Shame bit into Athrien as Charles explained what he had found out. He was several steps behind a private detective, and was simply following someone else's trail once again. At least this was hopefully going to be news to Lovi, so anything he'd discover from here would be of use to her.
With nothing to say anymore, the sellsword stood where he was and let Charles go on, returning the butler's dirty look with a smile.
The rogue walked calmly over to Charles, taking the piece of paper out of his hand when he had finished speaking. After accepting the slip with a bow of the head, Athrien made his way to the exit of the manor.
"
I will tell you as much as I can, sir. Thank you very much for your help, and I hope that you remain in good health. "
Before heading out of the Helman Estate's doors, the rogue brushed himself off.

After letting himself out (or being let out by the butler, more likely), Athrien would review the piece of paper and commit the brief address to memory, pausing only for a second to admire Charles' surprisingly neat handwriting.
The man then carelessly burst into ashes at Charles' doorstep, arising as his burning white phoenix form before most of the ashes even hit the ground. With this done, he would then head up and towards the market ward, looking around for an area that sounded like it would be called "The Hive".
It took little time for Athrien to find the area he assumed was "The Hive", and the low-flying white star would then make haste towards what appeared to be a church in the Hive. Since the burning white bird would already attract attention, a sneaky landing was going to be impossible.
Instead, Athrien opted to dive headfirst into the bottom door, stepping into the shadow of the crack under the door with his phoenix form as he made contact with it. Perhaps that would be enough for him to be dismissed as an illusion..?
At least Fortune seemed to be with him yet again -- the address on the sign and building matched the one given to him by Charles.

From his shadow, the rogue would then let himself in and pop out on the other side of the doors, soundlessly letting himself in. Though finding nothing interesting in the building, the sounds of screams from further inside was enough to bring the (still fancily-dressed) sellsword into a reckless dash towards the source. It was folly to think it would be Crystal, though this thought was enough to keep him determined -- maybe that male voice was just louder than
The stomping of the rogue was easily enough to make him heard in the otherwise empty (I think?) building. Before long, Athrien found himself witness to an.. inquisition?
Whether or not the rogue was in time to stop anything particularly fatal from happening to Terrance, it was evident to Athrien that something had to be done.
And so, with a quick lunge to the side of the scene of torture, Athrien would draw his shotgun and quickly blast out a pair of railroad spikes, hoping his aim at point-blank range (and ability to predict the priest's movements) was good enough to hit either, or both, of the priest's shoulders. To follow up, the rogue would then immediately attempt to run towards and shoulder tackle the man, bracing himself for any attempted stabbings that could come with such a move. Perhaps Athrien was going to get a shiny new memento out of this experience, though..
Phoenix feathers were fairly useless on their own for curing wounds, but were very handy when used with any fire or healing magic. It was going to be a bit of an issue to cure the scientist, but it was the sellsword's top priority to incapacitate the priest at the moment.
