While the quite observer type, Yua wasn't one for eavesdropping. So it was only natural that, because of the paper-thin floors/ceilings and hole-ridden walls, he felt guilty upon hearing the conversation between Atsuya and Makoto. He didn't have to be a genius to understand that something must have gone awry with Haiden's job, otherwise Atsuya wouldn't have been so adamant about getting a job. A heavy sigh escaped his lips. He was pretty useless when it came to helping out financially. Even if he had skills that would be useful for employment, his body wouldn't be able to handle the colder months, and would only hold if the place didn't get too cold to compensate the hot, muggy summers. From the dejected sound in Makoto's voice, he could only assume they were doing worse than usual financially.

Doing his best to act as though he heard nothing, not that he thought Atsuya cared too much, the Korean simply nodded in response to the taller boy's suggestion of seeking refuge in Makoto's room. He didn't want to be a distraction, seeing as the blue-haired teen already had his hands full with the baby. And, truth be told, because of his earlier encounter with Mr. Raccoon, Yua wasn't too keen on staying in the orphanage anyway. Grabbing one of the un-touched breakfasts, he headed back out to find the purple haired man resting in the shade of a nearby tree. Placing the plate on the boy's chest, he simply thanked him and headed off towards the forest in the direction the curious blonde had wandered.

She hadn't left too long ago, so in theory, he would be able to catch up with her. There was something unsettling about watching her leave that just didn't sit right with Yua. He had a sneaking suspicion she was headed to Reaper Valley. And while he had no desire to return to the wall, it would've been irresponsible to let her wander off alone. Makoto had his hands full already. If keeping Kira out of trouble was within his power, it was the least he could do. Shivering - be it from the cooler temperature in the shade of the forest or from the nagging anxiety of his destination and the missing memories that went with it - he continued onward. "Kira?" he called, stumbling on over-grown tree roots. "Kira??"

Now that the crisp fresh air was surrounding him, even as thick and humid as it was becoming, he could appreciate it. Inside his room had become stuffy, not to mention the depreciating condition, however it was mostly on Norris's side of the room. The rotting foundation of the homestead was something Isaac had to deal with when he first came to Shabby Meadows. He was far less of neat freak when entering his second orphanage, but the decaying state still managed to make his skin crawl. Being outside in the grass was healthier than constantly breathing in the toxins of those bleeding walls. After all, he had to be careful of cluttered exposure due to his respiratory problems, though he had been well off as of late. His inhaler was safely tucked away in his pocket anyway... he always carried it around when he could.

Isaac patted down his forehead once again, shifting in his seat as his dark eyes carefully followed the small print. He had zoned out of almost every distraction, except for a few sniffles here and there, when a familiar voice caught his ear. Isaac raised his head, adjusting his glasses as a figure rounded the tree and took a seat in front of him. The rustling pattern of the leaves above painted a weaving frame of shadows and light on the visitor. The male panted in the heat, complaining of the season. Isaac simply chuckled, finding himself more relaxed. Even with the extra company he did not mind since it was Yukio. He was closer to the orphan than any of their fellow patrons, and the other male probably felt the same way.

The blue haired teen examined the other's clothing for a moment, the cute icon of the bunny sitting on his pink sleeveless hoodie, and his somewhat short shorts. Lean pale legs were folded in front of him. Most of those living here seemed to be of pale tones, brought out distinctly when they were exposed to the natural sunlight. Isaac quickly looked down to his book again, dismissing any further thoughts until Yukio shouted in distress. The male blinked, examining what the other was gesturing to. Isaac peeled his hand away from his book, noticing the discoloration on the back from where he had been hit by Norris's little stunt. He sneered at the sight and slowly put it back. He bruised so easily... at least it hadn't broke skin. Isaac felt easily faint at the sight of blood, especially so if it wasn't his own. The sight, the smell, the exposure just made him queasy and anxious. The first time he had recieved a bloody nose, he panicked and sobbed, unable to do anything but fiercely quiver and wail until someone came to his aid. He was weak... very weak.

"The monkey." Isaac finally replied, shooting a thumb upwards into the tree, not minding what actions Yukio would take as long as it wasn't in front of him. Once again, blood being spilt triggered him. Norris had been easily concealed by the foliage, avidly listening in once Yukio made his appearance and found the perfect opportunity to drop down from his perch and play the role of an ape. His reappearance and avid howls surprised Isaac enough for the male to clutch his heart and steady himself so he didn't have an attack right there. When the clammy feeling of cold sweat wafted away from his skin, he brushed off a few leaves and glared at the troublemaker. Just before he was going to give a lecture, he was interrupted by the boy whom had stopped making a fool of himself and was keenly staring after someone. "Farewell...". Isaac lifted his gaze to see the unmistakable figure of Yua disappearing past the treeline further off. His eyebrows knitted in confusion. Kids wandered off into the forest frequently, though Isaac, himself, never dared venture alone... nor saw the purpose in it. He preferred to stick to routes, unless assuredly guided by someone. Always less chance of getting lost.

"So are you going to challenge Yukio to a duel or go chase after him..?" Isaac questioned, though not particularly interested either way. He just wanted Norris to get out of his hair.

"Aye, one quick duel before we part ways?" Norris flashed Yukio a smile, wielding his trust rapier again and moving into his dueling stance once more. A little fun before exploring was something he wouldn't say no to.

                                                                fallen shinee

II Kira Whitehall II
As Kira walked through the forest, protected from the sun by the tree's long branches and leaves she wondered what she might do if she reached Reaper Valley maybe she would try and make out the voices heard, of course many people believed it only to be the winds and that is certainly what the patrol that came out here at night thought, Kira honestly felt as though voices were calling out.

Kira eventually reached the short path down toward the wall of reaper valley, and set down the path, not looking back to see if anyone had followed because she figured they probably hadn't.
Kira soon was only a mere three minuets from the wall and it seemed as big as it had been before. As she walked closer the air seemed to get thinner almost as though this area was sucking the life out from everything around it, and soon she heard the cries that so many had claimed to only been the wind, Kira thought for sure she heard them say 'help me' but there were so many that she could never be certain.
So entranced by the area around her, kira failed to notice that the ground she stepped on was unstable and so it gave way as soon as she stood on it, in a flash Kira slipped and whacked her head on the ground only hearing the cries of help as she blacked out.

Kira slowly opened her eyes to see the trees above her just keeping the sun from blinding her. She then heard someone calling, they seemed close by but she couldn't really tell, "ouch" Kira's head was throbbing, fortunately to her relief, her head wasn't bleeding which meant with any luck the others wouldn't have to know she blacked out, unfortunately she realized she had also cut her wrist, it wasn't too bad so maybe the others wouldn't worry, but at any rate she thought it best she went back.
She heard her name called again and was able to make out Yua's voice
Yua he came? but he hates coming here Kira got to her feet waiting a moment or two so she could clearly make out everything around her, then she brushed the leaves off but when Kira looked in front of her, she realized she was still in Yule forest and not in front of the wall but I was sure I was by the wa- her thoughts interrupted when she looked back and could now see Yua, Kira headed in his direction not really wanting to think about what had happened right now and she thought it only fair on Yua he shouldn't have to go to a place that holds bad memories just because she had wandered off on her own.

"Hi Yua" Kira smiled and gave a small wave as she approached him "you called?"

Alicia walked around the property for awhile. She would stop to weed and water all the plants and she would follow butterflies. He chuckled as he followed after her. Eventually they made it to the forest and after walking a small distance, sat down. Alicia lay under the shade of the tree and pulled out a book she had in her bag. Alexander relaxed a moment, before he pulled out his voilin.

He thought a moment about what to play, then smiled. He chose The Blue Danube violin version. He smiled as he played a couple test notes, to tune it, then started to play it. Alicia smiled as she listened to him play. She loved when he played. He used play all the time when they were little and when he started to play again, she was happy.

Elisa brightened instantly at Mako's response.

Well! That was a lot less painful than she imagined it would be! And if Mako gave the green light, then it was close to earning a stamp of certification. Plus, Atsuya sounded on board, too. Elisa let out a breath of relief, a wide smile forming on her face. One obstacle down --

Something moved from the corner of her eye.

Elisa tilted her head up and cupped a hand around her eyes. Yua was moving away from the group, entering the shade of the building. The girl blinked, then gave a shrug at his answer. If he didn't want to go, that was fine with her; Elisa wouldn't force him to.

"Oh, alright, then, Yua. See you! " Elisa called, waving at the boy's retreating back.

People came out of the building, faces and voices and sounds leaking into the once quiet summer air, figures dividing and going in their separate directions. If she didn't know any better, she could have sworn that she heard music drifting from someplace, too. Elisa popped to her feet, swept off the back of her shorts, and gathered the blue plastic bags onto one arm. Then, swinging the last one over her shoulder, the red head strode up the sagging front steps, whistling.

The inside of SMO was what the outside looked like: just beyond the breaking point of collapse. Some areas were tidy, organized, and almost resembled a regular space - though finding those places meant walking through a zigzag of hallways with peeling paint and creaking floorboards. Stacked in far corners, there were paint cans and other knickknacks piled high; proof that, once upon a time, Hoffner had tried to redecorate. But the wasted building won out.

Hanging the fireworks bags on a kitchen chair, Elisa spent exactly three seconds in the building, going out the front door and vaulting over the steps by the railing to land in the rough grass. The red head locked her hands together and stretched her arms above her head. Scattered here and there, there were figures, their voices instantly clicking off names in her head - Isaac? Norris, Yukio? - and then there was the music...faint. Distant.

Curious, Elisa turned on her heel and walked lightly, straining her ears for the notes. Yule forest loomed and eventually towered over her head, sending dappled light across the ground, the music becoming clearer bit by bit...

All of the sudden a pair of blond heads came into view. Elisa blinked. The boy held an instrument in his hands.

"What song's that?" Elisa asked, curious. "Sorry - I hope I'm not interrupting anything, but...I never heard it before."

Alexander smiled as he played, swaying with the music. When a girl came over and asked about the song, he jumped out of his trance and stopped playing. Staring at her, it took him a moment to remember what he said. "Its called the Blue Danube. IT was written by Johann Strauss the second." he said with a soft voice. He made a motion for her to sit down.

Alicia giggled and waved. "My brother is really good at playing and this is one of his favorite songs to play... even though the full song is a lot longer and has more parts and more instruments." said Alicia. Alexander smiled and played another song, The Waltz of the Flowers. Alicia smiled and got up, starting to twirl around.

                                            Johann Strauss the Second?

Elisa nodded, but she didn't understand. She never listened to that kind of music before, and certainly never heard of that guy. When the boy motioned for her to sit down, Elisa looked around herself briefly, soon spotting a tree stump. Sitting on it, she leaned forward and propped her elbows on her knees and cupped her face in her hands.

He began to play, and Elisa saw the girl begin to twirl. Matched with the music and the glow of her blond hair in the sunlight, after a moment it was more like watching a princess spinning, building a castle in her mind. A smile grew on Elisa's face.

That would be good to draw later on... she thought, closing her eyes. Listening to the music like that, the girl let her imagination flow.

"That's really beautiful," Elisa mumbled once he finished. Opening her eyes, she grinned. "Is that song by the same guy? Johann...," The name lingered at the tip of her tongue. Her eyebrows knitted together for a second before the rest of the musician's name popped into her mind. "Johann Strauss? Did he make that one, too?" she looked between the pair, wonderingly.

Alexander smiled at his sister as she danced. He was glad when he made her smile, like she didnt have a care in the world. Alicia stopped twirling and got a puzzled look on her face. Alexander chuckled as the song ended. "No his name is... chai.... chai..." she said. She always had trouble saying the guy's name. "Tchaikovsky." said Alexander. "Oh yeah..." said Alicia, giggling. "My brother knows quite a few classical artists... but he plays more than classical music. Go on show her." Alexander gave her a look because he hated showing off, but if Alcia asked him then he guessed he could do it. He sighed, then thought a moment. He started to play a violin cover of Radioactive.

"Tchaikovsky...," Elisa repeated quietly beneath her breath, saying the name as if she were rolling it around in her mind. She couldn't blame the blond girl - that was kind of a mouthful. Whatever the case, this Tchaikovsky guy knew his music. Elisa was going to remember that last piece the boy played - it was gorgeous. She could definitely use that as drawing fuel later on in the evening.

A few seconds into the song, Elisa instantly recognized the tune.

"Oh, wow!" she grinned. Almost instantly, her imagination filled in the places where the bass would pulse and the guitars would play, the singer's voice belting out the lyrics.

"I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones; enough to make my systems blow - welcome to the new age, to the new age...! " Elisa sang, then she laughed and shook her head. "Oh, that song is everywhere, I swear! But it's so good. " Passing a hand through her hair, the girl straightened up on her seat. A wistful look came to her face. "I remember making an artists commission for somebody who liked that song a lot. Some kind of modern fantasy that had magic and war setting. They liked it a lot. Paid about 950, I think. Took me months to finish... "

"That's going to be stuck in my head all day now." Elisa suddenly sighed, but she was still smiling. You could get the feeling she wouldn't mind that song being stuck in her brain. Bright blue eyes focused on the golden haired boy and girl, and Elisa stretched out a hand. "My name's Hazel. People call me by my middle name, though - Elisa. What's your names? "

Each step was painful. It was as though his body were being assaulted by pins and needles. Breathing heavily as though he had just run a marathon, the boy's skin crawled as the walls drew nearer and nearer. All heat he had gotten earlier seemed to have escaped him as well. Slumping on a nearby tree, he clutched his chest, his heart beating anxiously. "What an awful feeling."

Images of dead bodies, a barren town, and a pair of eerie, hauntingly familiar, blood-red eyes flashed in his head. He could have sworn he heard screams of the boys he had accompanied long ago echo through the trees. Whether his hallucinations were real mattered little to the boy. It felt as though the forest were spinning around him. More horrifying images. More screams. More terror. Leaning over, using the tree as stability, he threw up the contents in his stomach. His body lurched as he continued to dry heave, his forehead now covered in a cold sweat. Coughing, Yua tried to settle his mind. Wiping his mouth and face on the sleeve of his worn sweater, he tried to continue onward to find Kira. She shouldn't go near there. He couldn't remember what was there, but it was something bad. Something she should steer clear of...But what?

His legs trembled violently as he continued onward, his ears soon picking up on the young girl's voice. Wiping his face once more, trying to recollect himself, he sighed a breathe of relief that she seemed safe...However, it didn't appear as though everything went well, despite the smile she gave. (Not that he should be one to talk, it was likely he looked horrible -- well, more so than usual.) Frowning, he crossed his arms over his chest. "You made it to the wall." He stated, not asked. He was an observer, so it wasn't hard to tell by her slightly disheveled appearance that something had happened. "You're covered in dirt, you have a tear on your pants, and you're bleeding." He pointed to her injured wrist. It didn't look to be fatal or anything of that matter, but it would be a big enough of a concern to Makoto. He was sure the girl could come up with an excuse or a white lie about it, but it was hard to fool the blue haired man.

Turning around and side-stepping an old stump, he started heading back to the orphanage. "We should go back. It's not safe, and you shouldn't make others (Makoto) worry." Like flicking a light switch, Yua was back to his typical composed, cold self. With the walls of Reaper Valley out of view and the path leading back to the comfort of the worn-down building in mind, all anxieties left the teen. Shabby Meadows was really the place meant for him. Ushering the blonde to follow him with the wave of his hand, he continued back, trying to brush off the earlier panic attack in hopes that he wouldn't be bothered by Kira nor Makoto. He hated when others worried over him; he wasn't a child. And he figured his freak out was just due to trauma. He was still alive and it appeared the temperature loss was just a figment in his head. So, there shouldn't be a need to get all up in arms, right? Right.

"Besides, Hazel...er...Elisa wanted to go to an amusement park with everyone and set off fireworks in the evening. Rather than coop yourself in the orphanage or put yourself at risk of injury (or worse) in Reaper Valley, you seem like the type of person that might enjoy rides or games or something." He was really bad at conversations...And although he didn't want to show it, he had been worried about the girl.

Alexander chuckled when she started singing. He loved that song, which is why he learned to play it. He knew he's be humming it the rest of the day. He noticed that she was talking about art and a peice of artwork she had done. "What media did you use for the painting?" he asked. Alicia was slightly surprised. This was the most he had talked to anyone since they had been here. She sniled though and listened as they talked. When the girl introduced herself, she jumped up and shook her hand. "I'm Alicia and this is Alexander." she said, thinking the girl's name familiar. Alexander shook Elisa's hand as well.

place: Yule Forest tab company: Alexander and Alicia . tab thoughts: They both seem nice ~

Taking and shaking a hand of theirs each, the girl nodded. Alicia and Alexander. Easy names to remember.

"Nice to meet you both," Elisa said genuinely. And it was nice to meet them. While she loved spending time with the kids that she knew, seeing new people was like a breath of fresh air, in Elisa's opinion. It meant new adventure. Her mind backtracked, coming around to the question of what media she used for her art. She scratched the bridge of her nose with her finger and let out a long breath.

"I have to do my art by hand. If I screwed up a sheet, I had to scrap it. That's why it took me months," Elisa admitted, and gave a shrug. "Not a lot of art-related media in the good ol' Meadows, but what can you do?"

A thought sprang into her head. Elisa straightened. "Do you guys like art? I could show you some - I think I've got a sheet from that commission hanging around in my room somewhere." Looking back to the shape of Shabby Meadows, the girl flapped a hand at the building. "I gotta repay you for letting me listen to your music somehow. " she added, jokingly.

Alexander blushed and shook his head. He was going to say that she didnt need to do that, but he did want to see her art. Of course, it was Alicia that decided for them. "I wanna see! Pleeeease Onii-san? Pleeeease?" she said as she started shaking him. He grabbed her arms to stop her from shaking him and nodded. Alicia smiled. "Yay!" she said.

Hadrian shriveled away as he witnessed the emotions that passed one by one on Makoto's eyes. Sorrow, anger, confusion, and finally disappointment. The last made Hadrian feel more like a failure than just the victim he really was. He wholeheartedly believed that it was ll his fault that he got fired from his job. And even though Makoto told him not to worry about finding a new one he couldn't help but do just that. He knew that the family was heavily dependent on his factory job, no one else made as much money as he did, it was even better that the pay-checks were weekly.

But now here he was jobless, leaving the orphanage without an income big enough to support them. Hadrian knew he had no choice but to just go out and find another job, with or without Makoto's knowledge or approval. There were only four older orphans that were actually old enough to legally get a job. but some of them chose not to pursue that path, preferring to spend their time else where. Makoto was one of those few people who was better suited to help around the orphanage. It was because of him that they younger kids were well looked after and taken care of, without him staying home this orphanage wouldn't have probably lasted very long and everyone would be on the streets or dead.

Hadrian wouldn't let Makoto go out job-hunting, it wasn't his responsibility. After Hadrian took a quick bath and a nap he would get right back out there and start the hunt. He recalled seeing a help wanted flyer for the local grocery store, but that kind of a ob didn't pull in too much money, not nearly enough to support the orphanage. Maybe that construction site going on at the other end of town was willing to hire him? They probably would turn him away because of his small stature and weak looking body.

After Makoto left the room Hadrian headed to the only bathroom in the place, making sure to grab his sleep pants from his and Makoto's bedroom beforehand. The bathroom was small with only a small sized tub, a toilet, and a tiny sink, but it was better than nothing right? Hadrian turned on the water and then stripped out of his clothes while the tub filled up. He passed the few minutes by examining his body, his ribs were starting to leave slight indents in his skin, not enough to actually see, but if he moved a certain way they would jut out at odd angles and create divets in his abdomen. The same went for his hips, they were pointier than they had ever been before, probably from all the exercise he got at his previous job and no nutrients to give him energy. His body was sucking away all his fat and muscle to make up for the imbalance.

When the water was half way up the side of the tub Hadrian shut off the water, sliding in gratefully with a sigh. He sat there for a few minutes but then got to work with scrubbing his body away from dirt and grime. There was no time to waste in relaxing when one of the orphans could be felling hungry or too hot right now, he needed to refresh himself and get back out there. So after a few more minutes of scrubbing, Hadrian pulled the plug and got out, drying himself on a worn out towel, then dressing quickly.

He walked out of the bathroom and traveled to his room, collapsing on the his bed with another great, heaving sigh. He really needed to stop doing it that, it was starting to make his throat sore. So without further a-do, he set the alarm on his old clock to go off in a few hours and then settled down for some desperately needed sleep. He fell asleep almost instantly o the ticking of the alarm clock.

II Kira Whitehall II
'help me' the many voices echoed in Kira's head as she headed to where Yua was, every time felt like a dagger in her mind. Why was it that even though most people could only hear wind or moaning she could make sense of the voices that called? Maybe the towns people just hadn't listened clearly, whatever the reason was Kira was not in the right mind set to figure it out right now.

As she stood facing Yua, she could tell instantly that he didn't feel well heading down this path, and her smile dropped, yes she had made it to the wall again and yet again something occurred, but for Yua to have to come out here a place he hated to think about just because of her curious mind was unfair. She hadn't even noticed her own state until he pointed it out, the only thing she had noticed was the cut on her wrist, but what she felt worse about was making Yua upset he didn't often get upset, and so to see him like this was surprising.
"yeah I made it, (sort of) but I ended up stepping on some unstable ground and slipped, so I decided to head back, when I noticed you" Kira felt it best not to mention the fact that she'd blacked out, she had already caused enough problems with the state she was in, and she didn't want Mako to worry over something she had been silly enough to have done.

Kira could only nod and apologize "I'm sorry" something she would probably no doubt be saying to Mako at some point today, but the first thing she wanted to do was wash and put a bandage round the cut and then change into something new, she would need to sow her jeans at some point, but that could wait until later.

As they headed back to the orphanage Yua, seemed to be back to his old self, this gave Kira a small sense of relief, although she still felt it best that she didn't wonder off to Reaper Valley for a while, if ever again, although Kira could never guarantee that.
When Yua mentioned the idea of going to an amusement park Kira perked up a bit, truth be told she was more intrigued than excited, Kira knew what kind of things were at amusement parks but she had never actually been to one or seen one in real life "sounds like it could be fun, I've never been to one so I'm not sure if I enjoy rides or not, um are you going to go?" what Kira had just said probably sounded really silly, but for an orphan would it be such a strange thing to have not been to an amusement park. It's not as though Kira's parents would have ever taken her, they were to busy shouting at each other, shouting at her or beating her, not really a family that would do the normal family things.
Soon they had reached the end of Yule forest and Shabby Meadows stood in front of them.
