Dangerous Reveler

Will set his drink down as Delilah gave him a paraphrased version of her background. She definitely was a curious one, a person raised by lycan and crusaders yet seduced by the vampires. He wasn't sure what to think about this one, only that he welcomed the compliment given to him. Will had a good feeling about the newbie, even though she hadn't even been around long enough to get marked.

Speaking of which, Sapphire had silently reentered the room like a ghost drifting through the walls and made her presence known. Her sights lay on Lilah as she ordered the blood doll markings to be made on her chest. Will rubbed the moving ink-like enchantment on his neck with his unbroken arm. He'd have to get his official tattoo done soon too. This didn't worry him too much though, the pain of an ink needle didn't phase him. There are far more things in this world that hurt more.

As soon as the thought of tattoos crossed Will's mind, Sapphire turned to him and gave him a time and a place to get his done along with Lilah. Fun. "I'll be there, and maybe ask him to do something extra," he replied, half thinking out loud. A design of briars on his shoulder would be neat.

"Also, Sapphire, have you seen Vasuki around lately? I need to thank him for whatever he gave me again for that broken arm. I should be able to get out of this stupid sling tonight actually," he asked, eager to get the full range of motion back into his left arm. His bone no longer ached, but he was told to take it easy for the next couple of days anyway as the fracture finished healing. Will was feeling mischievous and wanted to sneak another dagger to Lilah just in case, but that would have to wait for now. Getting completely healed was number one on the human's list of priorities.

-- Short post. >.< --
Sapphire moved over to stand before Will as he spoke of wanting to thank his friend and fellow Death Knight initiate for the strange and unique herbal remedy he was able to whip up with expert precision to quickly heal Will's broken arm and his other wounds. She reached out without a word to grasp one of his hands and turn it over in her icy grasp so she could examine it, nodding silently when she felt no raised flesh or hints that there had been burns there in the first place. "Good. No, I haven't seen him lately, he's probably training with the others. He is quite devoted to the Death Knight program, more-so than I've seen in a while. You'll likely find him there. He now resides in the initiate's quarter, shouldn't be too far from your new room." Satisfied that he was healed properly, she released his hand and let it fall back to his side.

"Ready to be free of this thing?" She teased, glancing to the sling he had been forced to wear for too long. "I've been quite patient...but now that you're healed you're fair game." Her wicked grin would betray her dark intentions. Even though William had literally just healed from the damage she'd done to him, he hadn't felt the sharp sting of her fangs in far too long. He knew the deal when he accepted her offer to train under her wing and become a death knight, there should be no surprises when she threw out such a blatant threat. He was already facing a long and painful tattoo session later in the evening, but that still left a few hours for a rather complex game of cat and mouse.

Dangerous Reveler

Will remained still as Sapphire examined his hands. Her hand was smooth but icy to the touch, yet his healed skin gave him no pain when it was poked and prodded. While his hand was looked over, the human took a mental note of the new quarters that Vasuki now resided in. He would have to visit there later on. When teased about wanting the sling off, Will shrugged and silently asked himself what the point was in keeping it on.

"Hmph, you're right," he muttered, undoing the knot on his shoulder and letting the sling fall off. His arm didn't hurt when it fell to his side, nor did it ache when he moved and bent it in several different angles. A great sign of recovery indeed. Will a smile creep across his face at the sight of his healed hands and arm. He never had such an injury disappear in such a short amount of time.

His time to rejoice was slim when Sapphire threatened his neck and shot him an all too familiar wicked glare. It was feeding time and Will was the main course, well, if he gets caught that is. Lucky for the human, his legs were still healthy and able. Will noted each possible exit to the room before he looked Sapphire back in the eye. Her gaze was powerful, seductive and easy on the eyes, yet cold and predatory like a deadly viper. "Still thirsty, Sapphire? I suppose you'd want me to make it a challenge, yes? I can oblige," he told her as his eyes narrowed and he waited for the vampira to make a move. He was in the zone, ready to react in a collected fashion to the savagery that was to be expected from Sapphire. Now was not the time to panic and flee.

Eloquent Hunter

Sapphire had expertly positioned herself between William and the only safe exit unless he felt the need to dive out of a third story window and risk injuring his arm even more. Though she hadn't planned on him being healed tonight and able to once again resume his role as her personal plaything, her centuries of fighting habits shone through in her every move and careful planned pathways. He would have to literally shove Lilah out of the way if he hoped to escape and rush behind Sapphire toward the main part of the castle. The vampira knew precisely where she was located in the room, not needing to move her gaze from where it was locked with William's own challenging stare. She held back a chuckle when he questioned her thirst, the ends of her lips instead curling up at his comment.

"When am I not?" She teased once again, standing completely still and statuesque as she observed William's every breath and twitch as he ran over his escape plan. "I wonder how much of a challenge you're going to put up...." She thought aloud, making a mental note to try and be cautious of his newly healed arm and hands though she could not make promises even to herself. Though in all honesty, his arm wasn't the part that was going to be in searing pain when he was finally caught. The vampira remained perfectly poised like a spring ready to release and send her wrath toward the human, but she resisted for now. She always allowed her victims to make the first move in a feeble attempt to evade her grasp, giving them a false sense of hope and an increased fear that she fed on as much as the very blood running through their veins.

Dangerous Reveler

Damn, is she really going to make me move first again? Will thought to himself as he and Sapphire both had a staring contest in the parlor. She had adequately blocked the most obvious escape, no doubt on purpose. Sadly, Will had no smoke bombs or other nasty distractions hidden away up his sleeve this time. Instead, Will eyed the nearest window before nonchalantly walking over to the clear glass and slowly opening it. The human's gaze would switch between the horizon outside and Sapphire as he stood there with one hand on the sill thinking about his plan of action.

Will stood there motionless for a moment until he realized that where Sapphire strategically placed herself also allowed him to pull off a nasty surprise of his own. Whipping out his pistol in the blink of an eye, Will aimed at Sapphire for a second before shifting his aim upwards at the mid-sized chandelier hanging directly above the vampira's head. One shot rang out and the bullet ripped through the chain holding the chandelier up, causing it to crash downwards in the direction of where Sapphire stood. The other humans would be safe as long as they didn't do anything stupid like moving towards Sapph. While the chandelier was busy falling from the ceiling, Will had leaned backwards and tumbled out the third story window.

Catching himself on an outcropped set of bricks below the window on the outside of the castle, Will would quickly move along to a different window in an attempt to get some sort of lead on Sapphire. Hopefully the chandelier would grant him just enough time that he needed. After going down to the second floor and passing by four separate windows, Will came across another open one and climbed inside. He found himself in a random guest room that wasn't being used by anyone at the moment. Trying his best to be silent yet swift, Will pulled out his handgun and knife before leaving the room and traversing deeper into the castle.

To Felix and Lilah, it would be absolutely shocking just how quickly the human just up and disappeared from sight. As far as they knew, he had just jumped off the side of the castle.

Eloquent Hunter

Sapphire's sinister smirk remained on her lips as she turned to follow her prey as he moved over to the window. She wondered how their ominous dance would appear to the two other humans in the room, but she knew it had to be at least somewhat traumatizing to see the start of a chase that would no doubt end in blood and pain, starring none other than the kindhearted male who made such a good impression on the other two. Even as he opened the window and took a moment to rethink his plan, she remained still. William may very well be stupid enough to try and leap out and grab another ledge, but with his weakened arm it would be quite draining.

Watching his every move, she could tell that he was going for his beloved new pistol before he finished gripping the handle of the gun. She chuckled as he aimed it at her, darting forward toward him and almost challenging him to pull the trigger. His attempt to block her off or trap her using the chandelier was a clever one, but he was just a tad too slow. The heavy glass and crystal sculpture fell in the center of the room with a symphony of shattering pieces and metal giving way. Sapphire didn't care for guns at all, classifying them as cowardly weapons that were only used by those who could not engage in a real battle. She had an affinity for disassembling guns in front of those poor souls who tried to use them on her. The vampira loved watching their last grasp at hope slip away with each piece she ripped from the weapon and tossed to the ground at her feet. She made it to the window just in time to see a bit of his clothing whip inside of a window on the floor below.

The vampira leaned on the windowsill for a moment, taking a breath of the crisp night air before she would turn around and walk with a determined stride toward the doorway leading back into the castle, stepping right through the remnants of the once beautiful chandelier as more pieces crunched and shattered beneath her feet. Her gaze met Lilah's for just a moment as she passed, her bloodlust causing her normally vibrant violet hues to be tinted with crimson.

Sapphire was quick to find a staircase leading down to the second floor in the direction Will had moved, each step silent and deliberate as she listened intently for any hints of movement. The human escaped into one of the guest areas, a collection of smaller rooms bunched together on three main hallways in the south portion of the castle. Only one row of rooms was lucky enough to have a window facing the steep cliffs and crashing waves, and unfortunately for him, it was also the hallway with the dead end after a few curves. Unless he had taken the right turn immediately, he would have to double back and take one of the remaining two corridors back to the main portion of the castle. Sapphire was not known for her patience, yet when involved in a chase, she had all the time in the world, playing with her victims until they were literally shaking with fear before she finally ended their pitiful lives. William was different. He wasn't as intimidated by her actions as every other human she had come across, but that just meant she had to work extra hard to force him to give in to his fears.
Felix took another long swig of his drink as Lilah said that she was a blood doll. He wondered if she truly understood the job she apparently volunteered for, though why she would agree to have these things done to her was beyond his reasoning. Blood Dolls were around just to act as food for the vampires. She mentioned needing markings or another way to protect herself from the fangs of the predators, and a weapon, which was unheard of for any blood doll. She really didn't know what she had gotten herself into.

The alcohol had started to work on his body by now, sending additional warmth and color to his already somewhat tanned skin. He just began to think tonight might be rather pleasant even in their current situation...that is, until he heard the sinister laugh that always sent chills down his spine. Felix looked up to find that their queen had somehow managed to move inside the room and appear behind Lilah. He held his breath as she worked her wicked games on the human girl, wishing he could say something to help but knowing that it would only egg the vampiress on. He cursed under his breath and took another sip of his drink in an attempt to distract himself from the display, only raising his green gaze again when she spoke to the other male. Felix had thought that Will's crest was a tattoo as well, but apparently it was some sort of illusion. Though Will didn't seem put off at all at the thought of having the crest permanently inked into his neck, even trying to decide if he wanted something new. Well, if there's an artist just waiting to work his magic on the inhabitants of the castle, then why not utilize his fear of the queen to get some awesome body art? Felix might even go indulge himself, if he could decide on something he wanted.

He looked over to Lilah as Sapphire sparked up a conversation with Will about his injuries, his bright gaze meeting her amber eyes as if silently asking if she was alright. Sapphire was a master of mind games, which she routinely used just to watch the humans squirm. He couldn't help but wonder what the tattoo design for the blood dolls looked like. He would see tomorrow though, according to Sapphire's order.

Felix kept to himself after checking up on Lilah, cleaning up one of the empty glasses that was on the counter and turning to put some of the liquor bottles away. Not one to eavesdrop if possible, he was unaware of the chaos about to break loose in the lounge until an earsplitting shot rang out followed immediately by the heavy thud and crunch of the chandelier as it fell dangerously in the middle of the room. "s**t!" He cursed, leaning over the front of the counter to try and locate Lilah. She had been standing much closer to where it fell than he had been, and may have sustained some damage from the shattered glass and crystal flying about when the fixture dropped. He stared at the mess in silence before turning his gaze to Sapphire who was now standing calmly at the window, though the calm demeanor vanished when she turned and left the room without any regard for the dangerous obstacle course that was left behind in the wake of the two. Felix let out a loud sigh, visibly relaxing when the queen rushed off in search of her prey, though now exhausted just thinking about having to clean up. Perhaps he would leave it for someone else just this once...

"Well... Welcome to Ubel, Lilah..." He spoke softly, knowing how this whole scene must look to the newcomer.

Lollilox's Queen

Delilah immediately regretted her previous request when the eerie sound of the Queen's laughter rippled through the room, finally settling on her ears. Oh, it appeared as though the Queen herself had made an entrance, and her focus as on none other than Lilah. The girl stiffened, feeling an icy finger slide down her jaw, then her neck. Lilah shuddered, though she remained still as she felt a sharp finger slide against her neck. Her skin pricked in response, and a small line of blood was drawn, making her suck her breath in for a moment. Was she going to drink from her? Right here, right now? She claimed that no such markings existed for her, as a blood doll, but Delilah figured they had to have something to stop the Vampires from slaughtering humans and instead using them as blood dolls. Well, Ubel was certainly far more dangerous than she'd thought. She had to keep herself in check and stay alert. Sapphire's hand moved lower, and she explained that since she was a new blood doll, she'd get her own sort of marking. Not like the ones that Will and Felix sported, some something a bit more difference. It was then that her hang landed right below her collar bone, and right about her bust. Delilah had to see, the Queen was certainly handy with her blood dolls. However, the cold will that the Queens hands brought was almost....refreshing, in an odd way. Lilah had an odd sort of allure to death....it mystified her and deduced her. She wondered if anyone in the castle held the same odd, guilty pleasures as her. Though some of them had to...why else would they be there if they knew it was so dangerous? The Queen then added that she was not to fight anyone off, and Delilah knew that the queen knew of her experience when dealing with other creatures. The tanner girl nodded, her voice coming out in a breathy manor.

"I understand...I won't fight anyone off, as you wish."

It was then that Sapphire turned to Will to inform him that he was due for his own tattoo, and that Lilah was to join him. The Queen seemed cold but....accommodating at the same time. She had to say, it was the oddest thing. But that was what she'd heard about Uber. Blood and gore would definite but class was also something taken seriously here. Will than spoke about getting more marking and Lilah briefly glanced down at her own markings on her ankle that her family had given her long ago, though she knew nothing of them. Her eyes snapped back up to attention as she suddenly watched Sapphire heal Will. Delilah knew of Vampiric abilities but she'd never actually witnessed a healing before, which caused her mouth to droop, slightly. Only to see that the Queen was ready to take Will on...meaning she was hungry. Secretly Lilah had to say she was grateful that Will was currently the one that was going to quench the Queen's thirst...Lilah had just stood there brainless as the Queen metaphorically marked her body, know know what else the woman might do. Not that Delilah really minded...

Snapping out of her reverie, she heard a shot fired and jumped back quickly, barely missing the shattered glass that fell to the floor in pieces. Taken aback slightly, her eyes roamed to Felix, who seemed automatically concerned for her. She nodded slightly, silently reassuring him that she was alright. And then Will was gone. And Sapphire looked damn determined. It was only when Sapphire's gaze locked with Lilah's that the girl felt her skin p***k with goosebumps to the woman's darkened gaze. It felt so right and so wrong at the same time. The girl's lips parted as the Queen moved through the house. Lilah's eyes were still wih with confusion until she finally turned towards Felix.

"And this is a usual occurrence?"

She asked in a rather blunt manner before plopping down in a seat, her mind obviously spinning. He seemed like he wasn't phased, as if this was a daily routine that he'd seen time and time again. And Sapphire....those eyes haunted her in such a way. She turned her attention back to Felix, her lips curling again in appreciation.

"Thanks for checking up on me, though. It's nice to have an ally in the house....and someone who knows what's going on. It seems like if I make the wrong move, my throat is gonna be slight eight different ways by anybody in the Castle."

She allowed another sip, her slight buzz becoming evident. She would have to stop drinking because she didn't want her blood to think, so she set the drink down and looked to the other human who she might call her friend. He was definitely attractive, and she sized him up for a moment.

"So, how did you end up here?"

Dangerous Reveler

The human knew exactly where he was going. Because of his former residence in this section of the castle, Will made the right turn out and past the staircase leading up to the third floor. Sapphire would have been able to spot a glimpse of Will move past as she rounded the corner on the flight of stairs. Will sprinted off down the north hall back into the main part of Ubel manor. While Will contemplated about turning around and facing Sapphire head on, he ultimately decided against it on the grounds that she may not be so easy on his newly healed arm after that stunt with the chandelier. Stealth would have to be his focus here.

Upon reaching the dining hall and kitchen, Will made sure not to bump any of the chairs lining the massive dining table out of place while he swiftly moved into the spacious kitchen. There was a lot of walking space in the room, as well as many places to hide. The human first bothered to turn off the lights before quickly feeling his way across the room to the cabinets. He had been into the kitchen's stock of food many times before and was able to feel his way to the spices. One by one, Will would take out a container of a strong smelling spice and throw it into the air in handfuls, filling the room with the strong overpowering smell of many bold scents and flavors. This would throw off even the most keen of noses from detecting a human scent in this room.

Will would feel his way one cabinet over and grab hold of a bag of flour before busting it on the floor. Even though it was already pitch blackness in the kitchen, the ensuing cloud of fine powder kicked up would obscure even the sight those with night vision. The situation caused Will to take a mental note of acquiring some form of night vision for himself. Meanwhile, the human kept his knife out and ready as he hid himself well in a shadowy corner of the kitchen, prepared for Sapphire's incoming presence. His breathing slow and controlled, his accelerated heartbeat slowed to a manageable rate.

"What are we hiding from?" whispered Bishopp's many, many voices. He was attached to Will now. As he had been with Sapphire before. Only he would hear Bishopp.

Bishopp Arumat

Will was surprised by the sudden intrusion into his mind, but quickly recognized the voice. Bishop, of course. "A vampire is stronger and faster than me. That can't be helped. I'm using stealth and the advantage of surprise to adapt to adversity," he replied mentally, trying his best to think the thought to the ethereal being of shadow.

It paused...

"Oh? Sometimes no matter how clever you are, and how many advantages you try and give yourself, the enemy is too strong. So i suppose training is logical. Still. I'll help you." he said. It wasn't an offer. Bishopp didn't care what Sapphire did, but it was ready to fight now, and it made no sense to help Sapphire. She wouldn't know he was there. So he would choose the time to strike, and perhaps a 'gentle' suggestion that they find something better to do than harm friendly forces.

Will thought over the shade's words. "Deal. Watch my back. You say duck, I'll duck. You say jump, I won't ask how high, I'll just jump," he told Bishop. Maybe a helpful voice in his ear was just what the human needed.

Eloquent Hunter

Sapphire was never too far behind the human, always present as her ominous aura seemed to follow just steps behind him with every turn he made. The vampira kept her steps steady and controlled, not wasting any scrap of energy or time in rushing after the human since she knew she would catch up to him eventually. Unlike most humans she went after, Will was either smart enough or dumb enough to try and make a tactical stand against her, often relying on the tools and objects around him to try and come up with a solid defense plan. Sapphire admired this about him, it showed that he could have a clear mind in even the most dire of situations, putting his fear aside to take care of the task at hand. It was a marvelous attribute, and one of the key reasons he was allowed to live so long even as the queen lusted for his unique blood. Sapphire enjoyed these hunts for a few reasons, though not the least of which was pushing him to his limit so he could become stronger to fight against the Crusaders. William was still very much in the middle of training to become a death knight, though his sessions came at an accelerated rate from the queen herself since he didn't have the years necessary to properly lay down the training regimen like the vampires who had all the time in the world. A human death knight was unheard of, but Sapphire was confident with Will's abilities and knew he would not go down so easily.

Stepping around a corner, her smirk returned as she scanned the dark expanse that was the kitchen and dining room. This particular area of the castle was perhaps the least used out of all of them, since the clan didn't need such mortal nourishment. It was only natural for the human to flee to a place he felt safe or familiar. With slow steps she moved into the darkness, first scanning the room to see that William had been quite busy in the few short moments of peace she left him with. A low pitched growl slipped from her throat as the cloud of scents hit her nose, pungent and distracting yet at the same time she didn't need to rely solely on his scent to pinpoint his exact location in the shadows. The flour was indeed a nice finishing touch, and would have thrown many vampires for a loop who would then rush in and no doubt be met with his waiting knife. Sapphire knew better than to make such rash decisions. William had been extremely resourceful when choosing this location and setting up his barriers, but he had forgotten one huge factor that he had absolutely no control over. Sapphire stood still and statuesque as she let her gaze scan the room once again, piercing the darkness and lingering on the white cloud hanging in the air before the ends of her lips curled into the wicked grin that was the last sight for so many mortals before him. William's heartbeat sounded loudly in the eerie silence of the kitchen, the rhythmic pulsing reaching her ears almost as much as the body heat he was giving off. It was obvious that he tried to slow his raging nerves and fast heartbeat, but even if he could slow it immensely he would not be able to hide it from her. Her gaze moved to meet with his even through the slowly settling cloud of flour as she stepped closer, knowing that he would not see her in the pitch black corner he was holed up in. She took care to move closer silently, avoiding every empty spice container on the floor as well as any pockets of flour lest she stir up another cloud and somehow get his attention.

Nowhere near finished toying with the male's mind, her steps stopped when she was standing directly in front of her apprentice. With predatory calm and precision she reached out to let her hand hover over his left wrist, fingers outstretched and positioned perfectly to catch his arm if he tried to move the dagger in any direction. Her other hand reached up to let her nail play along his cheek and leave a slice in the same location as the one he had given her in their previous scuffle, though now hers was completely healed with no trace of the wound that would have scarred on a human. She took care so that the fresh wound wouldn't leave a mark, but it would be quite painful especially if he tried to advance through the cloud of searing spices and other minuscule floating particles that would sting his cheek.

Dangerous Reveler

Will hadn't put himself in a complete corner. He knew better than to make such a mistake. The chrome cabinet he hid behind had two possible exits respectively on either side. While the kitchen had a very tense air of silence, the human put all of his mental efforts into listening out for the approach of Sapphire. The intensity hung as thickly in the air as the lingering clouds of flour. Did he just hear something? It almost seemed as if a pair of disembodied heels clicked against the marble floor.

No sooner had the sound registered in his head, Will felt the unmistakably eerie feeling of being watched, followed by a painful slice being made in his cheek. The human gasped and instinctively backed away until he felt his back hit the wall. A couple of pots clanged together and gave away his position. How in the hell could she still tell where he was? Will immediately threw away the question. He needed to act confidently and without hesitation. Ignoring the bleeding gash on his cheek, Will pulled out his handgun and positioned his other arm holding the Ubel knife underneath his firearm hand to steady his aim. He swiftly put two more rounds in the direction Sapphire had scratched him from. Both bullets missed and slammed into the pantry across the room. The muzzle flash from the firearm revealed to Will a snapshot of where the vampira had been standing. Slowly and steadily so as to avoid stumbling over anything, Will would strafe around the edge of the dark room and fire another two rounds at where the previous muzzle flash had revealed Sapphire. If Will picked up any hint that Sapphire was about to charge him, he planned to meet her with a swift series of stabs, or swipes to keep her away from his other weapon.

'Damnit, Bishop. Help me out here!' he thought very loudly as he assessed his situation. Sapphire still had an upper hand, and the kitchen ploy wasn't working as well as expected. Will attempted to get back to the door leading to the dining room as he slowly strafed to the other side of the pitch black kitchen. He could only avoid her in the dark for so long. "Tsk, always playing with your food," he said aloud, talking over the ringing in his ears brought upon by the gunfire.
