, and sleep-in for the morning, that being his day off, as well as his payday.

As he daydreamed about it, the bar began to increase in volume, the laughs and conversations of those out of work getting louder with each sip, or swig of there adult beverage. He snapped out of his own little world and got back to watching like a beast for his prey, knowing that this is the happy hour, when things can easily get abit rowdy.

First it was two people, then it was another four, then before long the place was fairly packed. The happy hour deals here were pretty decent, offering both a cheap drink and some good food. Aria was a particular fan of the ham and cheese melt herself. For a while she chatted with the bartender about the crummy weather and the recent movie releases. They were both big film nuts. Before too long, though, it got crowded enough where there was little time for them to chat and her food had arrived. The bartender got to work, and Aria focused on her meal, occasionally pausing to drink from her glass.

At a table behind her was a group of people laughing and chatting loudly. At first glance a person might take them as werewolves, but the fact that they had wolf ears and tails in this form actually just meant they were half breeds, or anthros. Relatively harmless, like herself, in comparison to some other races. At the bar, near her, though, were two large guys drinking in relative silence. Aria wrinkled her nose, picking up on the scent of werewolf. She hoped there wasn’t any trouble tonight. There’d been some stuff on the news lately… police brutality against a newly shifted werewolf, some protests that had gotten violent. Things were a bit tense all around when it came to the werewolves right now. Aria kept an eye on them, glancing over to the door to see what Yubel might be up to. Sometimes she worried for him. His job was to pretty much put himself right in the middle of danger when it occured, in a bar where dangerous creatures got drunk. It was generally a bad combination- but somebody had to do it.

”Another drink?” The bartender asked. Aria glanced back to him then smiled and nodded. ”Yea, thanks.” She answered, handing him her glass as she looked around again, taking in the crowd. She tended to be a little bit of a loner, an observer more than a participant. It didn’t bother her too much.

The night began to make its self known when the bar reached 'Breaking Point' A point at which tings got wilder, bar games being played all around, if someone wasn't doing shots of another, there was a drinking contest. If there wasn't an arm wrestling match, there was beer pong. Most people could loosen up here.

That wasn't the only thing that would happen around this time though. "Someone call a cab! We got our first breakdown!" Someone shouted as his pal beside him was out cold. The place went into abit of a roar, this meaning that someone who couldn't hold there drinks crashed from over doing it. With a heavy Sigh, Yubel lifted the drunk up with little trouble at all and took him to the entrance, where the smarter cabbies were waiting to haul people home. "Lets see... says here..... 250 Lexington ave... Yubel read off of the guy's forehead, his buddy having put written that on his forehead with a red marker while he slept.

While Yubel was away, It didn't take long for the small groups to began there glaring. Trouble makers, looking for a fight; and excuse to get violent for whatever there reason. While Yubel was unknown to most as far as who he was behind the shades, they knew well he could be a problem, since no one dared to do too much after he stopped a brawl that broke out long ago on his own. This was before Aria showed up, and before the place became as popular as it was then. He didn't come away unscathed, but no one wanted to fight a guy that could take such a beating and still deal even more damage then what was done on to him. It wasn't long before the insults began, and then the threats.

The two werewolves at the bar immediately stirred from their drinks when Yubel stepped outside. Aria had noticed their serious behavior of course, but she hadn’t expected action out of them, not with Yubel around. However, once he stepped outside they left the bar counter, moving to a table of college age looking guys not far away. The college guys were talking loudly, joking, doing shots. At least, until the two large men approached. They definitely got people’s attention, especially as they glared down at the group of drunken college guys. ”Did I hear you boys saying something about werewolves?” The first man asked, his arms folded over his chest as he stood glaring down at them. ”Something about ‘mangy dogs getting what they deserved’?” He asked, his tone cold.

Aria’s ears twitched, a frown on her lips as her gaze flitted to the door, seeing that Yubel was still outside. This wasn’t good. The table of college guys had fallen silent… except for one, who was laughing. ”What of it?” He asked, too stupid and drunk to realize what he was doing. ”If an animal can’t control itself, of course a cop is gonna put it down.” His friends shifted uncomfortably. The entire bar had grown quieter. Aria felt her pulse quicken and slid out of her chair.

”I’m thinking of putting you down kid if you don’t beat it.” The werewolf threatened, practically growling at the drunken idiot as he cracked his knuckles. The guy at the table opened his mouth about to say something-

”You know you’d just be proving him and the news right if you did that!” Aria suddenly spoke up, standing behind the werewolves now. The two of them turned around, looking down at her- then burst out laughing.

”Kitten, this is none of your business. It wasn’t one of your own getting slaughtered, so bug off.” He told her, turning away. Aria didn’t plan on backing down…. But she wasn’t sure what she should do either.

[******** DOGS!" A voice called out from somewhere in the bar. No one seemed to know where it came from, but another one soon added to the confusion. "CAN SOMEONE SAY, SPRAYED AND NEUTERED!?!?" Another voice shouted, only adding more fuel to the fire. Things weren't looking good, another drunkard getting bold and laughing out loud at the statements.

The once Silence bar was starting to get louder, and people were gathering and voicing there opinions, the ones that would get them killed.

"Alright, make sure he gets back safely!" Yubel yelled to the cab as it took off. "And that's the first one, a dozens more to go.." he huffed, looking to the cab drivers lined up on the curve with a chuckle. "Damn buzzards." he said to himself as he headed back to the bar, unaware of the events unfolding within.

s**t- were these people crazy? Did they have no clue what they were provoking? Aria looked around the crowd, trying to catch sight of whoever had shouted that- but soon more than one person was throwing such insults. The crowd of half breeds at the back table got up, growling as such insults of course ended up provoking them as well.

”This is no place for your kind MUTT!” The drunk college guy shouted at the werewolf, emboldened by the crowd-

At least until the werewolf roared and suddenly grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, pulling him from the chair and lifted him into the air. The college dude went as white as a sheet, suddenly looking quite terrified.

”I’D LIKE TO SEE YOU THROW ME OUT!” He bellowed, then threw the drunk idiot into the bar. People screamed and moved out of the way and Aria cursed. The second werewolf was going for another drunk idiot. Without thinking she grabbed beer bottle and threw it at him- it hit him in the head, shattering and soaking him in alcohol. He turned, growling and glared at her. Things were starting to go crazy now, all around them more insults being thrown, shouts egging them on, and fighting starting up. The second werewolf advanced on her. Gulping, she stumbled back. She could fight him, she was pretty sure- she just really didn’t look forward to it.
