With the mention of the guests, Artemis pondered...A few were Jalns recognizable by their ears and tails alone, wasn't hard to see the difference between a Jaln or a Shildran- you simply had to look at their tails. In any case, plenty of them seemed to be enjoying themselves while those select few who simply stood around waiting for someone to approach them first. And she had to agree with Caelia's logic, in fact it made perfect sense. "Yes, I agree." she said. And was it her, or was Caelia getting kind of hyper?
Poor Umbral had begun to stutter his words again, making it seem as if he barely remembered anything. Sure he'd gotten an eye gouged out, but that was completely different from getting hit on the head. Well, given the outcome, it was also normal to feel hazy about such a memory. Luckily Tyria didn't seem to mind her brother's bashfulness.
As the Shildraina princess spoke of their mothers, Artemis blew some hair from her face in a semi-annoyed manner. "I think my mother does it just to grate my nerves, in fact she seems to enjoy tormenting my older sister and I...I guess I envy you on that one." she chuckled. She then went to mention her own family- well, this was a surprise! "Well this is quite a coincidence!" Although she was somewhat confused with Caelia going on about how she stole her beloved friend, or rather, her 'nee-chan.'
And it seemed she and Tyria had yet another thing in common in regards to mingling with the townspeople. "You know, we have a lot in common...I actually spent a lot of time helping out with their chores, too. One of my biggest jobs when I go down into the market is a babysitter of sorts- in other words, I keep the tykes out of trouble while their parents work. But I enjoy it; in fact I've become something of a sister to them." Some could be little brats but heck, she loved them all. "Although I've never done mining or tinkering labor...our father does the latter." She wondered if she should give details about her father...funny thing, he was a king and yet, anyone who had a first glance might mistake him for another tech junkie.
She couldn't help but smile as Xaelia took hold of Umbral before literally petting him. The way Inugami tails wagged was just so darn cute! So was the sight of her scratching her brother's ear. Awww! As tomboyish as she was, Artemis liked cute things, but unlike some tough people, it wasn't something she kept hidden.
At the mention of finding Umbral a dance partner of equal skill, Artemis rubbed her chin contemplatively. Ah but who? Oh right, Ziora did say he should man up and ask a girl himself, didn't she? Artemis wasn't about to let Umbral slip away without taking some kind of initiative, and seeing Caelia's outstretched hand, she nodded. "I'm all for fun, and to be honest, I think you and Umbral would look great dancing together." She said, not making it official, but giving her own little insight. It was up to Umbral if he wanted to take her hand and ask her to dance first or not- Arti wouldn't stop him.
Before an immediate answer could be given, a familiar head of hair appeared and wrapped its arms around Tyria- Speak of the devil, it was Amber! "Nice to see you again Amber, and while you're sober!" She couldn't help but joke about it. It wasn't hard to see the plotting smile which curled her lips, what was on her mind? Artemis' curiosity was soon answered as Amber spoke regarding a contest. A smile crossed Arti's own lips, but she wondered Tyria's say on this. "A drinking game, eh? Sounds entertaining indeed~ Would definately give me something to laugh about!" But with whom was Amber competing with, she wondered...
