Sepheroth gave Gerik a warm smile. "Gerik." she acknowledged, in a much friendlier tone. Her friendliness was genuine. Her only begrudge with this place was making friends was nigh impossible. If you made friends, you would eventually end up in battle if you avoided battling each other, and the forced battle would always be to the death. If it was a challenge, it would probably ruin any friendly notions between said friends. She still tried to be friendly with every one, even if she ended a battle with them in bloodied shreds.

The announcement made Sepheroth chuckle. "Bloodbreath? Do you think he's just giving up at this point?" She remarked.

~Adonis, The Lowly Sand Monkey~

Adonis heard the man come in and talk about Bloodbreath, but it didn't phase him. He was completely unaware of the society within these walls and the ranking of the people within it. The name sounded intimidating, but it meant nothing to him. Adonis, Prince of the Sands, soon to be King of Gerudo, was being called a Sand Monkey. A female that was both smaller and weighed less than he did was being called Steel Rose and Champion. Surely these nicknames were way out of place.

Adonis looked over his shoulder with his eyes no longer illuminated now looking at the Physical World. When looking into the Spirit World, he couldn't see simple things such as facial expressions. It seemed like everyone was concerned, but it seemed like they were more concerned for Jeanne's opponent rather than herself. Adonis was aware that Cryo was also a new guy, but he felt like he was sucking up to Jeanne as an attempt to assimilate into their ranks, something Adonis was not going to do. He look towards Sepheroth with the same judgemental look. Her armor appeared to make her large and intimidating along with her weapon, but Adonis would remain indifferent until he saw her skill with it. At the moment these people were not worth getting to know, especially since he didn't plan to be here a moment longer. They all seemed to accept their fate and were thinking about who their opponents were going to be while Adonis was still set on escaping. How he was going to go about it? That plan was still in the works.

D walked into the dimly lit corridors of the living quarters. His hands and feet where bound in chains as three armored guards escort him in. D glances around at the state of disrepair of the living quarters. Dark, Damp and not maintained in the least. This was exactly the kind of place D thrived in. A place he was used to. "Just like home." He says in a dark cold voice to himself. The guards open the last gate and take off D's shackles before shoving him inside. He looks over his shoulder as the door slams shut. He walks through the Living quarters taking note of who was awake and who was asleep before walking over to a wall and sitting down with his back against it.

"C'mon, Show me that you belong in this arena..."

Alice had stopped paying attention to newcomers, She began to assume this was normal. Alice had started practicing on a training dummy, using her hand to hand techniques as the rest of her equipment set on the floor next to her. She jabbed and kicked relentlessly on the dummy, bits of straw flying out, almost like it was blood. She panted heavily, her punches getting heavier and faster as She began to picture the enemy, her anger getting the best of her and One punch to the "cheek" of the dummy would send the head falling with straw and a piece of the stick still attached, She panted. It wasn't long after until a guard had called her over, walking towards him, She noticed the old man whom captured her was standing in the corridor leading into the room. She walked out and the guard cracked the door, knowing he would have to open it again.

As She stood in the corridor with the old man, Two of his bodyguards forced her against the wall and the Old man grinned, "Now since you're here...I can finally tell you my plan for you." The old man coughed and cackled. "Unlike your enemies, you won't have the same chance as they will, You WILL become MY champion, If you make it past your tenth battle, you will choose to have the glory of the arena fighter, If not, You will be hunted and you will be killed. Same goes for losing...You will not surrender under any circumstances. I have Big money invested in you, Mutt." The bodyguards let her go and the old man whacked her in the side with his cane, enough to send a sting down her body. "You can take this harlot back inside with the rest of the fighters, I'm sure She understands what I ask of her..." Alice now realized what this was all about, She was the unlucky one, She had to be taken by the greedy old man, She should have known better, She was foolish. Regardless, Alice nodded and the guard gripped her by the hair and slung her back inside.

"...If not, then stop wasting my time and let me kill you..."

Gerik watched Alice thrown back inside, and tugged at his beard. "I think," He muttered, without looking at Alice. "That your sponsor there doesn't know what he's asking of you." The muscular man was seated upon a chair that he had turned to face the door, his dented tin flagon clutched in one thick, paw-like hand. He turned his head, and looked over at Jeanne, careful not to meet her gaze, and then returned his attention to Alice. He had quite easily heard the old man's words, thanks to the door being cracked open.

"It seems like you have a choice of two deaths." Gerik said solemly to the blinded woman, an expression of weary pity on his bearded face. He took a huge swig of mead from his flagon, wiped his mouth and frowned at Alice, his expression becoming thoughtful. "Or you could escape." He added with a shrug of his broad shoulders.

Cryo's head popped up, as he heard the gates close again, He stood up. It was clear he wasn't gonna be able to rest, He walked around a bit looking around a new fighter had entered, he would have to grow use to this, he walked passed the man and watched as Alice was taken into the corridor, he didn't like how she was being treated but there wasn't anything he could do about it. as the guard slung her back in by her hair he couldn't hold his tongue anymore. " Im sure you must fill really tough sir.." He shook his head and walked away from Alice to the training dummies, He drew his sword that looked to be made out of diamond, and he attacked the dummy.
He looked over at Sternheart, " Do you know of anyone thats escaped.." He wasn't asking seriously, " Cause if thats the case how come you haven't escaped?"

Alice looked up at Gerik, getting up and taking a seat next to him and sighed, "My life has been...a lucky one, I suppose...I'm as corrupt as he is, Only difference is he holds the leash...and all I can do is tug and pull while He drags me across his path of thorns and broken glass." She spoke metaphorically, letting out a tiny chuckle after, "I will have my freedom, One way or another..." She looked towards another flagon, taking it, "You don't mind, do you? considering this is your mead." She asked, seeing that it was almost full inside.

"...If not, then stop wasting my time and let me kill you..."

The Steel Rose

I seek a different freedom.

Jeanne growled as she stormed towards her arena entrance. This morning was doing a great job of pissing her off, something not wise for anyone. The challenge wouldn't be getting to her so much had she not have had to remind someone of the rule of no to shed blood outside of the ring. She still had a knight deep down and when people were in the bloodworks she was their protector and guardian. Soon she was behind the massive iron doors that led to the ring. She knew the other warriors would be filing into their seating at ground level, giving them the best sight of the battle.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Princes and paupers! Welcome to the Immortal Arena! We are please to announce a very special match to start off today! Steel Rose, your beloved Champion must defend her title from the fearsome Orc barbarian Bloodbreath! As you know, he was given this title after he drank the blood of those he had killed. Will he feast on the sweet blood of our beloved Champion, or will she add another notch to her belt? Lets find out! Combatants! Enter the Arena and take your places!!!" the fat man shouted, doing what he did best, selling death.

The iron doors creaked open and Jeanne marched into the ring, the sand floor crunching under feet, still wet from the morning dew. Her eyes were focused and narrowed onto the Orc as he moved out from his small barred door. He had a look of superiority and cockiness on his dark green, tusked face. He clearly had no idea what he had gotten himself into. His simple ignorance angered her more. Did he not see her pick apart her last opponent? Did he fool himself that he had what it took to kill a monster like her?

I will break the world if I must.

((Don't forget that combatants can watch the fight! I'm going to bed soon. I gotta work really early. >.< ))

As Alice spoke, Gerik shrugged in a sympathetic sort of way, and nodded his permission when she asked to take one of the full flagons.

"'Tis not really my mead, it's just a joke Jeanne and I have. I drink a fair lot of the stuff." He admitted with a rueful chuckle, and then his sober expression returned. He opened his mouth to reply to her, but Cryo piped up first. Gerik hauled himself around in his chair, the wood creaking as if it were about to collapse, and he locked his gaze on the Mystic.

"Once or twice. Or was it three times? Either way, the stories change every time they're told. For instance," Gerik paused to take another swig of mead and clear his throat. "One of the three escapees was twice my size, ten times as strong, and could conjure beasts spawned from the lowest depths of the underworld with a click of his fingers. The second wielded a whip longer than my whole body and choked the life out of the previous Gamesmaster after holding him hostage. The third...well, the third was supposedly the reincarnation of an ancient assassin who murdered whole lines of royal blood for gold, and killed half the crowd on his way out during his final match, just because they were there." Gerik relates the stories in the same hushed and morbid tones that he had been told them in, though naturally, he spoke with a far deeper voice than any other.

The man then sat back up and towered in his chair once more. "I haven't escaped because I am under no delusion. I wouldn't be able to fight off the entire city guard, nor could any but the strongest horse bear me, my weapons, and my armour. Nor have I escaped because I would never be able to look my father in the eye." Gerik gestured to their surroundings and laughed a long, booming laugh. "They may have captured me with cowardly means, but I will play their game, for if I win my freedom with the strength of my own arms, then there is no shame." Gerik nodded as if to agree with himself, then drained the last of his mead and slammed the flagon down on the table cheerfully.

"Come now. I think it will be good for the both of you to see why I choose not to fight Jeanne, and thus win my ticket home in a shorter time. I am a giant, but I am no match for her." He spoke with admiration and respect clear in his voice as he rose to his feet, stomped through the training room, and paused by an archway. Beyond the arch lay a set of stairs. Up the stairs was a platform built underneath the spectator's seating, and in the wall facing the arena there was a barred window level with the arena floor. Gerik gestured to be followed, and then ascended the stairs amid the creaking of old wood.

Cryo grinned at Geriks answer he was satisfied with it, " I like that answer.. " He spun his sword around sheathed it. He walked out to were the combatants could sit and watch the fight. He sat down at the furthest seat down, he leaned back in he seat, and tried to focus on watching the fight. But He couldn't help looking around at the crowed he could see. This is horrible and to think the elders wanted to take over a world like this. He shook his head a world like this was better off just getting destroyed in his opinion. He crossed his arms and refocused on the soon to be battle.

Sepheroth zoned out of what was being spoken. It was other peoples business that she didn't quite care for. She did notice some one giving her a judgmental look, however. She had gotten plenty of those. Too many people had passed her off as just looking intimidating.

She watched the people practice. She never practiced in front of others- it showed her techniques, styles. What she could be capable of. Instead, she simply watched and took note of others.

She zoned back in when Jeanne started to approach the arena entrance and shot up from the bench. She knew how Jeanne hated killing, and felt she was a monster. If anything, Sepheroth was the monster. She was quite possibly the only one with a choice to be there. In fact, she was hoping she would have a battle next, specifically to the death.

She went over to the door that led to the seats, then stepped down to her favorite seat, proceeding to wait impatiently for the fighting to start. She hoped the battle wouldn't be over too soon. Knowing Jeanne, Sepheroth assumed she was hoping for the complete opposite. Perhaps hoping Bloodbreath would just fall over dead before she even touched him.

D stands and walks towards guard at the door when the heel of his boot strikes the ground no sound emits whilst he silently glides toward the door leading to the the battle director. D's cloak hides his body as he looms over the small ugly middle aged man. "I want a fight." He says in a cold dark tone. "What?" Replies the man. "I want to kill something." He says in a annoyed mocking tone. "Make it something challenging." He adds as he looks over at the current battle taking place. "Well aren't you an eager one. What's your name boy?" The ugly man questions. "You do have a name don't you?" He adds. "Only a letter. D." D tells him. "Come find me when you have bout for me to kill." D turns and walks towards the wall looking over at the battle as he crosses his arms under his cloak. His large brimmed hat casting a shadow over his pale face.

~Adonis, The Lowly Sand Monkey~

Adoins was the last to leave the common area as everyone else went out towards the arena to see Jeanne fight her next opponent. As Gerik spoke to the other two, Adonis couldn't also help but feel like Gerik was trying to give Adonis advice. -Escaping from this place is going to be quite difficult.- Adonis thought. As previously suggested, it seemed like he was the only one who wasn't going to accept his fate here in the Immortal Arena just as Gerik had. Seemed like asking him to help out was now out of the question.

Not wanting to be alone in the room, Adonis slowly walked through the door on the other end towards the arena where the other gladiators went. He didn't take a seat but just stood in the background. It was too embarassing for a Prince like himself to be witness by the public in chains.

The Steel Rose

I seek a different freedom.

The pompous obese man waited until both combatants were at their respective starting lines, roughly ten meters apart. A twisted smile made his already grotesque face even more hideous. He could tell Steel Rose was annoyed. Good, she always gave the crowd more of a show when she was hot under the collar. "Combatants ready!!! Fight!!!" the fat pig squealed, signalling the beginning of the battle.

Jeanne simply began to march forward, drawing her rapier as she did. The orc did what any orc beserker would do, draw his massive claymore and break out into a sprint while screaming and roaring like an animal. The second he began to move, the Champion's eyes narrowed. Her stare focused on his large powerful arms. Still she did not alter her speed or course but simply walked forward as the distance between them closed. Soon the massive green beast was in striking distance. As he prepared to swing his great weapon downwards, Jeanne carefully took a step to the side. Barely a second later, the claymore cleaved the air where the champion had been standing before, crashing into the sand with a loud metallic crash.

This was the first stage of Jeanne's power, called Foresight. She could read the flow and build up of the electro-chemical and magical energy in people. Carefully watching these energies, she could predict with a high degree of accuracy what actions an opponent would make up to a second in advance. Its drawbacks were physical ranged weapons. She could tell when an opponent would be throwing or firing, but once the projectile was in the air she was just a clueless as most people. Thankfully this barbarian orc didn't have such weapons.

With his grand opening attack safely dodged, Jeanne lunged forward and extended her sword arm with all her strength. She aimed the tip of her weapon for the green skinned goliath's right shoulder. He was too big and slow to avoid the attack, help he probably was still trying to figure out why his attack missed. Her silver blade bit into his flesh, but only a little. Her blade had only sunk in about a half and inch. "Dammit!" she growled loudly. The orc had very thick skin, something she hadn't counted on. She could jab at him all day and still never kill him at this rate. Yanking her sword free, Jeanne leaped back, out of range for his weapon as she began to think of a new strategy.

I will break the world if I must.

((Update: Several new profiles just dropped as well as Jeanne's profile was updated. Stage one of her power is now revealed! Also, sorry for being gone most of the day. Hate work so much. >.< ))
