Ersa waited patently until the room was filled, she put her hand to her mouth and blew making a high pitched loud whistle to gain every males attention. Once the place quiet and all eyes wer eon her she spoke up. " Alright boys listen up! behind me is the entrance way to the proving grounds and your opportunity for a mate. But there are some Rules and regulations that i must go over before you are able to go out there!" she shouted her speech to make sure all was able to hear her. " Rule one! the females pharamons are strong and will make you go crazy. You will become aggressive and itching for battle, your lusts will run high and you will want to mate with every female you can get your claws into. The entire proving grounds will be filled with these. How ever! Actual mating is prohibited until after a true mate has been chose on the end battles. So keep it in your loin cloths men!" She stared at every male she could giving them a glare of warning, she knew that was going to be easier said then done especially out there she remembered. " Rule two! There is absolutely no killing! Tension and lust will be high! Your taste for blood and battle will run rampid but there is no killing it is forbidden! knocking out and maiming is fine but kill and you will be hunted down and pulled form the hunt. It is dihonrable!" She had a small list of rules but they were important. " Rule three! This is your chance to prove that you are worthy of a mark, do not make yourself easy for the females. Show them your skills, show them you are desirable, do not just give in! A male that just gives in will be seen as weak by the females and will be rejected, do not give them a reason to reject you! Lastly! some of you will receive more the one mark from many diffrent females. if that is to happen then you must battle all other males that have been marked by both females untill you lose or win. Lose a battle and you will be out of the running for the female you were battling for. Win and it will be the females who will fight for you!"

That was the last of her rules and she put the bored she was holding away to speak with the males normally. " This is going to be one of the biggest days in your life, most if not all of you will find somone that you will be with for the rest of your lives. These females will be choosing you but you must choose them as well. You do not want to be with a female you will not be happy with. You must keep your wits about you the best you can, it will be hard, painful and chaotic. But when all this is over you will feel a sense of accomplishment and pride that you have never felt before. Now some of you may receive more then one mark. This is perfectly fine be honored that multiple females find you desirable. One year one poor bastered was marked by six different females." That was an interesting day, the poor male was exhausted and almost falling over by the time he had finished his battles." Some of you may not get a mark at all, and that is alright. Do not feel dishonored of dejected, that just means your true mate has yet to come to age.You are welcome to return next year and so on and so forth until your destined mate is found. Do your best out there men, and good luck!"

With that stated She stepped to the side and the doors opened to allow the men to enter the proving grounds.

Apox was one who usually adored the weird aspect of things, truly adored it. Hell he'd go above and beyond to know a "weird" person before extending a hand to a popular or "cool" one. But at this very moment he wanted to be as far as possible from the weird or unfamiliar. With that said it was no great secret why he felt joyful to see that the male was quite normal in appearance; no extra eye, nose, or blue tears. The male looked quite normal and Apox took solace in the fact. Apox shakily attempted to get up by aid of the tree but found himself failing at first. The second go round he made sure his hand was firmly on the tree and rise he did if a little shaky. As the male approached Apox looked down to the ground and took in deep breathes, attempting to aid his body in recuperating. As the male approached Apox's green eyes scanned him up and down, picking out details. The boy before him didn't appear to be someone your guard needed to be up around but that certainly didn't shed light on his mental standings. Sometimes the most murderous of people were the most normal in appearance. With that said Apox made sure to keep a eye out for anything odd. The sweat that had just been wiped from the black haired male showed he had been exerting himself probably just as bad as Apox. The breaths were also a sign that perhaps he wasn't up to anything evil or frowned upon.

As the male talked Apox looked passed him but continued to listen as he observed the environment. The plants looked similar to that on Earth but had their own uniqueness to them. Being one who loved science there were few plants Apox had no knowledge on so how confused he was to finally notice his surroundings. The four limbed monkey he saw for only a second came back to mind and again Apox found himself confused. He knew animal facts more than he did plants, hell he knew animal anatomies more than he did his own! That four limbed monkey shouldn't have existed had he been on Earth. The word predicament spewed from the male's mouth and that quickly brought Apox's eyes back to look into the male's ... weirdly colored ones. "A predicament," he smirked "that's what you would call it." He moved passed the man as to get a full view of the terrain around him, being extra careful not to stumble into the river that had only moments before claimed him. "It's a got damn paradox!" He shouted with his arms wide as if embracing the air. "A got damn marvelous one!" Now recovered the male was not so dependant upon the comfort that mundaneness brought.

Apox now was returning to his regular self, adoring the weird and odd which this place had plenty. He turned back to the male after having this slight nerdgasm. "Where in God's good name are we lad? And while we are on his name, what might I call you?" A thick Irish accent breaking through. He suspected the male had no idea and so before waiting for a response he moved forward slowly, expecting the male to follow as he went down stream. Surely some civilization could be reached.

Their journey from their home to the Capitol city wasn't all too quiet. Krishna was the talkative type, but that never bothered Minerva. Their conversation took her mind off her empty stomach and the burning warmth inside her. Krishna flew around Minerva, gleefully smiling like a child. The two had been best friends since before they could remember. They've just always been side by side. Now Krishna was Minerva's escort and messenger. "I'm so glad you get to see the Capitol, Minerva! I'm sure you'll like it! There's so much to do and see! So many shops and places to visit!" "And I bet you stick out like a sore wing~" Minerva jested. Those from their clan were a rarity to see outside their home and enjoyed staying hidden, away from prying eyes. Because of this Minerva was always curious about outsiders and the lands beyond the mountain.

"There it is!" The dirty blonde haired girl pointed her talon out to the horizon where a great city was coming into view. Even from where they were it was an astounding view. Like a jewel set in the ground. The two girls angled themselves and their large wings correctly, preparing to land in the great city. Once their talons touched the ground Krishna gave the leather bag to her dearest friend. "This is where we part ways. Up those steps and through the halls." "...You're not coming with me?" "You know I can't, Minnie. This is your day, not mine. Just focus on the hunt. I know it'll be even more difficult for you since it's Sawm-dehl, but I'm sure you'll do fine." Minerva looked to the stairs that led to the future she was still unsure of. Her friend's balled up talon hit her shoulder gently. "Stop being so down. You're not going to get anywhere with a frown." The Priestess's smile curved softly as she held her single bag tightly. "You're right, I'm s---" The blonde wrapped her arms around the Priestess tightly and Minerva returned the embrace. "Be safe. I know you will choose the right one." "I will. Goodbye."

Letting go of her best friend Minerva made her way up the flight of steps. It wasn't a surprise that there were many young women attending, all here for the same reason. Her wings folded onto her back. There were very few of the Avian races. As expected she didn't see any of her race. And if they were here, they hid themselves very well. Of course, as expected. She already had a long conversation with the females of her clan about what to do during the hunt. Every young woman there was unique in her own way, each sparked some interest in the young Priestess. ♪♩"Little one seek and ye shall find. The man spoke with a thick accent Taro hadn’t hear of before, he was obviously a foreigner even his clothing and jewelry had this sort of exotic look to them. But then, the man began speaking in a way that Taro found most odd, he recovered rather quickly considering his previous tone but there was a certain...joy to his voice. He was happy to be stuck in this god forsaken jungle?! He questioned the man’s mental stability, and questioned if he was safe to follow him.

But it seemed as though he didn’t have time to dwell, any company seemed good right about now, after all there were strength in numbers “Taro...Taro Ikazuchi is my name...pleased to meet you.” He bowed slightly “Um...I don’t believe I got your name...Mister....”

Quinn Keondre
Quinn reached the base of the tree he had been climbing and turned leaning against it and closing his eyes bringing up the image of the landscape in his mind so that he wouldn't be wandering aimlessly. A smile came upon his face as he opened his eyes considering himself lucky to be gifted with the memory he had at that moment. As of this moment he was confident he wouldn't be able to get lost anymore. It was a shame that there didn't seem to be anything to find out there though. Amongst the weird landscape there had been no signs of civilization so it seemed like that option was out despite how it would definitely help clear things up. He began to move towards the stream he had seen, his steps where sure knowing that his memory would not fail him. Having gotten a view of the landscape had at least put him at ease a little bit, as he now knew the layout and would surely be able to use it too his advantage if needed. But the general layout was different than knowing the specifics so as he traveled he did a lot of viewing of his surroundings every tree, every bush, noting, memorizing, and keeping in the back of his mind for just in case scenarios. He could hear the sound of rushing water nearby and he smiled again taking solace in the small victory of his. He stopped just before though wondering that if there where other people out here what type of people they would be. His mind raced through memories of the type of people he had grown used to dealing with.

He searched himself, something which he couldn't believe he had not done before. Searching his pockets he was relieved to find a pad of paper, a lighter, a pen, and a small pocket knife. Each object could have some use given his situation but as of this moment he felt glad he had some form of defence though it was small. Quinn dreaded having to use it, but he did not have much faith in the kindness of others so over all he was glad that he had it. He came out of the trees the stream coming into view and scanned the area. First things first. Walking to the waters edge he removed his glasses and quietly washed them having to have dealt with minor smudging due to his climb previous. After putting the spectacles back on his face he looked down at the water itself. It seemed clean enough to drink but he wouldn't risk it right now fearing detrimental consequences later on. "Is anyone out there?!" He called out once more wondering if his advice had gone unheard earlier. His shoulders sagged slightly looking down the length of the stream he knew one side of it lead out too the beach area which he had woken up at so he faced the opposite direction and began too follow it.

As Apox waited for the male to respond he continued to walk and observe the familiar yet very unique and foreign terrain around him. A beam of sun light hit the side of his face illuminating his dark green eyes and causing him to look up in the direction but not exactly at the sun. In his line of sight was what looked like a Palm tree, that was weird for this environment surely. The long strands of the tree caused him to think back on events prior to arriving in this strange land. Always the avid animal studier Apox was excited when a teacher called him and several other people to announce a trip to the amazon. "We will go find a rather rare spider, the Root Sap Spider!" The words caused Apox face to light up as he had only been on online forums at the moment, how boring. Needless to say he prepared for the trip quickly and had detailed conversations with the teacher, Ms. Robeaxu was her name. Sigh, he missed her now that his mind was thrown into the past.

Suddenly the male behind him started to speak and Apox looked over his shoulder to keep some level of eye contact with the black haired male. Based off the lad's name Apox knew he was of the far eastern origin and the bow the male did soon after confirmed it. Apox took note that the male requested his name but chose not to answer at the moment. "I suspect you are from Tokyo," he paused to think about his next reply. "I am rather interested in such cultures different than my own. Do tell me of your." Apox suspected that such a subject would be plenty of a talking subject. Would be better than a awkward silence to fall over the group when they met each other so recently. "Oh! If you see anything lad let me know. Lets continue down this river and see if we can find aid. We need a idea of where we are. Also! Let me know if you see any weird animals. I actually saw a four arms monkey while trapped in the river."

For much of his schooling years Apox had been called a nerd and other things by the less ... intelligent of his class mate. Most people would've shut down at the jokes and pokes but Apox never did, he still remained social to those who gave him a chance. It had just crossed his mind that they may need a weapon should anything come at them. Being the ingenuitive type Apox could make or craft plenty of things. His eyes darted along the ground to look for any usable thing.

Suddenly movement up ahead caused him to stop and focus his attention on that. It was someone! Someone by the junction of the river, ahh so it had split into multiple ways. Which was went to civilization he wondered. But pushing that to the middle of his mind he was pleased to see another person. It probably wasn't the smartest of things to just be so friendly but these people just as confused as he. Again he spoke "Oi!" He turned to his friend behind him with a expression that just said he hoped they didn't just walk into a killer.

Taro

Was his country of origin really that obvious? True, he was born in Tokyo Japan but Taro had been studying abroad for medicine for the last few years now. Actually, because of his circumstance he was pleased for the opportunity, at least a language barrier wasn’t going to be an issue. Taro suddenly paused for a brief moment as the man mentioned sight of a four armed monkey. Did he hear him right? He blinked a few times but ran to catch up.

Soon, he heard another voice in the distance yell “Is anyone out there?!” The voice didn’t sound too far off, but in this dense jungle it was hard to tell which way was up. Best he could do was add his voice to the stranger’s in hopes that more would follow. “Heeeey! Over here!” He waved his arms trying to get the man’s attention.

Erik looked over his shoulder at him and gave him a strange look He really thinks this isn't earth? That is a little too sci-fi or fantasy like, maybe he has been playing too many games to think like that he thought to himself. "We should find a water source, we can have water and food that way plus there is a good chance it will lead to civilization if we follow it" he said through the puff on his cigarette. His free hand moved to bring out his cellphone and could only shake his head at the sight of having absolutely no bars for signal. "Pay over two hundred buck for this and not even a chance for signal here in the woods, best signal in the world my a**" he said mostly to himself as he put the phone back in his pocket. "I didn't introduce myself before, the names Erik. Pleasure" he said with a nod as he continued on in hopes of finding a river of some kind.

The figures of two others came into view and Quinn couldn't help but feel a little relieved at seeing another person after hours of scouting. As he proceeded to walk closer he made sure his hands were visible and his own demeanour was non threatening. "Well hello there. You two wouldn't happen to be lost?" as he neared he stopped just out of reach of the two as a precaution he looked from one too the other taking in their features and memorizing them instantly. "My name is Quinn and I just kind of woke up here myself...I think it's important that you know that from what I've seen this river leads to a desert next too an arctic tundra. The forest is expansive and there doesn't seem to be any signs of a town or city for miles in any direction" as he spoke he stayed in his place just a little farther from the two he had come across. He felt he needed to share what he knew in order to help their chances of survival but was not one who was quick to trust anyone he met.

He reflected on how absurd his words might sound to them but merely sighed knowing that it was the truth. One of them seemed slightly panicked whilst the other was taking in his surroundings almost joyously. Nothing about them really told him that they were a threat but he still kept his distance. His own expression was somewhat solemn "on top of all that the plant life here is unlike any known species I'm aware of...not too mention that other than the makeup of the landscape itself there's not much noticeable landmarks to go off of. he explained calmly his own emotions seemingly under control despite the situation he described they were in. He was scared for sure, but he knew that acting in such a manner would be of no help to anyone especially himself. In the presence of these two had only allowed him a moment of solace. He hoped that they weren't psychopaths it would be a difficult situation if he needed to get things under control. For now he merely stood there quietly awaiting their reactions and preparing mentally for the worst if it transpired.

Ding-dong, Hurry, open the door,
I have come for you, Trying to hide from me is futile

Inhale...Exhale...Inhale...Exhale..., the female sitting chanted in her mind, attempting to control the rush of her heart, the heat in her stomach, the excitement that was threatening to wash over her. Her whole figure shuddered for a moment, a bright line of color moving with rhythm with it along her outer form, and the tentacles emerging from her pelvis down her thighs, decorating her like a skirt, each swayed as though a wind was blowing through them. The view erupted a gentle laughter from the woman standing behind her, "You are almost ready, the messenger will be here soon", the elder moved the bone comb held in her one scarred hand through her daughters hair with long strokes, the action itself with the soft voice helped relieve some of the young's stress. "Yes mother, the youngster said with a smile, feeling the others lips on her forehead.

Soon as was anticipated, the messenger came, and the last things were set to place. As Auryon finally exited the room she had been currently in, she was finally prepared, a pink single water flower was bind in her hair, and a shining red jewelry was a rapped thin around her bicep, different from what she usually had, which was in green, but this one symbol end both her role as a hunter and her participance in the hunt. After a blessing to success from her mother, she started on her way to the city, with two fellow huntresses.

Auryon eyes were skipping from one sight to the other, examining the people and those which belonged to other tribes. Once at the steps, the group of women parted from one another, and the young girl entered by herself to the throne room, each step that drove her closer were making her excitement grow, her eyes twinkling lively, and the smallest of smirks settled upon her lips, as she felt the huntress inside her ready to erupt and she would be consumed by the magnificent feel of her instincts and senses. "Soon... Very soon, she whispered gently as she entered, taking her place beside the other females.

With the sudden news that made Apox feel helpless to himself and the two males he was now in the presence of he looked down to the ground with his had on his chin. Think, think, think. These were the words that he told himself, trying to make himself believe that there was chance to solve such a problem. In ancient and primitive cultures on Earth the rivers had been a hot bed of activity, a life source. Now though, in the civilized and developed world, major river sources were in use but there were those that were either unheard of or not used at all. For such news to be provided by the new companion to be true then surely there was a developed culture in this world, one that had advanced past their primitive ways to some extent. This new found thought brought a slight smile to his face as he walked to a near by boulder to sit on, his feet slightly aching. The tree adjacent to him made him think about climbing it, getting a higher ground to see all that was viewable. At this notion he wondered how the male just most recently met knew what he knew, had he climbed a tree or got to higher ground before? Apox's observant eyes looked at the males hands. Though he was a distance sitting on a rock Apox could still see the pale centers of the male's hands. The pale skin was perfect contrast against the dark green and brown stained against his hands. His nails were even greater indicators that he may have climbed. In the nails clung some debris but more importantly were the chipped nail(s), a sign of work and effort most common with climbing with out tools.

Now reasoning that they needed more information but figured they had just about enough information about the absence of near by civilization Apox reasoned that there had to be other lost people. He had made it up in his mind that they needed to be found. Standing up he walked back over to the boy he first met but spoke to both males. "I believe we need to find other lost people like us, perhaps they have acquired extra information." Never being the one to just grab the title of leader Apox suggested this as to show that they had a choice in the matter. He also wasn't sure if his idea was the best so welcomed different suggestions. Waiting for their replies he went to sit on the same rock and observed the flora closest to it. His study would certainly distract him while they either chose to listen to his advice or come up with something better.

While he messed with the flora some other thoughts crossed his mind like what would be done after other's were seen. Again he reasoned out a answer and found it important to look for both clean water and food sources as they ventured. The most important thing to him was finding a village or town, some civilization that could offer local expert information. Seeing as the male had already brushed the odds of civilization away then finding other lost people was indeed next up

Sunna Zaragosa

A soft sigh escaped the young woman's lips as she stared at the sun rising on the horizon. She wasn't going to get all dressed up for this occasion. Screw that, what she really wanted to do was abandon her tribe and run free. Like an animal, like the Komodo that she was. She didn't want to be tied down, she wanted to be like one of the guys, to choose when they get to find a mate. She wanted to find one, but didn't want to be forced. She wanted to find someone who fit her fathers expectations. Someone she could wrestle with, someone that she could argue with, someone whom she could laugh and cry with. She did want a mate, but she was afraid that she would be stuck, tied down. She was meant to be free, and she wanted someone who would be free with her.

There was so huge celebration when the young women came to age in their tribe, the celebration happened after they brought home a worthy mate. Someone worthy of their time. She felt bad for the mate that she was going to choose. They had to deal with her father, the overprotective, critical man that he was. If they could do that then they would be proven worthy to father her children. The only person who had ever stood up to her father was her mother if course. But anyways, she needed to head to the castle, she was probably already late.

She jumped off of the rock that she was climbing on, and landed on the ground with a soft thud. She sped off, her cream colored hair whooshing behind her. She moved out of the forest quickly and towards the palace where she was supposed to be. Time had flown by then and she walked into the throne room, waiting for the queen to speak. She was digging in the bag that her parents gave her, grabbing herself a knife, made of stone of course and a small bag filled with flint stones. She had brought along her bow and arrows from her tribe, so she could hunt, being a carnivore and all.

Sunna was getting a little impatient, she wanted to start.

A lone figure soaked in a large, round bath. Steam rose from the top of the water and made the room hard to see in. Guards stood at the door protecting the one in the bath from the intruders outside. The ones outside all wanted to see the one inside the bath. Large, tawny-white wings lay out of the water on the deck surrounding the warm pool of water. "My Lady, the Queen requests you" a voice behind her said. The woman swiveled her head around to peer at the person who spoke. The woman's long brown locks fell into eyes and floated on the top of the water. "Alright" the one in the water said, rising from the steamy water and stepping onto dry land. She was handed a towel and immediately prepped for the meeting with the Queen.

Akaneia Loptyr of the Eagles dressed in meager clothing. The Eagles did not care about nudity. Most in their area of the world often went stark naked and walked into towns due to the fact that they shifted so frequently. Akaneia adorned herself in light, stone armor that almost resembled its metallic brethren. The Eagles had put much time into studying the potential of stone when used as armor. After all, warriors needed armor to protect them from other soldiers.

The warrior strode from the bathing room and glared at the males that were being pushed back by the guards. Few flinched and backed off from the glare and aura the woman was producing. These males were weak and were probably the runts of their families. "My Lady, let us go" another guard said guiding the woman toward where the Queen's throne was.

Eagles were notorious for their ruthlessness in not only battling with each other and with different groups, but with their Hunts. Females turned into their Eagle forms and marked the males in a specific way. With predatory instincts at full throttle, the female Eagles would swoop down on those males who were deemed worthy and gored in their backs by the female's talons. Some males from earlier Hunts had been present today judging from the markings on their backs. New males did not know what they were getting into this year. Akaneia was different from that of another of her Clan. She was a Pouakai: a massive eagle with talons as large as a tiger's and with a temper to back the ferocity up. Pouakai were rare in the Eagle Clan. They were a tiny minority and the Royals of the Eagles wanted to further the line. In ancient times, the Pouakai entered into a contract with the Royals and were to serve as the elite guards and commanders of the Eagles' military.

Akaneia arrived at the throne room and stood with her arms crossed over her chest waiting for the Queen of Terra to start her speech. The Queen always gave one during the beginning of a Hunt. It was tradition and this year wouldn't be any different.

OOC~ I'm presuming that they can turn into their animals forms?
